We took a project boat that we purchased and needed help getting it going. They would call with each step they took to make sure I knew what they were doing, and how much I could expect it to cost. There was never any question as to whether or not they were trying to rip me off or not. Bill would go over his findings with us and take the time to explain it to us. I am very pleased with there service and they will be our boat mechanic from now on.

Boaters beware. I have a 2013 Mercury 60hp 4stroke that was purchase brand new from them in 2013 and is still under warranty. I took the boat in April 2018 because the boat would crank and idle but would not throttle up and eventually go dead. The actual mechanic called me back and tells me that it’s some type of fuel pressure regulator inside the motor and he says he’s not 100% positive this is the problem but he feels very confident and that it would cost me $1200. So what am I supposed to do?i’m not a boat mechanic and very reluctantly I said OK whatever you think is best you’re the mechanic not me. So I pick up the boat I take it immediately to the water and it’s doing the exact same thing. It will crank and idol but will not throttle up. So I take it back and they decide to put it in the water and during that time they found out that it was a collapsed fuel line the whole time and then charge me an additional $177. So I basically paid $1400 for 3 feet of fuel line. They take no responsibility for their misdiagnosis and do not even attempt to honor my warranty Probably because they know if they send that pump off they replaced Mercury will find absolutely nothing wrong with it. These guys are certified mercury dealers that do not honor their warranty or stand behind their product. Beware!

Key marine just got my boat ready for summer and I couldnt be more happy I took it to these great people. I bought the boat gently used back in November. Danny suggested I bring up the previous service receipts so they could check and make sure it had been properly maintained. He immediately noticed a part number was incorrect for the water pump that was supposedly put in April of 2017. He noticed it was for a smaller motor and not my 300 yamaha. Seeing water pump on a receipt in April of 2017 and less than 100 hours of use following that would have never made us think to change it this year. We are so very thankful for Bill and Danny for further inspecting and noticing the lower unit bolts had appeared to be untouched which would have been required with a water pump change. We agreed to go ahead and play it safe and go in for inspection and change the water pump.... much to our surprise the original water pump was still in and the impeller was falling apart. We are so blessed this was found now and not when were 30 miles off shore and stuck. Thank you so much key marine especially Danny and Bill for being honest and so knowledgeable in proper care of motors. Customer service does not get better than these guys! I can not say enough good things about my experience and I appreciate yall so much =]

After being around boats for decades I have all sorts of experience with people Ive run into in the sales/service end, some good experiences to a lot mediocre to more than my fair share of outright horror stories. Pretty sure I can rate the guys at Key Marine up there at the top. Its apparent that they are professionals and proud of what they do.

I took my boat in for a oil change, lower unit service, charge the batteries, and diagnose the reason the bilge wasnt working. The only time I was contacted by this place in the 12 days my boat was there was to tell me my boat wasnt pumping water. I found that strange since I had washed, waxed, and ran my engine the day before I took it in. Since I live a mile from them, I chose to stop by and see what was going on. When I spoke to the mechanic and told him the water pump was just replaced and the boat ran fine before I brought it in for service. He replied, the way the ticket was wrote up he assumed there was a problem at the motor, and sometimes its left up to them to read between the lines. I explained everything to the mechanic again. After two days and no word, I stopped by again. The mechanic had removed the water pump and told me it might need replacing. I declined his recommendation and he then explained he found a fitting in the outdrive that was cracked and he would need to pull it for further diagnosis. I was told I would be contacted with a quote. After another day of no news, and still trying to figure out exactly what was going on, I stopped by again. I was told my boat was next to be worked on and I would receive a call soon. 8 hours later I stopped by and my boat had not been touched. I paid the 600$ for the oil change, lower unit service, and fuse replacement for the bilge and hooked to my boat. The floor and swim platform was filthy from grease and shoes and my water pump was handed to me in a box. I will never return to this place and will not recommend it to anyone!!! Im 45 years old and owned boats all my life, I understand things happen but the way this all played out was extremely unprofessional and shady.
