Barry sold us a “refurbished” prop ($160) he claimed was made for our Volvo penta out drive. Put the prop on, took boat out and the vibration was so bad we feared it would damage the outdrive. We took the prop to another shop, they showed us where one prop blade had been hammered and one place welded. Told us prop was so bad he couldn’t even balance it!After reading reviews (after the fact) determined we wouldn’t get our money back. However, we are posting this to say we cannot recommend this crook to any one. We suggest Compuprop in FWB. Stay far away from the prop shop.
Bought a jack plate from Bill. Fine. Took a prop to try and left deposit and got receipt. Returned prop and got stiffed for 30 dollars of my deposit. He would not give me what he wrote on the invoice so I left and told him I would never do business with him again. BEWARE.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!! Sold me a pair of inboard props that we’re suppose of to be ready to go..they were terrible. After paying a diver to remove them TWICE I accepted that this shop doesn’t have the capability of fixing them right. Paid $1400 for another shop in orange beach to fix them. Went back and asked for some of my money back since I now had almost $2k invested in fixing the props I already paid them $1500 for... was told the money was already spent. Moral of the story is they do terribly poor quality work and they don’t mind ripping you off.
Bought a prop from Bill this morning and he hand delivered it to my shop this afternoon in Gulf Breeze. A+ service
Dennis and Dave re-hubbed my prop while I waited. Super fast and Very Friendly.
Have had Prop Shop rework several sets of stainless steel Volvo Penta DuoProps. I have had them repair one set that was damaged that I bought off Ebay--worked good as new. I have had one set tuned for a little more speed and picked up 1-2 mph. Best propeller repair/rework in Pensacola.
Great shop, good work and prices!
Terrible work and expensive
