Looking for some good, tasty Italian desserts and homemade food? This market has them as well as other food items. If you love chocolate, you should try the chocolate beast and the chocolate raspberry cakes. Truly decadent and they shall amuse your taste buds. And the tiramisu is light and fluffy and you have to be careful that you may want to eat the whole cake. I added a bit of amaretto to my tiramisu and just transported it to the next level. 😉 Also eating one or two fig cookies are not enough! There is a butcher and a fish shop and the you can get some prepared uncooked foods frozen to cook for a later date.

I decided to make a trip to Doris Italian Market & Bakery in Pembroke Pines on New Years Eve to see if I could find a cake. I hit the jackpot and purchased a Chocolate Mousse and ask the nice woman behind the counter if she could decorate the cake for the New Years. This was the best cake I had in a very long time with how bad 2020 has been for me it made the evening even better with my guests complementing me and asking for more cake the next day. My hats off to the baker the nice woman in the bakery department and Doris keep up the great work. Happy 2021.

This place has better prices than Publix. They have better cuts of meat - especially lamb - which, by the way, is WAY cheaper for the same quality. I had to special order a whole lamb‘s leg from Publix, and when I went to pick it up it was only the top part of the leg with no shank. I did want it, I wanted a whole one. So I called Doris Italian market, and sure enough she had whole ones in stock at a much, much better price.Thank God there’s one nearby.

What a fun store. We were asked multiple times if we needed help. Butcher shop, seafood, deli, bakery, fresh produce, and hard to find Italian cookong/baking products.

Friends have always recommended Doris. I visited today for my last time. I stopped by the meat department and picked up two stuffed pork chops. I then went to the other deli to pick up side items. As I was standing there I noticed the deli employees notice me. They knew I was standing there. Instead of asking whos next, they asked the first person who approached the deli who had literally just rolled up. So, I gave the pork chops back to the butcher and left.

Best place to get your Italian fix the right way. Always fresh vegetales and fruits. Authentic Italian products and they are all super attentive and nice

We love Doris and are loyal customers since we found them in Hollywood. This location is clean and the staff is always friendly. The pastries are always to die for.

Their imported meats and cheese awesome, their sweets bad. We tried different types of cakes. Their strawberry shortcake is really good. Their 7 layer chocolate cake is dried. Their rum cake has no rum flavor. The Italian cookies were stale. We bought them on Thursday. Maybe they were from the previous weekend. Staff very friendly. Overall 3 stars.

They always make you feel like you are home. Everyone welcomes you upon entering and the staff makes you feel like family. The prices are reasonable and the selections are amazing. There is so much to eat and buy you will want to keep coming back for more...every time I can something new. Everyone makes the experience perfect....

I always loved coming here to buy authentic Italian food, pastries, prepared meats & cheeses...I even drive all the way from east Hollywood (since the HW location closed). Although today I had a very different experience. I went through check out with a cashier named GWEN, she asked me about some of the food I was purchasing. I proceeded to describe the food taste, texture and parings only to be very surprised and insulted by her loud & boisterous reaction, eewh grose, that sounds nasty, some people in the line next to me looked over our direction, I couldnt believe that someone that works in an ethinic cuisine food store was loudly commenting on my choice of food, although she had likely never even tasted it. I was so embarrased. Its culturally incompetent encounters like this that show a low tolerance for the beautiful diversity in our community and can create barriers to progress. She could have explained her distaste in a more respectful & courteous manner, for example she could have said I dont really like Olives so I probably wouldnt like capers, a civil conversation instead of a loud opinion of my grose food choices. I gently explained to Gwen that when you work in an authentic/ethinic food niche its generally not polite to voice distaste for the customers choice in food and that its culturally insensitive to which Gwens response to me was, we have freedom of speech, which only tells me she doesnt get the point and likely never will. I understand our right to freedom of speech although I would never shame someone for their ethnic food choice, especially if youve never tried and/or if you might insult someone. I hope Doris management is able to provide some cultural tolerance/etiquette training to their employees so that no one else has to experience the embarrassment I did today. I will warn people that ask me for recommendations in the future to prepare themselves to be insulted as you PAY for your groceries. We all need to be tolerant of each other because we all live on this planet together, despite our differences, we should not be shamming people based on their ethinic food choices. Would usually give 5 stars but the employees lack of cultural competence and my embarrassment looses 2 stars.

Fantastic meat department. Needed half if a pork roast cut into one inch cubes. They happily obliged.

Bought several baked goods for the office...bought some banana cream pie, key lime, a big cherry Danish type of cake....and all 3 were HORRIBLE... they sold me old and stale baked goods. They Key Lime pie was all curled like cottage cheese; the banana cream pie had rotten black pieces of banana and it was all watery and runny, and the cherry cake was stale and dry as can be... NEVER AGAIN.... they literally sold us bakery items good for the GARBAGE.... if I could do ZERO starts I would.

My neighbor highly recommended this bakery store, she said the deserts are excellent especially if l have to bring a plate to my job to impress. I went there around today 5:50pm. The lady behind the counter asked if she could help me. I asked for a specific desert she said she didnt have it. Then l asked if she had cheese cake and she walked away to answer the phone without saying a word. Another lady who was there passed by and l asked her twice if she could help me, she went on to the kitchen and totally ignored me. The same lady came out of the kitchen l asked her if she worked in that department she said no. I believe she works 2 counters down. After waiting for about 7 minutes feeling disappointed, l decided to leave. The products in the store may be good, but the customer service definitely needs a lot of improvement. I really hope the store addressees this type of behavior. Thats how good places loose loyal customers.

Ordered the Thanksgiving Ham Package from the catering department and it was so delicious! Tasted as good as when I usually make everything at home and took far less time (just have to warm up the food). Definitely will be a repeat customer! Also, Eric who took my order by phone was very pleasant.

No signs for # to take, cant just stand in line, rude person behind counter, very hard to see little machine which gives.#s. Then cant answer me when i asked if i need to go to the line again when she called me out to see if i have a ticket #, even though i was in line, and everyone else in line was waiting for the other deli not hers where sandwiches are made. Terrible customer service incredibly unfriendly staff will NEVER shop here again!

Best produce anywhere! Really good stuff and they have some good deals on different things every week. This is where you should come to get your Italian foods and ingredients as well as fresh produce, meats and cheeses. They have all of the Italian stuff that you won’t find in the big chain stores.

Love the service here - the staff, regardless of department, is always friendly and receptive, and definitely not pushy either. Speaking of departments, youll find great produce, a wide array of meats, tons of wines, and dessert to make you drool. While browsing, the gentleman in the deli department was more than happy to provide a sample of their delicious pasta salads. Prices seem very fair here for the variety of items. Best of all, parking is plentiful and the store is spacious and accessible too. This location is far from my neighborhood but worth the drive.

Impressive. Although we used to shop at all Doris markets regularly for years I havent been to one in at least a decade. Yesterday I was very happy that I stopped by. Everything was fresh, fragrant and delicious. The produce was new, unblemished and ridiculously reasonably priced. The shelves were stocked with all of our favorite products. The meat and seafood choices were overwhelming. The deli meats and cheese were fresh, perfectly sliced and tasty. I did not have time to spend in the wine aisle, but I did stop by the bakery. Unbelievably extensive selection of baked goods for any time of the day or night. Watch their weekly ads for bargains. Ill share photos next time. It seems we could not stop ourselves from just one more bite and made a mess of our bakery items. Go see for yourself. You wont regret it.

My husband and I went to the Pembroke Pines store for the first time yesterday evening. Truthfully we were big fans of Luckys Market and was looking for somewhere else to take its place. We were completely satisfied with Doris and wondered how we had stayed away for so long. Everything is fresh and very reasonably priced. I also want to speak about the two gentlemen that worked behind the prepared foods counter yesterday evening. They were both so nice and friendly! I would come back regardless but they made the experience even better.

I had questions about provolone cheese and other products sold at this store, there was old guy behind the deli counter very unprofessional no smile and very rude to me and other customers. All he was concern about talking to other worker about having a day off on Thursday. If you are having a bad day and we are do this is not supposed to interfere with work and dealing with the public. This miserable guy should retire because hes putting out negative energy. It makes everyone feel unwelcome coming to this location. They dont even know how to slice cheese provolone was slice thin and falling apart. I guess all the old timers are dead and we are left with the wanna bes who dont want to provide good service and really dont know what hell they are doing.

Today i was there at the cashier and because i didnot have the mask covering my face up to my eyes the cashier wouldnt finalize my purchase. She was too busy calling the manager, i guess to scold me for not following the rules to a t. Very MILITANT. I felt I was in communist Cuba.Needless to say I left my purchase and went my merry way to take my business someplace else.Thank God were still a free country and have choices.

The people in the meat and deli department are incredibly rude. Every time it is a problem if you ask for something, as if you are bothering them. This place has gone downhill. The attitudes are incredible and when you ask for a manger they also have an attitude which is clearly where the employees are getting it from. Save yourself the headache go elsewhere.

I work close by and decided to stop in to grab a bite. I couldnt decide if i wanted a sandwich or salad. I wound up having some sweet n sour chicken wings with pineapple pieces. Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely be back soon.

Some of the employees are obnoxious. The people in the deli department and meat department have the worst attitude, it is like pulling teeth to get service without the attitude.

While on my way to pay my Progressive Insurance bill, one of their shopping carts went rogue and smashed into my leased vehicle. The manager stated that it was not the stores fault ;( Ashame because I LOVE stone crabs! Now have to drive 7 miles to Delaware Chickens to buy them instead of less than a mile from where I reside.

In regards to honey balls, they were dry and tasted oily! I had a lot of company over and we were looking forward to having them but all you could taste were the oil

I shop here as often as I can. The bakery has gone down the drain, though. Mushy biscotti that need to go back in the oven for about 15 minutes. Bread was better years ago. And I dont needTres Leches - demographics I guess.

This was our first time going. Nice market great variety of food(ready to eat) and pastries! Those pastries were da bomb! Food was good nice variety of pastas and meats! Definitely recommend this place. Will be stopping by again on next trip to Miami area.

Doris Italian Market was excellent as usual. There were not as many people as other Fridays. Service was prompt at the counter.

So my sister just arrived there, after hours btw by 5 minutes, and she was coming from way down South Miami. She went to buy some Manhattan Special Coffee Soda as a birthday gift (no one else has it) and they were closed. But, then......some angels let her in the door!!!
