I love this place. Very hipster-ish coffee and tea bar, but you know what? Hipsters know how to make good stuff. A coffee shop filled with hipsters is going to serve delicious drinks. Yum.

Note: This review is for my experience *PRE-COVID.*I try to be environmentally conscious, esp when it comes to my tea habit as it can be awful for the planet between the plastic cups, the plastic lids, the individual plastic straws wrapped in thin pieces of plastic... Its just nonstop and makes me feel extremely guilty, so when a shop offers glassware, Im all about it. HOWEVER... Yes, there is a But and that is that I did not expect the bottles to be so expensive. Like crazy expensive. I bought three drinks and after- yes, AFTER- the 20% discount, it still cost me $35.54. I was sticker shocked. I also only bought two glass bottles; the other drink was a small plastic cup. It was one cost to purchase the bottle, another cost to fill it. Its not like the price is all inclusive with a drink.I got the Peach Mango Chia iced tea w/aloe and it was really solid. My husband pretty drank the whole thing. The Ube Upside-Down Pie was so delicious, the Ube Crinkle not so much (too dry).So even though the 32 oz glass bottles cost $10.99 each, I wouldve purchased them anyway even if I knew how much they cost for the sake of the planet but I most likely wouldnt have bought two of them. I dont know if Home Brewed offers glass bottles because they care about the planet or because they want to be able to make a buttload of money off them because at that price, it sure is not encouraging the consumer to make the green choice.Loved the atmosphere, customer service was excellent (so so so nice and polite), drinks came out pretty quickly and decor was simple, modern, photographable.Aesthetics: 4/5Service: 5/5Food: 4/5Price: 4/5Recommend: Yes

This location is super cute and accessible. Theres indoor seating facing the street which added to our experience. The barista was so nice with helping us with our decisions for coffee. I am totally satisfied with my visit to here. And I would love to recommend my friends and family to have a visit to there.

Really good espresso coffees with a clean natural wood and white atmosphere. Skip the surrounding Starbucks and get a real latte here instead. Basic and reasonably priced yet very fulfilling.

I found this place very underwhelming. I got a cappuccino and it came in a 24 oz cup! Maybe I take my coffee too seriously but any cap bigger than a 10oz isn’t a cap in my book. Coffee & milk tasted burnt and from a machine. I wanted to love this place but for coffee connoisseurs would not recommend.

Home Brewed is an adorable tiny spot to enjoy unique drinks and study. There are enough seats for a small study group but I’ve found it most enjoyable to go solo or with one friend. The decor is notable in the fact that it is fresh and matches their branding. I love their horchata drinks but only order them when I’m indulging as they are quite sweet. Their chai is decent but they have many other eclectic items on their menu. I’ve hoped to try their chaider but they have been out of cider more than once. They do also have a small selection of baked goods but nothing substantial if you are hungry. Overall, I very much enjoy visiting and the staff is generally welcoming.

I like how its not in the super busy part of old Pasadena. Not a large place, can get crowded sometimes, but still feels cozy. I recommend the hazelnut!

We enjoy eating out. Yesterday we went to this excellent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We spent a delightful time there with delicious dishes and a nice team and a great cuisine. We added this restaurant in our phone list and we shall surely go again soon. We warmly recommend.

My favorite coffee shop in Pasadena. It’s a bit small but hey it gives it that cozy feel. Amazing staff and great coffee. Only problem is parking Just make sure you bring change for the parking meters. Pasadena has a lot of meter cops on bicycles constantly checking.

Wonderful experience. Ordered the Thai tea with boba and some extra taro whip which was totally delicious. Two lovely girls working there who were warm and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Love their drinks. Grew up drinking different tea and boba everywhere but Home Brewed Bar does it differently and does it well. I asked the lady at the register what drinks she would recommend for someone who was lactose and recommended me a drink with a soy milk substitute and I must say -- it was amazing! The customer service, the drink, and the place all felt like one return away.

Came here for the first time today, such a great experience! The guy behind the register was super helpful, nice and explained everything. I got a hot vanilla latte, it was fantastic! Loved the ambiance as well as the service.

One of my favorite coffee spots in the area, this place has a really homey feel and is a great hipster spot to get some work done if youre lucky enough to grab one of their few seats.Probably my one biggest and only complaints is the lack of parking in this area. Short of getting lucky with some street parking, itll probably be pretty difficult for you to find a spot.I personally like the speculus drinks here and/or the horchata coffees

A cute place. There is no restroom for public use, though. Mostly tall tables and high stools, so it may not be comfortable for staying for a long time. Sort of tucked on a side street, so not too busy, which is a plus. I had drip coffee, but will try mixed espresso drinks or boba teas next.

I love the almond milk tea here. In fact, thats all ive had here so I cant comment on anything else they offer. Charming little specialty coffee drink place. Their gimmick is that they make everything with cold brewed coffee, giving everything a smoother, less acidic flavour. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very chill. Great stop on a hot day.

A great little place that serves some pretty tasty tea. Im not an expert by any means when it comes to tea, but the ambiance is very comfy and pleasant. The staff do a great job at making you feel like a welcome customer. Not too loud either, so you can actually talk to other people.

Cute little tea shop tucked away behind Colorado street. Parking is hard but I just parked down the street on arroyo. I got the peach mango chia tea which was not too sweet (I ordered it half sweet) which was nice and refreshing it was more earthy tasting though because its made with oolong tea. Such an adorable little coffee shop, with the sweetest staff and great drinks. Their brews are designed to be less acidic and bitter, which makes them even better. The space is small, but there are several communal tables and wifi. Ive been coming here every day while Im on this side of town. Definitely will return.

A year ago I wouodve given this place 5 stars and came here somewhat often. Then Im not not sure what happened but as if the past few months their coffee got really bad - sour and over brewed tasting. Id get sick every time. Aft first I thought it was just me, but Im someone who normally like straight espresso, definitely not someone whose stomach would be upset by a slushie mild cold brew. Seems others I know who used to be regulars noticed the same. Two stars because I cant speak for the teas

Welcome Home is what the employees greet as you walk into the place. Very cozy, warm, spacious place to hang out or to study. There is no public restrooms, free parking (meter parking only OR paid parking). Free Wifi, great drinks.

The employees always make you feel welcomed! I knew from first time I ever went there, I knew I was going to come back multiple times. Also, all of their drinks are amazing! Never a bad choice.

If you come here make sure to get a drink with no powder. Ask for the brewed teas and coffee. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere and service. I would come back just to hangout with the awesome staff!

This is a nice little tea shop that gives off a chill, retro, yet slightly modern feel to it. It has a calming ambiance, but it can change a little with the music in the background. Their drinks didnt wow me, but their drinks certainly does looks very nice. Especially the glass jar that they sell, its quite expensive, but people seem to like it since it fits the Instagram story vibe so well.Another thing that I could pick on a little is that the overall vibe seems to be missing a little something. Maybe it needs a little coffee bean roasting in the background for the smell or some light scented candles? Or perhaps another selling point to give it that extra push? It just seemed a little lacking due to the abundance of coffee or tea shops around socal. But this place would definitely deserve a 5 star if it was 20 year ago and tea shops didnt compete so heavily against each other.While there are quite a few critiques and suggestions in this review, Im still giving them a 4 star because theyve done nothing wrong. Most of it is just me being nitpicky and while I personally probably wont be returning, that doesnt mean other people would dislike this place. I do believe that other people whose not as concerned with their wallet would take a liking to this place. So I feel like that a 4 star fits this establishment very well.

The staff here is warm and friendly. the coffee and teas are excellent, my favorite is the vanilla berry tuffle tea. christina was helpful and kind. i was able to sample the tea before making a decision, and the taro whipped cream is delicious! the ambiance is lovely, and i would definitely recommend giving it a try here!

Ive been here once before and I thought it was great! Brought the GF here to try it! They only have meter parking so definitely be prepared to walk a little! As we got it the interior is pretty nice and cute. Its a vibe for Instagram and yelp to take pictures. Well as we was waiting to order there was another group a head of us and man the cashier kept talking to them even after they ordered and made us wait. When they finally got their drinks then he decided to stop talking and take our order. That was pretty rude actually knowing we wanted to order.Anyways what we had was their Thai tea. We both wanted mini boba because places really dont have mini anymore and again we were right cause they said they ran out! Boo!!!! So we decided for the taro whip cream which was pretty good! Our drinks were actually really bad, probably my least favorite Thai tea! The whip cream was sweeter than the drink. Definitely wasnt like how it was before

I love all the options in the milk choices and with the tea. It means I can still have my boba without it being a shock to my system because theres an overload of sugar! My kid prefers the regular sized boba, and I do too. Also, she loves the House Milk...And did anyone say punch card? Love the loyalty going both ways.

Came here for the first time yesterday after seeing it on Yelp. I got an Almond Vanilla Milk Tea with boba. Typically, Im not really into the whole customizing my own drink flavors, but I couldnt decide between getting the Almond Milk Tea or the Vanilla Milk Tea, so the barista suggested I could mix both. It turned out pretty good, a bit on the creamy side, but I dont mind too much. I didnt really like my friends Jade Green Tea, as it was too light and flavorless to me, but she seemed to enjoy it. Would come back if in the neighborhood.

AMAZING Coffee/study spot.The -1 Star is just because of how difficult it is to find parking(metered parking is about $1.25/hour with a 2 hour limit, or nearby parking structures are about $2/hour with a $6/day maximum), and also the lack of bathrooms :(. I understand that it is a small space, and also King Taco just happens to be right next door so there ARE bathrooms nearby to use, but its just kind of a buzz kill and totally takes you out of the zone when you are trying to get some work done or catch up with some friends.Other than that, the drinks here are great, but what makes it truly a great coffee stop(especially after my recent 1 star reviews) is the service!The two workers here were both super amazing. They have a great attitude, are super into the whole Welcome Home theme without being too in your face, and are also literally MORE than happy to help you pick a drink and explain everything to you. I just felt really comfortable coming here even though it was my fist time and Im not the hugest coffee snob and I was also just finding somewhere to get some work done and not really looking to talk/socialize too much, but the workers here had that perfect balance of charisma that just kind of cheered up my day because they were so happy and welcoming and also let me feel comfortable that I wasnt trying to have a super long conversation and just trying to get some work done.PRO TIP: If you really are struggling with parking, go north one block to Holly Ave, there is a parking structure there that is a little bit(or possibly the same price now) cheaper but mostly empty.

This place definitely has a lot pf options. Unfortunately i ordered a double taro tea and a matcha coconut tea, but were disappointing. Both teas tastes heavily watered down, especially the matcha.
