You can tell by the Owner responses to some of the reviews regarding this location that DQ doesnt give a dang. I hope it closes permanently and not sure why it is still there. Overpriced Dilly bar 6-pack-$9.99!!?? I should have left it there. Employee at the counter (man with beard) did not seem to want to be there or answer questions in a polite manner. No one else was in the store (at least customer-wise). Had to ask for a receipt and a bag. Its ice cream. Im just supposed to carry the box of ice cream bars as is? I will say though that he asked for my photo ID, which I have written on the back of my credit card, which was the right thing to do.

Wonderful soft serve and friendly staff. You can eat in or take out. The brownie sunday is the best with hot fudge too! Delicious

This is a great girl DQ! Thea strawberry shake is the best in town.

Went In on 9/25 around 6:30 and ordered 6 items, 5 blizzards and 1 hot fudge sundae. The hot fudge sundae that was made was half fudge and half ice cream, you could barely see the ice cream under all the fudge. I asked them to remake it because it looked horrible. They weighed it and said that it actually weighed more then it is supposed too( no kinding its all fudge) and they would not remake it. I had already paid and the line was now backed up to the door. I was not happy, but decided to let it go and proceeded to leave. As Im walking out the young teenage boy yells out have a nice night. I take my family out for DQ once a week. It is safe to say that it will be the last time I spend a dollar in palatines DQ on Northwest hwy. To the owner, please teach your employees to take a little pride in their job and take the extra minute to make sundaes that look edible and to have some respect.

Very dissapointed.. went to pick up ice cream for the family. 6 adults and 13 kids. I am exempt from wearing a mask, even thou if not exempt I still would not wear one... no one in the store, girl says sir u need to be wearing a mask. I said I am exempt. She ignored me. Approached the huge plastic barrier. She pulls down her mask and says I need a mask or she cannot serve me... U lost a very good customer of 50 yrs. I will go anywhere but there for the rest of my life. So sad...

Im sorry but if you thought Starbucks had a big mark up welcome to DQ of Palatine. The large cone is now the size of the medium and is $3.65 same cost of a half gallon of real ice cream at Jewel. I wasnt going to review but just so darn sick and tired of getting less for more money. Never again. The guy at the couner was nice.

My daughter dragged me to this ice cream store for the first time and I first disliked the attitude of the server, he looked at me as if I was stupid for asking for a sample. Second, the cotton candy flavor icecream with chunks of candy was just the most sugary and awful flavor that I had ever tried. A total waste of money.

I called on Monday evening and was a little frustrated with the lady I spoke on the phone with about making a sheet cake. She wasn’t able to answer my questions so well so she just hands me off to her manager and he did not sound to excited on the phone at all. They took my order and got it going to stated I needed to call back the next day and speak with Anna and she would be able to decorate it and get me taken care of. I spoke with Anna on the phone and then in person and she was 100% amazing and went above and beyond what I could ask for and did an AMAZING job. Not sure who else helped but thank you very much. Looked amazing and taste perfect. 20+ guys at an amazing local body shop much enjoyed on a hot day.

Stopped by here on 7/27 at 3:29, ordered a medium cookie dough blizzard and can honestly say it had close to just 4-5 balls of cookie dough. Dont know the exact count cause I didnt think I had to count them. I didnt pay $4.98 for a medium cookie dough blizzard just to get vanilla ice cream. Other occasions good, thats why 3 stars and not less.

Horrible customer service!!! Bad ice cream- We got their kit kat ice cream cake and it tasted like a metallic chemical taste and when we went back to tell them, they yelled us defending themselves. The manager was not even asking what was wrong with it, they outrightly yelled at us, they were horrible!!!!! Never coming back here again.

Just stopped by at this location a couple minutes ago and the employee that gave me my vanilla ice cream cone did not put enough ice cream in it. I’ve been here before and never left disappointed but I did today. Definitely not going back to this location.

Typical Diary Queen store. Wait can be long on warm summer nights. Always tasty but the quality of the Blizzards varies depending on who makes them. Some have more of the special ingredients and are better mixed than others.

I love Dairy Queen n their smoothies. I get the triple berry premium smoothie. It tastes great and is refreshing in this hot weather were having. I definitely recommend it. My only bad experience with the smoothies was that it the ice didnt get blended well and was chunky. Not a big deal in the summer time cuz it will just melt pretty quickly right? Well so I thought. It actually would clog the straw each time I tried to draw some up through the straw so it wasnt working for me. Non the less theyre so nice at Dairy Queen that they took care of it for me n delivered a fantastic smoothie. Make a stop n treat yourself. We all deserve a little treat now and again. 😁👍

Super great service, very friendly server named colin helped me out when I didn’t know what to choose. He was one of the nicest employees from dairy queen that I have ever bumped into. Last time I was there they gave me the wrong order and didn’t even ask me what was wrong with it. Good ice cream though.

The hot brownie with ice cream was amazing! If you get a blizzard (I got cookie dough), put fudge on it or it tastes like nothing-not good. Service was fine.

First time here, walked in and walked out. There was no one inside but it smelled awful. The smell was horrendous, sewage? Garbage? I dont know but it was so horrible. Couldnt even order.

Not a good DQ. Slow service and they serve up bite sized portions. Management must teach the employees to do this to pinch pennies.

My boyfriend and I went in for ice cream. We specifically asked to have no Brazilian nuts and the cashier assured us that he was using peanuts (which my boyfriend isnt allergic to). They put in Brazilian nuts and when we called they said it was our fault. We will never be going back.

Walked up with my children at 8:55pm. Line was to the back of the store and a couple just walked in ahead of us. This girl met me at the door and told me I couldnt come in because they were closed! My almost 4 year old burst into tears. I asked for her name and to speak to her manager. She said she was Olivia and her manager wasnt present. I will NEVER go back. Who turns away a customer 5 minutes before close and makes a child cry? Horrible service!!!
