Ive taken both my cars to Precision automotive for smog checks, as they do the special star checks here. The service is quick and friendly, and not as expensive as other places Ive been nearby in Camarillo. The waiting area is a bit dark and dingy though, thats my only critique; some lamps, comfy chairs and maybe music could help it be a space customers would be more comfortable hanging out in. For now though, being next door to A-Burger is a decent option too.

Took my truck for a Brake and lamp inspection and these cool guys wouldn’t do it because my truck was lowered and had hid headlights. Will never think about using them again. Take it to Steve’s Auto Service Smog and inspection place in front of the DMV in Oxnard for this service, they did it with no problems at all...

DMV sent renewal and it said we needed to go to a STAR station, so we chose Precision Automotive, our first time going there, and we found a coupon online. Everything went well, no complaints, and very satisfied with their customer service, and the price was very good. We asked about smogging our RV, they said they could do it in the morning. We came back the next morning and they smogged our motorhome, it went just as well as our PT cruiser had the day before. The price was very inexpensive for an RV. Everything went very well. We are super pleased with their customer service and prices. Will definitely return for smogs, and will even give them a try for car service when it arises. We recommend Precision Automotive.

I went in only a a smog check and it was fast and a good price . There was a coupon online and I didnt even have to ask for it he gave it to me . I was there for no more than 15 minutes.Will definitely recommend this place for your smog checks.

They reset my comp and had me drive it a bit before performing smog. Once I had brought it back for the smog, they got me in and out quickly and efficiently and I love that they give the coupon price when mentioned.

He did some work on my car and when I got it back, it didnt run right so I took it back twice and he kept telling me there was nothing wrong. I went and did an oil change myself and the intake hose was cracked and thats why it was running bad. After that I was in desperate need and replacing my transmission I called him and he wanted $4,500, I called AAA and got a AAA approved mechanic called him and they only wanted $2,500. Needed to say Ive never gone back.

Waited for an 1 1/2 for a simple break and lights inspection!!! They took care for 3 customer before getting to me! It’s just a freaking small certificate they need to fill up and signs took that long! The owner didn’t even bother to check up on me! I don’t recommend this place for a break and light inspection! Poor customer service and care!!!

My last experience wasnt great. Called over the phone to get pricing on a smog for an older vehicle. The day that I was able to take the car in, I called to verify and was told a different price which I said was different than what I was told before. The guy then switched up and said I was right. Got there and waited in the lobby in clear view of personnel. It was 10 mins before someone came over and once again they changed the price on me. I was able to get it done cheaper somewhere else. Money wasnt the issue really but lack of customer service as well as being given the run around is what I didnt like.
