I have always been pleased with Tate Boys in the past. However, Their prices have gone up significantly over the past two years. This time, having a new battery installed was a surprise. As usual service was excellent; however the battery installed cost $180(!) My bad for not asking details when told the cost up front. Still this was different from my past experiences with Tate Boys Owasso. They have always been more upfront offering options when discussing the cost estimate.

The techs were great. I told them what I thought were the issues with the car and they did a thorough examination of the brake system. I was very relieved at their diagnosis because another shop had told me the master cylinder needed replaced when in fact it did not. They also found a vacuum leak showed me the part and got that taken care of.They respected my wish to not get other things done to the car . They didnt argue or try to persuade me. This shop is terrific. Honest dependable workmanship. Highly recommend.

Excellent customer service. Squeezed me in an hour before closing. Didn’t charge me for plugging a nail hole in my tire! I’ll be back!

My tires showed low this morning so I popped in to find out I was in much need of tires. Matt was so helpful and gave me all the different options and walked me through the process. It was a great atmosphere and they were so caring and thoughtful. They made a ruff start to my day great. I will definitely be using them for all my car needs.

Went in to get my flat fixed. they told me that the tire was ruined (alignment) and I needed to buy 2 new tires. I had bought 4 new tires from them for this car in 2018. 2 more in 2020 because they said I needed them and now 2 more in 2021. I asked about their rotation and alignment inspection policy that is clearly stated on the wall. Lifetime free rotation and alignment inspection regardless where you get your tires. I asked why the alignment inspection was not catching this problem. they stated that they only do the alignment inspection if requested. I asked if it posted anywhere that it is by requested only and they said no. I wonder how many people think they are getting that inspection but are not getting it. I hate it when a company post all the great things they do but they do not post all the important details that go with it.

They always are able to get me in last minute without having an appointment. And they are always fair priced with everything Ive asked them to do. Theyre customer service is a high point as well. Thanks for good service at fair prices.

I am from an hour away and had a flat tire fifteen minutes prior to closing time. Despite calling a closer tire shop near where my flat occurred they turned me away. Not Tate Boys I told them what happened and cliché or not he said we wont leave you stranded. Not knowing the other shop had denied me. Great people and great service.

My overall experience is 3 starts because:Pros: friendly staffCons: I was there at 8:45 am on Friday for oil change. I was told it would be about 1 hr wait. There were not that many people in the store. My car was inspected for alignment with 30 min and a service guy informed it needed one. However, my oil change was not done until 11:48, when I left the store. The disappointing part for me was that in the beginning when I asked how much will be oil change and the price was $111 for synthetic oil for truck, I asked how long will be the wait. The reason is that based on that wait time I was ok to pay such a high oil change price vs Toyota dealership 2 hr wait for $60. Needless to say I was not happy and I am not coming back (this is my second time at this location with this long wait if “1 hr”). I would rather go to a dealership for 2 hrs vs 4 hrs and pay half the price.

After having a flat fixed by Roadside assistance the first place I saw to have my tire fixed was Tate Boys and I’m glad I did. Mike was very helpful and professional. I had some questions about exchanging my spare to a regular size tire. He gave me his honest opinion and explained. He wasn’t just trying to sell me something. I appreciated that. They took care of my tire and put it back on my car. I will definitely go back and tell others when they need auto repair.

Some of the most unprofessional, and inept mechanics out there. At least currently. There was a time I went there for everything I could, I was treated well and with respect. But theres a little hotshot guy (dark hair, glasses, short) there now (or perhaps hes been there a while, but this is the first Ive been serviced by him) that lies about service times, and quotes to get you into the door.I went in there today expecting a decent time to completion, after having called in prior to my visit and being told not long of a wait. I get there, and tell them exactly what has happened, and it takes two hours to even get to my vehicle, but first come first serve and I can shrug that off. Finally, I see my vehicle get taken into a bay, and its another 30 minutes, and again I think, theyre being thorough, this is okay.Only to have the same teenage looking guy, come up and tell my my A/C compressor blew up and quoted me $1,800 for an entire A/C line replacement. In the same breath, immediately tells me about their credit card, and financing, which Im sure would help IF my compressor was actually blown up. The guys that worked on the vehicle did not even turn the A/C on to see in the compressor worked. The compressor works, and its the exact seal I mentioned when I got there. If I wanted to have my intelligence insulted, I would run for Governor of Oklahoma.I wont be back, not anytime soon. Maybe if Im in dire straights. Id recommend whoever reads this does the same. It appears the guys, or at least this one guy, is overinflating the severity of the problem to push their credit cards. I overheard several phone calls, and visits and theyre pretty all the same: expensive price, immediately recommend credit card.I was quoted by another shop to replace the exact seal I thought it was for $55.

Went in for tire repair, asked for estimate on new tires, the estimate was really good and room on my credit card, I replied do it. Happy with my new tires and truck travels nicely down the road. Employess are really nice. They will have my return business.

The Owasso team did a fantastic job. Ben and Jay worked with me to correct out of round tires. Tate Boys Owasso has been my go to for tires, oil changes and break service. They have always taken care of me. The guys in the shop are friendly.

Excellent experience! First time taking my car here for service, I purchased 4 new tires today, had them installed and an alignment done in under a hour! The place was packed and they still managed to get me out and on my way in a professional manner. I will be returning!

My mom went and got her car aligned about a month and a half ago and just took her car to my brothers mechanic shop because it was pulling to the right hard and felt bumpy only to find out her tire was separating... the belt broke on the inside because it WASNT ALIGNED! If it had come apart on her I dont know would have happened so I just want to say if you are going to align a vehicle.. PLEASE DO IT RIGHT!

These guys communicate very well and always take good care of our cars! I have no problems having my wife or kids take their cars in because I trust them to share exactly what’s needed and what’s optional without pressuring them!

I wanted to give them more stars. I have been with Tate Boys Owasso since they opened their doors and have had many years of great service, however, something has changed. The guys in front are always polite and up front with you, but they are relying on the guys in the back to live up to what they tell the customers. The last few times I’ve been in for routine maintenance it has been anything but painless. If they only have to do 1 thing to your vehicle, it seems to be fine. If you request anything else be done, it seems it is just too much for the mechanic to handle. Forgetting to reset sensors, forgetting to reconnect vacuum lines, not being able to service your vehicle to fulfill all your requests within 3-4 hours of it being dropped off, not calling to let you know the vehicle won’t be fully serviced, not calling to let you know your vehicle is ready. Really disappointing. I’ve bragged about this location and sent many people there over the years, but it’s getting hard to do that anymore. I’ll continue to use them because I believe loyalty is needed these days. I’m just hoping it turns around and I don’t have to start looking elsewhere.

Friendly and helpful staff. Didn’t rush me out like other places I’ve been to and showed me the alignment readings when I asked to see them. Great about answering questions over the phone as well and everyone was always busy helping customers or working. That’s a good sign to me honestly. I was there for a long time it felt like but I went on a Friday late in the afternoon. So show up early or just drop off your car and go about your business until they call. Seriously, just wait for the call and enjoy your day. Your car is in good hands.

Tate boys Tire is a great helper with my busy schedule and they try to squeeze me in on short notice. I was there today and James was friendly and helpful, as usual and took great care of me.

They do oil changes if you bring your own supplies, understandable for a tire place

TATE BOYS offered me a fair deal on o FULL SET of tires for my old truck but there was a mix up between order taker and shop..they made it right then gave me even a BETTER deal because of the mix up.. after tires were installed on the truck they ran the truck over to the alignment rack for a quick check where they found my front end needed work..then they gave me another special deal on the repairs.IF YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS TIRES OR ANY TYPE OF SUSPENSION OR BRAKE WORK I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TATE BOYS IN OWASSO TO DO THE WORK...THEY TRULY CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS THAT WALK THROUGH THEIR DOORS

We were all for Tate Boys...until we took our truck in for AC work. After a disagreement on the final bill, which was eventually worked out, we got our truck back. AC works great. But when we left we had no brakes. Which is odd because they worked before we trusted Tate Boys with a vehicle that’s been in my fiancé’s family for 30 years. Took the truck back in and immediately was met with “we didn’t touch the breaks so it wasn’t us but we will fix it”.Fine. They were quick to try to blame another shop when this truck hasn’t been to another shop in years.As they were fixing the breaks we noticed a new dent on the cab. That definitely wasn’t there before and we got the usual “we didn’t do that” BS when there was no dent before it came into their possession.After we got home we looked under the hood and low and behold there’s a shiny brand new brake line! The truck goes down dirt roads all the time so everything original under the hood is dusty or has red clay on it.Now if they had told us something like hey were so sorry but we accidentally did something to the brake line but we replaced that, that would have been fine.But we were never told.We will never be back.

It was time for a set of new tires, and an alignment, so since this place is only about 5 minutes from my house, and Ive passed by often while out n about, I decided to give them a try. I wasnt sure what to expect, but the gentleman(...invoice lists M. Roberts as the salesperson) who helped me was friendly, and got me what I asked for; price, brand and all. The wait wasnt too bad, it was actually a bit faster that I originally anticipated. Ill definitely consider going back if I need something else for my truck.Thanks again guys.

I’ve used Tate boys in Owasso for oil changes, tire repairs, brake replacement, and most recently they replaced my serpentine belt. The service has always been excellent and affordable, and everyone is very friendly. When my power steering went out on Wednesday, I drove straight there. Within 5 minutes of arrival they had told me what needed to be fixed and how much it would cost. It was finished within 2 hours. Mike was particularly helpful and even helped entertain my two small children while we waited. I appreciate going to a mechanic where I know I will be treated with respect and get great affordable service! Thank you to all the staff at Tate Boys.

Have always been treated great at Tate Boys, but today I had a review worthy experience. Today, I had a blowout on Hwy 169... I pulled off Hwy and called Tate Boys to ask about warranty before I put my spare on. Isaac answered and went above and beyond helping me... He not only validated my warranty but voluntarily drove to where I was on side of Hwy, took my tire off, took it back to Tate Boys, put new tire on rim, brought it back and put it on my car... NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thanks Isaac and Tate Boys.

I went in for an oil change. I just purchased my truck a few days before. I asked james when i went in as to how much it would cost me. He told me 56.99 and would take 45 minutes. Ok no problem. After waiting over 1 1/2 hours they finally finished it. and it cost me over 85.00 not the 56.99 that was quoted.. The service guy parked my truck away from the front of the business. I remember thinking that was strange. But didnt think any more about it because by then i was already mad and running late.. i got home I got out of my truck and noticed a 3 scratch down the side of it. Along with another one that was smaller underneath that one. Of course i cant prove it now but i will not be back to them!*update*Encase you are wondering the only response to this is that i have NEVER been contacted by anyone. It has been over six days ago that the owner said some would be contacting me. I am not surprised what so ever! Glad i am not holding my breath while i wait.*update 2*No one from there has even tried to contact me about this. They not only cost me more than quoted it i am also out 650.00 out of my pocket for the scratch they caused. I am an over 60 grandmother. It is a shame they are thhr way they are. Do yourself a favor take your cell phone before you take your car or truck in to these people. Make a video as you walk around your car just encase they wreck yours!

I am always pleased with the quality and service at Tate Boys! I have been in several times lately to have my tire aired up for free because it was experiencing a slow leak and didn’t have time to get it fixed immediately. Today I had the time and they found a screw in it and that tire repair was free as always. I also had my oil changed and tires rotated and they called to make sure I had the option on a needed alignment. (Because they aren’t constantly trying to up-sell unnecessary services, I believe them when they tell me something needs done.) I could immediately tell the difference it made. Thank you Tate Boys!

Needed new brake rotors and pads. They gotMe in as quick as possible and let me use their car so I didn’t have to set for 2 hrs. Always dependable and quality service. They also took a screw out of my tire a few weeks ago free of charge. Got me on the road again. Good company to work with!

Taking 3 hours to do an oil change is excessive. Raising the price of a oil change 50$ is excessive.

Very efficient, had to wait longer than I would have liked, but the service was outstanding and they were very friendly.

At the end of a work day the last thing you want to deal with is a spike in the tire. Tate Boys were quick, friendly & fast! Plus i checked out the tie prices and Ill be going back when its time for new tires. Thanks!!!

I was the first person this morning for an oil change. 2 more people came in after me for oil changes and a third person came in for repairs. All three of the were done and gone before mine was done. Not sure what happened but I was disappointed. Normally things go much smoother there.

Tate Boys are always wonderful. This time I took my car in for new brakes. No problem we just figured it was time for new brakes, due to we could not remember them being done ever. James helped me out with an inspection and determined that the brakes were fine. He could have easily done the repairs I asked for but instead he was honest and told us we didnt need them.
