Its really not that great of a holistic market. I think anti Whole foods people go here make than anything.

My favorite place to shop! Great selections and almost affordable.

The store itself is very good, a lot of stuff are organic and catered to people with food allergy. They also have a pretty big supplement section and an area for health and beauty stuff. But I noticed there are barely any customers in the store... I dont know if they are competing directly with Whole Foods and the like, plus the trend of private label, I hope they can find a way to survive in the long run.

Produce is exemplary, but the produce is priced by the pound. The price of purchasing vegetables and fruit at Natural Grocers is high.

I really like this place a lot. Its a toss up between Natural Grocers and Sprouts.

Workers helped find a rare supplement...very accommodating.

When the cashier rang me up they asked if I had exact change. I said no. They said are you okay with me rounding up. I asked if they were out if coins. The cashier said yes but then when they opened the drawer it was full of quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.

The supplement section is why we come here. Its large and they always have what we need.

Had the body but always the same sent. Wanted something different like honey or ginger or frakensince and murh not always rose and I sure dont want cocoa. Who wants to smell like chocolate.. Sorry

I love this place . Staff is friendly and helpful. I feel confident I am buying the best quality organic foods available. Of course organic foods cost more but we know that and it’s cheaper than eating out in decent restaurants. I try to buy sale items to help with the higher costs and in bulk .

The store is terrific about signage and spacing re: Covid concerns, and their staff were all wearing masks and gloves, etc.The problem we ran into this morning was the presence of a young, belligerent family that ignored the signs and basic safety restrictions put in place for all of our collective health and well-being by not wearing masks (at all!). They even started to put their items on the checkout conveyor belt thing right behind us, in spite of the ample signage that instructed them not to until they were given the all clear by the cashier following a quick cleaning, etc.When I noticed they werent wearing masks or observing proper distancing guidelines, I asked the cashier about it (thinking that theyd be addressed in some manner) only to receive the response that they (the cashiers? the store?) werent allowed to confront their patrons on that matter. The petulant patrons overheard me ask about their lack of observable common courtesy or proper concern for the well being of others, including the staff, and told me that it wasnt any of my business.So, speaking of business, Im curious as to whose business it is concerning... apparently not Nat Gros (I guess?). However, I believe Johnson County passed an ordinance that is enforceable by the county and city representatives. Seems like this wrinkle needs to get ironed out before more people are put in harms way and outbreak/exposure epicenters start getting traced back to stores that are rendered toothless in regard their inability to enforce public health ordinances.

Always organic food for not much more cost than a chain grocery store.

Natural grocers had real good service and they were very helpful.

For some ethically conscientious choices in fair trade and sustainability, this store has a good variety - not just food items, but household cleaning as well. One of the organic beef jerky brands was even highly approved by my picky teen.The floor employee was patient in helping find specific items for me.Prices are also quite affordable for the products.

Natural grocers in Independence is my very favorite place to shop. I have health issues, and must eat organic foods. Since Natural Grocers has been in town, I have saved a lot of money on these foods. The cashiers are friendly and very helpful, and I have gotten to know several of them. I couldnt ask for better cashiers. The food is high quality and fresh. They run frequent sales and give cash back. This all helps, because natural foods are so expensive. The reason I shop at Natural Grocers is the atmosphere. Outside you are in the big city, but once you are inside, you are in a small town. The produce is fresh and organic. The eggs are free range and cheap! The workers remember you after your first visit. There’s a sense of community. Everyone is there to support Natural Grocers and their own bodies as well. Great place. I highly recommend a visit if you would like that kind of shopping experience.

More reasonable than whole foods. Great place if they have what youre looking for. My daughter was impressed with their selection of teas and gluten/dairy free products. Looked like they had a really nice community meeting space as well, but nothing going on when we were there. Overall a good experience and I will definitely be going back.

I love this store! I would not recommend working for them since they went corporate. Very clean and great produce! The fresh turkeys at Thangsgiving time are a must for our family! I miss the old employees. Metcalf location is the best.

I fell in love with this store 6 months ago and cant believe I havent shopped here all along! Cheap prices for organic food, great vegan finds, and my kids love the snacks they offer. Even their beauty and health products are great. I feel like its a great kept secret in the community.

Has really great prices and everything in the produce section is organic. I was surprised to find how many vitamins they had in there as well at reasonable prices. They definitely beat whole foods. They might not have quite as much selection, but I am impressed every time I go in there. It is my go to place for organic produce.

Staff is very informative about health and friendly. They seem like a good team. They have good prices and are nothing like whole foods. Whole foods has claims on their boxes that its all natural when it is not. Natural Grocers actually has read natural foods. You have to be careful everywhere you go so you dont accidentally buy foods that claim unnatural and youll find that everywhere. But whole foods is the WORST. Just saying!

The store is undergoing construction. I like the way the aisles are labeled and its easy to find what you may or may not need. The produce wasnt great. Bathroom had the toilet paper roll on the floor. Maybe it just happened the day I came by. It didnt seem dirty. The selection of vitamins, tea, milk substitutes was well organized.

I really like Natural Grocers! They arent large, but they manage to have a pretty good selection. They have great deals for people who sign up with them. I wish they would come into the city so I wouldnt have to drive so far!

I love their quality products. Easy to get in and out quickly. The Staff was very willing to help. I also buy best quality chia seeds and organically grown whole grains here . Much better prices and variety than other natural food chains on seeds, nuts, seasonings, whole grains, and cultured foods. Love their prices on free-range eggs.

Natural grocers is our go to supermarket. We are there every weekend, we drive 1 hr each way from our small city that doesnt have a wide variety of organic produce, were vegan and its worth our time to go to Natural grocers.

I honesty do not know how this place stays in business, as there is never anyone in this store.The layout of this store is insane, and it makes it impossible to find anything you are looking for.They do have some interesting items, and a decent selection. The prices are higher than Whole Foods or Sprouts.They do carry a few vitamins that I like that are hard to find elsewhere.

A very impressive bulk spice section. I got a ton of cardamom pods for 6 bucks when at other grocery stores they cost more for a lot less. And they are friendly, if not very nutritious. AWESOME

This store had a special day when they were giving away samples and had certain advertised hourly specials. They have good wholesome foods and various organic products. I was glad to discover this shop!

Natural Grocers is my favorite health food store in the KC metro area. I can buy brands I cant find anywhere else. And the prices are reasonable--just look for the sales! The staff is also approachable and ready to help.

I go here all the time. Its one of the main places I shop for food. Good organic and natural options at a lower price. The produce guy is always very nice and lets me sample the fruit before I buy it.

Natural grocers is like the kid I was in High School. People generally knew me but had no idea about anything inside me. A little off the beaten path but worth the adventure to get there. Surprisingly the prices are really competitive, even compared to Amazon. The staff is excellent, warm, cheerful, and you can feel that the team members have a passion for what they stand for. It seems like every time I check out I recieve somr kind of tip on what to get next time based on what I am purchasing. Sweet action Natural Grocers, sweet action.

I like this store but not near as well as Whole Foods. They closed the closest Whole foods to us so Ill check here and see if they have what I need. They have good prices there and I think they started carrying more since whole foods is gone. I bought some probiotics from whole foods and I needed something from here and the probiotics were cheaper here so I purchased them at Natural Grocers and took the others back to whole foods. You have to bring your own bags to put your purchases in or if you forget they have boxes.

They are a lesser knockoff of wholefoods with much fewer staff. They have 1/2 that is muscle protein, vitamins, and scam vitamin medicine mixes. While, the other 1/2 is semi-fresh produce and grocery goods.
