The cakes here are incredible! We had the carrot, the Italian wedding, the raspberry lemon, and the coconut key lime. All were really yummy!!!!

They did our smash cake and 50 cupcakes for our youngests first birthday party! They were delicious and everything looked super cute! they even made sure I had help getting everything to my car!

Absolutely beautiful. Not to mention delicious! This was for my Baby Shower back in May. This is a 3 tier Red Velvet cake - cream cheese frosting inside and all butter cream on the outside (aside from the beautiful rose, leaves, and ears.) I cant wait to order my daughters first birthday from here!

I was so excited to order my bridal shower cupcakes from this bakery! I had heard great things about them! However, their communication was horrible about where to pick up the cupcakes from. I was told to pick them up at the Overland Park location and then found out they had moved to Missouri and was not told that properly!! The payment process was difficult as I was told that I could pay for them the week of my bridal shower and then when I spoke to a different lady she told me that the payment is supposed to be taken when the order is first processed. When I received the cupcakes and took the first look at them they did not match what I was looking for. I would not recommend this bakery. The cupcakes look like they are done from Hy-Vee or Price Chopper.

Such a great bakery! I have purchased a few cakes on emergency, last minute office birthdays and havent been disappointed. I was able to walk in and select from the case multiple beautiful options. The cakes are always stupendous and made all the office coworkers happy, which isnt easy! They are my go-to bakery from here on out.

We had 3 Women and an Oven make our two-tier wedding cake and associated babycakes! They made sure to call a few days before the wedding to verify the design, flavors, and delivery location.Everything they made was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about the babycakes. They also provide a complimentary one-year anniversary cake so we didnt need to freeze our top layer. Would highly recommend them!

I had a great experience working with 3 Women and an Oven! I reached out with a design I wanted for my sons birthday. The original concept would have been outside my budget, so Christine worked with me to come up with a new way to get the same look but bring the cost down. The final product was exactly what I wanted, and my son was absolutely thrilled. Also, the chocolate cake was simply delicious!

Beautiful, delicious almond wedding cake! I got a small one for my mom for Mothers Day and she loved it. The women here are so friendly and personable, and they helped me pick the perfect flavor. My mom and I will definitely be back! Cant wait to try their German chocolate and coconut lime cupcakes.

I had more compliments on my desserts than any other part of my wedding. People loved everything, especially the chocolate cake! They made it a breeze from the start. I cannot explain how amazing they were. Everything was beautiful. The delivery was on time, friendly, and amazing. The cakes were delicious, the mini desserts were delicious, we will be getting cakes from this fantastic place for all of our events from now on. Seriously cannot go wrong using them!

This place has the worst customer service ever. First I called to talk about my order and I was advised to send a picture of the desired cake to someone through the website when the website wont allow me to do that and when the steps for ordering are calling the store - written on website. Since I was sure this person was giving me the wrong info I decided to drive down 25 min to the store to put in my order. I get to the store and there were 4 people working. All young kids. One wasnt older than 10 years old. I need a certain themed cake and we are over a week away from the party. I was told they could do something simple since they request 2 weeks in advance. Sure enough I was still happy they were taking care of me. While we were trying to figure out what kind of design we could come up with this girl gets up and tell me they WOLD NOT going to make anything for me rather than their simple design. I just walked away. I can take my business elsewhere. Hired people who care! People who will be kind to your customers! If I ever hear anyone saying theyre thinking about ordering anything from this place I will highly recommend them not to. I own a business myself and I go above and beyond for my customers, Im not going to be treated like I dont matter by a couple of 15 year olds. Im very upset!

I used them before for cakes...phenomenal! But this time I decided to try their macaroons. I placed the order and set my pickup time for 3:00-3:30pm. First problem...I received a call at 2:30 asking if I could come now because the manager had an emergency and needed to go. I explained to the staff that I am driving into town from Oklahoma and I’m unable to pickup at that time. 2nd problem...I get the macaroons and look inside and received different size macaroons. See attached. The red velvet macaroons are not red velvet but in fact they’re chocolate frosting inside. See attached photos. I’m really upset because these were for a special event for my friends.UPDATE: Brought macaroons back at the request of the owner Joylene. Out of the 18 macaroons that we ordered at a very expensive price tag for $44.19, there were 14 to have not been touched nor eaten. Joylene calls me back and starts to pick a part my issues with these macaroons, and then informs me that she put for half eaten macaroons and the other 14 in her freezer for her baker to take a look at. She informs that she refused to give me a refund So at this point-She keeps the product and the money, And offers me no solutions to this issue. I did pointed out how disgusting it was that she took the product back and put it in her freezer, Joylene quickly corrects her statement stating that they’re in the trash. So when I asked how am I supposed to get any product back if she’s not gonna give me my refund, she said she’ll pick it out of the trash for me and give it back. Three women use to be an amazing bakery, but with this woman stated to me was disgusting and rude. I’ll never do business with her again. So at this point I’m out the money and out my products. I guess I have to call the health department and my credit card company!

I love the baby cakes, especially the pink champagne. However, the whole cakes are pretty pricey and they have so much icing I had to cut it in half and scoop the cake out of the icing. I wanted to eat the pink champagne cake, not eat icing with a little bit of cake...especially since its $30 + (with tax) for a 5 inch cake. I know some people love icing, and the icing is good, but the cake is so good, dont smother it with so much icing you cant taste the cake. I felt a little ripped off that i had to carve my birthday cake apart and eat around the icing and then to see how much icing was left and realize it was probably more icing than cake....or close to it...sad when the cake is so good. The custom cakes are beautiful; but it makes me wonder how much is icing and how much is cake if the pink champagne cake had so little cake and so much icing. The baby cakes are perfect because you get cake with a bit of icing, so you get what you want...just not so much with the with whole cake. I think i will stick with the baby cakes because they are spot on.

On June 22, 2013 my daughter got married and they ordered a beautiful wedding cake from 3 Women and An Oven. What a fabulous experience we had with the entire staff - Jayne, Leigh, Joan, etc...The design layout, taste, colors, and the overall value this cake brought to my daughters wedding experience was over the top. This is a very professional, skilled and talented business. I would highly recommend 3 Women and An Oven to anyone who is celebrating, honoring and/or planning a wedding. Lets not leave out the fact that the baby cakes, wedding cake, cookies, etc...were the total experience for my family & friends. The ingredients were highly favored. So as you can tell, 3 Women and An Oven just brings tears to my eyes because of the great service, professionalism and creativity my daughter and son-in-law witnessed. They were able to deliver the cake to one location and the baby cakes/cookies to another location without the cake melting (due to the hot weather we were experiencing). They did just what they said they would do as they were truly committed to fulfilling their obligation and our contract agreement. I never doubted their capabilities due to the meeting experience we had onsite. In addition to the overall experience, their pricing were within our budget and they are just great people to do business with if you are looking for excellent results. Ordering online made life too easy! Oh darn, they were closed when I looked up their number to call to place my order. To my surprise I could order online! Yay! I love that I could take my time to browse their items, personalize it, and check it off my list. Their site is easy to use and the items look just like the finished product. Oh and it all tastes amazing!

I had the best cake EVER!!! 3 women and an oven made a vanilla 4 layer birthday cake with strawberry icing in between the layers with vanilla buttercream icing on the outside....covered in sprinkles...my daughter loved it! A rainbow on top and was the hit of the birthday party...! This was the most moist cake I had EVER tasted! The cake and the icing together was like heaven in my mouth.....(I AM NOT KIDDING THE BEST CAKE EVER) Thank you Jayne for making the day special!

Based on the Carrot Cake when we celebrated our Fathers birthday they deserve 5 stars. I am looking forward to trying the German Chocolate! Mom used to make both before her passing, for Birthdays and other occasions. If mom was alive I would lie and say hers were better, their Carrot Cake takes it to another level. If you want it moist, heavy and perfectly spiced, this is the one! Nobody could finish a second piece it was so rich.

We bought 6 cupcakes of various flavors, all were very pretty but...all but 1 of them was extremely dry. Thought it was just the density of the cake but after a couple bites it was clear they were just stale. Disappointing considering the cost.

My fiance and I purchased a wedding cake from 3 Women and an Oven. The cake was absolutely gorgeous. I almost didnt want to cut it. It was so much more than we expected. The cake was delicious, moist and everything anyone would want in a wedding cake. The decorations and flowers that they added were just beautiful.

We ordered a half sheet cake (chocolate) and 4 dozen cupcakes (chocolate, vanilla and carrot) for our September wedding from 3 Women and An Oven. Initially, we were hesitant about ordering from there because it seemed quite pricey comparatively, but were instantly won over with how enthusiastic and organised Christine was. All of the taster cakes were delicious, and on the day, everyone commented on how amazing the cupcakes tasted. The carrot cake was to die for. We had a custom design on the cake and couldnt have been more pleased with how it turned out, it looked better than wed even imagined. Were still eating the leftover cake from the freezer and it has stayed so moist and full of flavour!

I called this bakery before going by to try their cupcakes and order some for my daughters birthday party. When speaking with the owner/manager, she stated that they do not make specialty cupcakes and do not recommend the flavor of red velvet/strawberry frosting that my daughter was requesting. It was what she wanted and and likes. They stated that they would NOT make the cupcake and it is too bad as I was willing to pay up front for them. I didnt bother to even try their cupcakes, let alone go by their bakery, and will not recommend to anyone requesting specialty orders.

Good treats. Very pretty. Probably more about looks than taste. I went in the afternoon. Some things were dry or hars. The brownie was the worst. Great cookies though! Kinda high priced on the full sized cupcakes. The staff was a little short with us, I think k they would have prefers us to do carry out instead of eating there.

Went here today looking for a new cake place so I can get some cupcakes for my upcoming tea party, I bought a carrot for my husband and almond for myself. The coconut was gummy but dry, weird combination and my husband said his carrot was gritty.

If youre lactose intolerant find a different place to go.I stopped in last Friday to see if they had anything made without dairy and was told that everything was made with eggs. I changed my question to, do you have anything made without lactose? They still replied that everything was made with eggs. I am lactose intolerant and was hopeful that they may have items without lactose because I noticed they had items marked as GF for gluten free.When I asked if any of the French macaron fillings were lactose free, they replied that they were egg white based however sometimes the baker adds to the base recipe. They wanted to confirm with their baker. I left my name and phone number and was told they would call me on Saturday or Monday. I never received a call.

Amazing cakes, cupcakes, and cookies!! The pink champagne cupcakes are my absolute favorite. If you have a sweet tooth, you have to try the sugar drop cookies. Ive ordered several specialty cakes from the store and everyone loves them. I have no idea how or why someone would give this place a bad review.

I was visiting 3 women and an oven earlier today. There was a bride having a consultation and I saw that she was upset. I was ease dropping because my daughter is planning a wedding and we were wanting to use them. The Bride was saying she had emailed her wanting a 5 tier cake and they quoted her for a 3 tier cake. The consultant told the bride she needs to read her emails better and then told the bride they couldnt make her happy and did not want to do business with her. I can not imagine my daughter being treated this way.

Cookies taste like cardboard. No texture to them and very bland. Id have a better time making my own next time.

I used to work there and the baked goods were always amazing. Spot on. But I went in the other day and unfortunately, the sugar drops tasted like other food from a refrigerator. Savory food. Not sure why. And the same with the babycakes I had. Im just very disappointed because I know they were always so good before.

They did the cake for our gender reveal and it turned out absolutely gorgeous and just the way I wanted it! They were so pleasant to work with, not the mention the cake was DELICIOUS!!

I am not typically a cupcake fan, but I make an exception when it comes to the cupcakes from here. Moist and delicious, and beautifully frosted. Those three women are something special!

Great tasting cupcakes, cakes, and desserts. I had my wedding cake made by Leighana, a head decorator here, and it was amazing. People still tell me over a year later how good that cake was. It was exactly what I wanted and I was very pleased.I have also used Three Women as a way to say thanks or for gifts-- I had them deliver 2 dozen snickerdoodle cookies to my husband for Valentines Day and have also purchased baby cakes and cupcakes as gifts to friends and colleagues as a way to say thank you for something they had done. Everyone Ive given desserts too have loved them and Ive never heard any complaints.

The Pink Champagne cake was so delicious and the sparkly glitter made all the difference for a friends birthday!

My husband got my 50th birthday cake here. Although the decoration was lackluster, the cake itself was delicious. Chocolate (my fav) and peanut butter.

Clean and well kept shop. Theres something for everybody’s taste. If youre not sure on a certain flavor and since the price is moderately on the more expensive side, ask for a mini before you commit to a larger order.

Theyre process is to bake & refrigerate. All their baked goods are day old They advertise baked from scratch daily but dont inform you about their refrigerate overnight & serve step. Their cake is VERY DRY probably because of this... I asked to have my items baked and sold same day and they refused.

Tried the Christmas iced sugar cookies and macarons which were outstanding! Decorated so pretty too!

Went to get my daughter macaroons for her birthday and they had closed 15min early. Very disappointing.

Im from California and was attending a girls weekend in Kansas City. I found 3 Women and an Oven bakery through a Google search as I wished to honor a friend whose birthday would be celebrated during our getaway weekend. I worked via email with the ladies at the bakery to plan a sculpted teapot-shaped cake with a handpainted design of my friends favorite china pattern. It was to be delivered to the Oak Room of the Intercontinental Hotel where our group of 14 would be having afternoon tea.All of this was accomplished via email, attached photos and assurances the cake artists would do the best they could. I was so very pleasantly surprised and the guests of the tea party were very impressed with the final result. It was fantastic! In addition, I had ordered 2 dozen individual chocolate cupcakes in gift boxes for each guest to take back to their hotels. The bakers did a fabulous job repeating the handpainted china pattern on the cupcakes and the presentation boxes were feminine and perfect for our group. I cannot say enough about how scrumptious the cake AND the cupcakes were, and all were impressed the cake artists were able to realize my vision and deliver precisely what I wanted without me having to visit the bakery in person. I would trust them with all my cake needs should I ever have the pleasaure of visiting Kansas City again.

I LOVE 3 Women and an Oven and am a regular and loyal customer. It is my understanding that the 3 Women who started this bakery are Christian women and they do everything they do with fairness, style and grace. This is Johnson County, Kansas and this is a boutique bakery, not a cut-rate mass-produced, discount store. Dont expect to get items for a cheap price. Alternatively, the price is fair and worth every penny of what you pay. Everyone I love and those I work with are blessed with a girlfriend cake on their birthdays and unless you are a glutton or having a cake only dinner!!??, the cake easily serves 6 people (they are very rich and sweet cakes and I cant even fathom someone eating 1/2 of the cake!!). Their cookies, cupcakes (mini- and regular) as well as their specialty items are absolutely delicious. I have served them in large quantities at parties for >100 people, as well as for surprise birthday parties (sheet cakes) and for small groups. I have NEVER been disappointed and people continuously talk about them for a long time afterwards.... that cake, oh that cake. I dont know who some of the people are that have written reviews on this site, but they must have been having a bad day or just be in general disgruntled sorts of folks. (I have on a rare occasion been waited on by someone new working behind the counter.. and they may not be as knowledgeable, or a bit slow.... do give them a break, didnt you ever have a first job and a first day on the job??) And, for those of you who want a cake for a 2 or 3 year olds party, Id suggest you go to Cosco or Hen House and save 3 Women and an Oven products for fine dining, adults and those who will appreciate them, or just get the cupcakes. IF youre going to have specific expectations, do give them the benefit of knowing exactly what your expectations are!)
