I actually made this appointment with Precision Transmission for my friend John who has an old hot rod and needed a second opinion on. He went up there they took care of him right away. They just drove his car and told him what he needed to do to fix it. It turned out it was only an oil additive for his rear differential. He has a positive traction in his hit rod. They also looked at the engine and fixed a vacuum leak on it for free. His engine was running rough. They didnt charge him a thing. He is a happy camper now and will be doing any future transmission work with Precision Transmission.

Anybody can work on your car, but only a few can do the work right the first time, and Precision Transmission is one of those that get it done right.Believe me, I know! I took my truck into a local shop to have an engine installed and after thousands of dollars, it was worse than when I dropped it off. What a disaster!After a few conversations with Precision they agreed to do the impossible and put a 6.2 in my 2000 GMC Sierra. Everybody said it couldnt be done. They did it, and did it right. Quoted $800 to replace a $30 part. After a little YouTube research I received the part next day from Amazon and did it myself in a little over an hour... changed the transmission oil and filter too since I was already dirty.Their quality of work might be fine, I dont know about that, but this quote seemed predatory and trying to take advantage of peoples fear of transmissions.

This AAA rated car center I give an A+! The brakes on the car started making that screeching and grinding sound so we made an appointment at a different place (Ill leave them out) and they said nothing was wrong...the roater just had a little rust. They said it was perfectly safe to drive. One more day of driving and we felt they had to be wrong. We called Precision. They couldnt believe the other place put us back on the road!! One of the few Master Mechanics in this area. Great service, good follow up and repairs are delivered on time. Good location, right on US1 in Ormond Beach. NOT a rip off transmission shop, like so many you read about. They have done two transmission rebuilds for me and will be doing another one for me in the near future, as my old truck nears the 300,000 mark on this transmission rebuild. My truck is approaching the 600,000 mile landmark, and Im starting to feel some shifting issues, so I will be bringing it back in for another rebuild and then get another 300,000 out of that.

Had my RAV4 towed there with transmission shifting issues. Was told it needed to be rebuilt or replaced new I agreed to rebuilt. After a week Jennifer informs me after they rebuilt it there was still an issue with the transmission control module. They needed to order one from New Jersey. After another week the module came in but was defective as they were having the same problem. Now they are sending the module to Miami to be rebuilt. That module also does not work. At this point they have had my vehicle for a month, and Jennifer informs me they cannot figure out the issue and I need to take my car elsewhere they contacted Daytona Toyota and we can bring it there. They did not charge me anything which I thought was a nice gesture. Until I had my car towed to Toyota and they looked at the car and tell me that it’s not the module but the a internal transmission problem, They one that was supposedly rebuilt. And to boot the wrong transmission fluid was put in!!! I don’t know how they can call themselves a transmission shop!! Stay away at all costs!

Its hard to find someplace to get your car repaired that you can trust. I have found at place! From the beginning, getting my van diagnosis the team here have been wonderful. Jennifer and Keary took the time to sit with me and explain everything! Dropped the van off on a Monday and had it back on Wednesday. Even when I called to check on the progress Jennifer was great, and her estimate of finish time was spot on!The van will need other mechanical repairs and Im taking it to Precision Transmission.So this year the van has needed a few repairs and the crew at Precision Transmission have handled them all! From brakes, which there was a problem afterward that was handled quickly when we found it, to just recently a thermostat and a radiator, the van was handled professionally and fixed quickly. Drop the van off in the morning and got it back before the end of the day. Will recommend Precision Transmission to anyone who needs repairs.

My transmission failed on my way from Orlando to Jacksonville in Ormond Beach. AAA recommended Precision Transmission. Jennifer and her team were absolutely wonderful. Though I did not get my car serviced at Precision they were so helpful in keeping me updated with the status of the diagnostic of my car and providing me with the options available for service. Steve ESeveral years ago, Precision Transmission rebuilt my truck transmission on my 2002 Nissan Frontier. Mileage at that time was 299,000. I recently started having noises come from the transmission area, and when I put the truck in Drive, a loud clunking was heard. I brought my truck back to Precision transmission to have them assess the issue. Mileage now stood at 540,000. Instead of the transmission being the issue, It turned out to be the front U-Joint.Precision fixed the front U-Joint, charged me a very reasonable fee, and checked the transmission, too. Turns out that I might get another 100,000 out of their rebuilt transmission! Any other shop, (and I have dealt with a few over the years,) would have told me I needed a new transmission rebuild. The folks at Precision are honest, hard working, and accurate.I own a business and integrity in business is vital to your reputation. These guys are the best! I recently purchased a used car and sad to say that it started having problems within a couple months. I brought it to Precision Transmission on a recommendation from a busy shop closer to home. Im so lucky they were too busy for me! Not only was Precision Transmission completely honest about what was wrong. They showed me exactly how they came to that conclusion and walked me through the process of fixing it. Next they let me know honestly what else was wrong and how much it would cost. When Jennifer saw the worried look on my face, she asked her husband to put the list in order of importance. When I went to pick up my car, he explained what each problem was and how soon it needed to be addressed. They even let me know that one of the issues, wasnt really an issue and might not ever become a problem. I also shopped around at prices before I brought it to them, and their prices are comparable if not better than many of the other places in the area. I know when I take it to them, what they quote is what Ill pay. Never have they tacked on unseen expenses or additional labor. Spent just under $3000 on a transmission rebuild in the Spring of 2018 that ended up stranding me on three separate occasions. They never repaired it correctly. After being stranded in Virginia in May I had to trade in my vehicle and purchase a new one. Precision offered no refund because they wanted to see the transmission which obviously wasn’t going to be possible. Sorry, you had your opportunity to fix it correctly. You have inconvenienced this customer for the last time. I recommend finding another shop.I will reply to your lengthy self-indulgent rebuttal to my review by reminding you that your shop recommended the rebuild because the vehicle in question had 126k miles on it. I will add that it was serviced regularly with a new timing belt at 120k. Hardly the piece of junk you make it out to be as I made many trips back and forth from New Hampshire where roads are salted in the winter.While stranded in VIrginia the vehicle would only operate in reverse. How is that not transmission failure? The VA State Police were certainly of the opinion that it was.Are you also claiming that it wasn’t the transmission when your questionable work stranded me at the airport for six hours until 2am just days after picking the vehicle up after the rebuild? Speaking to your shop in May would have resulted in the same outcome except I would have been 1350 miles away.As a disabled Marine Veteran I hope you treat your customers better than you did me. My new truck will never see the inside of your shop.

The Team at Precision did exactly what they said they were going to do! They gave me a best and worst case scenario for my 2006 Range Rover transmission rebuild. It ended up being the worst case, however, the price was exactly what they told me it would be. Jennifer and Keary go beyond the call to service. 3 days after the clutch replacement, my vehicle wouldnt start they dispatched a tow truck to bring it back to them, the very next morning they found a wire to the starter on my 07 vehicle that was disconnected. Well, unsure if it happened during the clutch replacement or not, because I was able to drive it away, they repaired the problem and delivered the vehicle to me at my business. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The staff at Precision Auto are wonderful. They were honest and explained what needed to be done and why it was needed. They went above and beyond to keep us informed and give friendly, quality service. We were very pleased with the service all around. UPDATE: Our rebuild from them lasted 2 years and 27,000 miles and it is a minivan so not like we beat it. Tried to take it back to them since it is 3,000 miles out of warranty tried to see if theyd work with us and they said it wasnt the transmission but a misfire and just needed a tune up. Did everything they told us to do but after it still had the exact same symptoms. Got a 2nd opinion from a shop that actually hooked up a computer to it while driving it and showed it was skipping 2nd gear completely. So now we have to rebuild it again!

I have a 97 Chevrolet Z71 and I brought my transmission to a local shop in New Smyrna Beach, the shop told me it was a certain part so I decided to get a second opinion. After speaking with Keary and Jennifer I was informed that the part the other shop mentioned did not even apply to the model year transmission that I have. I picked my trans up from the other shop and brought it to Precision Transmission where I was quoted a price. After Keary got it pulled apart he realized how much of a mess it was, rebuilt it, didnt call me one time and say well this or that is bad so its going to be more money. I received a call 2 days later saying it was completed and the bill matched the estimate that they gave me, not a penny more. I must say Keary and Jennifer are very professional, know their business and if you hangout for a few mins you will defiantly share some laughs! My son recently hit something and tore up the bottom of his transmission on his 1999 ford Taurus. This is by far the most honest and knowledgeable auto repair business I have been to. I originally took my 2015 Ford Escape 110,000 miles, to Ford after what felt like a shudder during acceleration. They claimed I had a bad torque converter that would need replacement. I then brought the vehicle to Precission for a second opinion. After only driving the vehicle, they found that I had engine misfire due to a failing head in the cylinder. What’s worse, is that they showed me that this is a known issue on the ecoboost engine that I have. It’s on the Ford website! Palm Coast Ford was ready to take me to the cleaners for an issue that is known. Also, Ford wanted 3K for the new converter. Precisioni quoted me 1,200 if that would have been the issue. I highly recommend Precission. Jennifer and her husband are top notch.

First I wanted to say thank you to Precision Transmission Center. I have brought my car ML350 to 2 different places for repair. One place told me 1900.00 for a used transfer case, 3k for rebuild, AAMCO transmission in Apopka told me they cant find the parts from their dealer and they have to buy it from Mercedes so total cost will be 6900.00. 6900 for a transfer case are you crazy? My car is only worth 7k or less. I also called more places but just felt there dishonest mechanics! Precision fix my issue that i needed for 1550.00 nothing more to say but Honesty gets you a long way!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Guys
