Wish I could give this place a 0 star.Never buy roast duck from this place again! I was charged for half a roast duck, then later discovered it was only about a third of the duck. Happened to like wing and drumlet etc... None in the box in addition to other missing pieces. Called up and ask nicely, got an ear full from the owner as though it was my fault because I didnt check?!? What a joke! So not worth it. Trust me, DO NOT buy roast duck here, quality average, quantity much less than what you paid for. Basically it is a bad business model; Dishonesty. There are plenty of places for better roast duck and good service close by. Any place would have been better than this place!
Love this market. Always fresh fruits and vegetables. Fish, meat and poultry are in assortment. Very friendly staff. Plus very cheap. Would definitely recommend!!
This Asian supermarket is big and clean. They sell everything from dairy products to meat and seafood. If you love coffee, they sell all kinds.
Great variety of produce and meats & seafood. Pretty much everything for Asian or Latino cooking.
Good food and serviceAffordable prices. Easy to find location.
Great prices on certain meat cuts and seafood you cant find elsewhere, plus a huge variety of Asian cuisine to try from such as noodles and vegetables
Fresh produce, fish, everything you need is here to be found, people very helpful, highly recommend.
The produce area, there are lots of molded fruits especially where the stems are. Some of their packaged fruits also have mold too. This is the first store I have ever experienced that has mold and is still up and running. An inspection should be done. I highly recommend it.One other issue is I bought a steam cooker. Two identical steamer but one cost $29, however, the other is $34. I asked the employee there what is the difference. She said that she don’t know the difference. She wanted us to pay for the one we want and move out the way so she can help the next customer. She will not find out why either.
Asian fresh produce, meat, and seafood products, Supermarket, many cashiers available, friendly customer service
I ALWAYS have a great experience when I shop here!! I get all my hard to find ingredients, snacks, and home goods here! I have been shopping here over the past 6 years and the staff is always very friendly! The cashiers are all so sweet. The HUGE selection of fresh foods, and friendly service has me coming back even though I live an hour away. My fiancé is used to markets like this and he says it feels like hes home when ever we shop here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Amazing shopping. Great selection of fresh fish. Meat .and oriental food. Highly recommended. Must go if you live oriental cuisine. Also they have great Peking Duck, roast pork which I bought. Very cheap. Also there are other hot meals too. Fried rice salted chicken stir fried vegetables etc etc. 10/10
Always get chinese stuffs from here. Love it!
While they may not be the cleanest or most modern grocery store, they compete where it counts: selection. Most if not all the things I enjoyed in China are within the market as the actual or copycat product. They mix up the selection and brands so it is always exciting visiting.
The products at this supermarket are of quality and their selection is exemplary. It is very large and always fully stocked with products decently priced. Best place to shop.
I absolutely love being able to go in here and find all of the different varieties of foods or herbs, spices & meats a very interesting place to shop. Check it out!
The cleanliness of this market was okay. It has a weird smell that you can immediately smell as you step in the market, but it’s understandable because they do carry live fish inside the market. The smell is just like how open markets in Asia smell like. However, they carry a lot of products that I can’t find anywhere else in Tampa or Gainesville with a very good price.
This is an amazing Asian Market. Everything from produce to fish, specialty noodles, cakes and beverages. Since the name change, I see many improvements. The store is better organized and not as crowded. I see the walls are being painted. All very good. The fish market id definitely cleaner but still smells fishy. The refrigerated shelves need to be cleaned. All told, an amazing market. I will still stay a loyal customer. No one else has this selection.
Cool place to check out. Smells a bit fishy, but thats just because of their large selection of fish. Despite that, I do like coming here and finding little things I cannot get at the grocery. Lots of ramen options.
Best place for affordable Asian food, cooking materials, and snacks. I love coming here to get everything that I cant at most any typical grocery store.
Awesome Asian store! Had the Mogu drinks I was looking for, as well as a large variety of other awesome Asian products in stock as well! Cashier was also very friendly!
Great prices and friendly staff! The location is beautiful. Highly recommended!!
Super nice people and a great selection of everything. Very clean. Have been going here for years and will always go back
I am very surprised on how much 5 stars reviews this Asian store received and personally, I think it’s fake. I must say that this store has improved a lot in clean appearance and more space to walk. Even the produce had gotten better from several years ago. Basically overall, I see there are improvements but I honestly think they forced themselves to do so to compete with all the other new Asian stores opening up within this past several years. One thing that still haven’t improved much is customer service. It’s horrible. My family and friends stopped going there for years now. The only time we do shop there is for their roast pig and roast ducks. They do have better hot food then other Asian market. If another Asian market serves the same “decent” (comparison with California taste bud), hot food, I would stop going to this store all together!!My recommendation for this store and any other stores that this company try’s to open/reopen (under “new management “) I would first train all your associates to provide better customer service. I understand not all customers are easy but staying professional is the key for success and return customers. Providing the extra help to customers that feel lost and not sure where things are placed. I can list a bunch of complaints but which managers will take actions (not to brag but I can run a much smoother and better operation then their current management can and assure it will bring some of the old clients back and even create new ones)??? Anyhow, with this being said, I do recognize that this supermarket is attempting to make some changes for the better of business sense. This is where I give my two stars instead of zero.
Great place to quickly get vegetables, stuff for your pantry or items for lunch/dinner. Highly recommend.
Great selection of Asian foods and better pricing than many other Asian super market.
Pretty great Asian supermarket, mostly Chinese products . Fish & meat can be hit or miss, but the vegetables are usually great, especially the Chinese leafy greens.
What happened to this place? I was here a year and half ago and the staff was helpful. My relatives were in town and we stopped by to purchase fresh meat, seafood, greens, and a few other things. The staff at the seafood section must think the customers are ghosts. My mother asked several times for assistance and the men purposely pretended not to hear or even look at her. There was a gentlemen next to her who needed help and he was ignored as well! The meat and greens were not fresh. The pre-packaged greens were wilted and slimy. We left empty handed and went somewhere else.
The only market with freshly made roast duck and pork! But under new management, so the BBQ area is under one management and the market is under another. Which means they are two separate entities now so youll have to pay for BBQ separately from the market side!
I like the store, you can find a lot of stuff .Nice employees who will help you find the right products for your recipe.
Great value. Have everything u need to make a great meal.
I was at the 89cent home store. It was awesome. Great deals. I will go back again.
Professional service, Good prices. Im recommend
Awesome, a lot of variety. Fresh meat and produce, many many shelves full of everything you can think of. Will be going back soon
If you can get past the smell, then you can shop this huge store. Almost all your Asian needs can be found in this location.Would have given them a 4 but the associate did not seem to want to help me.
Such a large selection of product but I dont know that I would buy any of the fresh produce. It was all kept in cases that looked like they hadnt been cleaned in a long time. The whole right side of the store had paper towels all over the floor and all the frozen goods were partially thawed - possibly a power outage or something?
It is no different from the old name First Oriental Market, the way they set up their merchandise same as the old ones the employees do not know the customer service.Pangs BBq is lousy the quality of the food is very poor, and the price is skyrocket high, the roast pork was not crispy,I can make the roast pork better at home.I hope that they will improve their quality,if not bye bye.Remember, the customers are smart,do not try to fool the consumers.
Great Asian supermarket to meet all your condiment, vegetables, fruits and snack needs. They also have a bubble tea vendor along with a Asian bbq section. My favorite bbq item to get is the Peking Duck and the soy chicken. They have lunch specials but they run out pretty quickly no matter how many portions they cook. I love their snacks, veggies and fish selection. The supermarket is under new management and the store looks cleaner and well stocked. I love their fresh fish section and sometimes they import hard to find international fish at a reasonable price. My only regret is they don’t have all the fish labeled so it’s hard to know what the names of some fishes are.
A great asian/specialty market with good and fair prices!
This is probably the largest most well- stocked Asian market in Orlando. Theres always something new and different to see and try.
Huge selection of Asian goods at a fair price. Where you can buy some food meals.
Probably the best Asian grocery store in Orlando. Large international selection with large variety of everything.
Vast selection of products, fresh produce, and lots of items! definitely one of the biggest markets in the city. only negative was the smell! it’s very strong and offputting.
Great asian market! We drive about 40 minutes to come here about every month. Authentic, organized, and a vast variety of stock. If you only speak English make sure you know exactly what you are getting, much of the packing does not contain English. They are always very busy and shelves stay stocked. Produce is bright and fresh.
What a great place. Lots of Asian food selections. Tons of instant noodles, fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, everything is fresh. The prices are amazing. The staff was very helpful.
This market is sometimes having better prices than Golden Sparkling. Best greens are still at the big Korean market. BBQ at Enson is great especially the duck and whole pig
The ONLY worthy items buying there are the varieties of tea, the sake, the Peking duck and the poke chocolate sticks, my husband and I bought almost $600 in groceries and I was very upset because all the pastries were with a some kind of a chemical taste 🤮 and so were the different sauces, the produce was already bad the next day and the shrimp..the worst taste ever.
The people at the seafood section are so rude. . It takes ages for you to get some ice for your seafood. They are ignore on purpose. . Why don’t just learn from lotte Korean supermarket to put some ices there and help yourself. Not come again for the seafood again .
Although there are newer oriental supermarkets opening up around here.. I still ended up coming here right after leaving the other places today. Every store has its perks, this one.. like a few others is great because it has some prepackaged items. I bought one today which is specifically for a soup I was making. Some stores sell it in large quantities, and you only need a small amount, so the package is perfect. I had to come here, leaving another store because they didn’t even carry some of the herbs and ingredients I was looking for..
Love going there and get my hair done!!!
Great food selections but dirty
You can buy all people wonderful nice plece
Really good Asian market. Everything from locally rare ingredients to housewares. Definitely laid out for substance not style. Worth the 1 hour drive for me.
Awesome I found the made in rice cooker I wanted!!!
Great market with a variety of hard-to-find fruits and vegetables. Nice fish selection too.
One stop shop for everything related to the asian cuisine. Seafood section was great with good selection. They even help clean and cut the fish at no extra cost!
They have better selections since owner changed. But they need to remodel the place
Good asian grocery with cooked meats and bakery sections
Its Chinese supermarket I bought some fresh fish 🐟
Great prices compared to other nearby
I go to the 99 cent store in Chinatown. Bought a teapot there that the Asians use cause tea drinkers they are.
I would prefer everybody come over here the hibachi is so amazing
Largest Asian supermarket, fresh sea food, meat, ...
Low prices, enormous selection, quick and quality service.
My Chinese wife does 95% of the cooking. And Publix / Walmart do not stock many of the item they do here. But why are name brand soy sauce n eggs so much more expensive here? Just two items off the top of my head. Then again,,,Happy wife Happy life
HUGE STORE! Lots of Chinese products. They also have a deli station that has Chinese BBQ like roast pork, duck, chicken, etc... the stuff you usually see hanging in windows. The prices are ok. Compared to the other Chinatowns and Asian specialty markets in my home neighborhood, this 1 was larger and a step up... in quantity/variety only. Quality is ok.
One of the places I always go to. Best place to find longan. The seafood is good. Also one of best places to buy blue crabs.
An oriental grocery store with a chinese herb counter, a good bbq stand and pastry counter. It serves delicious and economical take away lunch sets; best to get there around 11am during weekdays. The pastries, for the price, our favourites are the bbq pork buns and sesame balls with fillings.
Asian supermarket with many varieties and selections of foods from Asia. Inside the store has a separate stores selling bake goods, ready made disks for takeout, roasted ducks,..etc.
It is in process of remodelBut found all products I was looking for
This is a large Asian grocery store. Its not dirty but its really clean either. The aisles are hit or miss as far as organization. With that said, if you cant find what youre looking for here, it probably doesnt exist because they have tons of products.
Dont be afraid of the rough looking exterior, well the interior isnt all that much better either, the real reason you go grocery shopping is for the food. Here you will find some of the best variety of Asian products around, including online, at very reasonable prices. Is just a shame this store cant get remodeled.
The food quality is amazing!
Anything and everything you need if youre into oriental cooking. Clean store and very stocked. Prices are fair considering what you are buying.
Great selection and separate hot food area as well.
In terms of inventory and size, Enson Market (formerly 1st Oriental Supermarket) is the largest market of its kind in Central Florida. Located in Orlandos Chinatown within a strip mall that has seen better days, the supermarket is a definitive source for seasonal Asian fruits and vegetables, spices, kitchenware, and an exhaustive list of sundries. The supermarket also includes a full-service seafood department that features live specimens that are cleaned and processed to order, and a bakery that offers various steamed buns, sliced white bread, baked goods and custom-order cake services. In a corner adjacent to the bakery is a small deli that features fresh roast duck on display and a limited selection of hot dishes served a la carte. At the supermarkets front is an apothecary selling ingredients used in traditional Chinese medicine. Customer service, while generally friendly and hospitable, can occasionally be brusque and indifferent.
Dont have any customer service with the employees that I encountered. Another employee would go up to help this lady at the medicine counter just because shes speaking to her in Chinese when I was the one that was there before her. Just because I dont look like Chinese doesnt mean you have to go help someone else who prejudge them. Even a manager wouldnt even stop to help or ask someone else to come help when she just continue trying to order from the contractor.
Excellent durian yogurtNever had itSoooo creamy made with vietnamese yogurt
Love products. No place este has.
Nice to find same products I used to cook long ago while in college in the far east.
Not sure the reasons of the decrease in selection and up in price, may be due to covid-19 or just an opportunity to increase the price, watermelon is $5.99 and same size watermelon is $3.99 in Target 🎯
I have been living in Florida for 18 years . And I love this place .
I have gone to this store once nearly every week since Ive moved to Florida nine years ago. Aside from routinely not having stock of the (many through the years) items I need after a week or two, the customer service is horrendous. I went to return an appliance today because it was not meeting my expectations at home. The lady who was at customer service (I believe shes an owner or related to the owner) asked what the issue was, I told her, and she offered me a credit. After going through the store and picking up my normal items, I went back to customer service to utilize the credit.Thats when I met the catalyst for this review. I believe hes also an owner, or at least the store manager. He was very adamant that the appliance (It was a water heater) that I brought back was working fine, and kept shoving a thermometer in my face, showing me the temperature while the water was boiling. I told him thats fine and good, but at my house, the water was not KEEPING the temperature, which is the reason I got it. He kept repeating the number on the thermometer and implying I was lying. I told him regardless, it wasnt meeting expectations, and I wanted to return it. Seeing as how the original purchase was 3 or 4 days ago, and according to him, the product was fine, this shouldnt have been an issue. Finally he snapped at me about getting the credit minus a 20% restocking fee. I told him if thats the policy, thats fine, but that he should let his staff know. I told him this because when I originally purchased the heater, I asked if there would be a problem if I needed to return it,and the cashier told me no. He then shoved the receipt in my face and said it mentions the restock fee on there.I repeated that it was fine, I didnt care, I just wanted to get my stuff and leave. Then, while the customer service cashier was ringing me up, he brought the thermometer AGAIN. I finally snapped back that I didnt care and that its over, I didnt want the water heater.Again, Ive been coming here almost every week for nine years. I have NEVER returned an item here before, and am shocked how rude this man was. There is a large Korean Market that opened up recently about 10 minutes away, and I think Ill start shopping there. First Oriental isnt the only oriental market in town.Edit: Upon reflection, I gave this store one more star. This is due to how good the meat/fish/cooked meat stations are and how well the employees at those stations treat the customers.
Their produce is offered at a reasonable price and the selection of Asian goods from different countries is amazing.
This place sits in the heart of Chinatown in Orlando. It is truly a supermarket as you will see when you walk in how big it is. It holds a bakery, large selection of fruits and veggies along with their frozen section. I was taken aback when I first went into this store because I never realized this store was here but I am glad that I stumbled on it because if I ever need to make a one stop shop, this place will definitely be on that list. It is located next to other stores on the strip and restaurants so you could literally make it a longer stay since there are plenty to do. I would definitely and plan to come back!
I recently came here to the Peking Duck/Roast Pork station and the worker there was so rude. I asked for 2lbs of roast pork, chopped finely. The product I got back was so haphazardly cut up that I fail to think that it was even cut at all! If your worker doesnt know how to chop meat properly, at least let me know and I wouldnt have asked for it to be cut at all! I have attached a picture of one of the boxes of pork I received. Ive been to multiple Chinese BBQ places all through out Florida, in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and even to the Golden Sparkling Chinese Mart a few blocks down the street. Never have I encountered such a atrocious business with such rude workers. I ask the management to keep track of the quality of the products they present and to put more effort into training their workers. This is clearly not how you run a business.油鳮彭,做到咁咪做啦。吊你。
Theres a lot of Chinese food but the smell is bad and it looks old.
Lovely selection of asian produce and ingredients. Great prices and very clean!
The guy sell Bbq so rude.
Such a huge selection of everything!!! I never leave disappointed.
Like going to 89 cent store because you can find so much stuff in there and use the most of the time it lasts pretty good Ive been shopping there ever since it was real big they cut it down now because its a real estate office next to it but they still have a lot of stuff in there I like I like going in there I dont go in there as often cuz my money is a little funny or because of this covid but I like going in there
Been going here for about 5 years and its a perfect oriental market
I finally found an Asian market that has the aloe water that I love to drink. This place is huge and is pretty sure to have everything you would want or need in one place.
Ive this place but wish it was closer. Great for finding specialty products, butcher has a large selection of products, also has a built in fish market. Great place to get head on shrimp and langostines, some sushi products and some harder to find meat like seasonal alligator meat. If I ever find myself that far south I always make a point to stop in.
Great place to shop for Asian cooking. Very helpful crew.
Large selection of Asian foods and spices you cant find at your local American grocery store.
