If you love Asian food you need to stop!.. nice people… nice prices!
I love Dong As! I believe it is the first Asian grocery store in Orlando, family run and they they all carry a little bit of everything! I enjoy meandering down all of the aisles seeing whats new while picking up my favorite coffee and cooking sauces! All sort of Asian beer as well. Great place to explore and find something new to try! Love Dong As!
Was at this store to buy some ramen noodles and other Japanese products and found all i wanted well almost.Store looks more like a thrift store than a grocery store. Most shelfs are so mixed that you have no clue what you are looking at. Also they have the same product in different shelfs and different parts of the store just to make it look that its well stocked.BUT they do have a wide variety of products but it will take you a while to find. Ready to eat food was really good.
Probably would give zero stars if i could. Small but thats not what turned me off. A lot of their frozen and pantry (sauces) items were expired! Those things have long expiration dates. Plus they were still selling. Definitely would not go back
Called looking for Cacao fruit and was informed that they do not have it. The lady who answered the phone RUDELY hung up on me... TWICE.
Great selection of Asian essentials and other food. Very clean. If you are traveling and need some Asian groceries go here.
Just awesome! There is a huge selection of my favourite Asian VEGAN products! Their frozen section is awesome. Lots of choices of vegan meats, tofu, vegan snacks, and Asian produce. Many of the products are from Taiwan but Im sure you could get the majority of your Asian needs here :) Staff is so friendly and helpful too!
Decent selection. Love the plants around the area! Great tea selection!
This is my favorite Asian store. I had a great time looking through many items on the shelves.
The Super Friendly lady (owner?) up front is always super helpful and did I mention helpful and friendly? So is her husband. If you ask where something is they will go and hunt it down quickly for you, sometimes even when theres a line at the checkout. Ive been back here at least 5 times since I discovered the place, and while you could go to an Asian market thats bigger or closer to colonial, youre only gonna get that old school mom n pop feel here. The dishes you see in my pics were all made with ingredients from Dong-A.
Love this place, been coming here for many years. Dong-A is not as big as some Asian markets but they have a great array of fresh and canned/dried stuff. And they are very helpful when you are shopping.
Great selection of products. Helpful staff. Good prices.
I wish I could give a negative 20 but since I have to give a star to provide feedback. This is WORST GROCERY STORE AND VERY RUDE STAFF!! I do not recommend this grocery store if you need or want anything!!
I was thrilled to see the wide variety in products this store offers. I was like a kid in a candy store. The staff was very friendly to me and my partner and even offered us a free drink as a thank you for supporting their business! One of the employees was very helpful in telling us the best time of year to find a certain cake I’ve been dying to try. My partner was thrilled to get some pork Siopao and I had some yummy sesame red bean balls. Will definitely be visiting again!
Always an interesting experience! Its nice to find some much needed items not found in Publix, Walmart or Winn Dixie.
Ive been going to that store for several years now. The staff has always been very polite and helpful. It has mostly everything you need for various types of cuisine.
Have been coming here a while. Amazing selection of food, drink and treats. Polite staff willing to help.
Always find what i need and the owners are very friendly i know them for 22 years
This place has so many cool things! The best boba selection, soooo many candies and lots of good produce! We bought a bit of stuff and they were so friendly! We will definitely be back.
The best asian store
Such a great shop, and was enthralled by all the options! Spent a good amount of time just aimlessly wandering the isles looking at all the items I had no idea even existed. And the shop owners are extremely nice and helpful and knew what I needed to make my thai green curry. This is a shop that specializes in Korean and Japanese food items but you can definitely find other Asian regions too. I am for sure gonna be coming back!
It is packed with all sort of Asian goodies. I get my greens, and seasonings here, cant resist the bao buns or freshly made sandwiches either.
I bought long bamboo chopsticks from here for $2.50 but I was charged $25.00 for it. I went back in to fix it and was refunded $22.50 for the difference (meaning I paid for the chopsticks), but the cashier still took the bamboo chopsticks back. They really shouldn’t rush transactions to prevent mistakes like this. I really like their selections in this store but checking out shouldn’t be this complicated.
Pack and cramps. But most of everything we want its here!
Great selection of Asian foods but hard to find things as very disorganized and ton of products!
I love this spot for finding all my Asian cooking ingredients. Its small but has all the things you cant find elsewhere for Thai, Vietnamese, or Malaysian recipes.
Five stars for great customer service and abundance of products! We headed to Dong A because I needed dark mushroom soy sauce by Pearl River Bridge and this place had that & soooo much more.Dong A is a huge market on Mills Ave., across from Chi-kin, down the street from Royal Tea & further down, Pig Floyds, I am telling you, you can make a day of this outing!!Dong A has its own small parking spaces. As we entered, we were taken aback by how big it is and how filled to the brim it is. Directly in front is the register, yes, one, that is all I saw. To the immediate right, a section of all the ramen, pancit, brands you can think of. Further right, refrigerated/freezer section with so many frozen dumplings, gyoza, noodles, seafood. To the left, rice, lots of rice, bulk if you want. A fridge with drinks, also. We asked where to find mushroom soy sauce, she said, middle aisle 7, on the left, in the bottom and there it was, she knew her stuff. Then we needed pure cane sugar vinegar, we went over to ask and she walked back with us and directed us, great service. We wandered the aisles of so many sauce, vinegars, spices, mushrooms, pots, woks, bowls, plates, skimmers. The produce aisle is not that big but it was full. There is a small area for prepared foods that did not look to inviting but it is nice to know they have it. Prices are great.
I found all my food items and ingredients needed. I also got help to find some items, the place is well stocked. They also have beautiful orchids for sale.
They always have the best bao and an excellent selection of fresh Asian produce.
Love this place. They have some foods from Hawaii. We drive 2 hours just to stock up.
Great staff, so friendly!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices. We support local businesses like this.
They have so many things to choose from! Its exciting going in there and looking at everything. Allow yourself sufficient time to browse. I promise youll find something you want to try.
They have an amazing selection.. I really enjoy the fresh produce.. people in the store are always nice! 😊
So much Asian foodstuff here! Everytbing you can imaging and great selection. Someone said hello to me when I came in and answered a question I had before I checked out. I loved it! I will definitely be back!
I love this store. Id go more often if it was closer. The people are so friendly and helpful.
I love this place They pack a lot into this little store. My favorite parts are the summer rolls they have in the quick service case, the fresh tropical fruit they carry seasonally (like sugar apples), and the helpful staff.
They have it all and more. If you need products from Asia this is the place to go. And yes they know where everything is. Go there and youll understand what I mean
Best place to buy all kinds of food from china to indonesia, korean, etc.
Fair pricing for very authentic merchandise. Love snacks that have less preservatives.
Hands down our favorite Asian marketplace in Orlando. Their prices are the best and their service is always so kind. If we lived closer, Id visit twice as often as I already do.
A bit cramped but you find good stuff and service was good (:
Small mom-pop grocer. I was told by a restauranteur to try Dong-A. Very crowded, boxes on floor so walking around precarious. Floors are UNEVEN, be careful, almost fell twice while walking around -nope I wasnt even drinking. Good for locals within the area. I shopped recently at a competitor, Fresh market. There is NO comparison as iFresh wins my business.
All your Asian food needs. Very helpful.
Great local area Asian Market for getting sometimes hard to get items.
Super kind employees, great prices and a huge variety of goods. My go to for all the things
There are so many Asian super markets in the area and there’s even the one allllll the way on west colonial that everyone raves about BUT Dong A is where it’s at. I’ve been going here for years. I love the groceries, the prices, and the owners. Will always come here before any other Asian market.
This little place crams so darn much in a small shop. But the person helping us was great. She helped us find it all.!! With a smile too.
Dong-A is a nice little mom-and-pop asian grocer. Great place to get our Japanese snacks and ingredients!
Great store. Has thousands of items, fresh produce. The owner is super nice. I am not Asian and dont know a lot about Asian cooking, but she always helps me with great advice on how to cook the Asian specialties she sells.
This place has alot of everything asian/oriental. I find filipino ingredients here too.
Well stocked and organized with friendly and helpful staff.
It has almost everything I need.
My favorite little chinatown family owned shop. Great fresh food, tons of variety, very helpful staff whom have made me a happy customer for 8 years now.
Very nice management.
Just another oriental foods market.
Wide variety !Support small businesses!
Amazing market, well stocked, well organized, has everything I need. Great staff, so friendly and nice. Real emphasis on amazing customer service. Love love love it here!
This is the best Asian food market Ive ever gone to! They have so many food options and some of the best snacks ever!
Best Asian market in the area, very friendly staff, always find everything I need at a great price.
Super variety of Korean, Japanese, and other Asian products. Fresh organic Japanese miso, good selection of soy sauces. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great selection of all manner of Asian grocery products! Worth the hour drive from Lake Co.
The older couple that works there are so friendly and helpful. It was my first time here and she let me know she was there if I needed anything. The older man helped cash out and although I didn’t need it, he offered to help me to my car. So nice! Good selection of items, small store but seriously have everything here!
They have everything Asian. The store is so jammed packed with great stuff you can not find anywhere else. With the 1000s and 1000s of items. They actually now where everything is. Great service the boss lady is the best.
Always come for snack foods, they are very friendly
The owners are really nice. the store may be a little small but they have everything
Best little Asian market in town. Lots of hard to find things there!
Really great staff has everything you need and they give you tips on how to make your favorite Asian cuisine
This is an Orlando staple, been here for years and there is a reason why. Awesome selection of anything Asian and great prices. Staff is always very helpful and attentive. Its my go to Asian grocery.
I found the Ganoderma coffee there and is cheaper than other sellers.
If you need something for your Asian dish. They will have it.
Ive gone to this supermarket for all my Oriental or Asian needs for years. They carry it all. Fresh vegetables, fruit, candy, many varieties of rice, sauces, and cooking utensils and equipment. Its always clean!!
They have such a wide assortment of products and the people who work here are very nice and helpful!
Love this Supermarket. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful. They carry some of my favorite products.
This has the largest selection of Asian market good you will find in central Florida. The employees are extremely nice and happy to help you find what you are looking for. The selection includes all southwest Asian cultures including some from Indian (Golden Curry). If you are looking for an authentic Asian experience or to cook a special Asian meal, you can get everything you need here. I came to pick up Mie Fun noodles, Golden curry powder, and dark soy sauce for a dish Im cooking and picked all of them up in one trip here. The prices can not be beaten. It is a little cramped, but to me thats a bit of the charm. Enjoy!!!
Awesome Small Asian Market with a huge selection of Asian foods, goods, herbal & oriental needs, and excellent health & beauty products。They have Cream Silk here by the way!
Best Asian grocery store in town!
Best Asian grocery store around. Consider it a small H Mart that you want to go back to. The manager and owners are all so kind and sweet. I went her as a boy and now decades later I still go here. From rice and noodles and dumplings and cookies and sweets to fresh meat and veggies and etc. This is where it’s at 👌🙌👍
Excellent place and awesome customer service. This is the place that you can get the freshest seafood in town. You will love the clean and well-organized vegetable section and the staff was very courteous to guide where to find your needs.
Really nice place, they dont just have vietnamese/asian products, they also have some German and Dutch products too. On top of that, the gentleman who was bagging was nice enough to give me free leechy juice. Its a small place, and its tight for movement, but its charming
Many, many Asian specialty food items and more. Owners are Vietnamese and stock a great selection of of products from there, and from other Asian countries too. My wife is Thai and we get many delicious canned, and dried products imported from there as well as commonly used fresh produce grown around Orlando, other areas of Florida, and from central and South America. They also sell some prepared foods ready to eat. Im a big fan of their Summer rolls with peanut sauce. They also have many different types of rice, including black, brown, and red varieties. Many frozen products here including fish and other seafood, lots of vegan products sold here as well.
Great grocery. I usually go to a larger one on Hwy 50. This is my new spot. So welcoming and they have a great selection. I felt apart of the community; not only is staff helpful and kind but other customers were great to interact with. This place is special. Oh and yellow sirachia!
Best Asian market in Orlando. They have a wide selection of unique Asian grocery items like sauces, spices, dried and canned goods, noodles, rice, alcohol and tea; as well as interesting candy, snacks, frozen food and instant noodles. They have fresh, beautiful produce (the most amazing selection of mushrooms around!) As well as fresh prepared foods like buns and summer rolls. They also have some beautiful and inexpensive home goods like plates, bowls, cups, and kitchen utensiles. Ive been a loyal customer for years
Love it here. Always find my ingredients for my Chinese dishes. I also like trying new unusual food from here
The store is pretty compact typical of the Asian market store and it is deemed as such I especially love the cinnamon vanilla you know the Asian style bar soaps that they have their I love those they have a lot of Asian specific items and ingredients that are priced pretty decently so I recommend going there and check seeing if maybe they have something you might want to try PS I got a five pack of those bar soaps for like $2 and I smell amazingly like Jasmine
I love Dong-A... I get their summer rolls like once a week for lunch (3 for $3.. cant beat that!) And often Ill pick up some produce for dinners and stuff. Their selection is overwhelming with how many options and products they have. Its fun to just even wander around. I removed a star because you need to inspect the produce pretty carefully for freshness. Other wise this place rocks? The owners are super nice and helpful too.
Love to go to this store, huge selection, recommended
Worth the drive to find everything needed for asian cooking. Especially the hard to find ingredients. Parking can be tricky in small parking lot. Owners are so friendly & helpful. Will often be able to order items if they dont have them.
They are a Great family shop. She works hard 7 days a week. She has a nieceShe has two dogs... works truly hard working.... Not easy to do things by herself. She deserves to be recognized. I was there to get some gifts for Thanksgiving. I could park in Colonial 2 hours on the main road. She closes at 18:00 PM. She has to cook at home...take her of 2 dogs and what not!!
