Eddie is fantastic, he has had me since day 1 of my first car. I dont even live in Orem anymore and I still come to him for all my car questions and help, he and everyone at the Car Doctor are so kind and have your best interest in mind. I trust them, and as someone who doesnt know a whole ton about cars have been able to feel confident that he will help me. He is always happy to explain what is going on and the different solutions available, and works quickly. Ive even had him bend over backwards to help me in finding cost-effective ways to fix secondary problems hes found/noticed when working on my car. Eddie was really honest on his work and I appreciate the thought. Instead of telling me I need to replace this part or this part needs fixing, He straight out told me that replacing the head gasket/ engine motor plus labor, taxes and fees on my engine is the same as purchasing a higher, value car than what I had. He advice me all the things I need to do in order to drive safely on the road. I should have brought in my car first hand to him to save money before fixing my water pump and radiator on another shop which was very costly and then having the same problem again 2 days later. I do recommend this shop. It is a little pricey but its worth the pay. I have found my repair shop and I would come back again.

I had a great experience going to the Car Doctor of Orem, they gave a great price that beat the other car shops nearby and I was impressed by the quality of service and customer care. I had to replace my transmission which is never cheap so I was extra glad to have been taken care of really well and confident my money was being well spent. The owner was very honest and upfront about all costs and services and it was a very refreshing experience after some bad car mechanics I’ve been to.

My car had been acting weird for a few weeks. First, my car heater had stopped working. Second, I noticed that my engine thermostat was indicating that my engine was overheating when idle. And third, I noticed that my car was spilling coolant. Through all this, my check engine light never came on, so I had no way of knowing what the problem(s) exactly were. Jiffy Lube suggested that I install a new thermostat, they were going to charge me $142 for the new thermostat and labor costs. I had already installed a new thermostat a few weeks earlier because of a different problem I had, so I knew this was not the case. I searched up mechanics around me, and read the reviews for the Car Doctor of Orem. I went to them and dropped off my car. I finally got a call from them later in the day. I am super glad I took my car to them, because the mechanic (Eddy) was able to let me know what the problem was. He did a couple of different tests to try and pinpoint what the problem(s) were. He told me that the most likely problem was a blown head gasket, and let me know they were quite expensive to fix, almost the value of my vehicle. I paid for the diagnosis and went on my way. I was able to find a way to temporarily fix the head gasket, prolonging the life of my vehicle, and it worked! My car heater works again, and there is no coolant leak. Thanks to the Car Doctors of Orem, I was able to at least find out what the problem was, and go from there. I would recommend them.

HIs availability is great and his service is impeccable.I went in to get my brakes changed and after taking a look and making a receipt Eddie diagnosed that my car wasnt in need of brakes, or anything for that matter. He declined payment for not only the service I thought needed rendered, but also declined payment for the time he took to diagnose it. Eddie is awesome and is, from here on out, my primary mechanic of choice.

When my check engine light went off I freaked out I thought this would be an expensive fix that I was not ready for, car started to run rough loosing power and I knew I had to take it to a mechanic, I google shops around my area and I came across The car doctor of Orem! I went in and talk to Eddie a very nice gentleman who took my concerned as if it was his own, he took the time to take a look at my 97 Honda Civic and later in the afternoon he called and said “ don’t worry, this can be fix and am going to give you a good price” the next day I went in picked up my car, drove off the parking lot and my old Honda Civic was running so smooth and it didn’t cost me and arm or a leg! Ive been taking my cars to the car doctors for the past three years for all kinds of repairs. Oil changes, tires, suspension work, breaks, etc. They always treat me good and have the best price in town. Not to mention they back up the work they do on your vehicle and give a year warranty on everthing they do on your car. They honest, reliable and super easy to work with.

I was a little overdue for an oil change and I did not have much time to spare, I came across The car Doctor of Orem, the girl at the front desk was very nice she told me there was no waiting time to get my oil change done, they quickly got it in and start working on it, the tech went above and beyond and checked my air filter and that thing was dirty! so I went ahead and told them to replace it, I started to drive my car and I could feel the difference in my Air conditioning! This company has a VERY SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE! I bought my own brake pads in to be repaired. Waited an hour and a half, paid 120.00 dollars, to find out they kept the new brake pads and never changed them out! I spome to the manager EDDIE who was responsible for the repair ... He tells me 2 days later that there was never anything wrong with original brake pads, never informing on that matter during service.I caught him in the lie being I bought the original brake pads 2 years prior and never changed them out ... Put over 30 thousand miles on them.. My car is still grinding and the original brake pads in fact are still on my car .. Im in pursuit of a lawsuit and am reporting to the BBB. Do not go here for service .. They will LIRE TO YOU ... THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT HOMELESS COMBAT VETERANS IN DIRE NEED OF HELP .. HE TOOK EVERY DIME I HAD. NOT HONORABLE. THE LINES WERE NEVER BLED AS WELL .. STILL AIR IN MY LINE AND ROTORS ARE DAMAGED NOW.

This place never disappoints, I am always treated great, customer service is on-point. They go above and beyond for their customers and I can tell that they are honest and great mechanics. They also always beat the process of other reputable shops in the area, and do just as good of a job or better. We are very happy with them and will continue to go to them with our vehicles. Fantastic mechanics. We recently bought a used vehicle and wanted a pre-purchase inspection. Upon reading the amazing reviews for this place, I decided to take the car there. Immediately, I was greeted and treated very nice by Eddie and his staff. Eddie invited me to take it out on a test drive with him and he was able to diagnose some problems during the ride. The car needed a new motor mount, and some wheel bearings. Now, the car drives much smoother and is a whole lot quieter. Service: Long story short, brought my car in with a leak and then left with a leak.Customer service: I only found out because my car had a loud new sound after they worked on it, they had me talk to the mechanic, he confirmed it had a leak, front desk person’s answer to letting me drive away with a leak was: “the leak isn’t that bad though right?”Price: told me it was one price then charged me $100 more.Summary: No ownership. No responsibility. And after hundreds of dollars, still have a leak I have to fix.Edit: this matter has been resolved through negotiation and a settlement.

Its impossible to find a good mechanic, but I found one today. This place is amazing, from service, to location, to the staff, and the bathroom is like a 5 star hotel. Fast, economical, friendly, down to earth environment, clean, AC keeps the waiting area just a joy to be in. My catalytic converter went out and they charged $300 less than the nearby competitors.2. They have a nice personal touch. Hard to put into words3. He has a 1 year warranty on his services (at least what he did for me)4. Im still stuck on the fact that its so much cheaper.Ill definitely be going there again for any further mechanical needs

Went in to get a free diagnostic for my trunk.... The lever in my car had stopped working and wouldnt open it. I’ve used these guys for brakes on my F150 and a serpentine belt for an Explorer. I plan to use them for everything else I need from now on. Their work was thorough and they didn’t try to oversell me on stuff I didn’t need. The owner seems like a trustworthy person.They also worked overtime to fix my broken timing belt when I needed the car back quickly.Also, they are much less expensive than the Ford dealership.

Took car in for mysterious noise coming from drive train. they did an exhaustive check on trying to determine what the issue was and after spending over an hour identifying the culprit (contaminated brakes shoes) they only charged me for diagnostic fee (some shops might of taken me to the cleaners). I gladly requested the receptionist to add some more time to the bill as that was the right thing to do and will definitely be back based on their honesty alone.

He was very welcoming and very friendly, I was looking for someone to fix the carb on my truck. After a few minutes of talking I noticed that there was a truck in the garage that was very similar to mine. Eddie told me that was his truck and that he was very familiar with carburetors, (A true carburetor service is a service that is really hard to come by.) I brought my truck in and he treated it better then his own, after getting the truck back it started up first time every time after that. The price was way better then I thought it would be and the service was fantastic.I have taken all my vehicles to Eddie from then on, he has since become someone that I respect and trust. Eddie treats all the people that work for him like family and it shows in the way that they conduct themselves. They are all polite and happy to be there.I have never met more honest, friendly, charitable, mechanics then the people at Car Doctor. I went to these guys cause they were close and have excellent reviews. I had them fix my air conditioner. really honest guys, explained the the pricing and options right up front. they were fast also. Mostly I knew I could trust these guys and they were not going to rip me off. Instead of trying to get me to buy the most expensive thing. they were helping me find ways to get the job done and still save money. I would recommend them

Do yourself a favor and just go here. Stop looking & comparing shops & doing research and just give them a call.I had to get the fuel pump replaced and they kept me informed every step of the way. When I had to go back about a month later for a new issue, they did diagnostics for free when another (highly rated) shop had said they would have to charge me $400-$500 for diagnostics alone. The issue ended up just being that a hose had popped off. They charged me $50 for the labor and that was it, saving me upwards of $450+. The owner is a wonderful person and the receptionist is always super nice.It might take a bit longer sometimes, because of how busy they are, but its absolutely worth it.

This is a great place to get auto repairs done on your vehicle. I give them 5 stars for my review. Eddie the owner will take care of you. He is not like other shops. He wants you to come back. He treats you right. His prices are cheaper and his work is done right. He really doctors your car. I was not hassled here to get a lot of other work done. Our son had an accident in our van when he ran over a curb and damaged the under carriage. We took our van into the shop because wed heard good things about The Car Doctor and on the advise of the tow truck driver.After looking at the van they told us that it was fine. On driving it home the warning lights came on and we found out that the car was indeed damaged.I took the car to another repair shop and they found and fixed a radiator leak, the thermostat and a cracked line. These were all caused by the accident.Eddie at The Car Doctor called me and was apologetic for not catching the problem. They returned the money I paid for the evaluation.So, I would give them one star for the person who looked at my car and missed the problems and four stars for Eddies customer service.

I was well taken care of!

Last August my alternator went out and I had only been living in Orem for about 8 months so I had no idea where to take my truck into. So I googled mapped the nearest shop to me and this shop popped up. Eddie got my truck right in and fixed it and gave me the best price and showed me my old alternator and the new one he replaced. Then just last week my intake manifold gasket blew and I trusted this place to fix it, and they did a wonderful job. Eddie will show you the old parts that they replaced and will really explain everything that they had to do so you feel like they aren’t taking advantage of you. I really trust this place and the customer service is fantastic. There’s no bs and no added on extra fees. As well, like I said Eddie will show you the old parts and explain why they had to replace it. They do such a good job here and I would recommend this place to anyone! 10/10 for me

They did a great brake job for a fair price. The price was exactly what we had agreed to. They were available immediately on Saturday morning, which was nice timing for me.

Had a local mechanic that my wife and I were happy with, but got quoted a price for a repair that seemed expensive. Called Car Doctor of Orem based on their ratings and brought the car in. Received a price that was nearly half the other mechanics quote. Have since been back a few times and always feel like Im receiving fair prices and honest assessments of my car, with repairs being handled quickly.Everyone who works here is friendly and happy to explain anything to a layperson, and it feels as though they have a great work culture in the sense that you dont feel like you have a different experience with one employee than you do with another. Whether youre working directly with the manager or someone else, you get the same positive feeling and service.

I usually work on my own car when I can and came in to just have a rusted bolt loosened which they were happy to do but I ended up having them finsh the repair because the price they quoted me and their customer service were unbeatable. When I got there do do a brake job I saw a lot of cars waiting for the work - it was hard to find a spot to park my car. I thought it was both good and bad - good because having a lot of clients is a sign of a good mechanic, and bad because it might take a long time before he gets to your car. I left it there and was willing to wait a couple of days, but was pleasantly surprised when they called me in the evening to tell me they had finished the job. The price was reasonable, and they did not charge me for diagnosing and fixing a short that made the power adapter not work.

Eddie at the car doctor is wonderful, I had a car that needed allot of work and he was fast, professional and at a reasonable price. There was nothing that I needed that he could not do.Recently my car was in an accident and he was able to do the repairs in less than 2 days. From a broken window to new tires, alignment, breaks, repaired a door, bumper, tail light, exhaust, safety and emissions. Dont let the appearance of the older building his shop is in fool you, his service and repairs are top notch. Dont hesitate to call him. Youll know what Im talking about just by talking to him over the phone.

You know how you find your places? Places that treat you so well they eat your loyalty as a customer? Well I found my mechanic here! I stopped on a whim because my a/c needed a charge and they had a sign for a sale. The inside of the shop was beautiful and clean! Their receptionist its very personable and makes sure you get what you want and double check everything with the main mechanic; no upsales, just simple questions. They were busy, everyone in the shop was being productive and bustling. This business cared enough to fit me in and didnt brush me off, and even took the time to show me a leak in my hose, offer to dye the Freon and let me see it for myself. After a couple weeks I ordered the parts as well as a tune up and oil change. Every step of the way I was given a recommendation with all my options, but no upsales and no pushy or sanctimonious BS. When the part didnt arrive on time they offered discounted services for the delay. Every time they went above and beyond expectation, and did so willingly and pleasantly. Their shop was booming and they still made me feel important and cared for. These guys are amazing, the main mechanic and his crew are polite and were kind to my kids and patient with us when my toddler had a tantrum right in their office! Never felt ignorant or judged, feet informed and considered, like I was a top priority. I also dont drive newer cars and am on a strict budget. I feel like this is a place that will work with you. Ive been back three times since, and every time its an extremely positive experience. Thank you to their crew!
