These guys are great and know how to do customer service right! We received this surprise box of personalized gourmet brownies and thank you card after I procrastinated and brought in our vehicle that had a jingling sound MONTHS after it began (after a repair). They still didnt hesitate to make it right. They spent a great deal of time trying to find the jingle, and were able to locate and fix it free of charge (a loose washer). Another low cost repair was also found and fixed at the same time keeping me safe on the road. We use Master Muffler in Orem whenever we have the types of problems they repair. They do great work for a reasonable price. Thank you Master Muffler for the extra nice customer service! The brownies were great! The surprise in the mail was priceless! :) Keep up the good work!

HONESTY. Its definitely the best policy, and Chet at MM&B showed true colors.After going to the place (I wont say where, but it has a big O in its name) I had emissions done on my old Ford motor home, I was told I needed a catalytic converter as it was missing. (I had just bought the rig, and am still learning the rabbit hole I am descending...) I decided to call MM&B. Turns out, Chet said the year of the Ford means its NOT REQUIRED to have a cat on there. Now, he could have had his guys put one on and charged me and I would never have known any better. Now Ive been to a lot of mechanics and I mean a LOT of them. Master muffler is EASILY the greatest shop I have ever been to. Incredible service. Honest people. Quick work. I had so many issues with my car and they addressed every last one of them and explained what all they were doing. I even compared prices with other mechanics and these people WILL give you the best bang for your buck. Chet was extremely helpful but I got to watch most all of the employees speak with customers and they are very down to earth and kind to everyone I saw come in! (Even the more annoying customers) If I or my friends ever need any maintenance done with our cars this is FOR SURE our first stop! I will die singing praises to this wonderful shop!!! BEST SHOP IN THE ENTIRE USA!!!

Tried to have some simple exhaust work done here, without even looking at my vehicle they told me over the phone they werent interested. Couldnt even get an appointment to look at the vehicle just not interested. Great customer service 👎

Great experience. Had a minor exhaust repair. They gave me a quote, called to confirm the repair after looking at it, and had it ready within an hour. Also took careful notes so that any needed follow up would be taken care of.

Master Muffler got me in when I thought my muffler needed to be replaced. When I arrived for my appointment they got my truck in within minutes, put it on the lift and the technician saw the problem. It was a quick fix with a weld to put two pipes back together. I paid and was on my way in 20 minutes. I was so pleased that there was no upselling. My truck is quiet again, the cost was reasonable and I was treated so well. I will be back. My mechanic doesnt do mufflers and this is the place he takes his cars. 5 stars!

This is a shop that values their craft and respects their clients.I hit a pretty sizable rock with the front of my car and I was very worried about damage to my drivetrain. They were clear about the diagnostic timeline (they were pretty slammed when I dropped it off) and were very honest about my car (lucky me, there was no damage). There was no unreasonable labor charges and no miscellaneous repairs. We even joked on the phone about how it didnt feel right to have a shop tell me there was nothing to fix.I worked with Chet and found him to be very personable and professional. The technicians are fast and thorough. They are reasonable with their billing and charge for a fair amount of labor. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. I was incredibly impressed. 100% will be my regular shop and I will be recommending this place to my friends.

I’m not sure I trust these guys anymore. Every time we take our Toyota in for something, it’s hundreds of dollars for stuff they can’t even explain well. This most recent time they tried to tell us we needed to replace an expensive part they had just done a couple years ago that should never have failed this quickly. I don’t believe they find root causes, they just guess, and throw expensive parts at an issue, hoping the customer will just believe them and pay. I don’t just want it done. I want it done right. I’m going to start taking my car somewhere else.

Stop by for an inspection and they did it for free and gave me an honest assessment. The owner seemed to quite a nice and honest guy. I didnt have any issues but if I do ever Id come back this way.

The guy that does the commercials has been the one that helped me in the past. Very impressed. I also have used their location in state Street in salt lake. A family member knows a mechanic in salt lake and he recommends Master Muffler. Excellent location. Give them a try. I moved to salt lake now and appreciate the fast service and very fair price.

NEVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CAR DESTROYED!!! I took my car in. They charged me 1700 to fix it because they claimed I needed new control arms (apparently I didn’t. I needed new tie rods which cost an additional $700 at a different place after the fact. After the unnecessarily replaced both of my control arms, they didn’t realign my tires. Over about a month my brand new tires were completely bald and smooth because of their mistake. I ended up having to get 2 new tires, a new alignment, and new tie rods other places. Worst experience of my life!!

Had an exceptional experience at this shop today. Ive been coming here for a few years for routine maintenance and emissions, and been impressed with their friendliness and customer service. But today I heard some scraping sounds on my back tire on a morning when I absolutely needed my car.I showed up 10 minutes before opening and expected to wait until 8 and be first in line. Instead, Andrew noticed me standing outside and let me in early and happily said he could take a quick look at it and let me know if it was something easy or not. Good fortune was on my side, and he quickly found a bolt that had fallen out of my brake caliper that was causing the scraping. He replaced the bolt and rebalanced the tire and got me on my way in 30 minutes.I award my business loyalties very cautiously, but this experience combined with my past interactions, has made master muffler my go-to car shop from now on. Really, really great work guys. And another shout out to Andrew. That man is a HUGE asset to your shop, please treat him well :)

Some of the best automotive professionals Ive had the pleasure to work with. My van door broke open (wouldnt budge, wouldnt close), and I knew it was going to be a pricey repair. The boys here were very patient and extremely helpful. They quoted me a reasonable price and didnt mind me asking around for quotes from other shops, even though they probably knew I wouldnt find anything cheaper (which I did not). They even kept my van in their shop over the weekend while I looked to keep it safe, since the door wouldnt close. Then, after all that, they positively bent over backwards to find me as many price breaks as they could. I could not be happier with the service here, and strongly recommend them to anyone with an automotive need.

Here is my situation, I took my truck to a ford shop not going to name names but you can figure it out by their reviews. Anyways brought my truck in for a knocking concern and they told me it needed a transmission. Personally thinking that there is no way that it can be a transmission issue, I took it to them because they have done some work for me in the past and wanted a second opinion. Yeah turns out ford was wrong and it was just a bad catalytic converter. The internals had fallen apart and were knocking horribly! The fact is that these guys dont just guess whats wrong they figure it out! I will be bring my vehicles to Master Muffler first from now on! Thanks Guys!

Fast friendly service. They offered me different options to replace my muffler, and was not pressured in the slightest. The pricing was fair, and the turn around time, (about 45 minutes from arrival to departure) made is so I could pop in after work, and still be able to make my appointments afterwards. Will be using this location again for future repairs. Highly recommend.

We have always been treated fairly and with respect. The prices are completely reasonable, and the work gets done in a timely manner. We always quickly recommend them whenever a friend or family member mentions needing work done on their cars. On top of being knowledgeable and always doing a good job, their customer service is top notch. That goes a long way, it isnt enough to do the job youre being paid for correctly, its important to treat customers well also.

They did a good job fixing my brakes and when I asked if the oil needed to be replaced I was told no, it was still good.

Last year I took my car in to have a wheel bearing replaced. They were the cheapest in town. I called a lot of places. Average cost was $365. They did it for $290. This year I am having issues and not 100% sure of the cause. I called an asked them how much to diagnose it, without telling them I am a prior customer, they said they would diagnose it for free. To me that is amazing because everyone else wants $50 at least to take a look. I will get my work done here again.

I really appreciate being treated as a person by these guys. They didnt talk down to me at all and were very helpful. The shop and office were clean, neat and friendly. We needed parts for the warranty insurance and they explained the issues to me then put them in a plastic bags so my truck nor I would get dirty.

My car needed the muffler replaced quite badly. I had called ahead and they fit me right in no problem. The guy on the phone was very nice, telling me that he could look at it to see what needed to be done.I arrived and soon my car was in their garage. The guy there actually took me out to my car to explain what they were going to do, and gave me several options of how they could do it.After my car was finished, I left with a fixed car and a discount. I paid much less than I had anticipated and I had also got my safety and emissions done on top of that. I was very pleased.

We happened on Master Muffler by chance after the KIA dealership insisted we needed new catalytic converters. I found a coupon in the mail and took my car there to get an estimate on said repair. No surprise, the catalytic converters were fine, we simply needed the manufacturer recommended spark plugs and a new coil. A significantly less expensive repair. We have been so impressed with their knowledge of cars (you talk right to a mechanic at the desk) and honesty! Which is so refreshing!!! The owner even gave us a ride home one day, back when we only had one car. They are now our primary mechanic for anything we need on either of our cars from easy safety/emissions to air condition repair and now an evasive electrical problem that has the dealer stumped. I recommend them to all my family and friends. The lobby is also kid friendly!

Ive never met an honest mechanic til I met Mark and his crew. Every single one of them is kind, caring, honest, and knows their stuff. Ive been there several times now for different cars and problems and they have handled everything professionally and affordably.

The guys at this shop explained everything they were going to do, and made sure that they could get it done in the time frame I needed.I had both catalytic converters replaced, spark plugs replaced, fuel system cleaned, and front and rear differential fluid changed. Truck is running great.Their price to replace the Catalytic Converters is by far the least expensive around. I would use these guys again.

This is my second time ever at Master Muffler. Both times have been superb! This time around, I wanted the same service I did on my 2004 Volks Wagon Passat, done on my 2008 Mini Cooper S. This was a resonator delete. They are professional and affordable. The Gentleman who helped me, actually figured a way better option for my car! I now am going to change out my Muffler out for barley double what just a resonator delete would cost. My resonator on my car is too small to really make a big impact to the noise. I was very impressed with how fast they were! They even offered way more services than I thought they did. Guess whos going back here to have my entire suspension done? This guy!! Shout out to everyone who worked on my car as well as I believe was the Manager being Mark! What a professional service, Thanks a Million!

Great customer service at the Orem location! However, I was over charged for parts which is why Im disappointed. I recommend them, but first check to see how much your parts actually cost! They over quoted me then ended up dropping the price which ended up still being costlier than if I were to stop by a local auto parts store and pick up the brake drums and shoes myself. They will take care you of you and give the quality service a paying customer deserves though. Thanks yall

Got a safety inspection done here. They didnt tighten the lug nuts and caused me not only to almost crash but busted the bolt, holding the tire, in half. DOT regulations say a min of 2 tires must be removed during a safety inspection. Called and talked to the owner but they didnt do it and didnt remove any tires. So now im stuck with paying to get it fixed and make up the lost time i missed at work due to this incident. Check your vehicle before you leave this place!!

After calling around to get my muffler fixed I found that these guys were the best price. I was also surprised when they didnt try to sell me a new muffler but instead they could do a fix that would work just as good and save me money. I appreciated the thinking and looking out for me and would highly recommend them.

Ive taken my car here a couple times. I think they do a great job communicating the issues on the car. I appreciate the line item break downs for each component of the work. This has allowed me to recognize what I can/want to fix in my own garage saving a little bit of money.Ive always felt the pricing was fair and never any hidden charges. Theyve never once come to me and said something like oh yeah, we found this and had to fix it too or anything like that.Ive also never had to go back to have them correct something that they worked on.I would give them 5 stars, but the repairs went on longer than expected. Also there were visible marks on the body around and above the wheel well from grease and their work. These marks obviously came off, but I think its something they couldve wiped down.

Every time I have brought my car in these guys have been super helpful with answering questions and efficient with getting the work done.

Had my truck for 2 weeks they put notes in there computer but I dont think they ever looked at them only did half what I ask them to do said my truck would be done in a week after 2 weeks went and got my truck was charged 160.00 and nothing was accomplished that I needed done was lied to on the phone to many time will never go back ripoffs

Went here for the first time and was very impressed. I needed my emissions testing done and they were able to work me in really quickly. The person that helped me was very professional and was able to help me get my registration sticker quickly.

If you value your time and sanity do not go to this master muffler.Recently I took both my cars to have the inspection and emissions done and also an alignment on one. They told me they could get both cars in right away which was not the case. 4 hours later my car was still sitting there. They have never set a proper expectation of time which is an extreme inconvenience for me. Finally I got both cars back and the alignment was worse than before on the one car. So I took it back the next day. They aligned the car and again and still it was worse so I gave up and took it somewhere else. The alignment was done no problem.Next instance was when I bought new wheels and tires for my car. I took them 4 new wheels and 2 new tires. They said they could get it right in, which again was not the case, I planned my day around them being able to get it done. It took them 5 hours to mount and balance 4 tires. This would have taken any competent shop an hour at the most. I called after 3 hours and asked for an update and was told well get to it man, youll have to give us time unless you want your wheels scratched This was said with quite the attitude. After getting the wheels back I noticed they managed to scratch 3 of the 4 brand new wheels.After my first instance with them going wrong I thought id give them another chance. I should have known better.Bottom line- the service I received was untimely, improper expectations were given multiple times, and I was treated horribly when trying to get a status update after 3 hours of waiting.Never again.

Went because of a check engine light. They found it was due to an off-market gas cap, and suggested I purchase one directly from the dealer. Then they suggested repairing some other parts that would need to be replaced eventually, but were not immediate, and gave very accurate estimates, including labor. I was very impressed with their honesty and letting me decide whether I wanted to do additional repairs. I woukd highly recommended them for anyone who needs repairs!

Just found this place a couple months ago and Im so glad I did! I have had big O tires telling me my struts are leaking and it would cost me like 1200 bucks to fix, took it to these guys and they told me 40 bucks to balance all the tires and that should fix my problem. Car is driving so smooth and I couldnt be more impressed with their honesty and prices!

The guys there are always so courteous and willing to help with whatever car issue I bring to them. They are pretty thorough in their inspections and will call you when they find something. They make sure to get approval before proceeding with a major repair.

Initially I had a positive experience here which is why I chose to go back. But I got some significant bullying from Ron on the phone when my son tried to find me a better price on a part. My son went in to deal with Ron personally where he got more attitude. Ron told him hed been in this business for ---- years and on and on. My son fought back, got the better price, but this will be my last repair done here.Okay. Picked up my car and $560. later its still blowing hot air all the time and barely blowing any cool air at all. Yeah. Not a fan.

I took my Tacoma to several different shops and nobody could figure out the problem with my brakes. I finally took it to Master Muffler in Orem. They found the problem, fixed it for me, and restored my faith in mechanics. I am Impressed and recommend this place.

I went in to have my brakes inspected. They were upfront with me and said my brake pads still had about 6 more months on them. I really appreciated the honesty and will be going back when my brakes do need to be changed.

The place offers great deals and prices. However, they were very persistent on selling me so many parts and labor even before looking at the vehicle. Clearly, it did not need it. Also, my cars seat was full of oil stains everywhere. When I went back to let them know they seemed angry and did not even say a word. Someone came out to fix it and did not even to bother leaving it as I had it. The manager contacted me concerned about my level of dissatisfaction and offered to fix the problem and perception of the establishment. This place does care about their customers. Overall had a good experience here.

I needed a weld on my muffler pipe. They said I should replace the pipe instead of welding the old rusted one. They were quick in replacing it and it didnt cost as much as I thought it might. I recommend Master Muffler. They also did work for me before and I was pleased with their service.
