Me and my dad came in on May 1st looking for a new phone as my old phone had started to struggle with charging and the experience was fantastic, all of the employees were friendly, knowledgeable, patient and attentive. They were able to change our plan to an unlimited plan with no extra costs or strings attached as well. The employees were able to show me the new iPhone 12 and explain what features the pro max had versus the regular iPhone 12. They had 2 color options, blue and black, I went with blue. They also had a deal on accessories (buy 2 get 1) so I was able to get a wireless charger for free. No issues applying the screen protector and the case, both look really nice. Proceeded to then transfer my old phone over to the new phone, unfortunately I didn’t have cloud backups of my old phone but that was not an issue at all, there was some trouble getting the new phone to upload data for an update but that’s no fault of the employees and we were eventually able to resolve the slow update and transfer my phone. At one point I needed to leave to get my car and they continued the process which was awesome! I was also able to trade in my old phone. I definitely recommend you visit this store if you need something phone/at&t related! :)

I’m beyond frustrated with the customer service. I have tried to exchange something 3 times and each time I’m told the manager is on vacation or isn’t at the store when I arrive and they ask me to come back. In the morning they only have one person working (and clearly not the manager) and I’ve witnessed times where other customers are upset that they don’t understand something or their issue is not resolved. After my plans expire I will mostly likely be looking for another cell service provider.

We went to this location on a Saturday to request that 2 lines be added to our account. Since it is close to Christmas, the store was very busy and the staff was tied up. We insisted on waiting and knowing this, the staff kept checking to make sure that we were comfortable and to reassure us that they will get to us as soon as they could. Eventually, Stephens time was freed up and he helped us. He actually remembered that he helped us initially set up our account almost 2 years prior and was as great then as he was this time. He is very knowledgeable and personable. The entire experience was a pleasurable as it could be and we left happy. Stephen and company are fantastic and I would definitely go here again for any AT&T needs.

Hands down the best customer service I received in a long time! Not only were Dan Cody and Adam extremely professional - they were also patient, easy to communicate with and just overall pleasant to be around. They worked great as a team and you could tell the three of them genuinely enjoyed their job and took pride in delivering world class customer service. Husband and I just moved to Maryland from out of state and we were definitely late in the game swapping out our recalled note 7s. The task was a little more complex than simply switching out phones and took some time to get everything in order but they handled it like champs! Great experience overall.

I had some billing issues with my AT&T account with four lines. The representative Adam was able to reduce my monthly costs and was able to factor in a new phone at the same cost I was already paying! He was also very helpful in helping me transfer my phone data over to the new phone. I also had a pleasant conversation with Daniel and Peter while I was patiently waiting. If anyone is looking for great customer service and an overall great buying experience I highly suggest you take your business elsewhere. Buying and selling a phone from this location has been one of the worst experiences of my life. The owner only knows how to act disrespectful towards customers and if there is a problem he will argue and Blame everything on the customers. Not only did this personally happen to me but I witnessed it every time I went into the store.

Last month, I was convinced to trade in my old iPhone 8+ and upgrade to the iPhone XS Max. Overall, I love the new phone, and I was agreeable to get rid of the iPhone 8+. I was told by Porya that a mailing label would be sent to me in order to return the old phone to AT&T. I go home from the store, and after 2 weeks of waiting for the mailing label, I call 611 (AT&T Corporate Help) asking how to get the return label, because I have not received it yet.AT&T Corporate says that the store was wrong, I need to go back to the retailer that sold me the phone. I go back to the store, and I am told by a different representative that I need to go into an AT&T corporate owned store, not an authorized retailer (which the Olney store is). I go to a corporate owned store on Rockville Pike, and they say I have to call 611.I have now made 4 efforts to return this phone, and I will be sure NEVER to return back to the Olney location. All this store cares about is the commission they make.

Can’t say enough good things about this store’s new management and décor overhaul. Dan (manager) and Isabel were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, personable and patient. To the nth degree they know their stuff, and explain it clearly, setting your options out for you with no pressure to choose one or the other. My old phone was completely dead, unable to even start, and yet they succeeded in saving and transferring my photos and songs onto my new phone (upgraded from a Galaxy 4 to a 7!) Also showed me how to save about $30 a month on my account. They care, they take the time, and they don’t make you feel dumb for your questions and lack of technical knowledge. If you have any doubts about what true customer service should be, be reassured: they’re the real deal. Highly recommended. (Updated in late 2018:) Still feel the same way: these people are incredibly, consistently helpful and knowledgeable, esp. Porya, Mardo and Peter. Great staff!

Let me start by saying that I like this store but notsome of the employee practices . When I bought my phone Petter and dre helped me . When I came back to switch my contacts Mohammed and Steve were there . I watched Steve sell a lady looking for a screen protector sell her a privacy screen instead so I saw what he was doing and tried to tell the customer that I got mine from big-lots for $6 . Ive never had a problem with the quality so Steve told her I have a plastic peel on protector and that the quality of this $45 protector was better quality I work for boost Mobile its up to the retailer to choose how much they want to charge for an item . So he then spoke about me to the customer. Once he was done he then greeted me like nothing happened and asked if I needed help . No I dont need help from you so I explained that I was waiting for the other rep . He then asked again I tried not to say anything then I explained no you can not help me I just watched you lie to a customer and I dont need you to lie to me . So I waited even though it took a wait I dont agree with lying to customers . You dont know who I am or who I work for I believe he miss judged me because of my hijab but guess what I love Google cause I get to leave a review . And while I typing he is giving yet another customer the run around I wish you could add video lol🤣🤣🤣 happy shopping guys . If you come here its ok depending on who works with you .

I had a very unpleasant experience in this store. I blame myself for this, partly, because I know from past experiences that authorized dealers should be avoided.The staff was ignorant and lazy. Steven was the worst as on top of everything he was also arrogant.The entire thing could have been avoided if AT&T were not locking the Apple SIM cards. All I rally wanted was an AT&T SIM card for my ipad in order to sign up for a $25, 90 day, 2 GB DATA CONNECT PASS. They had no concept of what this is and in trying to help me I ended up with a $25/mo prepaid plan.

Worst customer service ever. Before I could finish stating my problem, the man cut me off and said it couldnt be done. When I assured him the AT&T customer service agent assured me that what needed to be done could be done, he told me to calm down. Then he refused to help me and told me the other associate was new and couldnt help me. Seriously considered closing all four phone accounts and seitching to verizon.

I went to the AT&T retail store in Olney, Maryland, operated by Portables Wireless Centers, with the intention of buying a screen protector for a friends Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone. We worked with an employee named Dan, in locating and installing an Otterbox tempered glass screen protector. I have bought similar screen protectors for various phones in the past, though not from this particular retailer prior to today. The original visit went relatively painlessly, though Dan made quite a few unprofessional and snarky remarks during the process, as if our being there was bothersome to him. We purchased the screen protector, and then Dan installed it on the phone for us. Thank you, transaction complete, see ya later.About an hour or so later, we discovered that a piece of dust, lint, or some other kind of debris had been trapped under the screen protector near the edge during installation, and none of us had noticed. A piece of debris was unacceptable, as it blocked the view of part of the screen, and looked bad. So we went back to the store to get it rectified. The same employees were still there, and Dan clearly had already decided that it was our fault the moment that we walked in. The first thing that he did was blame my friend for putting the phone in her pocket after the protector was installed because it needed 24 hours to cure (no one told us that on our first visit). However, he did offer to change the screen protector. Reasonable enough. He changed the protector, and I passed the phone to my friend to check for debris.Unfortunately, my friend found new debris. I brought it to Dans attention, and this time, unlike before, he first cleaned the screen with a spray before reapplying the second protector. Passed it to my friend again, and she once again found a piece of debris trapped under the protector. So Dan tried a third screen protector, with which he got more debris trapped underneath.When we noticed the debris this time, Dan started to complain to us that he didnt have a white room (cleanroom) and that its technically not their job to install screen protectors, and also told the other employee working that he was supposed to be in Ellicott City by now and that it was possible that the store would have to absorb the cost of the other protectors. After he finished this installation, he left the store, and told us that if it was not right this time, to fix it ourselves or come back on Wednesday, leaving us with the other employee. The other employee, at this point in time, was sitting down in a chair on the salesfloor, with a headset in one ear, having a non-business-related video chat with a third party, speaking disparagingly about us to this person in our presence, even pointing the front camera toward my friend at one point. How unprofessional.I passed the completed product to my friend again, and she found more debris. At this point, I was convinced that these salespeople were incompetent, and I went about removing the remaining debris myself, in the store, with the tools provided in the package, getting my friends approval each time. When I finally had removed all of the debris myself, I passed it to my friend, and she discovered something else, that we initially believed to be additional debris. I used the tools to attempt to remove it, and realized that this wasnt additional debris: it was a manufacturing defect in the glass. I turned to the employee, and asked him, Come look at this. Does this look like dust or a defect? He refused to look at the screen protector.I was getting tired of all of this by now, and asked for a refund on the screen protector, i.e. Im done, because this is clearly a losing proposition. Not only did the second salesperson refuse to refund me, but he also told me how much money the store was losing on us.So in the end, I am out $42 for an unusable screen protector, and having to evaluate my options regarding how Im going to rectify this. I hope that this $42 item was worth their losing a customer.

I wish I could give zero stars. I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 in December. Despite having a supposedly superior battery compared to my 1st Gen Motor X, my S6 battery needed recharging 1/2 way through the day. I didnt think much about it until my phone started randomly turning off. I took my phone into a different AT&T store (Chinatown, DC) which is a legit AT&T store, not just an authorized retailer, and has a device support center. They did a factory reset thinking an app was the a source of the problem. At some point in the conversation I told them I purchased the phone from the Olney location. And the vail was lifted. The device support Center technician specifically advised me not to return to this store. He told me horror stories from other customers who purchased new phones from this location that were 2-3 years old. In light of this recommendation I dont believe my phone was just a dud, I believe I was intentionally sold a phone that would not meet AT&T or Samsung standards. I will never return to this location.

This place is a joke. I went to purchase an I 6 plus because one of my company phones died. I dealt with an indian man who seemed friendly enough and eager to assist with my sale. During the purchase I gave specific instructions that I would like the phone that I was purchasing to be connected to the line of the non working phone. As my wife had the other phone and i didnt want to turn off her phone. I instructed him that I would return later when my wife returned from the city and then I would swap the new phone from my line to her line and i would take her phone and she would get the new phone. Additionally with the purchase of my new I6 the salesperson helping me sold me a screen protector assuring me that if the phone were to drop, the screen would be protected and it would not shatter. After the sale everything went down hill from there. Both phones had been shut down, i missed numerous business calls that were of great importance and my wife missed many calls as well. Needless to say that our business took a hit and the worst of it all, the store in which I purchased the phone couldnt correct the issue. I had to take the phones to an AT&T store in downtown Washington DC and they resolved the issue. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!! finally, i was promised that the screen protector i was sold would protect the phone screen HOWEVER, my wife accidentally dropped the phone and guess what happened........THE SCREEN SHATTERED. When I returned to the Olney AT&T store i was met by a young lady and I explained the issue. Immediately another associate chimed in that no screen protector is 100%. His comments were unwelcomed as i was not addressing my issue with him and his tone was confrontational. If you are going to purchase a phone DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE....AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. They managed to get my money and not make good on the sale. HOPE THIS HELPS THE HONEST SHOPPER DEPENDING ON THE WISDOM AND HONESTY OF THE SALESPERSON.

My personal experience with this location and its store manager AJ Kath optimizes profits over people.  From the start this manager’s lack of professionalism and blatant disregard for customer service bordered on hostile.  I ordered and fully PAID for an iPhone 4 on Monday of this week and was guaranteed the phone would arrive the next day.  Upon arriving the next day to pick up the phone I was abruptly told the phone wasnt here yet and to come back the next day.  Disappointed, my wife returned on Wednesday and was told the same story I was told the previous day.  I wanted to voice my concerns with a supervisor other then the manager. AJ said No one will call me back and he is the ONLY person I can talk to. I called AT&T customer service; the young lady I was speaking with (Patricia) did everything in her power to get me the product I already paid for. But because of the time of day, I wouldnt make it to another location to pick up the phone before they closed. Reluctantly, I had to keep my order with the AJ. On Thursday my wife called the Store to see if the phone had arrived yet and AJ said “As far as he is concerned the order has been cancelled” and if he had the phone he still wouldnt give it to us.  How AJ can cancel my order without notifying me or refunding my money is beyond me and must break some consumer protection laws somewhere.  This entire experience has taught me a valuable lesson in patience but more importantly should serve as a warning to AT&T and Apple.  Authorized dealer only care about selling phones, not customer service, and their actions during this horrible experience reflects that.  Their actions also reflect poorly on the respective companies their products represent.  Consumer reports just came out with a report that ranks AT&T with the worst customer services in the nation for the second year in a row.  I think this is a major reason why.

The owner is fraud and disrespectful to its customer. He threatens customers when asked to resolve the issues. He has no technical knowledge and treats customers very disrespectfully. Never expected this kind of behavior by a AT&T store.
