I usually go to OConnors. But Ive been coming here off and on for the last 2 years. They are really quick with their repairs and do a good job. They power wash all the machines that they repair if its applicable. Its a nice family-owned business and generally speaking, most people there are very kind.

Kathy is a rock star. I recently bought a place big enough to warrant a zero turn. I had done a lot of research, and wanted a Scag, but still had questions. She patiently answered all of my questions, and taught me a few things as well. While I was shopping for a trimmer and chainsaw, the place got busy with commercial customers, and she still gave me the attention that I feel I deserve. I dropped a lot of coin there, and am happy with the purchase. Hopefully I never have to find out how their service dept is.

Like the previous reviewer we recently purchased our first zero turn, a Hustler Raptor, at Smith Farm and Garden. The mower is performing even better than we expected and our cutting time is greatly reduced which is a great benefit in the hot weather. We especially want to thank your salesperson Cathy for helping us find the mower that would best meet our needs and for her friendliness and patience. This was our third purchase of power equipment at Smith Garden and each time we have been pleased.

I avoided coming in to buy replacement blades for my Scag mower, expecting it would be really expensive. Buying them here, factory originals, was way way cheaper. Very pleased, and the quality is better than aftermarket.

The people there are always so helpful. If they dont know an answer they will find out! Humble and kind!

I went into the store to find a belt for my zero turn mower. I didnt have a part number, but I had the old belt in my hand. The not so nice old guy behind the parts counter said he could not help me because I didnt have a part number. He offered no help whatsoever. Just down the street at the automotive parts store they measured the belt and sold me a replacement. Dont waste your time here.

Went into the OKC location since I was in the city to ask about a warranty on my Hustler mower. I am not the original owner of the mower. Once I told them I was not the original owner acquiring about warranty work I was met with an attitude. They said the only way to look it up was by the original purchasers phone number. They also went on to say that the warranty is non-transferable and it’s only good for the original owner. This was different than what I heard but I just went on with my day. On my way home I stopped at a different dealer close to home and went in. They were able to lookup my mower via the serial number and advise me of my warranty status. They said that the warranty is for the mower itself and it doesn’t matter who the original owner is. I will no longer be shopping at this business

I recently purchased my first Honda mower from Smith Farm & Garden and must say, the customer service here is second to none! I went to several shops and several big box stores to look at mowers and none even came close to Smith’s. Most would finally get around to asking me if they could help me and when I said I was looking at replacing my current mower, they all said when I made up my mind to let them know! Both Traci and Cathy (at different times) asked if they could help me and then took the time to actually explain differences and advantages of several different mowers. A week or so after my initial stopping in, I returned and made my purchase and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks to all at Smith’s and know that I’ll be back for any parts or service I might need!!

I have always been really pleased at Smiths, but today they probably lost a customer.They were NOT helpful with finding a part, and they were rude about it.If you dont feel like looking through your parts to find one that will work, you probably shouldnt have a job. But if you did it anyways you would have a bragging customer.Workers comment Im not just going to go looking through all the parts to find one that may workThe part I need is a basic 3 or 4 pulley that is extremely common.I know you dont stock snapper, no one does.But if you would be willing to at least look through your parts to make a happy customer, it would really show that you are in business for the customer.

Horrible experience. Inept employees. Owner who will not step out to address customer service shortcomings in his business. Inability to find equipment left for service. I will definitely find a different provider.

Its a very clean and organized store. The staff is super friendly. They also sharpen chainsaw blades cheaper then anyone else Ive come across too. This will def be my new go-to store for all of my lawn / outdoor equipment and power tools.

I rarely take the time to review a business, but I had to make an exception here. I came in today looking for a chainsaw. The owner, Geoff, helped me personally. Having never owned a chainsaw Geoff patiently answered all of my questions and showed me 3 models that would suit my needs. The staff is eager to help and never pushy. They registered my product at the point of sale and suggested the accessories I forgot that I needed. I live in Choctaw and pass about 10 different big lawn/garden chains on my way to Smith Garden. Its totally worth it. Prices are competitive and the selection is almost overwhelming. They always have what Im looking for.

Everyone here is always very helpful and prompt in helping you find what your looking for. If its not in stock they will order it for you. The employees here make the atmosphere a very happy and friendly place to visit and shop.

Good place to find your lawn and garden equipment needs

The sales staff has always been friendly and helpful to me but Im not a fan of the parts department. Honestly, I dread dealing with them. Ive learned to call them with the part number to make sure they have the part in stock before I go up there because most of the time they dont have it in stock. The problem with calling first is Im usually on hold forever and when they finally pick up they seem less that thrilled to help. If anyone else has the part I need and I mean anyone Ill go out of my way to not have to bother the SF&G parts staff.

Terrible customer service. Had a chainsaw repaired and had a very difficult time getting them to call me when needed to order parts and after repair was done. Yes voicemail was available with no message left.I was also told I don’t know why you brought the case, we don’t need it to repair your saw. I have been in this store on multiple occasions. So I am not basing my opinion on one experience. Time to find a new Stihl dealer..

I chose a different option. Price was MSRP, but I found it on sale elsewhere.

SF&G sold me a new spring for my Kawasaki pull starter....and their service department even installed it for me to make sure it would work since I didnt have the model number for the correct spring.It worked and they saved me a ton of hassle!And they didnt even charge me for the installation.5 Stars!!

Bought my third Honda mower from Smith Farm & Garden since moving to OKC in 1982. Great product and fantastic service from Jeff Smith, Cathy and the rest of the crew. Jeff also saved me about $50 by doing a fix on my Stihl multi-function trimmer attachment rather than just selling me a new attachment as I had planned. Great doing business with folks who truly have their customers best interest at heart.

Had seals on hand that local seal companies had to special order. Good prices on some things, kinda high on others. The seals I got were a great price. I ended up getting my belts at a local hardware store (Evans in MWC) at less then half what Smith was asking for them. Not trying to make it seem like they are bad, I will be back for parts if they have them at a good price. I was quoted 115 for a belt that I paid 45 for at Evans. No one store has everything you need at a price you want. I look at customer service alot which Smith is very acceptable.

Just purchased a replacement Recoil Starter for my Honda lawnmower. I stated on the phone it was for a GCV160 (which I think is the engine model since it is on a label on the top of the engine) and was also asked for the Lawnmower model number (which I knew from searching on forums is on a label on the mower itself). The parts person went looking and found that it was in stock for $10.30 - as cheap as I could find anywhere on the Internet - including Amazon and eBay. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, it was GENUINE HONDA! (They said they only carry genuine Honda parts.) He asked what name to hold it under (without my having to ask) and said it would be waiting on the parts counter for me. >>> Smith Farm and Garden are just West of the fairgrounds on Portland and 10th.

Bought my first Scagg mower here after shopping around for a new Zero turn, from Lindsey, Chickasha, Blanchard and OKC area I felt this place seemed sincere and wanted my business, offering a military discount which was greatly appreciated and the price was hundred dollars cheaper.I was treated with respect and all my questions was addressed.Service Dept is top notch, Josh is outstanding, providing information to customers easily and he is always courteous. The employees here are always helpful. I would highly recommend stopping by here for any lawn and garden needs.

I just came home from exchanging a weed eater cutting head, the fact that smiths was unflinching in their conviction that it fit my echo didn’t bother me as much as the rudeness that was displayed by the female counter person going back in the inventory area and mocking our conversation out loud to a fellow employee, such rudeness can only be a by product of no education in sales and customer service, I will not be returning to smiths at any time and will make it known that rudeness is tolerated in that store

I delivered a troy bilt rototiller to simply get the darn thing started. I was charged almost $200 for an oil change and when the rototiller got home, it wouldnt start. In the first place it has one of those tecumseh engines which are known for problems anyway, but it still wouldnt start after service. Wow I wish I could charge people for non requested service, ignore the described problem and feel good and fuzzy about myself. Near $200 for an oil change!!!!!! And then, the owner is rude and condescending after complaining about the service. I wont be returning to this rip off joint.Mike Brown

I own a local OKC small business and I know what its like to get a bad review or two. These guys are great at everything they do. I used to think that our phones rang like crazy all day long, till I spent 10 mins standing in line at their place one day and heard the never ceasing of their phones litterally ringing off the wall. Point is there is always that one guy that cant be pleased even if you do bend over backwards for him. Just sayin that thats the exact same guy that will write a bad review even if you did right by him. Now nobodys perfect either. There are just some things that will get overlooked once in a while or somebody screws something up. The important thing is how those things are dealt with. With that being said I must also say that there must be a bunch of really good reasons why their phones wont ever stop ringing! I will give them 5 stars just for that all on its own.

The parts department they have said they cant sell a carbonator ajustment tool for some BS reason so I called around and found what I need every where else and they never herd of no they cant sell u a TOOL these guys are BS do not use

I bought a Toro machine for my children who like to go out to cut the neighbors and it works wonderfully and with a lot of power, and he clarified that the machine is not commercial.
