Went here for a nose piercing and was super nervous and anxious because i haven’t had a piercing since i was 5 in my ears and everyone was so nice and made me feel super comfortable. the guy at the door was so chill and assured me that it’s going to go smooth. the guy at the jewelry counter was super educated and was able to explain everything about a certain piece. my piercer was amazing. he did everything he could to make me less anxious and get my mind off of it. when it was time he told me everything he was doing and was done in 15 seconds! when i got up to look at it in the mirror i got super lightheaded and needed to lie down and he got me a cold towel and water and was there the entire time until i was feeling better. he knew exactly what to do in that kind of situation and felt safe through it all. he didn’t rush me or anything and wanted to make sure i was 110% okay before heading out. although they are more on the pricey side, you get what you paid for. i’d rather pay more to have an amazing experience and quality jewelry. i felt so welcomed through everything and will definitely be coming back here for future piercings!

My wife and two daughters were in the area and were just involved in an accident while trying to park. They came to get my younger daughters ears pierced. The staff found out and were very helpful with the girls and helped with calming them down. The person at the front waited and talked to my older daughter and the person piecing my other daughters ears was just as kind and helpful. They all had a better day after visiting the business and it helped in dealing with the craziness of the accident. Thank you all for the kindness you had to my family during this time.The piercing turned out great as well. My daughter was so happy.Thank you all.

Went to get my lobes pierced, after waiting outside 6 feet apart, with a mask on, (OUTSIDE), I was slathered in hand sanitizer, and ushered in. After standing for god only knows how long, because Covid can’t get you if you’re standing up, I finally make it to the counter. I tell the a man assisting me I’d like something small and titanium please (mind you this is supposed to be the cheapest option- and the man even comments on it.) he pulls out a large selection of different jewelry. I pick out one, fill out the paper, and he asks for $126. I’m sorry for what? “ a shop fee, a cleaning fee, etc.” and the list goes on and on. I’ve been pierced here before for cheaper- can’t understand why their price has increased 10x- so they won’t be getting my money again or any of my friends money if I can help it) I went to mystical illusions instead and paid a more fair price for the exact same service. Don’t waste your hard earned money or your time here.

Shane was AWESOME. Drove from Texas and waited to get pierced here and I’m glad I did. My nostril piercings are finally even and I can’t explain how happy I am. Would definitely make the drive out again if I ever want another piercing or anything symmetrical. Not to mention he got them even on the first try

Theyre pricey. BUT this is my third piercing from 23rd street body piercing and quality costs. I got a septum piercing this time. My piercer was a tiny, cute girl named Ashley from Texas. She was very professional, friendly, made me feel super comfortable and changed gloves about 80 times!! Lol!! VERY clean and sanitary. The initial piercing she did came out a bit crooked. She was NOT gonna let me leave like that and got another professional to come assist in correcting it. Which DID require being repierced. But hey....I appreciared that even that small flaw wasnt acceptable to her. They wanted it to be perfect and beautiful. And it is. 😁😁😁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

The doorman was awesome and the people at the front desk were very straightforward. I didn’t get a chance to catch my piercers name but he was very straightforward as well. I have never had anything but my ears pierced, so getting my navel pierced was very nerve wracking. The piercer was nice and it was probably a 2 minute process. The cleanliness of the rooms was very comforting. Overall everyone here is doing their job very efficiently and it was a good experience. Thank you!

My 8yr old daughter got her ears pierced today! They are very kind, patient, and explain everything very well. We got the honor of having Ryan from Texas pierce her ears. I had heard really great reviews from a few of my friends, so I thought I would try out 23rd for just regular earlobe piercings (Ive never gotten a piercing done before). However, the customer service was not great. The guy who helped me fill out my paperwork and pick out earrings was irritable and not as vocal as he should have been. He didnt communicate the prices of anything, so I ended up paying $40-50 for a pair of earrings which are sold for $12 on 23rds website and about $80 for the two piercings. No one communicated any of these things to me before printing out the paperwork with the prices. Because of the lack of communication, I felt very pressured to just go through with the payment.The shop is very clean and I enjoyed the experience of actually getting the piercings done. However, the guy who did my piercing didnt offer any information on how to care for the healing piercings. I did research and cleaned the holes/earrings daily with antibacterial soap, and I used a piercing spray that I purchased at 23rd. The earrings that were sold to me blocked the piercing and were very difficult to clean around. After 12 weeks, the piercings were still not healed and they were getting infected. I had to go to urgent care on my honeymoon to get care for the infection. Now I have scars from the piercings.Overall, just beware of pricing, pick out earrings that will be easy to clean around, and ask a lot of questions about how to care for your piercings while youre there (because they will not give any direction unless you ask).

I am so happy w my nip piercings!! i was very nervous to be having a guy do it, but francesco was so nice and made me feel very comfortable!! it was obvious he wanted me to do what made me most comfortable and gave me the time i needed. will be back!! also the jewelry options are SO CUTE and theres quite literally everything you could want!!

I was helped by the RUDEST blonde chick that I have ever met. I was ready to spend upwards of 250 on really pretty good quality body jewelry but the service was so terrible I wouldnt have spent 5. I will never be back

I called and specifically asked what I needed to bring to get my nephews ears pierced. I was told to bring ID and his birth certificate. I arrived with my nephew and his ID and birth certificate, as instructed, and after waiting in the hot sun for 30 to 45 minutes, was subsequently told I wouldnt be allowed because my name wasnt on his birth certificate. Why would my name be on my nephews birth certificate? I talked to 2 different employees about getting my NEPHEWS ears pierced. Neither one said anything about the name on his birth certificate. I drove up from Norman, wasted time and gas....Im livid. The employees were all nice, however, but Im not driving back and going through that process again. What a disappointment, and my nephew is heart broken.

Ryan from Texas was my piercer, he was filling a guest slot! He did an amazing job, my nose looks awesome. He was professional, made the experience laid back and inviting, and honestly everyone i talked to was fantastic. 11/10 experience, Ill be back for more!!!!

It was my first time ever going to a piercing shop on wednesday & i loved it!! very clean & explain which jewelry would look best for your piercing and the anatomy of your ear. i loved my piercer danny!! super friendly and made the process faster and very professional. can’t wait for my next piercing!

I have gone here for years, since I was a minor. I’ve gotten my septum, nostril, tragus, and flat. The quality of the jewelry is insane and I always feel confident that any piercer here knows what they are doing and is using proper sanitation. With all that being said my last experience here with a piercer was not very pleasant. I had asked him about placement of a piercing and he ultimately left it up to me, which would’ve been fine had he not been so curt and confused that I didn’t know exactly where. To my knowledge there was a pretty specific placement of the piercing. I thought I could ask him as the piercer, as the expert his opinion. I did nothing wrong yet I felt rushed to make a decision because he seemed annoyed with me. How he handled me overall made me uncomfortable and hurt my feelings. I am young and sometimes I feel like people that are older than me think they can speak to me a certain kind of way. It made me leave feeling torn because they really are great. Moral to the story, I should’ve walked out feeling satisfied rather than replaying those events in my head that left me confused.

My sister and I visited recently and got our septum’s pierced. 10/10 recommend our piercer Ryan. He was really sweet, personable and professional. He explained the process before he began and even talked us through it as he was working. I have wanted this piercing for the longest time and with Ryan it was like a walk in the park! We need him back at this location more often. The staff was amazing, from the door greeter to the back. It’s unfortunate that some reviews are less than favorable because my experience was great! I will be back soon because I can’t go anywhere else now. Luckily I got in on a day when there wasn’t a line out the door. I appreciate that they have health and safety protocols they follow inside their shop too. Vaccine or not this is a safe place to go get your art done at because of that!

Today I went to get my industrial repierced and was treated horribly by the staff. The first piercer told me I didnt have the right anatomy for an industrial. I informed him that I had an industrial on that ear before and had no issues and it was pierced at 23rd street. He offered a second opinion, who said he could do the piercing with my anatomy, but that he wouldnt do it because I wear a mask and I would pull the piercing out taking my mask off.They were both condescending and rude. They treated me as if I wasnt smart enough to take care of a piercing. I will not be returning.

Perfect place to be pierced if you enjoy being asked to pull your mask up higher if it is not covering your face in the exact way the employee wants it to. My mask was completely covering my airway, but I was still asked to pull it up higher, while standing outside, after the mask mandate has been lifted. I am a health professional who knows how to properly wear a mask and will not support a business with such a controlling atmosphere. I came to get a piercing on a beautiful day in the USA and walked away without a piercing feeling like I had just escaped from a prison. No thanks!

Waited in the sun for a long time. They should schedule appointments for this reason. I wasnt allowed to go in the store with my partner. I had to wait outside. I was the one paying and they still didnt let me in. They took my credit card inside. I didnt like that. The bindi piercing she got didnt work out. After about 1 month the skin around it started to expose too much of the bar. We had it removed, oh well.

I was disappointed by my experience. Upon arrival we had to queue for a short time, which was no issue at all. When it was our turn to enter, we were given a run through of what we could not do in the shop which included play with our face masks (again, no issue as I understand the reasoning behind this). Once inside, I was perplexed that my friend (whom I had travelled there with) and was also purchasing jewelry and getting a change out, was asked to move away from me. I was unable to ask her opinion on the jewelry I was purchasing, all of which was gold and a more considered purchase. More over, it was the way this message was delivered that was unacceptable. While waiting to see the piercer, I noticed that the tone of certain members of the counter staff to other customers was akin to what my friend and myself had experienced. The piercer was also apparently not a people person and again not particularly friendly. This I can forgive as it’s his prerogative if he wants to turn a $50 tip into a $20 one. In conclusion, as an essential worker who has worked with hundreds of people a day throughout the pandemic I find the stores self imposed protocols to be excessive at this stage of the pandemic, and I judge them to give the more aggressive members of the team free rein to address people as they please. Judging by the snarky/snippy replies by the owner to some of the negative Google reviews this attitude, as it always does, filters down from the top.

Definitely recommend them. They are super friendly unlike most tattoo/piercing shops I’ve experienced. I’ve had two piercings done here and they’ve been super professional and helpful each time! I suffer from anxiety and the atmosphere is always so calming and I don’t have issues with my anxiety when they’ve pierced me!

My boyfriend and I went to get piercings and my boyfriend couldnt get the original one he wanted, but our piercer, Frank, suggested a modified version of the piercing to him that has had him excited since we left. Everyone was helpful with any and all questions and made sure everybody was safe. Ill definitely end up coming back for more!

I had a FANTASTIC experience! I went back in March for two piercings, the person at the door was so friendly and chatty! I went with two of my friends who are Deaf and they were very accommodating, even through the pandemic! I truly can’t sing their praises loud enough. My piercer (I can’t remember their name) had the inside of their ears gauged which I had never seen before and they kindly chatted about it. I was nervous about my piercings and told them so, they made me feel super comfortable and explained the entire process and aftercare. Their prices do run a little high but I’d pay it any day for the quality delivered! I keep meaning to go back to have my piercings switched out for a larger size but just haven’t gotten around to OKC yet. Love this shop!

Was a great experience, took daughter to get an Industrial piercing which they couldnt do due to lack of flesh on ear, she was a bit upset as it was a Bday present from me. But I appreciate their professionalism and honesty. She decided on a septum piercing and they did awesome, and she loved how the piercer made her laugh and feel comfortable. My Piercer, Ben Highs was very patient and professional with me. I had never gotten a piercing before and I got both ears done and it took no longer than 10 minutes. We did a little readjusting (originally my left ear was marked a hair higher than my right ear) we got them lined up and I love them. I cant wait until I am healed enough to start stretching my ears. I will definitely be coming back for more piercings soon!

Got my nose and septum pierced here in January and had a great experience! Very clean, very professional, and my piercer was very nice and helpful as I was super nervous. Spent about 30 minutes waiting but once I got inside the shop I was out in 10-15 minutes. Would definitely recommend!

I like how this shop is run. Everyone was very professional. Also, there are great protocols in place to minimize the spread of COVID and other diseases. Masks must be worn, hands are sanitized before entry, and social distancing markers are in place. They took their time helping me with my jewelry selection and I didnt have to wait long for the piercing. I highly recommend this shop!

I went yesterday to get two piercings done. I got a vertical bridge dermal piercing, and my septum. I got refunded for the septum, because it turned out that my piercing from 6-7 years ago didn’t fully close up! He just used a taper and reopened it. Super happy about that! On top of that, he urged me to be very particular about the placement of the vertical bridge, he wanted to be sure I was completely happy with it. It turned out perfectly symmetrical, and he was so good that I haven’t had any bleeding and the pain very minimal. They aren’t as cheap as your other shops, but honestly you get what you pay for, and 23rd street delivers. Tell your grandma to get her nipples pierced there. She’ll love it.

Unfortunately I have to leave this review because I’m upset with the customer service. I drove an hour to pay 130 dollars for double lobe piercings and after a week of taking very good care of them (not sleeping on them, keeping my hair up, etc) my left ear skin has completely covered the earring and now I have to pay a 70 dollar service to remove them without causing any damage to my lobes. I SPECIFICALLY said that I had a bad experience 7 years ago with this happening and they reassured me that it would be fine. Now after visiting a local piercing shop they told me they would’ve put a longer post in to begin with and helped me figure out my next steps from here.Overall, waste of time & money.

The service was really quick & easy. They had a lot of different options of jewelry at all different prices to fit someone’s budget. They were “covid friendly” meaning they offered space between customers with designated standing/seating areas. They made sure to give a lot of direction on where to go, & what to do/what not to do. I got my tragus done & I love the jewelry I picked out & I also switched out my nose ring which was only $10 to purchase and free for them to switch out. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the guy who pierced me seemed super rushed & as he asked me questions & I answered his responses were kind of abrupt. I’m a very straightforward person, so maybe I just wasn’t expecting that from my piercer lol. He just came off kind of cocky I guess. Other than that, the shop is very clean & well sanitized. The piercer let me check out my jewelry and made sure I loved everything before sending me on my way. All in all a really great first time experience here! I will return again!

Love the folks here, but be careful if you go in without doing all your own research - you may not get the counsel youd hope for from the piercing professionals. Got my first piercing (nostril) here, and the piercer fitted it with a ring rather than a stud. Seven months later, it still swells and bleeds weekly. Granted, I told the piercer I was interested in a ring, but every accredited parlor Ive talked to since had been astonished they pierced me with a ring without at least warning that it wasnt advisable. Even 23rd St. staff has shown surprise when I share the situation and ask for advice on how to finally get my piercing healed. Could just be a one-off experience, but it was negligent, and Im now still trying to fix it.

Got my nostril pierced here a couple of weeks ago. There was a line outside which is always a good sign. They enforced social distancing in the line and kept it moving. The woman working outside made sure we knew the protocols when we went inside. They were extremely Covid safe and I was very impressed. From the woman at the counter to the piercer, everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. If I ever want another piercing, this is the only place Ill go.

I am usually very happy with the service. I have had two piercing and both were great. I returned yesterday to have my jewelry changed. I was met by someone at the door who said i would have to wait in line outside. It was 40 degrees and very windy and rainy. I understand the policy change and the concern for everyones safety, would be nice if it was on the web site. Especially since you have to hike to get there because of the parking situation. As always, the lovely people of 23rd Street Body Piercing are the most helpful, most polite and most professional in the business. The facility is always incredibly clean. In addition, I have not seen Anywhere with such responsible and stringent social distancing procedures. They give a set of rules before allowing you in that are expressed by some of the most gregarious and happy people I have encountered. They ensure that you enter with as wide a smile as you leave with. I have been a customer of theirs for 20 years and will continue to do so.

Theyre very clean, yeah. And looking at other reviews, theyre great for people who havent gotten pierced before. But I sensed a huge lack of experience when a piercer refused to work around another piercers work. And made his decision almost immediately after just a glance at a piercing...6 feet away. If this piercer was uncomfortable with his skill level, he should have said so, and moved aside to have someone more experienced take a look. But unfortunately they turned down a new client. And with so many other choices with the SAME health standards, why would I choose to go here?

I went in to get two conch piercings in one ear. I originally wanted to get hoops, but Andy told me that healing would be more of a pain. He didnt have to tell me that; he could have just let me suffer. He then suggested getting three piercings instead of two as it would be a better look, which Im glad he did because it is a better look.Ben was super nice and very gentle. He only had to mark the placement once as he got it right the first time.The shop is very clean and they take their precautions very seriously. I have a great experience every time I come in.

Cashiers were not welcoming from the start, very impatient with customers especially for someone who hasn’t got a piercing before, we were helped by Olivia the cashier who seemed to be in a bad mood, had an attitude, got snappy about anything we did or said, I will personally never return because of the customer service from the cashier but the piercers were helpful and much nicer .

I’ve actually gotten 2 piercings here and my boyfriend has gotten 2 piercings here. For a total of 4 piercings, 3 of them have been total nightmares! They got these keloids on them even though we cleaned them religiously. We went to a doctor and he said it was from improper piercing! The bumps turned black and so we went in and just had the piercings removed!! I cannot recommend them at all!!

Got my first professional piercing done here. A septum. To start off it was pierced in the cartilage of my nose instead of the sweet spot. On top of that they put jewelry in that was WAY too small that it pinched the skin at the end of my nose and bruised it. I couldn’t eat or open my mouth without crying from the pain. I had to go somewhere else so they could widen the ends. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I recently had my navel piercing done, I really love it and it’s healing quite nicely. The overall experience was very exciting however due to COVID we had to wait in line for about an hour and a half, the guy monitoring the line could’ve done a better job at being more like charismatic but I think that’s just his dull personality. My actual piercer could not have been any more pleasant he was very nice and did a quick painless piercing which took about 5 mins after I had got in the chair.

Took my 5 year old in today to get her ears pierced. I am VERY happy with our experience. She has been asking to get them done for a year so we finally went. They were busy and with covid precautions we did have a wait outside but the lady maintaining the front door was so friendly and gave my daughter a hot hands warmer to keep her hands warm. The piercer was so kind and patient with my daughter even when she got scared (multiple times) and couldnt make up her mind if she did or did not want them. I couldnt be more pleased with the service I received today.

DON’T GO HERE!!! My niece is 9 and I offered to take her to get her ears pierced for her Christmas present. She worked up the courage to finally do it so I took her here. I called the day before and asked what all I needed. They told me I needed her parent to be present with their drivers license and a birth certificate. I coordinated with my very busy sister in law to meet us up there at noon right when they opened. This was right before a snow storm was moving in and they made everybody wait outside in the cold until it was their turn. We were number 5 in line... my niece, excited and scared, my sister in law, my 7 year old nephew and I waited 56 minutes in 33 degree weather before we got to the door man. He then proceeds to tell me that my niece, the 8 year old, also needed a photo ID. I said but she’s only 8? He said they make ID’s for children over the age of 5. I said well why didn’t they tell me that when I called yesterday? He very rudely and sarcastically said “did you ask?” Obviously I asked... that’s why I was calling in the first place was to ask what I needed. Not only am I mad about them not giving me the correct information, I’m mad he was sarcastic and rude about it. He stands outside all day so when he sees children in line, he should’ve walked up to their parents to make sure they had the qualifications so they don’t waste hours standing in line in the freezing cold. My niece now has a cold from standing out there so long and she cried the whole way home. It takes a lot of courage to build up to get a piercing at that age and 23rd street body piercing ruined it for her because now she doesn’t even want to do it. I want to be clear I’m not mad about the qualifications... I’m mad I tried to do the right thing by calling ahead, I was misinformed, then that awful tall, large door man with the glasses was very rude and could’ve easily prevented us and all the other kids in line from waiting in the blistering cold for that long. He should be fired! They lost 4 very loyal customers that day because of his rudeness. My sister, sister in law, niece and I were all going to get multiple piercings and we will not be coming back here. It’s a huge disappointment considering we used to be very pleased with their work.

Clean, attentive, and very instructive. Lots of jewelry to choose from. After care instructions are presented on a large TV with videos showing what to do and what not to do. Prices seemed a bit high, but you pay for the knowledge and experience. The place is obviously doing a good business. It felt comfortable and not intimidating, like a lot of tattoo shops do.

I love this place. 5 piercing. First piercing was in 1995 and just got my last ones on mothers day.

2/3 times my experience was alright, but my ear overgrew over one of my earrings and they treated me horribly when I went back for help.

Superb quality shop in literally every way. The service waa amazimg. The actual piercing experience was on point. The artist by the name of Fransico De Leon did my piece and he walked me through it and answered any questions I had. The front staff helped guide me through my jewelery selection and allergy concerns. There practically no wait time. The greeter was very friendly as well in explaining all the rules. 100% recommend going here and I will be back for sure.

We waited in line for over an hour which is understandable, but they had a lady outside checking everyone telling them the rules and checking people for underage piercings as soon as we made it in the door they sent us out saying we didn’t meet their specific age requirements for a naval piercing. Wonder why the lady at the door couldn’t tell us that when she asked what we were getting done and how old the client was

This is the only place I recommend for piercings in okc! They’re honest, friendly, & efficient. I recently came with my friend to get his ears pierced & decided to get my helix re-pierced. I’ve came here before to get my nipples re-pierced too (I went cheap before & they were crooked). Every time I’ve been here I have left with a smile & a perfect piercing! They also strictly follow covid procedures! I will be returning next time I need a piercing!

The front staff is HORRIBLE! Andy is not welcoming at all and did not give a good first impression of the shop. I didn’t enjoy being treated like a burden when discussing pricing and jewelry options. However, the piercers are phenomenal!

Absolutely wonderful experience with 23rd St. Body Piercing. My boyfriend and I went to get a few piercings done this afternoon. They were the most prepared and clean business I’ve encountered since the pandemic started and we both felt incredibly safe with their employees. We did wait outside for a while, but we would both rather wait a while and be a little warm than be at an unsafe studio! The two people working outside were delightful and very responsible wearing masks, enforcing the mask policy, etc. One was even so considerate that she moved the sign every time a car trying to exit needed to see oncoming traffic. They even minimized contact with the doors and had each person use hand sanitizer before entering. The people working at the front were delightful and very helpful with both of us. They sanitized the counters after each customer and were overall just a pleasure to interact with. They talked to my boyfriend about going for a smaller gauged jewelry, which he definitely needed, and were overall great. My piercer was quick and did a great job with my piercings. My boyfriend seems to have had the same experience. We had three piercings done each and they all look fantastic. The pricing was also great, especially for the level of care provided! Would definitely recommend this shop, especially with the care they’re taking to protect both employees and clients during the pandemic. In addition, the shop is beautiful and I loved the Halloween decorations!

Experienced and extremely clean, two things you want when putting something into your body. Pleasant visit this time to pierce daughters ears. If you havent been before know you will be paying for the experienced personnel, but that also means youll be leaving happy

UPDATED TO ADD:Long story short, I’ve gotten my philtrum pierced 5 times by four piercers at three different studios, and Shane Henderson at 23SBP got it 100% right! He’s done several of my piercings and he is right on the money every single time. GOATIve been going to them since 2013 I think? Maybe 2012? And probably more often than I should! lol Sometimes just to buy bigger plugs, and once to have them remove all of my jewelry only to reinsert it all the next day after an MRI. Everyone is super professional, they take safety and health precautions seriously, and I always feel super safe whenever I go in. The shop is cool, and they update it as needed. It went through some massively cool renovations recently and looks fabulous. They have a HUGE selection of jewelry compared to other piercing shops, and if they dont have exactly what youre looking for, they can probably order it. They dont take appointments and theres usually a line, so plan on spending a little more time there than you think, but it is absolutely worth it. Theres a reason theyre always busy! If you dont know any better, they may seem strict, but theyre genuinely trying to make sure they do quality work with quality jewelry to start your piercing off right. The rest is up to you.(All jewelry except the bottom three lobes on each ear came from 23SBP, and the lowest lobes were pierced at Claires like every little girl back in the day)

I came here to get help with an old piercing that hasnt healed right (was not done here). Zach was super informative and really helpful and was able to give me new jewelry that should help with the healing process. This is also the most sanitary place Ive been during the pandemic which put my mind at ease. I definitely recommend coming here for both jewelry and piercings!
