I used this Midas for the first time today. Mark was a very friendly, kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and honest person. He kindly explained when I should replace my trans fluid, engine coolant in the future. This is really helpful to understand the overall status of my car and its future maintenance schedule. I took my car in for a rear brake job. My corolla has 230k miles and finally the rear drums/shoes were shot. The shop called me back and told me I needed front brakes as well. I was confused because the front brakes had been done 25k miles ago and should still have had some wear left.The associate on the phone said they were very low and needed to be replaced right away because they would begin to grind very soon. I told him that I knew the rear drums needed to be done right away because the shoes were beginning to grind on the drums but I didnt think the fronts should be due. He told me that the grinding may be due to the front as well (I knew this was completely false since any grinding was coming from the rear only).I gave them the benefit of the doubt but told them I wanted to see the pads when I came in. When I came in I saw the pads. They looked to have had 3.5-4 mm of pad. Now this isnt a ton of wear left and I wasnt particularly upset that they recommended this change. I let the mechanic, Jerry, know this. However, the man on the phone, Will, was very dishonest (or maybe had no idea at all) about the state of my brakes. Simply, he was much more concerned about telling me whatever would convince me to get the work done.Now, I am happy with the work that was done on my car. Brakes work well and I have no complaints there but be wary. They will recommend work that may be premature. Find a place that will be honest!

EVERYTHING is explained in detail you can understand—without the hard sell. If they don’t do or can’t do what you need done, they refer you to someone else who does and whom you can also trust to be fair and honest as well.NO FEARS HERE!

Super friendly and helpful. There wasn’t much they could do to fix my windshield in a short time period, but they taped it up for me so it was safe to drive and didn’t charge anything.

We brought in a potential new car for a safety inspection. The owner/manager showed us under the car and under the hood what would need to be repaired immediately as well as what will need to be repaired/replaced in the next several months. We felt that he was extremely knowledgeable and could trust his assessment of the vehicle. He was also very personable and down-to-Earth. We appreciate that we received such great service for only $30!

This place was a total joke. We scheduled my 82 Corvette in to have a diagnostics done on the brakes which we were told the price of and not just an inspection. Ask them that we be given measurements and pressures and everything. The did no diagnostic and gave me no specifics at all and tried to proceed to tell us what was wrong with it and how we should all around take care of it and they hadnt even looked at it. But went on oh what a nice car. Dont waste your time or money here.

I have had nothing but AMAZING service here! Mark went above and beyond to save our vacation!! We had a brake issue that sent us back home shortly after departure. I called Midas in Okemos and not only did Mark squeeze us in on a Friday afternoon, he had it fixed in an hour!! The best customer service in town, hands down!

Alex was great. My struts and shocks went out and I needed them replaced. He helped me, explained everything, and I was out the door the same day. A couple months later my control arm is acting up, and he helped me out again and have me a fantastic price. I would highly recommend this place for anything they can cover.

Got a flat tire on my way home last night. Called around this morning and Midas was the only place I could find with an opening. Alex got me in and fixed up quick. It was my first time going to this location, but they seemed good from what I could gather. If you need quick service, maybe give em a shot.

I usually take my Truck to the dealership for an oil change, but couldnt get in for 2 weeks. I was headed up North and was over due. I tried Midas and was impressed. I met with Alex and found him to be professional. The waiting room and restroom was clean. The work was completed in a reasonable time and was at great value. After my experience, I will bringing all three of my vehicles to this shop in the future.

When I called Midas looking to get in last minute due to a flat tire a day before a trip, Alex was quick to help! Not only did he get me in that day, he took the time to see if they could fix the tire by plugging it before having to get a whole new tire. Unfortunately plugging it was not an option, but Alex was able to get a new tire on my car and I did not have to wait for them to order one! From the time he took my car into the shop to the time he got it out, was under a half an hour. The service was fantastic!!

As a woman I am always afraid that I wont be believed about the issues I am having with my car or that I will be talked down to. However, Midas employees have always listened to what I had to say and worked with me to resolve my car issues. Everyone has always been friendly and professional there. In particular, I want to give a shout out Alex for helping me recently. Not only was my car fixed 2 hours early, but I was also given a free transmission fluid fill-up with my transmission line replacement!

My car broke down while I was visiting East Lansing (bad alternator) and they managed to get my car up and running before they closed. I first stopped at AutoZone to see if there was something wrong with my battery as Ive been having electrical issues with my 2015 Chevy Cruze (Dash turning on and off, eventually leading to power steering turning on and off) AZ told me there was nothing wrong with my battery itself,  and then sent me down to Midas to see if they could help and I was greeted by Alex. Alex was warm and friendly. I told him the reason I was so anxious was because someone in my family passed away, and I needed to make a trip down for their funeral and was concerned about the car. Alex decided he would diagnose the car today for me even though they were booked (and they were, 4 or 5 people came in while I was there) although they were unable to pull any fault codes for my car, they took it for a test drive and cleaned the negative battery cable and grounded it, etc. Hopefully this will fix my problem, but if it doesnt I will not forget the level of service I received. Working retail for close to a decade, I understand how challenging it is to balance existing orders and walk in orders and I was very appreciative that he took the time to assist me when he did not have to.

This place is great! My tire popped off my rim, and I was in a rush to get it fixed before I needed to go into work. Aaron was the worker who helped us, and he fixed my tire free of charge and was so nice and helpful! Definitely recommend coming here, fast service and really nice people.

I feel like this place is under new management who are a lot less transparent. The previous Management would explain your repairs to you and itemize them on your bill so you at least knew what you paid for. Its unfortunate to see this change at Midas.

After a disrespectful and aggressive experience at Tuffy, my wife and I visited Midas instead to have our vehicles exhaust repaired. The staff at Midas was gracious, kind, and jovial. The location is very clean and observes COVID safety. When asked, the manager gladly threw in an oil change to help us offset our costs. I plan on using this Midas location for future repairs.

Both times we went in, Alex and the team were professional and kind! He showed me what was wrong and how to fix it, they were patient with my questions, and produced quality work!

Went in for brake repair, 1000 miles later my wheels almost fell off while I was driving my son to the gym. Left front wheel had 1 lugnut and 1 other post remaining of the 6 (missing 5 nuts and 4 stems). Right tire had 3 loose lugnuts. They fixed the stems at no cost but would not apologize. I said all would be forgiven, Id cover the towing and rental car, Id forgive what could have been fatal at high speed with family in the truck, if they get me some new tires, but they didnt want to make it right. I do forgive them, but come on... Ive never had this issue with any other tire service, even my own spare replacements.

Absolutely satisfied with my experience at Midas! I brought my old beater that I just purchased in because it was making a grinding noise. They were able to get me in same day. Turns out it had a number of issues, brakes being the biggest one. Their initial estimate was high, because they were going to fix everything. I explained that I only purchased this car to get me through the next couple months, and only want what is absolutely needed immediately. They worked with me to figure out what was in my price range, and I just picked my car up and it drives amazing now! Such a wonderful staff as well. And they have coffee in the lobby while you wait. I will absolutely use Midas in the future (although I hope not in the near future, lol)

How am I going to have an appointment if it just happened to me ...? he sent me to BELLTIRE ... here I am and they take care of me very well ...

I took my van in for a brake inspection the same day I called. I decided to wait on the repair, and they didnt charge me for looking it over.

Probably the best place in east lansing area.People there are nice and price is pretty reasonable, even though that’s my first review of all time but 100% highly recommended.

Aaron was the best help that you could ever ask for! He explained with great detail what was being done, and the best plan of action for the current condition of the car. He taught us which oil was best for our car and the proper PSI for the tires! Best experience at an auto shop ever!

I gave Midas a 5 star review because it felt like a 5 star experience and those are hard to get these days especially with auto repair establishments. I was particularly impressed with the worker by the name of Aaron, he helped me out quickly and was very friendly and informative. Overall I left happy and will go back when the time comes. I know I only dealt with Aaron but I feel adamant that his professionalism speaks volume about the company as a whole and about his coworkers so thank you Midas and thank you Aaron.

I stopped in needing a tire repair and Aaron took care of me. Aaron and the rest of the staff were very helpful and professional, had me in and out in 10 or 15 minutes. Very satisfied with my visit and their service, I would definitely recommend them to a friend or family member.

This was my second time taking my 2012 Subaru Legacy in due to mysterious noises... And this was the second time the gentlemen at Midas didnt charge me a penny when they couldnt tell me exactly what was wrong. They checked out the car, ensured its safe to drive, and referred me to folks they thought could better help me. As a young gal who knows NOTHING about cars, Im really aware of how easy it would be to get taken advantage of in this industry, and I just have a sense of overwhelming gratitude for the team at Midas because of their integrity and sincerity, particularly when there isnt anything obvious to fix. To be clear, theyve fixed things on my car before and Ive gotten to pay them for their time and work to fix tangible problems, but I owe them this review for the two times theyve worked to ensure my safety and sent me on my way without paying. Very nice workers here. They gave a fair estimate of repairs. My Vans additional problems, required the dealership to service due to some systems being of proprietary design. Midas workers checked on me until I could get the vehicle towed away.

We had our car towed here after an emergency, and they took it in without hesitation even though they were booked. The staff were beyond friendly and understanding, and their knowledge on our particular car (a VW) was incredible. They made sure to check with us before every repair so we werent hit with strange charges, they fixed our car with incredible efficiency, and their prices were very reasonable for the work they did. I have never received this level and quality of care from any auto shop Ive visited. Fantastic!

Im new to the Lansing area and was referred to this Midas location by a friend. Aaron and his team run a great business. Theyre ethical, honest, and friendly. I made a same day oil change appointment and was in and out in an hour; with a quote to get my brakes done soon (theyre starting to get on the thinner side). I appreciate the excellent service and will be going back to have my brakes done.

I worked for this shop a while back and my only gripe is I got screwed on my last paycheck because my old supervisor claimed I didnt turn in all of my uniforms, but I digress. So, other than that I must say Charlie, Juan, and Kyle are extremely well educated technicians and will never sugar coat anything. If these guys say you need a repair on your vehicle, take their advice and get it repaired. I dont work there anymore but Ill still take my vehicle in for service if needed.

AMAZING customer service! These people have always gone above and beyond every time I’ve been here. I will never get my oil changed anywhere else. I’ve been going to see Mark there for months now and he’s been nothing but kind and honest with me. These people aren’t out to get all your money - they truly want to HELP. Which is a huge relief being a woman trying to find a helpful honest company for my vehicle. Also, I have to mention how incredibly sweet and nice their office manager, Jaclyn, is! She’s the most kind hearted person I’ve worked with in cars, most other places the managers don’t care to talk to their clients - however Jaclyn and I had conversations to pass the time. Overall, wonderful wonderful experience as usual with them! I highly recommend everyone go here, they will even do a complementary inspection of your vehicle and leave you with recommendations and helpful tips! They aren’t pushy with their sales, very honest if something can wait to be replaced. LOVE LOVE LOVE this shop - can’t say enough good things about everyone here!!
