Went in here to look for a gift and an employee was very unnecessarily rude to me. At first I thought it was just an odd sense of humor and they were actually joking, then they followed me around the store. I realized theyd profiled me (tattoos, dirty construction clothes after work, hard hat hair) and they were acting on their prejudice. Maybe theyve been shoplifted from a lot, I dont know, but I will admit that it hurt my feelings to be treated that way based on how I look.

A beautifully organized store the sisters who worked there were extraordinarily polite and did everything they could to help you find everything you were looking for. There is a whole wall of painting you can buy that are absolutely amazing. There was a very reverent atmosphere and was very relaxing.

The Ogden Temple Deseret Book is my favorite Deseret Book. As soon as you walk in the doors you can feel how friendly all the employees are. I always go into the store to buy the latest book and music. Happily, their shelves are always stocked with what I am looking for. Plus, if I ever need a good recommendation for a gift, the employees are always helpful in giving plenty of options and its usually on sale! Dont miss out on this wonderful store in just south of the beautiful Ogden Temple.

Location stinks. It is nice that it is by the LDS Temple, but parking is a joke. They do have a great selection of things, but I will just go to other Deseret Books or shop online than deal with the parking, traffic, and construction. Great staff though. I love Deseret Book. They have the very nicest salespeople. But very often when I want a popular book or item, they have run out and no one can tell me when theyll be getting more.

It really was not that bad at the store but we wanted to emphasize our frustration. The person found the book I wanted and was very polite. Then she asked if we wanted to renew our platinum. I told her we did that before Christmas. She said we didnt and had to have come in the next day after that to renew and get the $23 dollar discount we were offered. This is the third time we have had Platinum problems. First, we joined a few years ago with the offer to get the quarterly LDS Living magazine. After many months, it did not come so we asked for a refund. A few years later, we were asked to join again and we told them about our previous experience. They assured us that it would come this time. Again, it did not come and we asked for another refund. Then this last time, we were told that we would get a $23 discount which would almost pay for our Platinum. Then we find out that we never got the discount and we were not told about coming in the next day!. I told the lady that we were done with Platinum. Jerry Lund

Store is nice and situated in a beautiful shopping area in Ogden near downtown. They have a Beehive Clothing center inside too, so very convenient.
