Great people and great store

Ive been going to these two stores for years. For hand tools to crew gear the prices made it easy to find parking. Last time I was there all the prices shot up. Theyve restocked but the higher prices have turned me away. Sadly will not be returning. The staff is really nice and helpful. What a bummer

Remember that tool that you never remember to get until you need it? THIS is the place that sells it. Hands down, its my favorite toy store in Oakland! Imagine a family-run harbor freight. But more old school and no gimmicks. Plus, just two doors down they have another shop, specializing in workwear and other rugged things. Plus, fantastic service keeps you coming back for more. I wish there were more stars to give!

Great success with finding what I needed whether it be fishing and camping gear or tools for the auto they have it.

Love Bonanza. Ive been shopping at both the hardware and surplus stores for over a decade; theyre old school greatness. The family that owns it is knowledgable, friendly and great community members. The inventory is eclectic and the prices are fair. I like to shop local rather than driving a few miles to the big box store down the street. Highly recommend checking them out for surplus, hardware, tools, household and other stuff you didnt even know you needed.

Great place(s) for tools hardware, work clothes, camping supplies, tarps, and all sorts of oddball- hard-to-find items. Has the feel of an army surplus store.I love this place.

Came here with my husband to find work gear not a large selection and high-vis reflection material was painted on cheap. They followed us around the store which made me upset because we are honest people. I dropped my key on the floor one of the old white ladys picked it up right behind me and never said a thing I left and came back in to look for it then finally asked if they have it and it was right in her hand the whole time. I wont be coming back ever

They have a no return policy, they will not nor do not give any refunds no matter what. They make one purchase against their will. I will never shop there again. Their policy stinks! One has to run around the store trying to figure out what they need in order to spend their credit money because the store gives no refund. Theyre sad.
