They need to do a better job updating what the app/website says is at a particular store and what is the actual present. Thats false advertising all Ace Hardware stores usually have what you need. If not one store then another.

Lived nearby for years and only recently found out about this place, since my tattoo artist is down the street a bit. Nice place to stop in and get some things for little projects around the house or for the plants. Wish they had a bigger selection in the garden center, but I was happy to find a few soil amendments I needed and a few small potted plants I enjoy with reasonable prices

Excellent service. I had a backpack on upon entering, and there was a posted and conspicuous sign reading no backpacks allowed in store. I walked to the left, the kind cashier held it for me upon request. Had my keys cut and paid for with no issue, and made it back home with time to spare (just in time for a delivery I had scheduled). Excellent.

Yes. Went in for ONE specific thing. Had exactly what I wanted, and I was in and out in no time.

Not worried about connecting with customers. They had other things to do. Not a good thing.

The guy that makes the keys that is a little hard to understand is awesome. He helped me not only with copying my keys buy more than a couple random times throughout the store during my visit. Everyone else is generally friendly enough although I do get a bit of a theyre just waiting for me to steal something, eyes following me kinda vibe however I cant say that theres anything really wrong with that, they have to protect their business and I did come in with a large jacket fullmof pockets & walked around everywhere looking around. The cashier was the least friendly, but the key guy makes up for any negative stars she might have earned. Love this place.

Well stocked & old fashioned style hardware store. Has an excellent mix of real industrial supplies for Machinists, Welders and Contractors as well as household things, cleaners and adhesives. Also has an ample hardware and plumbing supply department. Friendly and energetic staff usually help you find what you need and will be willing to order something if its not in store.

If you want the old school knowledgeable *human* support/guidance in a reasonably sized hardware store, this is the spot! Sometimes I go to Markus simply because I dont feel like walking ten miles in a Home Depot or Lowes just to pickup some channel locks! Best part, the staff know what theyre doing and can really help you with your latest project.

Ordered online on 06/18 but order wouldnt be ready until at least 06/27. Finally received confirmation email on 06/26 that order was ready for pickup at the store. Headed to the store today and upon arrival, we called the store number listed and stated we were parked, waiting for curbside pickup. The associate asked for our name and order number which we provided; he asked us to hold and all we could hear was the receiver being put down on the counter and rustling of items and paper. After a few minutes, the associate came back on the phone and asked us where and who we placed the order with; told him it was an online order for pickup at Markus Supply and gave him my last name and order number again. He insisted that he could not find the order but stated hed look around once more. The receiver was put down a 2nd time and now could hear at least two people rummaging. After about 8 minutes of being on hold, the phone was hung up. Called back and now was a little irritated because they were insisting there was no order; this time I demanded they get in touch with someone who would know where the online orders were being held for pickup; was placed on hold for a 3rd time when all of a sudden, a store associate came out with my items. He seemed a little flustered and shoved the receipt in my hand and said, Here, sign this copy. I proceeded to scribble my name and he just pulled the signed copy out of my hands and stormed back into the store.My suggestion would be for staff to separate all online orders for pickup, label them accurately, and place them where it should only take 30 seconds from phone call stating a customer has arrived to when the associate has the order in the customers hands.

This is by far the best Ace Hardware in the East Bay. These people are actually knowledgeable and really give you the kind of hands on help that we used to get in the good old days. They dont just tell you that something is over there Like they do in the big box stores and point in a generic direction but they actually know where things are in their store and make sure you have what you need. I came here to get a key fob and when I priced it at the dealers they wanted $300 I was able to get it here for less than a $100. Less money, great service, knowledgeable assistance, what more can you ask for! This is the only place Ill go for my hardware and other needs! Brian did a great job helping me today with my key and everyone here is very friendly! Ashley checked me out and she was fabulous! She pointed out things that helped me! Really! From start to finish this Ace was outstanding!

Fantastic location, great customer service, and they had what I needed.came in for a replacement key for my Honda CRV. They could have charged me up to $180, but offered a much lower price alternative that met my needs. That is a sign of a trustworthy company. Ive been in West Oakland for years, and somehow never stumbled onto this place. Its not a place that you would accidentally drive by, because its slightly off the beaten path.Use Google and find this hardware store and you wont be disappointed. Its huge, and its in an awesome old, historic looking building.

I decide to stop to this place like 30 minutes ago to buy 3 bags of concrete. I told the lady at the front desk if they can bring my bags to the front she said in a very nice way sure so I told the guy to bring it for me, so he said I wont bring it.. then I said well the lady at the front told me that you can bring it for me,,, so he Brought it he got mad I wont waste my time going there again
