Additionally, he ran me through every area of cost and left no grey areas. Overall, I am highly pleased with the work done here and will return should I have issues in the future.

Quick efficient and friendly. My car would not start they looked it over cleaned up my battery tested and let me on my way. We will be back if we need anything in the future.

Great at his job and trustworthy. Awesome mechanic that wont give you the run around. Hell do the work and charge you for his time, that is it (he doesnt mark up parts that he purchased to do the job). Will sit and listen to your explanation of what is going on for hours if need be. 😀

I had an amazing experience with Garrel and Powers Diesel today. I had an emergency situation and needed my brakes done. I had an appointment already set for this weekend, but he fit me in first thing this morning, and not only hunted down the caliper needed for my vehicle, but because it was going to take longer than expected to get the part up to the island, he drove my daughter and I home and picked us back up once the car was fixed. He went WAY above and beyond what was expected or what he had to do. He was also super respectful and extremely honest and personable. We will be customers for life. Highly recommended!!! Christmas Eve day 2019 I took my car to him for a check engine light. I was told the code and he took the time to fix the problem right then and there . My Volkswagen wouldnt start and had no idea why. Tried and look for solutions for my problem online for many hours total but still couldnt find a solution. Turned it in to these guys to trouble shoot and they figured it out in a couple days. Had the problem fixed with no problem. Price was fair and customer service was excellent. Good guy and good work. Its rather surprising to go into this place for the first time, make one minor mistake, and be called retarded by the owner(?small redhead guy?). I guess this is the minimum he is capable of assuring in the way of customer service and the comfortable vitriol he has for actually mentally handicapped people? Im not offended because hes shown what he doesnt know, however I thought it important that his future and current customers be aware before using his shops services. UPDATE Dont take my word for it, read the owners response (below) in how he dismisses a customer &/or excuses this behavior among his staff. Were it me with my company, Id to try and resolve the matter.

Took my mazdaspeed 3 in for plugs and coils. Guys were above and beyond and fixed my pinched waste gate hose that i had no clue about. Then put my car on the lift when it had a weird clunk noise. Didnt charge me extra. Honest and hard mechanics! I can feel an actual difference in my cars performance after the fix. Thanks dudes!

I just took my car in today because it had issues overheating. I previously took it to the NEX Auto Center, and they charged me $110 to diagnose that I needed new head gaskets. They wanted to charge me $2500-$3000 to fix my so called blown head gasket. I was not convinced so I took my car to POWERS DIESEL AND AUTO and Garrel assisted me right away. He and the mechanics took 20 mins out of their day to look at my car and did not charge me ANYTHING. They found out that the pressurized cap for the radiator was on a the coolant tank, therefore causing coolant to leak out. They fixed the problem right then and there and I left extremely happy and thankful.Whatever you do, go here for auto services. They do not rip anyone off and are extremely kind. THANK YOU POWERS!!! Also, DO NOT GO TO THE NEX FOR ANYTHING AUTO RELATED!!!!

Super happy to have chosen Powers Diesel to work on my truck! They did an oil change for me and during conversation with Garrel, I felt comfortable bringing it back for more extensive maintenance. When my truck wouldnt start one Saturday, Garrel was helpful and generous with his time over the phone and helped me choose the best way to get it up there. It turned out to just be batteries that needed to be replaced but I also had them do the whole 4WD service. Garrel is knowledgeable and good at explaining how things work.
