Great place to take your car to get fixed, the owner and the staff are so nice.

Isaac and the team worked on my 1972 F100 to identify a problem with the front brakes. They fixed the brakes but werent satisfied with how it handled braking still so they kept looking. They identified a problem in the steering, helped me find the cheapest way to get the best part for the job, and got me back on the road. I appreciated their high standard of execution, excellent communication while I was out of town, and sound advice to me as a customer to balance repairing it the right way without overspending. 10/10 will go back for maintenance in the future.

We’ve been taking our truck to Pioneer Automotive for several years now and have always been impressed with their honesty and integrity in assessing and determining the issues that needed repair. It’s hard to find honest vehicle repair facilities that aren’t intent on squeezing every dollar from every repair. They recently replaced a 4x4 transmission on our truck at a more than fair cost. I highly recommend this company for their automotive repairs.

As always they exceeded my expectations. Even after 4 months they remembered me and my servicing which had been done in December. I dont trust my vehicle with anyone else. On July 4th on the way in to town my Dodge dually started screaming at me. The metal on metal shriek was so bad I parked the truck at Saars and had my wife come get me. I immediately started calling around knowing I would have to leave messages and wait until the 6th. I called nearly all the service stations in Oak Harbor. On the 6th I decided to drop the truck off at Pioneer Automotive Services despite the fact that they did not think they could get to it that day. Turns out that they immediately took a look at the truck and figured out that I had a rock jammed in against the rotor in my front wheel. (facepalm) They removed the rock, washed my truck, vacuumed the inside, and in 2 hours I was back on the road. All of that service for a $$ price tag. WOW!! Pioneer Automotive Services gave me honest advice, excellent service, taught me how to remove a rock (again facepalm) and a more than fair price. They have earned my business for life.

A lot of people have fear about auto repair...are service people knowledgeable enough to handle MY cars issues, short of regular maintenance (oil changes, wiper fluids replaced). I have placed my trust in these guys! I thought I did this review already, but it was on yelp, lol....Customer service is tough. These guys are up to the challenge and surpass it, not just for me, but for the other folks in the shop at the same time I am there to get my car serviced. All work is clearly spelled out and thoroughly explained. I am a Real Estate Broker, and I need to have my car in tip top shape - I have had no doubt they are up to the job!!!NOT because they are the coolest, down to ear folks, I do highly recommend. I am new to the area for car service and was desperate to get my car running again. I was referred here by a local business and the service and professionalism was above and beyond. From my first call in needing to find a tow, to picking up my car Emily and Melanie were so kind and helpful. They gave follow up calls and I knew what was happening each step of the way. I didn’t have any appointment, this was an emergency and they also did an maintenance while the car was there at my request. The work was done with wanting to help me get my car running as soon as they could. I couldn’t be happier! They treat you like family and you feel well taken care of. They also cleaned the car inside and out. So grateful to them. It was so great to be able to drive home and my vehicle is running stronger then ever!

This would be fine if I enjoyed using professionals to amend ancillary potentialities, but not if I want to get a vehicle running properly with the lowest cost.The next business my car visited was a dealer, which is very rare for any of my vehicles. The dealership identified what needed to be done. (A single part needed replacing.) It was estimated to take more than the afternoon so they provided me with a loaner. They were professional about it, and I gave them more business because they knew what they were doing.Pioneer may be great for some things/ people/ types of vehicles. It was not for me that one time. It wasn’t an immensely costly lesson, but for the diagnostic fee to provide less than a solid diagnosis they’re giving less than they advertise.Knowing something is wrong is one thing.Knowing what might cause the issue is great. Fixing it without having to put in more costly guess work is professional.Before taking the car to Pioneer a neighbor with a scan tool offered to help. From that encounter I escalated the issue to a higher level of experience._After visiting Pioneer Automotive Services my car required a higher level of ability._

I needed a brake job and had a broken sunroof stuck wide open plus two power windows the would not go up. Pioneer took care of everything as agreed plus provided a ride home when I dropped my car off for the repairs. ...AND they washed my car.I look forward to working with them in the future for sure.As a first time customer, the owner took personal time after hours to provide detailed specifics as to price and the work that was to be done.

My wife took in my 2018 dodge challenger due to an engine light fault. The techs were thorough and had a solid understanding of the components that could potentially cause the problem to reoccur. Although nothing was done today, the tech at pioneer automotive did not charge for the diagnostic but reassured me that if the light comes on again (i had previously cleared the error in the system prior to bringing the vehicle in) that he will be able to further diagnose the cause and rectify the potential issue.10/10 would recommend. Will not be going anywhere else. Thankyou Pioneer Automotive!!

Communicative and friendly. My partner and I were talked down to by another technician which felt very degrading and hurtful. We took my car to pioneer to have it worked on where they are very transparent and helpful. I also did not want to be talked down to, as a female and I did not experience this. What great people, so nice and helpful. My serpentine belt went out on my way home from work and I ended up stuck at Napa calling everyone in town to help. Pioneer not only came through, but also diagnosed the underlying issue and replaced both parts at 5pm. I scheduled an oil change with them after reading all of the other great reviews.

Professional and fast. Very reasonable prices. Highly reccomend over all other auto places in town. They were able to look at my vehicle next day with very short notice and communicated everything incredibly well. Other shops told me itd be about a week before they could even look at my vehicle, Pioneer had it ready in a day and a half.

Super impressed with Pioneer! They got me in quickly for both my vehicles in desperate need of an oil change. They were nice and professional when I checked in, did the oil change within the hour and even vacuumed and washed the vehicles which was a totally unexpected surprise. These guys define honesty and integrity in an automotive repair center. I highly recommend them! They helped me with getting the dealership to honor my motor train warranty, saving me hundreds if not thousands of dollars when they could have taken advantage. I’ll never go anywhere else if I don’t have to!

I have done business with these folks for quite a few years and I really don’t want anyone else working on my vehicles. They are courteous, fair in their pricing, and the work has always been done perfectly and in a timely fashion. They even wash and vacuum my vehicle when they are done. Its a nice friendly place, I took my car in and they didnt come off as condescending like most repair shops do. They even cleaned the outside and inside of my car after looking it over even replaced the wiper fluid. Im glad to find a reasonably priced place with friendly staff, this is the only auto body shop I go to here and I plan to keep getting my sweet peanut butter repaired there. Just dont trust an airplane mechanic to be able to diagnose or repair your vehicle ahead of time unless that airframer is an experienced car mechanic, cause theyve seen it all and I call tell you mine and apparently his whole shop thought peanut butter was having a break issue, I had a gut feeling it was a leak so I told them a leak sure enough we had a leak from a timing cover and the breaks are great. When I told them my spouses occupation they had the look of the stories I could tell based on that job title alone. So yeah Id strongly recommend you take your vehicle into pioneer automotive.

They wash your car! About the only time mine get washed. Great service, great work, no upselling! Highly recommend over that Jiffy-Lube tomfoolery.

We have been using Pioneer for several vehicles for about 5 years or so. We have never been disappointed in their service, including warranty issues that helped us avoid driving off-island. They are honest, upfront, and care about the quality of their work. If there is something they can not do for whatever reason, they have referred us to the best option (for example, a tire issue they could not deal with - they referred us to Les Schwab). Business aside, it feels like small-town family whenever I walk in the door. I would recommend Doug and team any day!

The dude over the phone was nice but he didnt seem super knowledgeable. Also, he couldnt quote me a price unlike everywhere else. I understand that there is a variation, but when youre trying to get a quote for an installation of a specific part, there shouldnt be a lot of leeway outside of labor.

Brought in my 1978 American Clipper motor home with hydro boost power brake and power steering issues, down the road in 30 mins without the financial surprise . Home town feeling and very professional. I highly recommend.

Doug alone is worth stopping by this great auto repair show! He was clearly honest and upfront with us, in an emergency situation where our car had a failing fuel pump. They got us in as soon as they could, did an assessment of the problem for only $90 - and then gave us options that were fair and reasonable.SOooo happy we found them, b/c of their good reviews.
