Super exciting place to seek and find useful items. Great the first time we were there...item/bins were brought out in timely intervals (12pm-3pm)..not a long drawn out wait (bins were changed out at an awesome pace around every 40 mins). The staff was rocking!!!The next time however, the pace was significantly painfully slower (in the morning 9am-12pm) only two bin changes in three hours and two of the Goodwill staff (not any of the guys) angrily yelled instructions (way overboard) at customers (for some customers it was their first time).Overall, such an exciting place. Thanks

This is one of a favorite places to bargain hunt!! Wear gloves. Very nice staff. If you dont want to pick through bins, this is not the place for you. If you like finding bargains and used stuff, than this is the place for you. You can find some really dirt cheap items. You name it, and they have it. Everyday, every couple of hours, different stuff is being brought out. $1.00 furniture, bikes, appliances, tools, dishes toys, clothes, books, golf clubs, there is always a bargain to find.

Employees are very nice but prices have gone up so much it’s not really a bargain anymore. At $1.99 a pound and after digging through broken and dirty stuff, most things end up being more expensive than other thrift stores unless they are super light. My favorite as is store is a Saint Vincent DePaul bulk store where everything is $1.09 a pound and books are $.49 a pound. They would make more here if they lowered prices as people would buy more and put less back.

Its crazy how goodwill will try to get every last dime out of anything donated to them and how people still eat it up as if their giving to a good cause. They treat it like trash at this point cause thats basicly what it is so it IS dirt cheap.Kinda cool though that theres a regular goodwill right next to the bargain barn. I would never give my stuff to g.will but its worth it sometimes cause you can score. But even when you score its still a rediculous overpriced loophole (100% free inventory! 100% profit!) they have going on.But.... ive got lucky.

For those people who live to find a deal, or garage sales, and thrift stores, this is your ultimate destination. It is overwhelming with the variety, which changes through the day. The prices are ridiculously low. You never know what you will find from a high end handbag to a set of dishes. They have set prices per pound and type of item. So whether its a Coach handbag or a Relic same price. You can get great deals. Furniture, artwork, clothing, bedding, sporting equipment, electronics, tools, household items, and on and on, you never know what youll find, you just know you will love the experience. And there is seating so for those people who want to sit and wait (or watch) while partner shops it is comfortable. And I mention watching because, when they bring out the shoes, it is a spectacle. Great bargains and a great staff for the most part. Only negative is that it is a Goodwill company, and we all know how little they give back. While other thrift stores are better charities, this place is still an experience you must try.

Easy to find and see from US41. A different type of thrift store because it is unsorted boxes of donated items.A large amount of everything, clothes, furniture and everything imaginable. Prices are NOT marked on each itemThere are signs on the wall as to how things are priced. It is all CHEAP!! If you are going to get something specific it is very unlikely you will find it. Go next door to the regular Goodwill store for a more traditional shopping experience

Let the races begin! Around 11am everyone one waits in a line as the employees wheel out a few new bins after taking out old ones moments prior, About 15 minutes to be exact. I’ve only been once. It was a strange experience for me, as I felt like I was watch a bunch of grown children. They literally have to tell people not to push others! It’s buying items buy the pound. I purchased a rather large lamp shade, a small toy and a newborn onesie. All for 79 cents! They ask if you want to round up to the dollar for donation. Of course I said yes. All that for a dollar! Would I go there again? Only to watch the people!

This place is no longer busy because there are about ten bullies that shop there every day in a click. They reach over your arms they put armfuls of stuff in their cart so you cant see it even though they dont want it. They block the walkways. They cut you off. Speak extremely loud. Steal. So we used to shop there a lot but now we dont because of these rude obnoxious customers. I think others would agree.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Goodwill Bargain Barn at the North Port, Florida location. The staff is always pleasant and friendly but of course I’m a friendly person and maybe it’s the grumps who complain. Yes the bins can be dirty and that’s why I wear rubber gloves which isn’t rocket science. The shoppers have always be very polite except for the couple grumps previously mentioned. Everyone is courteous and I’ve NEVER had another person looking in a bin I’m in till I leave it and I’ve noticed that’s the norm throughout the store. Shoppers are very friendly but as I mentioned I’m friendly and I guess you get what you give. A little honey goes a long way. The prices are amazing and being a crafter, this place is a goldmine for me. I’ll be going there till I either move away (hopefully not) or if the Barn closes. Five stars is just not enough for this wonderful place with a terrific staff plus all the wonderful treasures, you’ll never find anywhere else. It’s always a pleasant adventure and any excuse I can come up is all I need to get me there. I’d go 7 days a week if it were possible. I’ve been to other Bargain Barns but this is absolutely the best, plus it’s air conditioned, more stars ⭐️. The two restrooms aren’t the Ritz Carlton but I’d go with 3 1/2-4 stars. I’m a happy camper all the way, Joyce Letellier, Port Charlotte, Florida 😊🥰😊

I have found many hidden gems in this store! I love this place! The prices are well worth the effort that you have to go through to find what youre looking for. It is a shame the way some shoppers toss and break items that are not useful to them... I wish there was a way to remedy that issue. There are Haitians that seem to spend their day hanging out there, however, I have never witnessed them being rude or unruly. Staff are great! I recommend wearing gloves as you do have to sift through bins of used items. Great staff, great finds and great prices!!

Fair warning, elbows get thrown here. Bargain Barn is where thrift shoppers come to do battle. Literally. If you go here there are some things you should know. There is a group of people who are here every single day. They will literally trample over you to get a pair of worn sneakers. The staff will wheel out new containers of merchandise and people will stand on the sidelines in packs. When staff gives the OK its an absolute free for all. These people will fill cart after cart with junk and they even come to blows over someone elses discarded junk. If you go a few times you will eventually see who they are. They walk around like they own the place. It used to be fun, but Goodwill has changed so much that now its really just a hassle. You used to be able to find a few good deals, but now youre more likely to get in a street fight than find anything worth having. Goodwill has significantly raised their prices. You can buy the stuff brand new for what they charge. I have found some really great things, but its not even worth it anymore. Getting shoved and pushed and climbed over. Its just a hot mess. Avoid this place at all costs during cold and flu season. Want to see the worst of human nature? Visit the Bargain Barn when they have new stuff. If you dont already have social anxiety, you will after you leave here.

This is a bargain hunters fantasy. It is not pretty and your hands will get dirty but if you are looking for deals look no further. There is everything from furniture for $1.00 to antique and vintage item, clothing, hardware, toys, China, etc. T shirts are .50 and some are like new. Everything is thrown into big bins, no racks or shelves or tables like most retail stores. You have to dig and paw through piles of stuff and you have to grab quickly as there are a lot of customers doing the same thing. It is dog eat dog but if you are up to the task you can find treasures for pennies on the dollar. Happy hunting and good luck. 🍀

It was as if the managment did not take it serious or did not care.

They claim no pushing or fighting but stand there and watch what happens when they bring out a new table. You cannot even have your children with you unless you want them to get hurt. Its very dangerous and the people that work there do not control it. These maniac people who push little children to get to a used pair of shoes should be arrested and banned from the store. A hatian lady there literally ripped a pair of shoes out of my 7 year old girls hands and made her cry not just because she wanted the shoes but because she was scared to death from the inhumane piece of trash of a human who ripped them from hands. Its a shame..its dangerous and goodwill better get a handle on it because a very big lawsuit is coming!

Dumpster dive addictThis place is just like a Goodwill Outlet (different name, same thing). Ive gone many times to the one in Ft. Myers and each has its benefits. FMs store is larger with much better variety and selection. But the prices for most items are cheaper in the North Port dive. Books, however, are cheaper in Ft. Myers. Overall, I think the NP one is cleaner and less crowded, but less selection and more seemingly junk stuff (broken, missing parts, non-collectibles, etc.). The FM one is more crowded, more kids (annoyingly playing with items and messing with your cart), dirtier, but better selection and found some really cool, valuable items there. WARNING: Wear gloves as Ive been cut on some broken glass once, so be warned. Also, as many have written, yes, Haitians at both locations, diving and grabbing shoes and clothing. Thats not what I go there for, so doesnt bother me. Unique shopping experience and can be addictive like a treasure hunt for grown-ups!
