We rented a truck yesterday and staff were very efficient and kind. Considering that English is not my first language, the gentleman who helped me (Michael) was patient and explained everything very clearly and repeated details for me.I needed to make some changes on my reservation, he did all of them and then showed me how to use their website to get the keys step by step.Truck was clean and smooth and overall, very satisfied with the experience.

Michael Araujo, has extremely poor customer service, it is sad that he insist that they have almost full tank, we had to get gas as soon as we got the truck, it was almost empty . Lesson learned, take pictures before you move your truck .

Rented box type trailer you tow with ball hitch. Side markers are like my truck. Rear marker red next one forward is amber. Only red marker worked and they didnt want to fix it. I had to take trailer or lose my valuable property from storage due too storage company remodeling area my storage was.

I rented a truck here. I did not get charged for unnecessary things. The person who I left the truck was really kind and helpful. It was an easy and fast process overall.

Tooo hot in there it’s temperature controlled and they have the temp set to 80+ I can’t even move my stuff in without stopping because I’m sweating too much. The lights also seem to be on a sensor or timer when you walk into the lane it cuts on but it doesn’t stay on long enough I can’t position my stuff properly in the unit before it turns off.

I rented a truck here and ordered a hitch installation. Both times I was generally satisfied but there is always something unpredictable.If an advertisement says you can rent a truck from $29 it means you will pay at least $50-60. Because ad doesn’t mention insurance, gas etcIf you are ordering 1.4” hitch you may get 2” without even notification. Yes, you get it for price of 1.4” but if you were not flexible in it, it can be an issue.So, service is really cool but always be prepared to surprises

Average U-Haul, nothing really above and beyond or special. They were pretty nice when renting the truck, and did explain everything we had asked.

Clean, 24 hour access, and most importantly, HIGHLY secure and safe. Honestly, the best storage facility I have ever been to and rented a storage space from.

If only I could give a 6. I just returned where they mounted a hitch. the bike rack I had was roof mounted, which I did not want, so I bought a bike rack there, and they easily mounted it. I then got a tutorial on how to use/install it. Even threw in a wrench at no charge. Very professional, competent, pleasant, and honest. I could not have asked for a better experience. It was also finished in half the time they stated - only one hour.

The customer service are rude and impatient when you ask about what you need, if you ask the same questions each ones gave you different answers. They want to charge you always the highest praise if you are not aware how the business work. They charge me the insurance and cleaning even when I clean the equipment ant didnt buy insurance. Dishonest people.

The employee at the counter was polite and efficient. She made short work of the rental. The Reservation department is trash. She wanted a one-way truck, and they sent my friend 80 miles out of the way FOR A LOCAL truck! When her original oneway truck (miles included) was much closer. No $50 reservation guarantee, no VIP certificate for the inconvenience, just a blunt what do you want to do and a yo want the truck or nah. Penske for sure next time.

Definitely one of the best UHAUL locations in the nation, I’ve visited many, but this one is on point, I recommend this location for storage and moving Supplies, and truck rentals, and hitch accessories to everyone and anyone, this is the go too spot .

There was some mix up with my ubox delivery but the lady working the phone was very sweet and patient with my concerns and quickly resolved the issue.

Very disappointed how this uhaul storage handles the facility, security, and customer service. I found this mad mess in my storage and still a raccoon is walking in front of my eyes 4days ago. Uhaul never responded how to handle this situation. Who would want to store your stuffs where the storage isnt secured. If a raccoon can sneak in, im sure anyone can sneak in.

I was looking to get a very detailed quote on a moving package that had a lot of moving parts, and Inky was able to assess my needs and provide me with every single piece of information I needed on the fly. Ugh.... nightmare getting there from Manhattan in the dark. I made 3 wrong turns and added 20 mins to my 30mins estimated delivery time. And their UHaul app and instructions on the return need improving

A Pickup for $19 a day plus mileage; 8 hours and a 29 miles ($.99 per mile), ended up costing $230. Prior to taking keys you are asked to go around and look for scratches etc., I did a cursory review and spent less than 10 minutes. I did not see a scratch on the bottom of the driver rear back panel that I was told it was my responsibility. I dont recall seeing it either before picking it up or during the day. My advice to you is to spend at least 1 hour going through every panel from top to bottom and putting all in dispute. Again, I highly recommend budgeting 1 hour for this before your rental time starts otherwise you will have a surprise at the end.

Rented a van for the day to pick up a TV had the vehicle for LESS THAN 3 HOURS. Received a charge off $230 for a “little scratch” for something we did not do. They make us look around the truck beforehand but am I suppose to take a magnify glass and look at every inch so they don’t charge me for a scratch that I didn’t see? Awful location. Go somewhere else.

Dear people,I strongly suggest you be careful with this store manager MICHAEL ARAUJO he is a such a big liar, unrespected and also easier kidding with people mind.Never ever trust this store management also they rules.Such a small, less than 3-inch scratch they suddenly charged $318.46. No explanation and nothing. In front, they are taking your card information and from their mind automatically they charger whatever they want. Im from Florida so Im giving a fresh new outlook on this location. First of all Michael was great. A good agent asks if you need insurance. A great agent explains why you need coverage. I have made the mistake of not getting insurance and has to pay $2,300.00 out of pocket so from now on I will never try to be one of those customers that are so cheap they dont get insurance to save a dollar. In my experience YOU GET THE INSURANCE. The staff where INCREDIBLE WITH US. I installed a hitch and rented a trailer to drive back to Florida. The Hitch was professionally installed and we are on our way. THANK YOU MICHAEL AND THE WHOLE CREW. YOU GUYS ARE PROS AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL. The staff at the North Bergen NJ store was extremely helpful and the only reason why I would ever use UHaul again.However, the disappointment with the National call in Center can not be described in words alone!I was called by National and told via voice mail, that my reservation was cancelled only to be saved by the pleasant and efficient staff member in North Bergen, albeit the next day..I tried to call Corporate back the day of the call and was placed on hold for over 35 minutes at which point I hung up. Also, my attemptTo go on line was in vein as the program told me I didnt exist.The self return app, was a waste of 20 minutes. It could have been completed in less than 5 minutes if UHaul was willing to have a pleasant staff memberAvailable.In fairness the Vehicle was new and trailer was in very good shape.The FIVE STARS are to the NORTH BERGEN NJ staff!!!!Managment they should all be commended!!!As to Corporate, get your Act together!!

By far they worse uhaul spot. I had an issue with a late payment they start calling at 8am in the morning not just me everyone on my reference list mind you it was suppose to charge at 12am so we are talking about 8 hours. When I explain the situation the girls response was we dont do anything for covid all i ask was for a 2 day grace period. So I called corporate they told me they dont see what the problem is and why they cant do that and the manager will get back to me, he never did but I did receive a phone call from a girl probaly the same one once again telling me dont wave late fees. So they are so worried about collecting a 35 dollar late fee more then they are about loosing a 200 dollar monthly rental. THESE PEOPLE ARE WORSE THEN THE GUY THAT CALLS ABOUT YOUR CAR WARRANTY IF YOU ARE A COUPLE HORS LATE THEY WILL KEEP CALLING AND HARRASING YOU.

Easy to return, even after hours

Micheal is extremely unprofessional. I’m alluring to the fact that he’s a bigot! Look that one up mike!He did lie about company policies. Since I’m a frequent customer, I am very familiar with all their policies. He will try to pull one over you if he can. He tried with me but did not succeed. They will lie and say you need insurance, which is an option to customers. They gave me a hard time for their inability to do their jobs properly. I spent my time calling corporate to educate their team. When I checked out, he overpriced me for an extra month. He intentionally gave me a hard time. He never made an effort to resolve the issues he caused. I had go through corporate. I advise you make a compliant if coming across a problem. What a petty individual. I would not recommend.

Quick service and involved in helping engaged on providing satisfaction

My husband and I ended up visiting 5 U-Haul locations during a recent NJ visit (long story...issues with our trailer reservation) but I have to say that this location was above and beyond the best! Staff and service was on point and we appreciate them so much for helping us out. Highly recommend!!

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Just about a year ago I rented a van for two hours to move a shelf. Michael Araujo was the most unprofessional, dishonest, pos I’ve ever dealt with. He tried to push me into adding insurance, which I declined. We went out to check the vehicle before I took the van and everything was okay. As soon as I returned it, the van was inspected and the first thing they checked was the roof, which they hadn’t before. There was a scratch which he attempted to charge me $320 for, claiming I caused the damage, which I had not. I made numerous calls to corporate, only to find out that Michael has had numerous complaints about him, as well as trying to charge other people the same amount in the past for the same damage!!! Thankfully, corporate was very responsive and helpful. I cannot believe someone like Michael Araujo is able to keep his job. UHAUL should be embarrassed to have him as a worker. Anyone who has been writing positive reviews about Michael are clearly being asked to and must be a fake review. I will NEVER rent from this UHAUL ever again, and the reason why I’m doing so now is because I need to rent a van and it brought up the worst experience I’ve ever had. End rant.

Plenty of room,fast loading

So disappointed with this location,they have to much potential but they dont have the equipment you need. Michael try to help you but dont know how to run a business like that. Make a reservations with almost a month in advance and when the day came to pick up a 20ft truck was none at the location. I also reserved a trailer for my car and more of the same, none there. I dont recommend this U-Haul location to nobody and I hope ever had to use them again in my life.

Customer service rep in the Jersey City location, could have make a call and change our location of drop off, but instead she put us to call. Of course we call and we get transferred to five different persons. Until I called the North Bergen location, and spoke to someone there who didnt know how to solve the issue of changing our drop off. She had to call Dina Rovetto of the same Location in North Bergen on her day off, and Dina was so quick and contacted the right personnel and solved the drop off issue. Dina Rovetto is an excellent and professional customer service rep. Thanks again Dina! I would recommend North Bergen location.

Did an out of state move and rented my truck in Buffalo and returned it here. It was end of month and they were excellent checking in all the returns (and there were many). Honest (no extra miles added like other uhaul locations I have returned to). Return took a few minutes once they got to my vehicle. Good job

Easy and breezy access to your unit 24hrs.

The staff was really nice however, we had an appointment to install a hitch to my car at 8am where they said the installation would take 3 hours starting from 8am. They didn’t start the service until about 10:30am and we waited almost 6 hours for this installation to be complete. There was no communication weather there was any complications or anything for them to take this long. I wouldn’t suggest this particular location for any service installations.

I live in Jersey City but drive to this location as its the best. Much easier and quicker to rent trucks and make purchases. Great staff and not too crowded.

It suck when your rent a space paying $270 of .month and when you r moveing out and want to use the Dumpster they charge you $60 just because i put a mattress there uhaul you make millions

Solid facility. Rented a large truck on the last day of the mo the which was also a Saturday. The staff was prepared for such a busy day and despite the large amount of customers it seemed that wait times were reasonable. Tip:Show up a few minutes before they open and you wont wait in any lines. Have rented there twice and would probably do it again.

All i can write is Wagner Alcivar is a rock star!!! we rented u-haul boxes for a cross country move. i cannot write enough praise for Wagner. first off, nice young man, professional beyond belief. as worried as we were to use DIY vs a moving service..... dealing with Wagner was worth the first part of the experience :)the north bergen location is lucky to have him there!!

Great service from a very professional team. I booked the appointment online for one of those crazy Saturday mornings (lots of folks getting trucks), and they never missed a beat. In and out in less than an hour.

Fast and easy to pick up. Rented a truck to move furniture it was quick but returning the truck, well there was a line and I was waiting a while.

The location is great. But the manager Michael is completely disappointment. Make a reservation for 15ft truck and auto transport and got estimated of $150 which is fine but for SIR Michael it wasnt enough. He call me to ask for 1000 dollars for his assurance, not companys. I call the corp and nobody has an idea why so high deductible. However nex day went to talk to him personally and his answer was that he is not satisfied with $150 that he as individual requires $1000.P.S uhaul corp do yourself a favor and find somebody who can do and means business and not works on his/hers personal interest.

My dad rent a truck, they have an excellent service and their employee gave him a really good service at the moment of the rental and also when he went to return back the truck.

I got help from Ms. Anky Perez. Without her help my moving could be so horrible. Long story short, I need to rent 26 truck 2 days before moving day. Of course 26 truck isnt available. But she tried to findout for me instead just telling me they dont have it. She took almost 20minutes and finally she got me 20 truck. I dont know how she did it but she saved me. I went to a few different uhaul before they were nice but simply they said we dont have it. Wherever i go only 9 cargo van was available. Again i dont know how she find it even 20 wasnt available at that moment. Thank you so much again you are the best.

You have some employees who are there to serve you in any way most convenient for them. In other words, which ever makes it easier for the employees to get rid of you & serve whoever’s next. Then, you have very few employees who are there to not only serve you but to make sure you have everything that you came for, that all your questions are answered promptly & that you don’t run into any kind of difficulties while using the services Uhaul offers. I had a storage unit (10x15) for about 7 months, rented a few trucks for many different occasions. Maximilliano Velasquez made everything so smooth & easy for me. The customer service & atenttion I received from him was exceptional not only once, but every time. Will always recommend this location. Thank you Uhaul, thank you Maximilliano.

I rented a truck at 110 US HWY 1 Edison location, and I specifically told the U-Haul customer service agent that I would be dropping the truck off at 3322 Hundson Ave Union City location, he confidently told me that I could just return the truck any time whenever I’m done because truck rental drop-offs are 24/7 now. And when I tried to return my truck, the return location in Union City was locked, so I called U-Haul customer service and they told me this location does NOT have 24-hour drop off and it closes at 7pm. After that the guy said he didn’t know what to do and transferred me to someone else. After a 45-minute hold, a woman picked up the phone and again told us she didn’t know what to do, and she rudely hung up on us without any explanation nor willingness to help. So now I’m stuck with a truck that U-Haul told me to return whenever 24/7 and customer service doesn’t want/know how to help.Will never use U-Haul again and will always help anyone I know to avoid using their service. If U-Haul’s customer service stays like this, it will die. It would be a shame, but it’s also rightful.

I hate renting from this place the North Bergen Uhaul on Tonnelle. The customer service is terrible. Long lines and nobody helps you. They all just tell you to do it online and get irritated if youb dony know how to do it. So I waited on the line for 30 minutes so you can tell me to just do it online? Whats the point of trying to get customer service then? I get to the front and they ask me to just pull out my phone no guidance on what Im doing just direct me back outside. Now I have to take 1000 pics and upload them. What is the point of anyone working here if I have to do all the work? You might as well just have computers kioks.
