I had a great experience at H&A. Ive been there twice over a 3 year span for the state inspection because I have a tendency to wait until the last minute to get any work done on my car and unfortunately for me, Peter and his team seem to be very in demand as its always packed there. Thats probably due to the quick service, kindness, and honesty of Peter which is pretty rare to find it seems.Also they have a nice waiting room with A/C, comfy couches, and great wifi so I was able to get some work done while I waited.

In the past wherever I have lived I did not have a preferred Auto Shop, Now I do!Called in for same day Inspection on multiple vehicles (My first PA Inspections). Peter was able to get me in during the day. His direct communication was great, very friendly and timing was all as committed too (He was more on time than me :) )He also took the time to remove the old plates and install the new ones for me. Some other small things taken care of just because he could. He is full of energy and has a great attitude. Shop was quite busy but I still felt very well taken care of focused on. I will most certainly be back.I also got a quote for brake replacement at the time, price was very fair. I have already recommended the shop to several friends. I will be going back for my needed future repairs in the next months.

My mom has been waiting have for her car to be done for 10 months, since October 2020 and it has yet to be done. The owner of the shop tells my mom her car is ready multiples times and every time she goes back to get her car there is always a new problem with her car when all she needed fixed the was her whole engine and a radiator installed. I am the daughter of this customer and personally my experience here was not the best and I am not even the one getting my car fixed there. I simply asked the man, Peter when my moms car would be done getting test driven because we had been waiting for about a half an hour and the man said to me that I was talking to him with an attitude and his answer to my question was, “ the test driving will be done when he is done” with a tone. What I gathered from talking to the manager, was that he thinks that he can talk to a customer any kind of way and in professionalism he does not understand because you do not tell your customer they have an attitude you try to make the service better so that they will not have a bad experience not be disrespectful back and I also apologized for “having an attitude”, but he counties you talked to me about my attitude and not about the car that I had an attitude about. I suggest that you take it to a different shop because from seeing everything that my mom is going through with her car I feel that no one else should have to go through this stress and should be being overcharged for the work that she is getting done. There is much more that has happened, but Have a good rest of your day and treat others with respect if you want to receive it back.

I took my car to H&A for the first time because it was running with some hesitation. Peter test drove my car, diagnosed the issue, did the repairs and the car is running perfectly now. Peter really knows cars. Hes professional and his prices are right. Overall, it was great service that Im happy with.

After the snow storm, my front passenger side wiper stopped working. With the snow season, i did not want to be without a wiper so I started to search for mechanic close to my house. Luckily I found H&A Auto repair and called them up. Peter picked up the phone, I was ready for the worst, so i straight away asked him, how much will it cost me to replace wiper motor. He asked about the issue and then told me that it could be anything, motor, transmission linkage or something else. I told him I will visit him next day, before putting down the phone, he told me that I should check wiper to see if it is just loose. I did and exactly that was the issue, I just tightened the wiper arm nut and it started working perfectly. I wrote this long review because it is important to have a good and honest mechanic, especially once you car starts to get old. It would have been easy for anyone to make some quick bucks, since I was already expecting the worst, but Peter did not do it. Thank You Peter!!

It is so hard to find an honest mechanic these days. Not only is Peter as honest as the day is long, his prices are very fair. I don’t live anywhere near him anymore but I still bring my cars to H&A for service.

Incredible service! I can not rave enough about H&A Auto Repair. We have been coming to this shop for more than 10 years and their service never disappoints. Yesterday, I cracked (destroyed) my passenger side mirror. I stopped at H&A around 10 a.m. Pete ordered my mirror on the spot and told me I can come back anytime after 12 p.m. to have the mirror replaced. I was too busy to return yesterday. So, I arrived today (with no appt or call ahead) and Pete immediately replaced my mirror. All of this and it cost under $100.00. Value, professionalism and reliability. H&A Auto Repair in 3 words.

I absolutely love this establishment. Colleen who does all the receptionist work is one of the sweetest people I ever met. They are very honest and would never steer you wrong about your car. They have me driving safe and keep my car in shape and up to date. I refuse to go to any other repair shop for my essentials even though I live about 45 minutes away. 10/10, I would recommend to everyone! You just cannot beat their hospitality and service matched with affordable prices.

Brought my car in for an inspection. Upon learning that a ball joint was loose (due to a vehicle accident we thought had been taken care of) they were extremely flexible/helpful with what our options were to get this taken care of. Rather than simply telling us we needed a new one, they were inquisitive and allowed us the opportunity to get in touch with the insurance company to remedy the issue. We also needed new tires. They quoted us a much better quote than the dealer did when we got an oil change the month prior. Not only did they provide us with one quote but multiples for different brands, and one that just included labor if we sourced tires ourselves. We brought the car back in today to have it re-inspected after having the insurance company fix the ball joint issue. They didnt go looking for more things to try and squeeze every last dime the way some shops do. They were professional, friendly, flexible, and honest. From start to finish it was a great experience, and they come highly recommended.Its important to note I dont often write reviews, so take that as the cherry on top!!!!FIVE STARS!!!

Peter and his guys have been fixing my litany of vehicles since 2006/7. Still remember the first time I went to Peter - my Explorers’ wheel bearings where about to snap. He refused to put my tires back on because he knew how bad they were, and what would happen if they did. He is always brutally honest and always very reliable. Even when I moved away for several years - would still send people to him.

This place is amazing ! Both times I used their service they bailed me out in a tough spot. I work in KOP but live in Delaware. The two times I’ve used their service they fixed my car on short notice. I have never found a mechanic that I can trust until I met Pete. All the workers there are down to earth and good people. I would send my boss to them that’s how confident I am in their service. Good price for good work.

This place is not very efficient. I dropped my car on a Friday hoping to get it done over to the weekend. They did not contact me. Finally, I called on Tuesday and the lady at the front told me that she was going to call back in 10 minutes but she never did. I called again the next day and they were finally able to diagnose the issue. I was just tired of waiting and decided to get the car without fixing. They still charged me $108. I do not recommend this place.

Peter and the team at H&A Auto are great. As a client for over 15 years what has remained unchanged is the integrity of the business, trust worthy diagnostics, and quality work they guarantee. Over the years I have used a dealership shop when I bought a new car or when I moved out of the area...I always left the other places feeling like they were trying to sell me additional service/ work that was not required. The lack of flexibility of hours and lack of rapport and trust in the other shops has always lead me back to H&A Auto. Peter always has a funny quip, explains the work, has a comfortable waiting area, and serves the community. The majority of the mechanics are long time employees and all of them focused on work, knowledgeable, and personable.

When can you ever say that youre happy to take your car to the shop?!? Honestly, its when you go here, Peter runs an honest business, loves what he does, and it shows. Everyone Ive worked with there are, kind, knowledgeable, and reduce my slight panic over expense to a level that keeps me feeling like I can manage! Went in not knowing exactly what was causing a grinding squeak when turning. Pete took the time to show me the part (control arm) and explain why it needed to be replaced. Car drove and sounded good as new when finished, at a reasonable price. I expect I will be giving them my future business.

Im new to the area and looking for a good mechanic. I found H & A online.... then asked some neighbors where they went... a couple mention H & A. I stopped by to meet the owner and check out the place. The moment I arrived Pete came out and asked what he could do. He clearly was conscientious and ready to take care of my car. I need my car for traveling so I need it in good shape. I was having trouble with it starting. Pete said hed bring me home right away and would look at it ASAP. He also noticed my wipers were in bad shape and would take care of them.The next morning, Pete called with what needed doing and took care of it. He quoted a price and stuck to it even when the part cost more. He also noticed a few other things that will need to be addressed but would be all set for today. Pete was conscientious and seems to be great. I plan on going there for everything from now on. Thanks Pete!

Best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Im not talking just car repair. Im talking anywhere, for anything. I got my car to them this morning at 9 AM. I got it back at 6:30 PM. I typically do not write reviews but felt this needed to be done for exceptional service. I called on short notice to bring my vehicle in for an inspection. Peter was able to get me in and have everything completed within a couple of hours. He gave me a more than generous discount which he did not need to do. Customer service was top notch and although it was my first time bringing my car here, it will certainly not be my last!

I needed work done immediately on very short notice; I was over an hour away from my trusted family mechanic and was stuck. Despite being clearly extremely busy, Pete personally came out and did the work himself even though the garage was full. He made time to get me back on the road in minutes for a fraction of what I thought that I was going to have to pay. Very personable, clearly loves his work. He is also an amazing person who is great to talk to and makes the experience all the better. This is the place youve been looking for. So stop looking and just call him and bring your car in. Youll never go anywhere else. You could live an hour away and not find anyone better. If you do, itll be worth the trip.

Peter is like a detective. He has figured out long standing problems that other mechanics have not, or just didnt try hard enough. Honest, reasonable and reliable. Bonus - he is close to where I live so I can walk home (but he always offers a ride).

Pete got me in fast and in reasonable time with my crazy schedule. The guys are honest and reliable, I came for one service (which was extremely affordable) and they checked for any other unlying problems my car has and made me aware.. they dont force me to get it fixed either just wanted me to know. If youre not knowledge of cars they explain to you as well (Im knowledgeable for the most part) also.. theyre nice, professional and dont make you feel uncomfortable, I HIGHLY recommend. 10 stars.

Mr. Peter was very honest. He knows about the car inside out. Got my transmission rebuilt within 3 days. I got his referral from my friend. Im glad and happy that, my car is in safe hands. Did my first oil change after rebuild and he did not charge me for that.Thank you !!

Peter does a great job with my cars. Honest, reliable. He fixed a problem with one of my cars that we put up with for years. Another mechanic said he would have to take the whole dashboard apart. Peter said he had to stick his hand down the front and tighten a screw. For years we put up with this issue, and all that was needed was tightening a screw. Thanks, Pete!
