9/29/21 Very nice staff and very easy to and cheap to get in to. I literally pulled up with a truck load of stuff and got online and got right in. I didnt even have to speak with anyone. Very good prices too!

11/1: Great customer service and friendly management.

I had Dale, a stand-in manager of another store in Norfolk while the permanent manager was on vacation & she truly went above and beyond for me. She came back after closing to allow me to start my lease on a unit. She literally saved the day, and made it a point to make things as easy & smooth as possible for me on my moving day! I wish I could rate this 10 stars in stead of just 5!

I would say I had a rather demanding task but they were able to assist me in the most efficient and greatest way possible! Would recommend to anyone looking for storage.

The price here was great and the first month free special was truly free and it was easy to sign up.

Cheapest price around and the manager was extremely nice. Its right down the street from another storage place, which is nice, but this was the way better deal.

Inexplicably, the entrance gate was unmarked. I drove to the front office with the EXIT ONLY gate. So i had to turn around and go back. Otherwise, storage facility appeared to be ok.But CLOSES AT 6:00 PM!

Nice staff, good starting deal that gave every other month free, easy access. Exactly what you want from a storage unit.

Great facility, great staff, only issue is we were told we would have 24 hour access to our unit and after ten pm the code no longer works. That has been frustrating.

My experience at Life Storage has been great! Stephanie and Rebecca are sensitive to the needs of the customer. I highly recommend this facility for anyone who has storage needs.

Good customer service. Didnt like the hidden fee (insurance on your storage items). Why couldnt your home insurance extend to your storage?!?

I just went in to get a storage unit (which can, admittedly, be very stressful). Donna was there to help me through everything. She made the whole process easy to understand, showed me my options, helped me to understand the way my lock works (because it’s not a typical every day padlock), and told me everything I need to know about the unit, insurance, pricing of everything, access codes and payments, etc. She was very friendly (even though I came in about 15 minutes before the store closed, so I felt awful), and she was very knowledgeable about her job. She also made me laugh a few times 😂 She’s pretty awesome 😇 I hope Miss Donna is there the next time I pop in, for whatever I may need to be there for that day ☺️

Let me be a s*#thead for a second and say I liked Uncle Bobs Storage better. But when they changed names I didnt move. EVERYTHING has remained the same. Most important are nice people that work here, they were always nicer than their competitors! They make J. Rabbits Storage look like road kill. I suggest you store here first and remember that they are so nice you may not find any vacancy.

Very clean easy to get to never had any trouble getting to the gate. Hours of convenient for me open kind of late which is it helpful. Have an associated with people in the office but here theyre pretty nice and helpful. Good spot to keep all your extra stuff you cant keep in your house. Stored some things here for a couple of years, started when it was an Uncle Bobs and stayed there until recently. At the time it was the best price around. In all the time I was there, we only had one issue when rats had chewed through the insulation in the ceiling and made their home in one of our boxes (even found a dead rat in a container it got trapped in). Luckily most of our items were stored in plastic totes and we had insurance so we didnt lose too much. The staff quickly found us another unit in a different building. Other than that everything was fine, convenient hours, and easy online process for payments.

They always take care of me while I was out on deployment Stephanie and her crew are always take good care of me and always helped me with whatever I needed.I will be back.

A few years ago I was going on deployment and my family was going to move back home while I was away. So I put all of our belongings at this location until our return.About a year later, we rented a U-haul and went to our unit. The key we had for the lock didnt work so I simply thought maybe we just misplaced the right one since it had been so long. I broke the lock with a blunt object and threw it away since there was no purpose of having a lock that we had no key for.We loaded every thing into the U-haul, went straight to our new house, and started unpacking. As we were unpacking, we noticed many things were missing. So I started writing a list and it was very clear that we had gotten robbed.We tried to notify the storage unit but the employee was not cooperating and seemed very suspicious. The next day we went to the local police department to file a report. Sad to say because I had thrown away the lock there was no proof the unit had been broken into.I have absolutely no proof that the storage unit was involved but it seems weird that so much was missing and no one saw anything. My wife and I believed one of the staff members overheard us talking about being gone for a long time and was an inside man. With their own lock on our unit, they could come and go as they pleased.Like I said, we have absolutely no proof but whats the point of bringing your belongings here and trusting them when you can get robbed and no one cares? Without a doubt, I will never go here or any of their other locations again. They might as well not have any camera or a fence cause it obviously doesnt matter. Oh, and FYI, their insurance doesnt cover theft.

Love this place,everyone is very polite and helpful, stephanie is the best,she takes time to explain everything and show u each unit no matter how long it takes, always satisfied and the insurance company also takes good care of you.

My car battery died and they used their own jumper cables (after I couldnt find mine) and personal truck battery, then after figuring out that jumping it from another battery wouldnt work, one of the employees drove me to a near by auto store to pick up a new battery! Great people that helped me out in a tight spot.

I rented from for almost two years this time, previous renter. Great staff and great storage units. I have always had a interior unit and never had a issue. If anything just a couple daddy long legs, but no serious pests. While renting, they changed from Bobs Storage Unit into Life Storage. Everything transferred over, without having to update anything. Auto-pay stayed in place too. Would highly recommend!

Friendly atmosphere, felt safe and secured.Made everything simple and definitely highly recommended.

Would be 5 starts but the price just went up for an unknown reason an I cant even utilize my entire cubic sq ft due to the vent running through my unit. Not to mention EVERYTIME I come by I have to sweep the hall!

Life Storages customer service was amazing. They were attentive and friendly. Amari and Olivia drove me from the office to my unit and showed me around. Amari also went with me to test my code at the gate to make sure I could get in. They helped me get a lock and a dolly to move my items. They knew the answers to all of my questions and were very informative. You could tell they care about their customers and facility.

Since Life storage has taken over this location although clean, they still havent replaced the lights in the hall of the unit. Worse part is they increase prices every 6 months or earlier (price is $18 more than January) at this pace I am already looking at buildinh a new shed in the yard, because even with financing will be cheaper than staying here. I tried 3 times to contact customer service and I just get an answering service.
