While waiting to be serviced I noticed Tamika go above and beyond with a somewhat urgent customer over the phone. Tamika remained patient calm and was able to get through to the customer. I had to let her know how impressed I was with her customer service. Thank you Tamika for assisting me. 😇

EDIT:My original review was pretty scathing, however I was frustrated with the situation and there was seemingly no viable solution to the issue according to the store manager. After leaving a google review, a district manager reached out to me and was able to work with me to get me into a unit that worked for me.However, I am still leaving off one star as this was an entirely avoidable situation on the Companys part. Ive been told the reasons why units are advertised at a certain size when they are not. Time will tell if they take action to correct this.My advice for anyone looking to rent storage space: If you have bulky items that must fit in the together, do not take the companys word for the size of the unit. Do not sign a lease unit you see your unit and are able to measure it.Everyone I worked with at every level was pleasant and personable which made the situation we were in as easy-going as possible.Original Review:I reserved a unit that was advertised as 5 x 10 - Storage Unit . My use case for the unit was storing some work benches that measured 2x4. Two of these benches for should nicely in an actual 5x10 unit. When measured, the actual unit dimensions are 4 x 8. This equates to a 22% decrease in size from what is advertised.When I spoke to the store manager, they told me that this was not a mistake, I was assigned the correct unit, and that [our] 5x10 unit is 4 foot by 8 foot. When I pressed for an answer as to what the numbers 5x10 means, they were not able to answer and instead told me that I should have toured the unit prior to purchase.

Highly recommended, I looked through all the options I have around where I live and so far the better option. Price is way better than other ones around and the lady at the front desk is the most friendly person I have met, which I personally always appreciate a big smile behind a customer service desk.

I went to multiple storage places looking for a small unit that I could quickly move my items into and even though the prices were a little high the customer service and the willingness to go the extra mile for me is what made me settle at this place. The property is clean, the manager shawn is extremely professional and I could really tell how important it was to to him to earn my business. I would definitely recommend this place.

It was okay until it came time to me checking out of the unit. They said that I wouldnt be allowed to get some of my money back when I payed a year in advance. I advise to pay monthly only, even though Cynthia told me I could get a refund. It under new manamen now so they wouldnt do it.

The Sewell point rd location in Nordolk was very helpful and stress free. Nicole and Kim helped me choose the unit that was just right for my needs and provided me with useful information that would make my move in as quickly and easy as possible.

I wasnt pleased. They wouldnt allow us to look at the unit before paying. There was no paperwork involved. The manager didnt accompany us to look at the unit and when we finally found it, there was a lock on it as if it were already in use. We looked in a unit close to it...there was mold and it wasnt clean. We went back to the office and tried to cancel, but no one was there to assist us. So, I went in the next day to cancel. Mind you, we never used the unit...hell, we couldnt even get in it but we were refused a refund. After cancelling, I received emails and texts that my bill was past due. I shouldnt have a bill for a unit I never used. It was a horrible experience.

I was in serious need of a storage unit and I needed one fast. After going to several storage places I call the manager over at Sewells Point Shawn and he went out his way to make sure he serviced my ever need. He went thru all the sizes with me until we found the perfect sized unit and on top of that he provided me with a truck to move my items. I was wowed by his commitment to me as a person and customer and I will definitely recommend this facility to friends and family thanks you so much Shawn and devon self storage
