First off these people are amazing. They literally spent 30 minutes with me trying to get a price down so I could afford it and still get the work done. They were extremely well mannered and even engaging to talk to. This is literally the best car repair experience I have ever had.
The only thing I can say is WOW! AND THANK GOD! for Susan!!!! I dont know what I would of done if I would of went back down the street to the OTHER break guys! BRIAN AND SUSAN went above and beyond the call of customer service! I couldnt of afforded it all but they found discounts to get me back on the road! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart!
Pep Boys patched a tire on my car a few months ago. Tire was fine until 8/2/2021. PSI was 25 when I started my car. It was 17 when I made it to Pep Boys at 5820 Jimmy Carter Blvd. Susan informed me that a technician was not available to check my tire. I went to Tire Plus and they immediately serviced me. The manager at Tires Plus informed me that my tire was a blow out waiting to happen because Pep Boys patched my tire outside of the State regulated area. I called Pep Boys back to inform them of their error. Susan stated that if I allowed someone else to service my car, they wouldn’t be able to help me. She suggested that I get it towed to Pep Boys at $69. I bought a tire from Tires Plus because the tire that Pep Boys patched was undriveable due to losing air rapidly. I was only offered a refund of the patch amount and given a free oil change. Susan and John both admitted that my tire should’ve never been patched in that area. Pep Boys has always been my place of service however after the lack of care I was shown, I will be seeking more thorough vehicle maintenance elsewhere.
Susan was awesome in handling my truck and helped me in getting back on the road. Would highly recommend this location for treating you fair and getting a good price!
First time worst experience. Will never return nor recommend to others. Customer service is worst in store and on the phone too. They dont listen to you and make faces and lie to their customers. Will find new place next time. Their customer support also not helpful on the phone. I wish I could give this place a 0star.
Went for ac repair they wanted to charge me over 400. Diagnostic was $55. I declined repair and went to repair myself and it was not the issue. The issue was the drain was clogged and when I arrived I told them it was a clogged drained but they said they had to do their own diagnostic. I replaced the air filter the day before and another one of the “problems “ was that I need to replace air filter. They did not inspect my vehicle fully otherwise it would not have been misdiagnosed
Brian, Susan, Lin(best machanic) gave outstanding service and searched high and low to find scarce parts. Thank you all 😁
Susan was amazing took care of me and my car just right. Thanks will definitely be coming back. The manager Brian was also a lot of help thanks guys!!!!
I came over today to get my flat tire fixed and I am still thinking why I need to pay for those KIND OF people ( the receptionist names Susan and the the Vietnamese tattoo guy which is known as assistant manager) to get NOTHING.Their behavior was rude and unprofessional .They doesn’t want to give customers services or even communicate with, you have to pay as much as you have no matter you get service or not. But the technicians was nice and I have no matter with him. He just did what they told him to do. Especially the Vietnamese guy, I don’t know if you’re either a manager or owner; no matter who you are, with that attitude, you don’t deserve to be in the management of the business. Thanks.
I can’t believe the incredible service I received from this location! Quick! Direct! Non-persuasive! Susan rocked and made sure I got what I needed and what I could afford! She wasn’t pushy, but she was honest about the services that assured my safety. Susan made sure I can drive safely again. Thanks to Susan and the guys for getting me back on the road!
Came for a pre-purchase inspection and they were very professional and speedy! Susan was very knowledgeable and super sweet. I’ll be coming back for any future car work!
Yep...this place is busy! Call ahead and make an appointment if possible because...yep, this place is busy! But that isnt to say that they dont take care of their customers. John and Susan are both rock stars. They handle it all...and that means rude peope (I saw at least 4 of them today) who havent had work done, customers who want work done faster than possible and people who just arent happy with the wait or price. Me...I called ahead and spoke with Susan. She was able to get my car inspected and fixed today despite having to order parts in from several places. Johnny, the technician, was just fantastic. He walked me through what he was going to do while installing the new tie rods and lower control arms. He also pointed out issues from the last shop that worked on my car. He added thread lock the the caliper bolts, new copper washers to the brake hoses that attach to the calipers because they were leaking and brake springs to keep the pads from staying in contact with the rotor. Now my car drives like new. If you need work done, their prices are fair, they do good work and I have had a few good experiences here. But...they are busy!!! Call ahead if possible!
This place is worthless went to get new tires on my truck and the lady at the front desk told me it wasnt worth their time to do just two of my tires. This place just tries to milk every penny out of you they can. Highly recommend going anywhere else.
David & Susan was very knowledgeable and friendly my car was taken care of in a timely manner!! Thank you all!!!
If I can, I would give them a negative star, due to their incompetence and lack of professionalism. I took my car in the beginning of the year due to my engine check light. After waiting all morning Susan tells me it was the INTAKE MANIFOLD and need it to be changed. Great! she gives me the quote (1,200). I go on my way and wait for their call so I can pick up my car when is ready. I do get a call but it was due to a change on the quote, because she gave me the wrong one. Thats a start, then came the second phone call, the car will not be ready that day. She would call me in the morning the next day with updates. Right!, I waited and waited and no call. I ended up calling and calling and finally Susan says it would be ready by 4 p.m. I pick up my car, drive it for 5 MINUTES and the ENGINE LIGHT appears. I call back and they tell me to bring the car back. After bringing the car back they tell me that a technician had to check the car and I had to bring the car on his convenience. In the mean time Im driving my car with the engine light on. I bring the car so the tech can diagnose it and says that what need it to be changed was the SELENOID and CONNECTOR. My husband had already changed the selenoid, but Susan insisted that it need to be replaced. So as soon as we were told this, we told them to put back the old intake manifold because it was nothing wrong with it after all. After telling them to replace it with the old one, they gave us a hard time in regards to refunding our money, trying to speak to a so called Manager, who was also a liar and unprofessional. We had no other choice but to reach up to coorporate and make a complaint. Coorporate did work with us but it was not enough, so to this I do not recommend this place at all.
The worst customer service experience ever
Pep supposedly fix my car for $300. The car has continued to have the same exact problem I had when I took it to them. When I took it back the 2nd time I was told they couldnt find anything wrong. Car continues to have the same problem but they cant get to me for a week. Management has changed and Im upset to say the least.
Over the course of two visits one month apart I purchased two tires and quite a bit of service from this location, totaling about $1,200. 2 months later one of the tires blows out with no sign at all of any punctures or low tire pressure damage. I dropped the tire off at this location and the person checking me in agreed and said they would take care of the tire. After a week was no follow-up I came back by the store, only to find my tire had not been replaced and had been sitting neglected. The female I spoke with this time around assured me the work will get done. Another week goes by with no contact so I come by again. The tire is ready and Im presented with a bill for $260. I just agree with the service manager and offer to show him that the tire had no signs of outside road hazard damage, but unfortunately the employee that I spoke with at the last visit did not save the old tire and she has since been fired. So I have no way to show them the evidence. The service manager offered me a $50 discount which I found unacceptable. Im taking this up with District management.
I ordered an item online that was $16.00 cheaper than Autozone that didnt have the item in stock. I called Pep Boys two days after placing the order and Susan told me that she would call me as soon as it came in. I received both a call and an email that my item was ready for in store pickup three hours after I placed the call. Susan was knowledgeable and professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Pep Boys is my go to store for auto parts!
This place is top notch and I have full trust in them! Always friendly and helpful and do a fantastic job! Feel very blessed to have an auto service location that I can depend on. They have serviced my vehicle for four years and never a problem. You guys are awesome! Thank you!!
Excellent attention and they are very friendly, the waiting time was short and the prices are very affordable, I would return if necessary
Terrible service the staff sits and jokes and laughs in the main room when people need vehicle repairs
Excellent placeQuick serviceGreat customer service
Avoid this place as if your life depends on it. Prices are outrageous, service is poor, they promise you one thing and deliver nothing. If I could give them a negative star rating, I would. Unless you know exactly what is wrong with your car, you’re leaving it in the hands of a con artist that knows you need your car road worthy but sell you up on just about everything that is under the hood needs repair. Absolutely atrocious service.
Had a great experience. I called and spoke with Susan and I was very impressed with her customer service. She went above and beyond to help find me a set of tires while double and triple checking to see if the tires were in stock.
Bad business here and the manager is unprofessional!!! Go to the other location please!! Front desk lady is also rude af
Susan is great!
Susan was great in getting my car serviced quickly and efficiently. Thanks so much to the entire staff working to fix my issue in a timely manner.
Great service! Very kind and helpful. Will be back.
Awesome business, Mr. Luis and Alfonso were amazing, honest and trustworthy. Thank you for not trying to run a fast one on a female customer.
I have never had a anyone less interested in assisting a long time customer. If I could rate them a ZERO I would!!! Last dime from me. See you at Tires Plus for the $1500 new set of tires for my truck!!!
Went there mechanic overslept didnt get tire patched when they opened.
Wouldnt patch tire
They do a good job and a reasonable price.I would like to see them and others use a paper floor mat. I have cleaned black foot prints off mine for the last time! Common sense seems to be lost with this generation.
Very polite people here.Prices are high but you get what you pay for
Out of everyone I spoke to in the store, Chris, the assistant manager, went above and beyond to assist me in the most professional manner. With his patience and professionalism I was able to have my issues addressed in a timely manner. even though I could not get an issue resolved at the store he did recommend me a sister store nearby and because of this I will come back and work with Chris and Chris alone the next time I have an issue with my vehicle . Thank you Chris!
Service is bad. Unprofessional staff at all times and any day. Pepboys is the worst company for a oil change. I got my oil changed on 12/13/20 and at 10:09am. The manager on duty Luis had attitude because I wanted oil change and one tire. I got oil change and went to professional shop for tires.
Great service and very knowledgeable. See John ... he will get the guys to hook you right on up. Their personality is friendly and inviting. The waiting area has free coffee ... nice size flat screen tv, and cellphone charging sitting area. Very adult and child friendly.
I was travelling to Atlanta while I was on 85 south, my car started running funny, and overheated while I was on the express way right before the Jimmy Carter exit. I pulled the car off of the exit and ended up at Pep Boys, Jimmy Carter store. I went into the service center and I was greeted by John, and he assured me that they would take a look at my car, give me an estimate, and could do the work at that time if I wanted them to. John gave me the estimate, and gave me some good advice on what repairs were needed. They fixed my car in a timely fashion and helped me get on my way. John and his guys were very professional and helpful, and gave me knowledge that I had not had before getting to their store. I would highly recommend this shop and store to anyone looking for good, clean, fair and honest work done on your car. They will do a great job like they did for me.
Susan had me at hello! From the phone call to seeing her in person. She stopped immediately what she was doing and assisted with the best customer service I’ve had at a auto shop. Thank you!!!!!
I came here to get 4 new tires for my car. I called different companies to shop for prices. This location had more to choose from and better prices. John aka Thomas (Manager) was extremely helpful. He was able to answer all my question and was honest with me. Trust me, you want to go here to get your tires. He will beat ANY price. Just call and ask him for yourself. Employees had great customer service as well. I will be recommending this location to all of my friends and family.
I originally scheduled an appt. today at the 4148 Pep Boys on Jimmy Carter, BUT apparently even when you make an appt they still make you wait hours to be seen, so I called this location last minute to fix my AC unit and they were able to start on it the minute I got there 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 great service! great timing! very knowledgeable! I think this is my go to center now . Thanks Guys!!
Great experience!! Very helpful team!
Great place to get a tire replaced. The guy there was honest and direct. The tire I had ordered was not found so he found an equivalent tire to help stay with in the same price I had online. Once this was found, it was fast and done. I paid and I was back on the road.
I bought an item from pep boys store and was told to go next door to get it put onto my car. The counter had a woman who was just so disrespectful. Everything I said she just repeated to me with an attitude and as I walked away saying farewell she just mimicked me with an nasty tone. I don’t recommend anyone spend money here. I don’t even want to mention that I’m black.
Stopped for oil change. Fast service, great service writer and fair price. Really appreciated how quickly they managed the work.. I do use the for other automotive work and have not been disappointed. I do recommend.
I live at this place lol...the service is great! Johnny the manager will get your car back up and running with little to no wait. The whole team is amazing and outstanding customer service. Thanks guys for dealing with me crying about my car every other day😂
Came to get things for an oil change, everything was easy to find and was able to get a few extra things i needed with the help of the employee, they didnt have any baskets for me to carry my things although its fair to say that it was new years eve so they may have just put them away as they were ready to close early. Still a good help nonetheless as far as costumer service goes
We experienced a flat tire on I-85 Friday after Thanksgiving. Fortunately, these guys were open and did a great job, quickly replaced the tire and got us on our way back home to North Carolina. Prompt courteous service, very fair price. Could not be happier.
Amazing staff was helpful in providing just what I needed. I was able to get an extremely fast and effective oil change and also getting the tire rotation that the manager Jaime recommended and explained to me why it was needed
Ive gone to this location numerous times, typically for oil changes or to get a tire repaired. I generally go early in the morning and wait, and the employees give me fairly accurate times of when my car will be ready. I recently purchased a new vehicle (new to me, but purchased used) that had not yet had its first oil change. I decided to come back to this location for the oil change, but this time made an appointment for 8 a.m. I ended up arriving around 7:45, and several other people already had arrived at the shop and were waiting on their vehicles. Because I made an appointment, however, Pep Boys honored my appointment and placed me ahead of the walk-ins. Thomas (who I believe is the manager) was very friendly and helpful. I certainly will return again.
Dont bother making an appointment youre still going to wait 3 hours before they can see you.
My experience in your Pep Boys store Jimmy Carter Blvd was amazing. I needed a replacement tire for flat tire that occurred while out of town. All store in the nearby area closed at 7:00pm . I was traveling late with family. Your store hours of operation was Convenient .Due to emergency (flat tire) and weather conditions to travel on highway back to Alabama. I needed tire replacement immediately. The reps was helpful and courtesy. The service provided was excellent. I will continue my future auto services at Pep boys and recommend service to friends and family in the future.
I have a car that had massive electrical problems and now I was down to one relay. I went to Advanced Auto and they looked it up and sold me the wrong one. When I finally tried to put it in I realized it was the wrong one. I went back and they said the right one was 50$ so I have put off getting it for months. Today sitting in traffic I saw a gentleman out side helping a female customer with her car so I pulled in and asked about the relay. The guy that worked there pulled it up but it was a 3 prong instead of a 4 prong. He told me he would go outside and try to see if it fit and said the 3 prong would work if it was the right fit and it did. Oh great now I have to work out 50$ but I couldnt put it off any longer. So I went back inside to pay and to my surprise is was 15$. I will always go to this Pep Boys because this guy knew what he was talking about and was very knowledgeable about what I needed. So go see Marlon because no matter what you need he will make sure its the right fit. Couldnt of asked for better customer service!
Slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Made an appointment for 3 pm. Got there 10 minutes early. When someone finally came to the counter they didnt speak. But helped someone else. Didnt even touch my car till 4 pm.So Ive been waiting for an hour for an oil change. And its still not done. They should stop taking appointments. This is ridiculous.I dont recommend em
A new year and new competition means that there are lots of places that can fix your car. However, I wouldnt trust anyone other than David and Maria. These two give a new meaning to customer service excellence. I have a fleet of trucks and Pep Boys always Services them in a very timely manner. Thank you for all you do!
I actually had an amazing customer service experience recently with this Pep Boys location. My daughter, son, and I were traveling from South Carolina to Florida when we experienced a blow out on I-85. As you can imagine with the traffic in Atlanta this was a trying situation to get the tire changed on the side of the rode. Once we completed the tire change I had to search for a place to purchase a new tire. I came across this Pep Boy on Jimmy Carter Blvd. The customer service I received was phenomenal! Specifically Retanza Grier went above and beyond in helping us in our difficult situation. Ms. Grier was compassionate and understanding and worked efficiently to get me and my children back on the road safely. Also, the service technician named Luck explained thoroughly what had happened to the tire and even rotated my other tires to compensate for the wear they were experiencing through an uneven balance. Repeatedly both employees expressed to me how they had children of their own and how concerned they were that my children and I got to our destiny in Florida safely. The level of service they gave is rarely seen in our society today. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a personal sense of customer service. My family and I thank you Pep Boys!
I stopped here the other day because my add engine oil light came on. Honestly I would normally get my husband to help me with that but he was out of town. I drove to Pep Boys and checked the oil and it was very low. I went inside and Ali could not have been more helpful. He made sure that I got the synthetic oil that I needed and not the stuff I originally picked up and brought to the cash register. I had also picked up a funnel and he helped me exchange it for the right one for my vehicle. Ali also went outside to my car with me and help me get the oil cap off and then talked me through putting oil in my car. He was very concerned about the price I was paying and letting me know that the items he was substituting were the right items and it was not about price. The cost was minimal but the help was priceless. Well done Pep Boys!
My AC stopped working properly a few days ago and after seeing on their website “if you’re not sure what’s wrong, come in for a free check” I decided to make an appointment at the Norcross, GA location. I went in and spoke to the gentlemen at the front desk and told him I was here for an 11 am AC check up appointment. He immediately said he’s only got two mechanics in today and that the free one will tell me nothing and I need to get the $59.99 package. I told him that the website says they offer free visual inspections and he proceeded to once again tell me that it won’t do me any good and I need to get the $59.99 package. He didn’t seem very interested in helping me at all and he made it very clear that the visual inspection that they offer for free was not worth his or his mechanic’s time. I thanked him for his time and walked out. I would’ve been more than happy to pay whatever I needed to, had a little customer service been shown. If nothing was clear and obvious after the free inspections, THEN go over paid options with me that you feel would help.I’m obviously there to have it fixed completely, no matter the cost but a little customer service in the beginning would’ve been nice. I’m almost certain he assumed I was there for a free inspection and thats it and it obviously was not worth his or this locations time. This was my first and definitely last time at a pep boys and my business will be taken to an establishment that actually wants it.
Joe and Luis are best in the world..... they made me feel comfortable they were very knowledgeable and there customer service was out of this world.... you dont find customer service like that anymore. I will tell all my friends to go see Luis and joe. Great job guys
My car was towed to the shop, on one of their busiest days of the year. Unfortunately my parts werent available and they had to order them. Id already waited 4 hours before they told me that. I came back the next day and waited another 7 hrs before my car was finished, but I still have to give them the highest rating possible. The team made sure I was comfortable, the manager (Don) came in on his day off to make sure my car had everything it needed, Markas was very helpful, David is my favorite mechanic and Hazel remained calm - while doing her best to make sure I was happy when I left. So despite the crazy long wait and basically feeling like an employee, I was grateful for their hospitality and professionalism.I will definitely send everyone I meet their way and plan to even show my gratitude.THANK YOU ALL!!!!
Because of your prices, people learn to fix their cars at home. A simple tire change is overpriced, not speaking of something serious like the engine. Theyll squeeze your wallet till you become a professional mechanic overnight.
Greg was amazing! He made sure I understood what was going on. He provided me with great customer service and it was quick too! Ill bring my car back every time.
Had scheduled an appointment at 8 am for car, but for some reason they only had one technician on duty and already had his hands full. Luckily they were able to get a look at my car and replace the part that needed, which I believe was the cause of my issues. Will hopefully go back if I need to but hopefully they will have worked out their number of techs they have working.
A few weeks ago, I was at this location due to my car overheating. My neighbor who went with me suggested that maybe I needed a water pump to since we could both see water under where it was located. They only replaced the thermostat. This cost me over $500. Then my car overheated again this weekend, I was unable to get into this location to get it fixed so took it to the location on Pleasant Hill and told me it was going to cost me over $600 to replace the water pump. Which I couldnt afford, so went back and picked up my car. Watch out ladies this place likes to majorly rip you off. I will never set foot in a pep boys location again!
How ironic is it for me to walk in for service and not be acknowledged by the older white woman working the desk that is complaining on the phone to a friend of hers about another customer writing a bad review about her customer service. Needless to say I walked out and went to O’Reileys. The reason for 3 stars is because of the black guy that works there, always takes care of us.
John is courteous and offered great customer service... went above and beyond to meet my needs.. Came in for an oil change, offered suggestions on type of oils and services.... all the guys here are great!
Im giving four stars because there was an issue when I got my car back from them the first time. I was very skeptical. However, the way the issue was handled was VERY PROFESSIONAL. Steven, the General Manager, called me personally to tell me honestly what happened the first time. He worked hard to make things right by calling me and keeping me in the loop about the parts, etc...He took care of the issue automatically which is what a great manager would do. Steven Stewart went above and beyond my expectations! The issue was corrected and my air conditioner has been running perfectly. I would definitely use them again!
My experience at Pep Boys at this particular location was nothing but five stars!!I purchased my first vehicle last year and I know I would need work with my vehicle. Someone suggested to go to Pep Boys for service. I called ahead to make sure my needs could be met there. It exceeds my expectations. Victor worked on my vehicle and Hazel handled my transactions. Both of them were gracious enough to explain to me (in a way I can comprehend) what the problem was, how they can fix it and gave me deals that would not break my pocket. I am thankful for their excellent service. I HIGHLY recommend this particular Pep Boys!!Thank you, Hazel and Victor!!!
Staff is amazing! I love the service they offered .. it was fast & most importantly well done! The guy who attended me was named Chris and I couldntve asked for someone better thank you so much. Oh and prices are a little high but its cool or whateva 🤔🙄😏
Good Service but not Cheap
Great customer service. Wait time was not long at all. Very nice waiting area. Better price offered than competition!!
I was so impressed. They called and payed for me to have a Lyft home and back so I didnt have to wait around for a few hours. Amazing customer service by John.
I wish I would have read the reviews before I was forced to stop at this location. I needed a brake inspection due to some shaking. I was asked to wait 2 hours until someone was able to look at my car. After 2 hours, I was told that no one was able to start my car. I had to walk back from the restaurant where I was going to finally eat and start my own car to drive it into their service bay. Only to be told that they werent going to be able to work on it until the next day.Funny thing is, I drive past this location every day. The next day during my carpool, I saw that my car was outside. Interesting since the five mechanics the day before couldnt get it to start to begin working on it, but they can start it to move it out of the bay. After calling and going back and forth with a crew member by the name of Credenza(?), I got a quote for almost $500 for a bunch of work I never asked for. After basically arguing with someone about getting the work done that I asked for, I had a manager call me to confirm that I dont want them to swap out my rotors, brake pads and whatnot. Please do not do business with this location. Parts, maybe. But there are numerous body/auto shops around that have employees who can actually be congenial with customers and can and will fix your car without charging an arm and a leg.
They guarantee their work and so far Ive had nothing but positive experiences with Pep Boys.
This was my very first experience with a Pep Boys parts store. On Wednesday I went into this Pep Boys for an O2 sensor socket. They only had 1 in stock and, just my luck, it was the wrong size. I asked if they could order one and they said “Absolutely. We’ll have it tomorrow for you”. Great! So, I went home. On Thursday, I dropped by around 5pm and asked about the O2 sensor socket. After waiting at the front desk for an hour, I was told they didn’t have it. So, I said, “No problem. Will it be here tomorrow?”. I was assured it would be in and that they would give me a call in the morning. I started to give the associate my phone number and he quickly stopped me to let me know it was on the order form. I said to him, “no one asked for it yesterday nor did I fill out any forms”. He rolled his eyes and gave me a sheet of paper so I could write down my contact info. This same associate also said that he would give me a call tomorrow morning when the part arrives. Well… it’s 2pm on Friday and I’ve not hear back from anyone. So, I called to follow-up. I was put on hold for a few moments and when the associate returned, he said “I think the part came in today, but nobody knows where it is”. Wow! These folks really don’t have it together! Good luck finding the socket, but I’ll just go somewhere else. After 3 days of upsets, I have zero confidence in this place. The bottom line is my time and efforts have been wasted for a total of 3 days - all because of irresponsible employees and unfulfilled promises regarding a $15 specialized tool that was out of stock. Keep the tool! I’ll be more than happy to go out of my way to a different parts store with competent employees who care about their customers and follow through with their undertakings.
2nd visit in 2 weeks.First Visit (11/15)Waited at the counter and was not greeted. Was left upfront until another guy came up and said he wasnt sure why the didnt help me. Needed an oil change but was told short staff and couldnt drop off.Second Visit (11/19)Was told the couldnt accept any other services due to short staff.I suggest someone at a higher level come rescue this store. Seems like its sinking very fast!
Always great service everytime I go in.
Great service here! I can usually always get an appointment either same or next day and the staff is usually pretty cool.I usually drop my car off and go eat but theyre pretty great about letting you know just how long it will be and how much.
I went to Pep Boys to get an oil change (with my own oil) and somehow the person didnt tighten the filter back all the way. I took it back and they drained the oil and refilled it with new Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic and I was on my way. There were no questions asked and the person I talked to took full ownership. Definitely recommend this location.
Terrible customer service. Service department is extremely rude. I left this location and called the pep boys down on the other end of Jimmy Carter for service and they were much more welcoming.
The worse experience ever. First me and my husband asked for the manager special synthetic, which was 99.99. A big mistake. When we came back to pick up my car they charged us 173 dollars. They charged me for 9 quarts of oil when my car only holds 8. Then they gave us a 30 dollar discount for a coupon. We paid 140 which is OK because I drive a Mercedes and new wipers,an air filter, and tire rotation was included with the special. Sounds like a great deal. When we look at the car none of those things had been done. The mechanic changed the oil and clocked out feeling secure with charging me 170 still. This will be my last trip to this pep boys
Excellent customer service. These guys are great and super friendly.
I never made it to this location. I called for a towing service and after navigating through their menu three times, I was told to pay an additional $70 for connection? This is in addition to the $60 hookup for tow.I was supposed to pay them for calling a separate company which would then charge me.Absolutely never going to a pep boys.
I had a flat tire right around the corner from this shop. I put on my spare and took the old tire here. Chris Swiney came outside and looked at it. There was a sideways nail in it and the inside of the tire was bald. I wanted him to just plug it. He told me that he would not be a good person to just try and plug it and send me on my way because it could put me in danger. We went inside and he quoted me for a new tire and then for 4 new tires. I was only going to purchase two because I thought they were really expensive. The price he gave me was the best I have ever received. I used to pay $350 per tire. He quoted me $79 per tire. When they took all of my tires off to replace the 2 worst ones they noticed all of them were bad. They found 7 nails in different tires! I ended up replacing all four tires for about $500. Saved me half of what I paid last time. The new manager there, Thomas Marshall was great too. He explained what the bald tires do to the care when Im driving and they did not try and screw me over. I will be referring everyone I know to them. If you need new tires these are the guys you want to get them from!
The advertised vehicle check up on their website is a scam. John from pep boys showed zero effort to help me fix what i can with my car. The engine diagnostics cost 99 dollars just to have them tell you whats wrong with your car and then they slap on more prices if your not experienced in the world of cars. My estimate was $668!! He could’ve just told me, “Hey i know you cant afford to fix your car today, and i dont want you to lose the fee waiver for if you opt to get it repaired the same day. How about i take off all the expensive parts, and replace your Air Filter and others things around to get value out of the one hundred dollars today.”I encourage everyone to learn how to fix their cars themselves. Its all on youtube. Think about it, you are very capable of learning how to replace the spark plugs in your car or change your own oil. I replaced my spark plugs with ease- the only hard part was figuring out the size of the socket to screw off the nut. Save money by DIY. Call up friends, make connections. A car scanner on amazon cost $99 and you can diagnose your car more times than one day!!!
We were in the middle of a very long trip when the tread came off the car trailer we were towing. It was past five, and we started to lose hope we would be able to find a place to help us. Service Manager David Anderson told us to come in and he would see what he could do. He personally changed both of the tires on the trailer and got us back on the road slightly after 6 p.m. He saved the vacation. Can’t say enough good about them.
Came here today because my tires and brake lights abs and traction. Were flashing while I was driving on 285 with my 9 yr old. It scared me since nothing happened to cause this and the lights stayed on. I was turned away and told to go to a pepboys down the road because he didnt have time. I told him I could wait I didnt mind I just needed to make sure I was safe to drive with my daughter and what would he tell his wife to do. Rep laughed and gave me the phone number and directions to the Pep boys down the street. I called see what happened in my next review...
Highly unprofessional was there for 3 hours for an oil change and an inspection which told me nothing about what was wrong only what might be
Took forever to do my oil change...but u feel more at ease... my other mechanic saw i had a new car and decided to double the price for the same car he charged far less before.. so i had to find someone else to go to... but i might go to the dodge dealership next time and take advantage of their coupons they keep mailing me lol
Always buy the road hazard on your Pep Boys Tire purchase. It was really nice to know that I could pop in to the JCB Pep Boys and get the nail pulled out of my tire, have it plugged, and all the tires rotated for $0.00!! They were pretty quick seeing that they were really busy.
The people here arent knowledgeable on cars sadly. And the manager Joe (I believe) was very rude to me. The mechanic kept telling me he needed a different part, and after 4 hours of going back and fourth it was determined that I had the right part to begin with. I wasnt even offered a discount on service for the long wait or their lack of knowledge displayed to me that day. I was very displeased that I gave them a chance and had to go through the redicule of the manager replying So!, when I expressed to him how long Id been waiting. I felt insulted. I really wanted to start bringing my car into Pep Boys more often but unfortunately due to this experience I wont be going to any Pep Boys ever again.PS. (Being kind and polite would have completely put my mind at ease about the extremely long wait)
I really had a wonderful experience at this location. Luis R. And D were extremely helpful in getting my tire changed and when a problem occurred they let me know immediately! Get here early!
I brought a truck that was gifted to me to this PepBoys location yesterday an hour before closing. I needed a new battery, a new tire, and an oil change. They got me in and took their time on my vehicle. They finished me up an hour after closing, and I appreciate the help and patience of all the staff present yesterday evening. This will always be my go to location whenever my vehicle needs something!
Tina was awesome, very helpful and friendly. She made me feel like she was actually glad I called and excited to help a me find a Distributor for my Acura
Love this place. Just its takes forever at check out, because they only have one guy. But atleast he is nice
Fast and honest service. The times I been to this location I explain my concern and the mananger actually take the time to look at my car and find what Im concerned about and fix it. No extra you need this and that. Great service.
These guys really saved us! Dealer told us wed be out $1100 and they couldnt get the part till Tuesday (on a Saturday.) Bought the parts at Advanced next door and brought them in. Pep Boys fixed the next day for less than $300! Made it to the wedding we were going to and back home (Jacksonville, Fl) for work on Monday.
They took advantage of my old man, wich hes gonna be 70 years old next year. And just because hes old they thought he was stupid. They charged him 729 dollars for labor and parts that was not needed and the problen wasnt fixed. And not only that but it was parts that my dad changed last year. The parts were new. The parts that they chaged are the parts that my dad put in new. So any ways we took it back because it wouldnt pass emmisions again. So tje mechanic said that it was the piston rings that needed to be changed. And i said to the manager that if the mechanic said that it was the piston rings then why are you charging us for labor, parts and warranty that was not needed. the manager said that they needed to change the parts because it was why the motor was misfiring and shaking. It was true that on the scanner reads that the motor was misfiring but the motor wasnt shaking. So i told the manager to see if this was true or not but the mechanic said in front of the manager and us that he changed the parts just to make sure that it wasnt the problem. When the manager heard it he was imbarrest. And said that he would only give back 499.00 and that was it. And i was like why. And he said because os new parts. And i said that the parts was not needed. And he keep refusing. So we took the money and filed a complaint. And they still dont call back. We filed a complaint to the district and regional manager, and nothing. If they would pay us back, then its forgiveable. But since my dad is old and didnt pay my dad back its a no no.To all the elderlies, watch out for these crooks that take advantage of senior citizens.
