Took my car to the Brake King after a referral and reading the reviews. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. I told them of reading the reviews and enjoyed reading their responses. Had all 4 brakes/rotors done. I was told $790 from Winners Choice on Mercury Blvd. Brake King was less than $400. I requested the parts back RECEIVED THEM. And the time for service, FASTER than I expected, it was less than 2&1/2 hours from the time I gave them the vehicle to completion.

I love Brake King! They helped me on the spot, fast and reliable with reasonable cost. I needed my brakes fixed and wow, they got to it faster than I could have hoped for. This is the second time I have had their assistance with a vehicle problem and all was GREAT the first time too. I really trust these guys, and I dont just trust lightly. I WILL BE BACK WHENEVER I NEED GOOD RELIABLE REASONABLE HELP!

Wow!!! A great experience from start to finish. They were able to provide an estimate over the phone an were willing to quickly observe and diagnose the presenting issue with muffler prior to placing order for parts on Wednesday. I chose Friday morning to return with my car at 8:30AM and they got me back on the road by 10 AM. I love how my car sounds now!!! Personal thanks to the mechanic who worked on my car...great job all around!!!

Great people, fair and reliable which is all we really want. I had paid a mobile mechanic to fix my fuel Pump so I wouldnt have to have car towed to a shop and tried to save money and it took the guy almost 2 weeks trying to get bolt BS and things like that he finally finished and I filled the tank up and gas came running out of the fuel pump so I had to miss more work to get it fixed right. Brake King got me a replacement pump through my warranty from the parts place and had them deliver it to them and installed. I had to wait a while to get the work done from brake King because everyone want to go to them but it was well worth the wait knowing its done right. I wish they were open on weekends.

Absolutely love The Brake King! They are reasonable and staff/mechanics are friendly. They dont take advantage of customers by telling them they need unnecessary repairs. Have been using this company for many many years! Highly recommend!

I have been coming to Brake king since I was a child and now me and my kids take our vehicles to brake king to get brake work done. They offer other services as well. I give Brake king 5 stars because never has anyone been anything short of very helpful and they will make right any problems that can occur sometimes if they have previously worked on your vehicle and it is within the grace period, and Ive seen them go beyond as well in some cases but long story short, I highly recommend Brake king to everyone! 👍

This place was going to charge me 900 dollars for front upper and lower control arms with alignment... this dont make no sense... yall customers be lying..talking about reasonable prices... lies lies and more lies..

I dropped my car off for an alignment at 10:15am. I asked the gentleman how long he thought it might be, and he proceeded to look back at their clipboards hanging on the wall (the clipboard identified cars to be worked on still I guess) and tell me it’ll be 3hrs on the alignment. I say okay, and decide to let them do the alignment. HOWEVER, Instead of it actually taking 3 hours, it’s 4:15pm (6hrs later) and my car still isn’t done. I won’t be coming back to this place.

Honestly is their virtue. Almost everyone knows that so they are incredibly busy. Theres cant be a better place for brake repair.!

This place is awesome! I was here to get new tail pipes on my truck because my have rusted off. I was greeted by friendly and helpful workers there. They took my truck in immediately, the mechanic came out told me the estimate, I gave him the okay for it and he went to work on it saying it would be a couple hours. It was done within an hour and some change and they did a fantastic job. Thank you guys so much!

I called up there to get an estimate on the crankshaft sensor I talked to the specialist he told me it would take a week + the price, even a manager told me it would take a week to install and I wanted to get some other work done I got a rental car for a week thinking it was gonna be done in a week I’ll call for check ups on my car they told me it will be done in another week so I rented a car for another week and then I’ll go up there and the only thing they done to my car was an alignment. Asked why no work done to my car they said cause ppl called out cause family member sick from the Covid and on vacation which is an excuse to me ask to speak to the manager he was the one that told me the estimate time and all he said I don’t know what to tell you and on top of that someone stole my charger out of radio in my car tried to call to tell them about it they are ignoring my calls worst service ever. I don’t understand why they told me to leave my car if they knew the Specialist was going on vacation. Also left my doors unlocked in that type of neighborhood! I wouldn’t have been so upset about the situation if they had the common courtesy to phone me and say they are behind on man power and gave me the option to go somewhere else since I was paying the rental out of pocket for them to only do a 79.99 job.So I took my car to Hornsby Tire Pros & Service Center they got the work done in two days and called me to keep updated about my car. So don’t waste your time with brake king like I did.

The clerk was rude, even snarling. I wondered if she were just in a bad mood or was it racial. The tech who had aligned my car said I needed new tires to correct its pulling to the right. I had just had new struts and breaks put in. Tires were bad before but car never pulled out of line before. We will see. I been a pretty regular customer for years. I hope Im not facing attitude again. Having worked 30byears as pharmacist, I know how mean people can be so I try to be respectful to everyone. Wish for the same.

Hello, I have been customer of Brake King for the past two years already. I honestly can say nothing but good things from all the services received to my three cars. From inspections, oil changes, breaks, suspension, etc. Most recently I brought my daughters car, a Volvo S60 04 for struts and shocks, the tech guy Steve was amazing, he gave me first an estimate and from there we discussed what would be the final figure because I asked to replace the sway bars and bushes too. Hey if you plan to bring your car dont forget they offer first in-first out; Be early as soon as possible. Because they are so good they are always busy busy. Came in for a alignment, not sure if they would be able to do it because of Covid-19. I was greeted professionally, not haggled about other unnecessary issues. Fixed my alignment fast and the cost was inexpensive compared to other shops because of the brand of my vehicle. I left feeling very pleased and confident. If other issues come up that I cant fix, take it to BRAKE KING on Jefferson Avenue Newport News.

Went there on monday Columbus day, was told they couldnt get to the car til Thursday,got it back this afternoon. Left second car for oil change and they already have work completed, Not here often, they are better at repairing cars at a lower price.

Visiting relatives and had brake and exhaust pipe issues. Was told I had to be there before they opened since first come / first served. Got in an already started line at 6:30 am. Repairs took awhile, but the parts used were name brand. Brakes w/ rotors lasted 40,000+ miles. No problems with exhaust, just needed sturdier hangars post repair for salt. Saved more than 50% over SE PA aftermarket prices. Very happy. Would like to start that business here. Its needed.

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Brake King for more than 5 years for oil changes, state inspection, tire rotation and balance and for brake service. We have even had a rebuilt alternator put in our 2007 Lexus 350 and the technicians always did a fantastic job. You tell them what is wrong, the technician inspect, and then they contact you with an estimate. Normally, your car is ready the same day. Thus, Brake King has great service, prices, and the technicians are very knowledgeable. There were a couple of times when they have to rework a problem. However, overall they offer quality work at good prices. And you can drop off your car prior to them opening.Some people prefer the dealer, but for me I prefer Brake King!! Good service, great prices, and quality technicians.

The service is great however I use to frequent when living in the area 11 yrs ago. Today was different when being the 2nd to arrive before opening only to be there over 4 hours. Overnight work should be delayed if Im sitting waiting for my car. My drive was over 30 minutes... Yes I would return if only to be guaranteed a shorter wait time. Once again they save the day. Another place told me I needed new rotors & pads front & back at $778. I got it to Brake King & the only problem ended up being was pads & resurfacing on the back. They just saved me about $590. Very informative & great work as usual.

I just left Brake King, I have been going there for 15 plus years and never had a complaint about the work that they have done on any of my cars. They dont tell you that your car needs work if it doesnt. Thanks, Brake King for being the company that you are. I am a customer for life as long as you keep doing what you are doing.

My husband took an immaculate truck in for new brakes in Feb and when we got it back it had property damage on it consistent with a bay door or car lift. Brake King took no responsibility and didn’t even offer an apology. The integrity of being a good business is definitely not practiced. I’m sure we aren’t the first customer to walk away with a bad taste. Brake King should of manned up and done the right thing.

The check engine light for my Mercedes came on and I had it checked out at two other service shops. Both quoted the repairs to be over a $1000.My neighbor recommended Brake King and after dropping it off, I received a call back within 3 hours to let me know that all it needed was a $15 fuse!!! At pep boys it probably would of cost me $1000 instead it cost $826 to replace my tie rod ends, a tie rod, and I beam bushings. A very good business.

I came in for a oil change when I drove off I noticed my axle was sounding funny as I pressed on my brakes so I figured it’s was my brakes kind of thought it was ironic I went to “Brake King” for a oil change and before I leave the parking lot I noticed something wrong with my brakes. Then I later realized it wasn’t my brakes I had a tear in my CV boot and brake king took no responsibility for it saying “how can an oil change mess up a CV boot” the answer is if it was deliberately done. Nice try though brake king.

Went here for an oil change a few weeks ago because of my oil drain plug being stripped. Im normally a DIY person when it comes to cars, but these guys went above and beyond my expectations and my truck is running better than ever. They topped off all of my fluids and checked out any other additional issues and all without breaking the bank. Definitely a thumbs up!
