Thinking a large and sophisticated company would recognize the importance of maintaining accurate online info, I was here at 5:50PM. The sign on the window says you close at 5:00. BTW 3 others showed up while I typed this.Youd pounce and gladly penalize me if Im late. Yet you dont respect my time!

Reasons why you should never choose Optimum1. LiersI was going to pay $51per month but ended up paying $64 going to $76 per month.2.poor internet service. At times I could get buffering when watching3.The guy who cam to.install ended up cutting my neighbors line .I did not know unyil.my newborn knocked on my door asking m if I installed new services.Then he told me his line is disconnected.With that and manymore, I cancelled their services
If you are going to get just mobile service be prepared with aspirin and a lot of days to keep returning to store. In my opinion do not port here. The representatives are great the tools they work with limits their ability to truly fix mobile issues. My rep gets a 10 of 10. The service that I was only able to get back up and running via constant calls 2.
What a bombshell I return the equipment from my old address, get new one to my new address but the lady did not enter it in the system that I returned it now they said am owing $180 for my previous account

Long wait times outside and inside. Eight service windows, only 2 open at 11:30 am on a Wednesday. 2 other females sitting by service windows but 1 opening boxes, another opening envelopes. Security guard’s only job was handling almost static traffic, not even doing temperature checks before letting customers inside! Temp checks were done before you approached service representative BEHIND tall glass windows (duh!). One other employee in charge of wiping off window areas after a customer had been served. SUGGESTIONS: (1) Fire cleaning lady. (2) Teach guard to check temperature BEFORE letting customers in.(3) Add clean-up of used areas to guard’s jobs.(4) Make sure employees open up service windows as needed. Bad optics and irate customers result when service is slow. The ONE AND ONLY SAVING GRACE in this whole place is Jocasta, who helped me. She was professional, experienced, efficient and friendly. Thank you, Jocasta.

Poor infrastructure and service! You pay for channels that are always unavailable. Funny how they cannot tell if your channels dont work but can tell if you not suppose to have cable! Do not recommend at all! Dont care if they offer their substandard services for free!

The can’t stop lying besides their bad services. Promised gift cards if you sign up and it’s been 8 months no gift card received. Customer service keep lying about the gift cards arriving in the mail in two weeks and when you requested speak to a supervisor you are placed on hold and then they drop your call…. Have been at this Optimum Store for two days in a row because some issues with my carrier and the service was outstanding, the three girls at the counter were nothing but truly professional since the time anyone approach them, they are always willing to help you with any kind of problem related with optimum service or Altice in general, I was son impress the knowledge and the ability to resolve the issues I had both days, great job girls!, Thank you
Optimum Newark’s are pretty much sub standard even when paying for their premium 1gig internet speed. The speed test will not read beyond 200 mbits and even at their tech center the max speed reading is 500 mbits so why advertise 1gig when it’s not possible over WiFi. Secondly after paying for 1 gig speed Speed test is constantly about 100 mbits even after several complaints to their customer service center and a tech visit. They are just not ready to do meaningful business. The worst part is that their internet connection is not steady. Every night I have to reset it. They are just lucky they enjoy a monopoly in Newark. An example of Bad deals city councils make. Maybe someone is getting paid. They are far behind other providers eg VZW and Comcast. Very disappointed.
I understand that due to Covid-19 lines outside stores tend to get longer than usual.I was waiting for an hour outside the store until I gave up and left.It would be nice to be able to make appointments by phone or online as well.
Pretty quick service
I ordered a new service and Altice SIM card. They give me an appointment after 3 days but no one show up. I called 5 times and every-time I called they didn’t provide any solution they just hanging up the phone so I have to keep calling back to cancel my order and finally after hours of calling they said they will refund my money and I am still waiting. The worse service ever. Cannot reach anyone and when you do they have heavy accents. Calls to service are international. To cancel a service, a regular agent cant help you, you are transferred to another department and put on hold. I was on hold for 50 minutes trying to cancel a premium channel. it hasnt been canceled yet as I couldnt wait any longer on the phobne. DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE. Gong back to verizon.
Optimum’s service has been the WORST! The service at the location is good, but the call centers for Altice and optimum is HORRIBLE! I’ve never had so many issues with this company as much as I do now. Very disappointing after years of service.

Slow slow slow... i spent 2 hours in a line just to return a cable box? Unreal. They have all these cash windows but only 2 or 3 people working there.. yall gotta do better..
When we moved we wanted to keep our service but after the faulty internet, 3 different guys coming out to try and fix and nothing being solved, we cancelled. Now we are being charged for service instillation (which is free since we already had Optimum- and which the guys didn’t actually do anything) and when we went to pay it they had sent it to a collections agency without informing us. We found the whole process and the company to be incredibly frustrating and poorly run. We have switched to Fios and recommend that you do too.
Its never not a long line. I waited in line for an hour just to get in the place then had to wait another 20 minutes or so in line once inside. The only reason why I am giving two stars and not one star is because the rep that helped me seemed nice.

I recently ordered optimum to be installed to the location I’m moving and when I received the appointment confirmation my address was incorrect.I’ve called multiple to update my address which they still don’t seem to get correct and recently the appointment date is different on their end and not what I’ve received on their confirmation. They haven’t installed anything yet and it’s horrible!!!

Technician #623 put in the fraudulent ticket concerning my appointment, he never arrived but said that when he came we didn’t have the COD which is a fraudulent claim. They are paying these guys who are driving near a location so they can be tracked in the area but they don’t even get out of the truck. I’m very upset by this as it affects my child’s education and my work! If you aren’t going to work find a new job!!! This technician should be fired... that’s right fired.. he’s making it so I can’t do my job and my daughter can’t do her school work. Said thing is I bet the review will only receive one of those generic responses from customer service.
Back in Nov, I called the 186 Market St, Newark location to see if i stop by to switch my phone service to Altice One and was told yes. When I got there, they had no phones. Told me to go to the Elizabeth store so I did and got a new phone and new service. A month later my phone wasnt ringing so I stopped by the Market St store to troubleshoot it. A rep and manager tried for maybe 3 min each then said go to the Elizabeth store as I bought it from there. Once there, I told the manager i wasnt leaving without a working phone so they called tech support and after an hour and a half, reset my phone and it worked. She was as upset as myself that the manager at the Market Street store didnt offer an explanation just let me leave. Everybody there needs training, worst customer service ever.
Unfortunately the costumer service over the phone and online is very poor. I have had issues with getting my refund on multiple accounts. I have had multiple accounts with them due to lack of customer service issues that they did not know how to resolve my problems when moving from one home to another that they would just create new accounts for me. Make sure you are not being changed for cable as well. I had issues were my account was being changed with cable when all I requested was internet. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a service provider.

No stars. Closed my account paid account in full and took 159.24 out of my checking account and will not refund me my money. Called corporate office say updating the system on Monday morning during pandemic and parents are working from home and children having virtual classes.

Place is horrible when I go to pay my bill. The wait is hour or longer than they have employees going to lunch leaving customers to wait longer. I will mail my payment or do it by phone They want payments every month but Optimum services stink.
Customer service, as I understand it, doesnt exist at this location. The line was absurdly long, which makes sense as there were only 4 available windows open. While I was waiting, that number declined to 3, then 2. This happened while some 35 customers were waiting for service. Worst showing at this place since Ive been a subscriber.

Service and customer services is really bad. Wait time and nonresponsive, no integrity in their customer service. This is my first time ever using them and last. Total wait time 3 plus hrs and still have NO Service but when I choose to go to Sales department it was a 2min wait and they were very nice.

Place is so unorganized small and extremely uncomfortable. If you decide to come by all means be ready for a long wait. I have been online 30 minutes. There is 8 windows and 4 of them opened. Line is so long that people coming in are waiting outside. Team lead was asked to come to the window by the clerks and customers waiting another 20 minutes. I placed one star because no star is not an option.

Just switched to optimum today and we regret it so much!!! The internet keeps disconnecting when we turn TVs on. Voice command on remotes works very poorly...we have called customer service 3 TIMES TODAY...calling again now and they have us on hold for the last 20 minutes. I hope we can switch back to our old cable provider. Very horrible experience.

After being straight up denied a new box at Elizabeth location, went to this location. Arrive home to find out the box we were given from this location doesn’t even work. Error message on the box and clear damage from being dropped.
Quick customer service. In and out within 10 mintes. Friendly agent and gifted me with important information while i was there to exchange my modem.

Optimum I believe if you have eight Windows you should have eight employees occupying those windows so the flow should go a lot quicker

HORRIBLE!!!!!! I called Customer Service on 3 occasions in the same day. Neither of the representative could assist me relative to the nature of my call. In fact the first 2 reps kept me on the phone for 15 minutes and then transferred me to a music playing line which was indicative of them hanging up!!!! OMG... My 3rd attempt, I asked immediately to speak with a SUPERVISOR.. .she also transferred my call to a music playing line...First of all their ENGLISH was terrible...….I guess my next attempt and getting my issue resolved will be through the corporate office!!!!!!! I WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PROVIDER!!!!!!!! WTF....
In and out quick service but stay away on the first of the month to around the 5th thats when everyone usually pays their bill and its busy. Its a small space so thats about it but good service overall.

Had the internet for some years paid my bill in full decided to upgrade with the cable and home phone was very disappointed i left my cable company I had to go with them got a bill for 400$ for one month which they just plugged in three boxes because i had cable when they came just switched over and to get that bill i almost had a stroke really i called customer service to discuss and dispute was hanged up on called back the lady say someone will call me still waiting for the call also i gave them 200$ while waiting for the dispute they cut my service off and also i referred the tenants live downstairs from me Optimum came to give them internet service and cross wired mines in the kitchen and send me a bill for 400$ they say we are being recorded i recorded them Im just waiting for them to send the bill to collection and put it on my credit report i talked to a lawyer already imma sue them and they wonder why people are getting firesticks it not fair how some companies think or take advantage out people and also they double taxes and hidden fees false advertising i am very disappointed with them and they say Im a valuable customer.

Optimun service is very bad and they charged even when they are the ones that did the mistakes. they did a bad installations and when they came to fixed they charge 80.00 for the repair. thieves, definitively looks for another cable company
