We dropped our car off on a Monday. Nine days later (as promised) we picked it up. We got a full paint job, original color. There were a few scratches and minor dents that were excellently repaired before painting. The new paint looks extremely good. We are completely satisfied, so far. A BIG thanks to Cheryl, Maacos estimator and contact person. When we dropped our car off we spoke to the young lady name Cheryl. She was extremely nice. She took her time and explained everything to us. The painting process and pricing options. Her conversations helped us decide on Maaco. We are satisfied with the paint job. I brought my vehicle in for an appointment at 9am on a friday morning and a lady finally came outside after multiple phone calls. She never introduced herself or anything, just what do you need? She took pictures of my truck and said an estimate should be completed by Monday and I should receive it via email. It is now wednesday and no email. I called multiple times and no answer and when she finally answered she couldnt find my paperwork. She told me she had a customer and she would find my paperwork and call me back. Ive yet to receive a phone call from her. I wouldnt recommend this facility for anything because obviously theyre well off without your business.

My dad is in town visiting and needed some work done to his truck, so immediately I recommended this location because of the company that owns it is excellent. I hate to say this but I am a bit embarrassed now that I did recommend it. I made an appointment and we arrived at the location and was surprised the door was locked. We then read a pretty weird /rude worded sign stating that “we have to call the office for them to come outside and demanded that NOONE KNOCK ON THIS OFFICE DOOR AGAIN. .Also we had to wait outside while the woman went in to get a price( I say woman because she never told us her name) she then came outside and started listing numbers to us and we had no clue where she got the numbers because it was INSANELY HIGH AND OVERPRICED. I can’t be specific as far as pricing because she wouldn’t even give us an estimate . To be honest I drove separate from my dad because we planned to leave it right then and there to have the work done. I am very sad to say I can’t ever recommend this place again regardless who owns it.

I recently purchased a 1984 Hurst Olds Cutlass that was in dire need of bodywork and fresh paint. Most body shops turned me away because they didn’t want to take on such a project. Luckily these guys stepped up to the plate.I had them replace the door hinge pins to fix the sagging doors, weld in a new striker plate, removed old rusted T-Top parts, weld in a new T-Top header, repair rust spots around the rear quarters and smooth out numerous imperfections all over the body and they even shaved the ugly antenna hole and hood molding to give it a custom look. Kudos to Mike the body guy for all his hard work.There were some new staff members this time around. The general manager (Nancy) really worked on my behalf to get all the work done and stay within my budget. Also, Chris went out of his way to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the results. All of the staff there were friendly and easy to communicate with.This is my second time using Maaco. Both times I have had an extremely positive experience. I definitely recommend this Maaco to others.

Never used Maaco in the past mostly due to negative things I’ve heard/read. I decided to give them a try, since I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and wanted a quick turn around. Although i had reservations, I can honestly say the quality far exceeded my expectations. The quality of the paint work and very minimal overspray proved to me that much care and pride went into the job. I will definitely use them again and recommend to others that want a quality job at an affordable price.

Sent request for paint repair estimate on website and made an appointment. Was told at appointment that I would receive an email with estimate. 2 weeks later and still no response. I also called and left a message with answering service and still no response. I guess they are really busy.

My friend recently had his 20 Civic left door replaced and than blended the whole left side in Modern Gray. The paint looks great and fitment looks even better. VERY pleased - been coming here for years ;)

Maaco paint job is GREAT.. (14 year old car.. never washed or waxed.. paint was in BAD shape) Customer Service was EXCELLENT. The shop manager, Chris, was a pleasure to deal with. I would happily recommend this shop on Dawson Drive in Newark, DE.

I can’t say anything positive about this place. I paid $1000 to get my car repainted BLUE. It was done a couple days later than manager Chris had said due to being short on staff during COVID.... which was not the upsetting part... my car came back DARK GREY despite showing Chris a light blue car during the estimate. He tells me after the fact that the paint book they use is not true to color after they already painted the car a color I was not satisfied with. I will not ever go to them again because they were so unprofessional and rude. The job it’s self was very well done and high quality but it was done wrong. Go somewhere else if you want it right the first time.

The Manager, Chris Sullivan, did an excellent job of explaining the options and gave me a great deal on painting the entire truck. It was there for a few days and when I picked it up it looked brand new. Overall, it was a flawless job at a great price.

You get what you pay for Macao can give you a basic paint job but you get basic work. I have used Macao before and got one of the lower cost paint jobs it wasn’t bad but when you pay the extra money you get a paint job that is just as good as any shop out there. 👍🏽

I own a used car lot and have been taking all of my cars here for a few months now. I have tried tested 7 other body shops in the area and these guys are by far the best. Super friendly staff and really good service. They have the quickest turn around time and every job comes out beautiful. I need my cars looking perfect so I can sell them and these are the guys I like to rely on for that. Have taken everything from totaled vehicles, fender benders, and vehicles in need of detailing to them and they’ve completed every job exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend this shop.

I had my moms car sanded by my mechanic and went to Macao on a Wednesday to ask the manager if they could paint my mom’s car and have it done by Friday. I told him I’ll give him $1100 and he said he could do it. I brought the car in Thursday at 7:30am and asked the manager what time he thinks it’ll be ready. His words exactly “we don’t like giving it back the same day we painted it”. I tell him that’s fine I only asked so I can find a ride to pickup the car. I leave the Maaco and later that SAME DAY, I get a call saying the car is done.They painted the car a different color, rushed the job, got paint on parts of the window and grill, didn’t paint the inside of the door handles, didn’t paint around the tires, and messed the taping up when the painted the side mirrors.Morale of the story don’t go here. I went and only the detailer helped me. The manager even said it’s the same color paint when is the door was a different shade than the outside. Never again.

I came for an estimate on 2002 Ford mustang, and the guy come outs and doesnt even have a professional way to talk to customer maybe he hates his job, So I ask him how much will he charge for paint and minor body work he tells me it will cost more than what you payed for that thing.. i mean its very rude to say that just because a car is old and needs paint you cant guess how much I payed for it, he gave a crazy price he said just for paint 3600 the lowest he probably just wanted me to leave thats why he said that, he stared at me and made me feel not welcomed..theres alot of shops out there that have reasonable prices, i would quote around this is not a good place to get your car painted..from the bottom of my heart I do not recommend them

Highly impressed with the paint job and refinishing of the hood of my car as well as all 4 doors. The price was reasonable considering with all the labor involved. Jerry and Everett were quite friendly, nice and very accommodating and kept me informed on the progress. Also a big thank you to Everett in taking me to and from work while my car was being serviced. He was very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him.. I truly recommend this business to everyone reading this review!

Maaco of Newark Delaware quickly and conveniently did some custom painting work I wanted done to our Jeep... And they did it at an extremely reasonable cost!!!Would recommend them to anyone considering having paint work done!!!

Would give them 0 stars if I could. Only reason for one star is was how fast they worked on it. Brought in my car to get a few dents and a scratch out, went to pick it up and the dents were still there, scratch still visible, hardly looked any different. They also tried to charge me almost double than what they quoted me. Brought it to another place and they said it looked like a 6 year old worked on it. Money went straight down the drain. Don’t recommend. Will never be going back

I had a car with a damaged front quarter panel which had to be replaced. Jerry estimated it and started the job the next Monday and had it completed by the end of the week (although I wasn’t able to pick it up until the following Tuesday). The panel was perfectly aligned and the paint match was flawless!In addition, the Macco price was about one half of the other two estimates!! Wow!Thank you Jerry!

From the moment I stepped in the office for an estimate, it was a positive experience. Nancy, was not only very pleasant and down to earth, she was quick to evaluate the damage and provide an accurate estimate, which never changed.The projected time for completion was accurate as well.The bodywork and paint was as good or better than I’ve seen previously at various dealerships body shops. I could not se where the damage was and all was blended perfectly. Gaps between the deck lid and quarters was just like factory.I would unhesitatingly recommend this Maaco location for all of your bodywork needs. Ask for Nancy as she is the best.

These guys are great. Reasonably priced and they really went the extra mile on our project, going into even more detail than than I had anticipated. Also, upon completion everyone stopped what they were doing to help me load it onto the trailer. nice people and good work.

MAACO took care of my car professionally and with exemplar quality and handling. The finished job was well done and well priced! Staff were friendly and engaged in all questions and comments I had. Even had the opportunity to go out on the shop floor and see progress when I stopped by for a visit. An excellent experience all around!

The person the gives the estimates is very rude and is definitely a D head... he was charging me 4300 for a paint job, anyone out there is cheaper than maaco

When I first got my car painted by them, they chipped the paint while using a high pressure power washer. Shows the quality of the paint job. Delayed it another week. After about a year, the paint started chipping more. Brought it back and they fixed it. They don’t have quality materials and never finish on time but they make up for it with service. When I initially picked my color for the paint, it wasn’t what I expected so they redid the whole car in the color I want. The color is now gorgeous. I highly suggest waxing a lot or using the high quality of paint.

Very friendly and easy to deal with! I was impressed with their attention to detail and the overall paint job looks great! I had them paint an older corvette with the rotating style headlight, and they painted the underside of the headlight bucket that is only visible when the lights are turned on. I didn’t ask or expect them to think of that so I appreciated the detail.

Hello! I have used this shop more than a hand full of times. Different vehicles. Always respect. Always quality work. I believe I am very picky and detailed. I look over things thoroughly because I want my moneys worth. No complaints. Great job from the estimator to body crew! I highly recommend and will continue to use this particular shop. Pretty good paint job was very quick and cheap

I needed MAACO services 3 times in the past 2 months. Each time, the work performed was excellent and for a very good price. Jerry is very personable...plus, he explained the work to be done and answered all of my questions. Three excellent experiences!

The initial encounter was pleasant and the people are very nice. I was promised my vehicle at a earlier date and it was pushed back two times due to difficulties which were not communicated properly. The paint job looks very good even though I’m still waiting for my emblems and far surpasses the last management. If this shop gets their communication to the customer on par with the way they paint it will be 5 stars all day.

Told my car would be done in a week. Was there for a month and is still there. They told me it would be done monday or tuesday so I went tuesday and they told me to come tomorrow. I went the next day and it still wasnt done. Also I asked for the door moldings to be removed multipule times before being painted and it was not removed and instead was painted over.

Jerry was very helpful and understanding. Worked with me and helped me get a good price even let me go the part so I didnt have to pay more. Would recommend and definitely go back

They went above my expectations! I needed to get my driver side door fixed from getting hit and part of that included painting the door handles. The paint on all 4 car door handles was coming off to the point where they were white so they painted them black (my car is red) and it looks awesome! The doors looks like new! I would definitely recommend them! The staff was courteous and it took exactly 5 days as they estimated to get it fixed. The estimate amount given was exactly what I paid.

The folks at Maaco Newark brought my 1998 GMC K1500 back to life and I couldn’t be happier.They were friendly, kind, and courteous to deal with from the moment I pulled in off the street for an estimate.They had their hands full cleaning up 21 years of truck use and abuse to the exterior.They took there time, fine tuned their work, and the end product is a clear example of the quality they sought to reach.Thanks to Jerry (Gerry... sorry, not sure which) and everyone down at Maaco Newark for me and my K1500. Now I can take the old girl out and she turns heads rather then stomachs.

We scheduled our 15 yr old red Prius for a paint job. Chris, the GM, took great care of us and our car. The sealcoat was peeling off the roof and there were lots of rock dings on the hood. We swanted thes areas well sanded and a decent coat of paint with a clear coat sealer. Yes, the car is old, but it still runs well. Now it looks awesome! The pric was affordable and the job was completed in 3 days. Thanks, Chris!

Wow! My car looks like it’s been resurrected from the dead. I had paint coming off the truck and the roof top on the side panels where the doors are located. Maaco has worked wonders with my Hyundai sonata Limted 2010. It looks like a brand new vehicle. Thanks so much!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I over payed for the paint. Clear coat is glossy in some areas and dull in others. Also has fish eyes all over. Paint is chipping off. They didnt sand my old paint so now the silver is showing through my black. I paid extra for the door jams but it wasnt painted under the rubber. The mirrors still have silver. Paint job is garbage. With all that I got the car back dirty and dusty. I watched Undercover Boss on Netflix and seen that the car must be detailed before the customer receives it. It was a total mess. I spent about 3 hours cleaning all the dust out. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.

We took our Lexus IS250 to have the bumper replaced last year. The Owner at the time didn’t match the bumper color properly with the color on the car. They ended up painting the entire car due to this. (no fault of ours) The car started to peel several places. When we took the car to get a fender replaced last week, Jerry the new owner was able to retrieve the original ticket but stated “he couldn’t do anything about the previous paint job because it wasn’t written on the ticket showing that it was done “. Not to mention Jerry charged $58 an hr to seal 2 emblem holes that was on the replaced fender. I have dealt with Maaco at that location for more than 25+ yrs and have never felt so insulted,humiliated,disrespected and taken advantage of by Jerry and Maaco! We have called Maaco Customer Service 3x already and have yet to receive a callback regarding our concern!

Outstanding paint job. Finish is glossy smooth, minor body work was well done, taping was perfect. I am 100% happy with the workmanship at a very low price.

They dont honor there price they advertise on the Maaco web site for 399.00 they said 800.00 . I just wanted paint job no body work. Will not send anyone that way.

Paint job was good. Overall, happy with the job. Main issue was that when I returned my car, it had a flat tire. They refused to take responsibility for their mistake. This happened to another person I know. If they return youre car with a flat, please dont let it slide like I did. Otherwise, their job was good.

MAACO did a great job repairing a dent in our SUV. They gave us a quick appointment, the cost was less than other estimates, the work was done quickly and it looks great. Kisha was very friendly and professional.

I was told it would take 2 to 3 days to repair my car with a 2 weeks advance notice. Gave a 3 weeks advance notice and left the car with them for 5 working days and told them when I would come back for it. When I returned to pick up the car they said we just did not get around to working on it. They also said they are too busy to call their customer if their car was not going to be ready and it was my responsibility to call them for a status report. They did not know when they would get to it either if I left it with them. With no apology, the manager, I think his name is Bill, said that since I did not have a ride back I should hop into my car and call back to make an appointment for later. Worst service I have ever encountered. I will not use them ever and will talk other people from using them too. They do not deserve even a single star but my review would not post at all if I did not give them at least 1 star.

I got a paint job at the Newark location back in February. I didnt go to use my sunroof till now with the nice weather and they painted my sunroof seal so now my sunroof wont open and I never have to get that fixed. My paint is bubbled and rusting when I never had rust problems before. If I could I would give them 0 stars. Highly disappointed in this work.

My husband and I had our BMW painted there in June. We picked out a different color than the factory color, and all was good. When we finally went to pick it up over a week later, it was not painted the color we requested, it they said it was painted the factory color but it looked different. They tried to offer a discount to take it that way. No thanks, we wanted it corrected. I was so upset we again had to leave the car for about another week.When we picked it up, we were pleased with the paint job color. Then when I reached home the center grill piece was missing, I back traced my steps, and nothing. My husband called MAACO and they acted like they had nothing to do with the piece falling off...They denied removing the center grill, but that was a lie, since there was the paint color underneath where the grill covers. My husband was so upset, MAACO hung the phone up on him. We have not heard back from them. We cut our losses since we didnt trust them to do anything else to our car. We got on eBay and got the piece at a good price . Place did give us a discount on messing up the paint job, but customer service and the guys painting the cars need better communication and accountability, since people are giving their cars up for a long period of time and expect the job to be completed right the first time.

Im very disappointed they didnt do my car like they were supposed to do it. They didnt put the color i asked for....and its unfinished work...and if i dont get any results ill be taking this matter further...
