I had a great experience at the store! Hailey was so wonderful, she even returned wine that I didn’t love for a new product. They always do tastings, it’s a great atmosphere and I feel like it’s a neighborhood friendly family. They’re also very knowledgeable about products and I know when I ask a question they’ll have an answer and a suggestion. Love this place.

I walk out of my way to visit this wine shop. Its large and clean with attentive staff and a huge selection at decent prices. Rose wines are my favorite and some of the best are right here. The selection of white wines in particular is extensive. I also like a cabernet once in a while

On top of that, the space is open and the easy going nature of the shop is characterized by the lazy couch and dog treats. Furthermore, they have a great selection of hard liquor and offer nice box wines for lounging in the park.

Awesome little boutique wine and spirts store. Great selection of artisanal wines that will surely satisfy even the most eclectic of palates. Great service and friendly. Definitely love the descriptions of each wine and the dotted labels identifying organic, biodynamic, and natural wines and then woman produced products. Also identifies those products that through their purchase contributes to a cause. That’s an ingesting feature and very personal and socially responsible.

By far my favorite wine shop in Manhattan. They offer a broad selection of wines for fancier dinner parties, picnics in the park and everything in between. The staff is incredibly knowledgable and approachable - literally they are my dogs favorite people in the Upper West Side. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming and give fantastic recommendations. The shop is really a community staple offering a wine club, events and art openings. They also carry Beer Barrel Bourbon from Michigans New Holland Brewery, which sealed the deal for me! Pop in and get to know them!

I ordered a gift through an online service and when the driver delivered the bottle, he told me that there was no tip for him because I added it through the website, therefore the “store keeps his tip”. When I called to ask about this the person said that it “sometimes happens.” This is completely unacceptable, I WILL NOT SHOP AGAIN FROM A PLACE THAT KEEPS THEIR EMPLOYEES TIPS!!

This place is the best. I buy whatever Im told to when its coming from the guy with the glasses, hes never wrong. Awesome craft whisky selection thats always changing. This is where I try things for the first time that I never knew about. Go in and ask for advice, you will be happy.

I came in to buy a bottle of wine to bring to a friend’s house. The selection here seems disappointingly “safe”: Chardonnay, Pinot noir, a few rose’s, blah blah. Nothing exciting. Absolutely everything ranging between $11 and $18 so who are we kidding?- they aren’t fine wines, guys. But I chose a wine and went to the counter to pay, only to be eclipsed once by a regular who needed advice on choosing a wine, a second time by another regular who wanted her bottle put into a bag. Customer service includes finishing with one person before you start helping someone else, guys. I’d rather walk ten blocks out of my way rather than shop here again.

Some of the best customer service on the west side. Very well known by the community and trusted. They know quality and at they will match the bang to your buck.

Small number of options at more expensive prices than surrounding wine stores. When all youre doing is on-selling someone elses product you have to be exceptional at something. This changed hands in July 2017.

My favorite wine shop in NYC. This is not only a great place to pick up a fantastic bottle of wine, but West Side Wines events, weekly wine tastings, and overall friendly atmosphere has created an essential part of the community here on the UWS.

West Side Wine is the best -- one of those rare times when you really want to give customer loyalty these days. Ray is fantastic -- hell recommend great, low-priced wine and often has free wine tastings.

Why anyone would order from any other wineshop on the UWS is beyond me. I always order for delivery and they are always just lovely over the phone. Recently I ordered a rosé and a white (both of their choice in the $20 range). They sent me the most delicious rosé and sancerre (which is my favorite - how could they know?). I am beyond pleased with this place. They know their wines and they clearly know their customers. Upper West Siders are always complaining about how local shops are disappearing (me being one of them), well here’s a chance to keep a good one in the neighborhood so support them!
