I went to this store this morning at 11:54. As the door was wide open, I stepped in… I didnt even go through the door, when the bearded guy at the cash register litterally yelled at me: . So little respect for the customer! Couldnt he have said something a bit nicer like: Sorry, we are not open yet?. After all, I come to bring him some financial support with my shopping… Repulsed by this bad manner, I turned to the nearest liquor shop on 3rd Avenue. There, I get a much warmer welcome and the staff even nicely proposed to help me choose my wine! I will never go to Turtle Bay Liquors store again.
I purchased $321 worth of Moet and within 5 minutes of purchasing I realized that it was the incorrect product purchased. I tried to get a full refund because the clerk stated that he did not know what he doing. He stated that the he was only working there for 2 days. I asked for the store manager number to speak with them and he stated that he did not have the store managers telephone number. He even stated that he did not know who he was working for and had never seen the owner. All I wanted was my money back. The store clerks stated that they could not do anything. I very frustrated and still would like the owner to get in contact with me to discuss since the staff he hired seem to be unknowledgeable.
Small but lots of selection! I found the wine I was looking for but also got some recommendation for some pinot noirs. Staff was friendly and very easy to deal with. Nice place! would definitely go back.
The store counter staff didn’t show respect to his client by discuss with his co-worker about the client decided not to take the paper bag because of costing extra $50 cents with disdainful attitude which’ve made the client felt unwelcome to the store. Wing shop this liquor store anymore!
Will not go here again. Been a customer since 2004, but not after tonight. Clerk was wearing his mask on his chin while chatting with a delivery person who was ranting about racist white people. I waited patiently with my mask and gloves on for them to finish, thinking they were preparing a delivery. Clerk was pleasant enough for the transaction, but delivery person gave me attitude because “they” (white people like me) want people like him to give us respect, but we supposedly don’t give it to them—even when wearing our masks, social distancing, and waiting patiently. Told the clerk I don’t have to come back. Would’ve left if he hadn’t been holding my debit card. Plenty of other options in the neighborhood.
If you are planning to buy a nice bottle for that romantic scene, go elsewhere for which this establishment will try to con their customers from crazy prices and open bottles. Yes, I also mentioned opened bottles.I was a victim of this, where I didnt realize I need to check my bottles before I make a purchase. The other day I visited this establishment and asked the manager about the Baily bottles that were on their shelf. He stated all the bottles were all the same but have a different label. I trusted his advice and agreed to make the purchase. His assistant grabbed the bottle to complete the sale. Remember what I said, his assistant grabbed the bottle to complete the sale. Where he knew the bottle he grabbed was already opened. He packed it up quickly and completed my apple pay purchase.When I arrived home I realized the bottle he gave me is not even what we discussed about, so I returned to the store to swap it out to the correct one.The rep said the bottle is opened. I was like, no is not. I never opened the bottle. The guy shows me the proof and I was shocked. The idiot sounds me an open and incorrect bottle. So I cannot return the opened bottle... Crazy, huh?! These idiots sold a product that was sold opened and pretend they were legit.Out of anger, I was about to buy a new bottle and say to them keep the wrong bottle..... WAIT A MINUTE! I stopped myself and said, screw that, why I am giving these thieves more of my money... So reported them to the better business bureau and my financial institution.Money returned...Trust me, I am not even done with them yet...Turtle bay con store, you cannot con people that enter your store and think you cannot be handled.
“No problem our delivery guy is just late.” And then proceeded to leave trash on my doorstep.
Just purchased 5 bottles of wine at this store, the other day and 3/5 were spoiled, BROWN in color. They are either not stored properly or the owner is buying them at discount from someone for a good reason. Shame on you, you don’t have a reason to exist as a wine merchant.
