One of my favorite places to wind down, with friends and drink good wines. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile, and the staff quickly assisted us. My wife and I had the Chardonnay Noble Vines, and It was good! I highly recommend this place if you love drinking wines. We will definitely come back soon!

This is a good place to begin learning about wines from this area and other items. James is a very interesting person to talk to, and he knows the region and the items he has on offer very well. They had a whiskey tasting so I went in. Friendly staff and the person giving out samples was friendly. Id return here to buy if I am in the area.Since I have been here again to compare prices, this place is expensive if you live outside of Manhattan. The prices for high end bottles are usually 20-40$ higher than places in the suburbs. Buyer beware. That said the staff is friendly.

Clean store with a wide array of wines and liquor. Price was very reasonable considering the variety...and the fact that its on Park Avenue in the middle of Manhattan!

It is expensive here, but the help is very knowledgeable. Ask for Peter if you are looking for a good scotch. If you are a whiskey drinker this is the place to go in NYC.

The workers there were very nice and knowledgeable, but BOTH wines I purchased, a Beaujolais-Villaves and a St. Emillion, had dry corks that completely crumbled and ended up in the bottle and making a huge mess in tbe process. If they were still open, I would have brought them back.

When Drizly processed my order without a gift note, Eric and Alex came to the rescue! Alex returned from the delivery address with gift in hand, and Eric quickly crafted a hand written note to save this gift for an important client.

Last week, in advance of my annual trip to NYC, I called Park Avenue Liquor to see if they had Monkey 47 gin in stock. They had 1 litre bottles - something new to me since Ive only ever been able to source 375 or 500 ml bottles. I was in heaven! This is the best gin around. Most importantly, David and boxologist, Eddie, offered exemplary service. Eddie wrapped the two bottles with shipping-ready care and with the most sincere commitment to my satisfaction. It was the highlight of my Christmas in week in New York.

Normally I dont have any issue going here. Today, I went inside and waited patiently for service, however, once a white male came into the store, the attention was turned completely to him while my black, female self was completely ignored as if I wasnt even there (and I made sure to announce my presence several times). I will no longer make purchases at this establishment after feeling racially discriminated against. Ill keep my money and will pass the message along.

What a Great Place!Over the years I have purchased numerous bottles of Single Malt here and although my purchases have not always been to my liking, I Love the Selection and Customer Service provided by the Park Ave. Liquors! The sales staff is pleasant and professional and very helpful. and the prices are reasonable. They do not always have what you want, but they will always try to get it for you. And they will certainly offer you a close substitute.

One of the best wine and liquor stores in Manhattan, large selection and lots of variety but what made it stand out was the expertise of the staff. Questions were answered quickly and efficiently but then they dig deeper to see if they can recommend something you havent thought of trying before. We arrived shortly before they were due to close on a Friday night but everyone was still alert and attentive. We picked up two great bottles of French wine, one of which was such a phenomenonal deal Im still tempted to go back and buy a case.

I do not live in NY and for about the past 8 years Park Avenue Liquor has been my, Go to place, to call, when I want to send wine as a gift, when I want the most reliable recommendations and when I want the best service. Not sure why these guys dont have higher reviews. this store is not your standard place. they feature some really high-end bottles of liquor, wine, and champagne and are staffed by an educated staff of people that know their product. if you just want a bottle of jaeger they can do it and will happily help you but where they shine is in helping you identify something special.

Walking into PALS is like walking into a hoarders paradise. There are bottles of everything, everywhere. While it seems like they just throw a case here, toss one there, if you ask anyone in the store where any bottle is, they can point you to it without a blink. Right now, they are on my Top Best Places in the City list for having the Texas Limited Edition Absolut bottle which no other liquor store in the city has even heard of (well, at least the 3 others I ventured to).Their prices are extremely fair for the city and perfectly convenient to Grand Central if you want to stock up for your Amtrak ride home. Occasionally theyll have vendors in to do tastings, which are free! Though the store is extremely cramped and always busy, the guys behind the counter still have a sense of humor and a smile on their face when its your turn to check out. I definitely recommend that you make this your go-to liquor store!

One of the few liquor stores in New York that carries my favorite tequila, Asombroso Reposado, so this place automatically gets five stars in my book.

What could have been a good customer service experience, turned into a very bad ripoff. I came in looking for a bourbon to buy as a gift and ended up picking a $150 bottle that has a pinot noir finish, with the staffs advice. After doing some research, I came back the next day asking if i can exchange the unopened bottle for a more traditional bourbon as i was worried about the pinot noir finish. they refused to refund the difference even though the new bottle was $70 less and i was forced to buy something else with the credit. My question is: why do you want the customer to leave with a bad impression and never come back when instead you could have done the right thing and refunded the difference and i would be a lifetime customer and would have given you a better review? Will not be back.
