The staff it is just terrific, I have ordered a Brazilian hard liquor as a gift to a friend that recently moved to Manhattan. They have to run over there twice as the Door man have no idea about the new tenant (my friend) and refuse the delivery. The bottles was carefully wrapped in gift paper with my gift note along with.So, I highly recommend this place to buy your drinks, fair price, fantastic services!Cheers from Brazil!

Mid-price selections and a real surprise. This is an AMAZING $20 Cabernet.

Searched all over and finally found the rare bottle of Bourbon at Mister Wright. NOBODY in the US had it that I could find online. Nearly $300 a bottle but worth it. Had it shipped overnight to a business colleague as a gift. Everything went perfectly! So impressed with the customer service and prices at Mister Wright!

This place is big enough that it seems like a suburban location. Its got a ton of stuff - so if youre looking for a cheap red, something nice, or just some truly, its all here.

This place is awesome Im not a huge drinker and Im very picky when I do drink but this place has everything I can think of. I love the fact that this is one of the few places I can find liquor, wine, and even mead omg the same place. I mean seriously nobody sells mead and they have a brand there called odins skull that is absolutely delicious and is only like $35. Really convenient location and awesome selection 10/5

Was looking for the Ikezo Jelly Sake shots and had no idea where I was going to start, when someone asked me politely if he could help. He knew exactly what I was looking for when I said it, guided me straight to it and helped me to the register. I was there 5 minutes tops. Never got his name, but the customer service was amazing. Thanks so much for saving me time!

Excellent customer service, great selection, and all around lovely people! They gift-wrapped and same-day delivered a bottle of champagne for a friends birthday over the phone. It was quick and super easy, and the person I spoke with was incredibly kind. I would definitely order from them again.

Owner is completely disrepectful. Don’t spend a single penny in this store. There’s plenty of other places in the UES were you can find good wine and don’t need to deal with the attitude of the guy who owns displace.NEVER going back again!

Awesome Selection! They are extremely helpful as well. Just wished it was a bit more organized but they are working with the little space they have. Everything is also fairly priced, especially for the neighborhood.. Definitely give them a visit. You wont be disappointed!

INMHO Poor and rude service.

Really great customer service with recommendations. Has a huge selection of all sorts of specialty liquors. Provided cardboard to help us get our various bottles back to our apartment in a backpack. This will be where go to stock our home bar.

Always have the best selections of wines and liquor. The staff are so friendly and willing to help you look for what you need or suggest something new to try. If they dont have what youre looking for they always check to see when they will get more.

I LOVE Mister Wright. I’ve been a regular patron for about 8 or 9 months now, and since their transition to pick up service, I’ve been blown away at their customer service. It was good before, but even more noticeably so now. I am a big fan of the pick up model and will continue to be a customer as long as I live nearby.

A sales associate was able to help find a couple of good red wine options. They know there stuff.

Manager Aaron, is a waste of space. I’ve never encountered such a miserable person. His employees are clearly terrified of him, and he treats customers horribly. Steer clear, there’s better liquor stores less than a block away. This store is a mess, and the prices are ridiculous. And to the owner, whom I very much doubt cares enough to comment on this review, do not. Your choice of a manager is enough to make me never walk in here again.

Make sure the seals or stickers are not broken. I purchased a rum sold with broken stickers. Although Its my bad to not carefully look at it, I thought i would be able to get it replaced if I go back immediately.However they refused to replace it with a new bottle, and told me this cannot happen because they make sure these stickers are sealed when they stock inventory... so nothing should go wrong... kinda felt like i was accused of lying.I got really uncomfortable drinking it so i had to throw away the whole bottle.The staffs are nice and friendly, and I always get help when I need recommendations. But Id be more attentive next time.

Extremely rude. I called to see why I was still seeing a charge on my account from a cancelled order. They literally told me on the phone “I DONT CARE.” I was in shock. During my years living in this area this the first time I received this treatment. I am so disappointed because I was asking very calmly, plus I have been a FREQUENT CUSTOMER. Will never go again. Has anyone experienced this as well?

Amazing wine selection ranging from 10$ to hundreds of dollars. If you know what youre looking for, chances are theyll have or will know where to find it. If youre not sure what are you looking for, just talk to any member of very pleasant and knowledgeable staff and theyll help you. Using everyday language, theyll explain how does a certain wine taste and why are they recommending it to you. Not pushy, not pretentious; really simple and with style.

Mister Wright is probably the best wine and spirits spot on the east side. They have great options for any budget. You cant go wrong with this gem.

Unpretentious, wonderful wine store with the most helpful people around. The selection is superb, anything from budget wines to high end bottles can be found here, and one can never get bored with the options. If you opt to forego the friendly attendants they are great about leaving you alone too.I love this place so much that my very first thought when debating leaving the neighborhood was that Id have to travel here anyways for this store.

This is one of my favorite wine shops in NYCm They have a wonderful selection of wine from around the world. There is also a nice diversity on price point. Worth a visit!

Everyone here knows wine without being pretentious. You can walk in and say you need a good cab under $15 and theyll suggest multiple bottles while telling you the reason for each choice. You cant beat the selection or the service.

My favorite wine shop in the UES. Great selection that gets updated pretty regularly. Tastings a few times a week. A staff that is really good at giving you a good recommendation, need a under 15 dollar Cabernet? They got you covered.

This is a great wine store and Gregg Wright is an excellent gentleman. So I pains me to say that some of his staff is rude and borderline racist. Put your cashier in check Gregg.

Mr. Wrighthas a brilliant person named Steve whos a walking encyclopedia when it comes to wines and champagnes. This business place also has an adorable sweet man named Alex with blue eyes. If you go to mr. Wright you must have one of these two people. If you want to save money, you go to Trader Joes Wine store. Enjoy

I was falsely accused of shoplifting. I was in the store with a bicycle basket. I put three bottle into my basket as a way of carrying them to the cashier.While I was doing this, a sales person accosted me and started to question me. Did I need help? How many bottles did I mean to buy? He later acknowledged that he suspected I was shoplifting. When I complained to the manager, he ordered me out of the store and not to return.I wrote the owner an e-mail describing the incident, but she didnt even have the decency to respond.I am 65, a lawyer, and happen to be Chinese-American, and I believe that the actions of the sales person was a form of racial discrimination. Had I been a white 65-year-old, I doubt that this would have happened. So if youre a minority person, I recommend that you stay out of the store.

I popped into Mister Wright over the holidays due to proximity and convenient hours and have been coming back ever since. Service is supremely helpful (not pushy or salesy) and prices are fair. An extensive selection and a pleasant experience every time.

Denied me wine because I look too young, normally Id be flattered at the notion but I was wanting to shop at my favorite local place. After even checking my ID witch is valid and shows that I am 24 she still said no. She was very rude and short with me about it, never going here again it is tacky and the writers are precocious.

Very good store in terms of selection, possibly the best on the UES/Yorkville. But most prices even on sale are on the high side. Even those wines that are supposedly on sale can be more than one can find in some other stores at regular prices.

I was followed by security and then refused purchase because my friend and I still have out of state IDs. The woman was rude and smug. My experience was one of the worst Ive ever had in any store.It was a really baffling experience for me. I am a 25 year old, well kept, hygienic, white passing, millennial with a stable job. We were quiet, completely sober when we went in, and spoke only to them when we asked where the French wines were and to each other when we were making our choice. It was weird having their larger employees follow us and pretend to stock bottles.It was a mortifying experience that ruined my evening.
