Initially thought Id walked into a Diagon Alley wand shop, with all the petite, stacked cardboard boxes and the dusty library ladder. I waited my turn, was fitted in a flash by a woman wearing a leather tie, then left in a glow, feeling like wonder woman, which a red corset will do. Im impressed with the materials, attention to detail, and fit of both corsets we purchased. Ask about their vintage options too.

If youre looking for fancy racks of lingerie, youre in the wrong place. The Hasidic owner knows his stock, knows where everything is, and will likely know your bra size just looking at you. Tell him what you want. Hell find the appropriate boxes of product and you can try stuff on in the back. Gorgeous original tile and store front outside. Closed on Saturdays.

I went there and was greeted by a lovely man and woman. The woman took one look at me and picked out the perfect corset size for me. I will be using it for waist training and I am so excited. She said there was a YouTube channel I should watch that teaches you how to do it properly. I also bought 3 bras and a strapless bra, even though I only went in for a corset. The prices were amazing and the fit of everything was perfect. I was in and out so fast, very efficient. I highly recommend this place

UNETHICAL, unprofessional and petty business ethics. They sent the WRONG corset, which was IMMEDIATELY sent back via Fedex with signature confirmation. A person signed for the package and yet a FULL WEEK later they still are refusing to issue a refund. They argued through email (unprofessional) and tried to justify why they cannot issue a refund despite a refund being an electronic process that can be done immediately; a FULL WEEK is incomprehensible. They clearly engage in stall tactics to avoid issuing a refund. They do NOT pay for return shipping so yet another degree of financial loss. I cannot imagine a thriving company struggling this hard to keep $81 dollars so perhaps the business is not doing well financially, however, that is not my burden or point of concern as a consumer. They now have BOTH the product AND the money. Small claims court will resolve this issue but having to even take that route is baffling. Do NOT NOT NOT deal with this establishment. The customer service is exceedingly poor and they will not civilly return monies due.

Love love love this store! I have kept coming back every two years for a bra because of her expert advice. I choose a bra myself: doesnt look good Im a sweater. She chooses my bra: I legit get compliments from my lady friends. Shes the expert; dont question her. I see a lot of larger bra sizes at the shop, but for the record Im an in-shape women who started with them at 24 and just as happy at 34.

I’ve been wanting to stop in for awhile, and finally found time today. Due to train delays, I arrived with very little time before I had to be on my way. When I came in I spoke to the woman first. I asked her if she would be able to do it in 15 minutes and she told me she could do it in three. She lightly touched my torso and immediately knew my size. She put it on for me, and made it comfortable to wear out of the store. I was paid and walking out the door in five minutes. Absolutely worth going into the store! Do not expect frills or fuss. They are experts at what they do and they do it so well!

The boxes threw me off. Thought it was a small warehouse. The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable. The women touched my waist and knew my size. She made me feel so exotic and feminine. Love this place. The lady merely looked at me and told me my size. True to her word, she was right. Suggested three bras; bought all three. I also bought several other unmentionables. Been there a few times and always walked out with two-three items. They know their stuff. Prices are awesome. Ive tried other expensive bras and they were not the same quality as the brands offered here. The Jamaican lady who helped me squeeze into a corset...god bless her because I know she worked up a good sweat getting me fitted. Another reason why I love this place is because women dont wear full/half slips, corsets, and camisoles anymore. I grew up in an era when women wore undergarments. Nowadays, all of the cheap clothing is see through and goodness gracious I see it all, much to my eyeballs detriment. My mom used to walk around in her slip while putting on her makeup and her hair in curlers. She passed away but those memories of slips and corsets will never leave me thanks to this shop.

I’m a performer and this was my first time purchasing a corset. Both Peggy and Mary-Anne (sp??) were both super friendly and helpful. I had a lot of questions and they were happy to answer all of them and give me recommendations. I am looking forward to going back and trying out some of the other styles they have to offer! Amazingly experience. I was looking for the pin up girl look foundation garments. Got fitted quickly and my waist looks super tiny. Great place for the perfect foundation pieces. This is a place you go to for perfectly fitting pieces, so look beyond the stockroom feel of the place and let them work their magic on you. Highly recommend.

This store is located on an adorable street! Their service is great! Sometimes theres a bit of a line, so its best to go as soon as they open in order to beat the line. Their products are satisfactory! Great prices!

Be prepared for a unconventional lingerie buying experience. Go in open minded is my best advice and youll wind up being blown away!The woman who owns the place can size you up in a moment and shell pull a few styles out of boxes that will range from granny to glam but each one will fit you like it was made for you. I believe they do alterations of necessary though its never been the case for me!Presentation leaves something to be desired but theyll more than make up for it with perfect fit and comfort. A local treasure.

No fancy showroom, just a perfect fit. If you are claustrophobic try not to look at the cramped quarters, and the boxes stacked up to the ceiling. If you expect champagne while trying on bra after bra this is not for you. If you want a good bra that actually fits and is usually had in the first try you must shop here. I highly recommend this store to the women who cant find a bra that fits.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about Orchard Corset. Im a complete beginner but wanted a corset for my upcoming wedding. My dress is unforgiving and Im a plus size girl. I chatted with their sizing expert and sent them a photo of my dress and my measurements and they were able to help me out. Two days later the most beautiful corset arrived at my door. I was so happy with 3 new corset until I saw a defect in the lacing. She laced me up with it too. There is no way that she could not have seem it, because I could feel the bump in the lace when I try it on by myself.

For years after moving to the West Coast from NYC I looked for a place to buy bras that offered the same expert fitting that I used to get in stores on the LES. Nothing came close. Even the large department store that is renowned for its certified fitters didnt do as good a job.A few years ago while back in NYC I made a trip to the Orchard Corset Center to buy bras. The owner and his wife (she is the one who goes into the dressing room with you to ensure a perfect fit) are very skilled at what they do. The first time I shopped there she wasnt working, but he looked at me (fully clothed) and handed me a bra to try on. It fit perfectly. I bought several, and left wearing the one Id tried on. As he was ringing me up he told me he was glad Id decided to wear it, that he thought the bra Id been wearing fit very poorly.Since then, I go to Orchard Corset every time Im in town. The other times Ive been in both owners have been there, and she is the most skilled fitter Ive ever encountered. I bring my teenage daughter there for bras, too. She had no idea the right bra could make such a difference!By the way, Im African American and have never been treated poorly by these merchants. Ive also been in the store when another African American shopper came in with her family. She was looking for a waist training corset, and was also treated with courtesy and respect. To be sure the owners are brisk and businesslike, which can come off as unwelcoming, and I dont doubt that some shoppers have had negative experiences - Ive encountered my share of racist shopkeepers - but I have not had that experience in this business. I am not trying to invalidate other shoppers experience, simply to offer another, positive, example.

On November 2, my daughter and i were visiting New York when she had a rib dislocate. We found this shop online and when we arrived it was really busy, which to me is a good sign. They were very knowledgable and new just by looking at you the correct size needed. We got my daughter a corset which helped save the rest of our vacation and I bought a bra that fit like a glove and being big busted is hard. Just now ordered 3 more!!

While I had a great experience in the store and I love my corset... I feel like I have to leave a negative review because the mesh corset they recommended for me has now ripped twice in various places and Im afraid of wearing it for fear of having to mend it again.

The female owner ensures that each customer is fitted properly and for the right outfit. If you have something you want to wear, its recommended to bring the item so you can be fitted properly.

I ordered my CS 426 on Wednesday night and got it by Friday afternoon. I am very impressed. I am starting waist training and this is my first real corset other than the knock off shapers you can buy in department stores. I have worn it for a few hours already and it is very fitting to my curves. I highly recommend any Orchard Corset for fashion, posture and waist training.

Their sizing chart is highly inaccurate and rather than put a liner into the crotch of intimate items they simply have a no refund or exchanges policy. This is an unfortunate and expensive lesson, especially considering i followed their online sizing chart to the letter and still received a body briefer so small it barely went past my knees. The shipping was very fast, but hardly balances the poor customer service and inaccurate sizing chart. I definitely wont be wasting money here again. Completely disappointing in every way.

I first ordered a corset according to the size they recommended according to my measurements anyways I received it and that was too big then I send it back for a exchange they told me I had to pay $17 and some change since I wore it which I only for a few hours, I ended up paying half of that because I paid over $20 to ship it back to get an exchange with FedEx. They do not pay for your exchange or returns which sucks because customers spend so much money on a corset. I then received my second corset and it was sooo uncomfortable, the bottom hook is so hard to hook. They pretty much send me a messed up corset. I cant send it back because thats another $20 out my pocket . Total waste of $70

Extremely happy with my corset. I am a first time wearer. The ladies in there taught me how to wear and gave me suggestions of what to wear it with if I chose to wear it on the outside of my garmets. Extremely nice and they were well informed.

Alright, Im writing this review after some time with the corset I purchased in store, and to sum up what to expect out of this shop.TL;DR- curt but highly knowledgeable staff. Go in with a purchase in mind, absorb information/sizing, and do any continued purchases online. Not racist, just money-minded.I do suggest coming in with the hope/expectation to purchase at least one item, and heres why:Theres a lot of comments towards potential racism from the couple that runs this shop, and having been there in person, and in the shop long enough to watch their interactions with several customers of varying sizes, shapes, and race, I have to disagree with the accusation. What I *did* notice was a prejudice against non-paying customers. Theyre a bit more old-school minded folk, and being a small mom-and-pop location, that obvious has a lot to deal with, considering the online orders and shows they partake in, they dont have much patience for window shoppers. Its also an *incredibly* tight space in their shop, so people just hanging around without intention to buy was a bit annoying even to me as a customer. Both the husband and wife have an old-school, blunt way of speaking, so they will direct you to the website if you are intent to just look, because theyve done all they can to explain everything you might wish to know, all in one central location, in attempts to save themselves time and repetition.While I was in there, purchasing a corset, several people happened through the shop. There was a pair of very voluptuous African American women who gabbed with the man at the desk like they were old friends, alongside buying some bras. There was another single (seemingly) Hispanic female who came in looking for a cincher, who was also helped in at least a professional manner, if a little rushed considering the half-dozen people in the shop at the time. The one woman who was given the coldest shoulder was actually the prettiest and skinniest Caucasian woman in the shop, because it was obvious she had just come in to look around and take hot pictures of herself in corsets. The woman in the back cinched her into one corset, quickly realized what the girl was in there for, and turned her attentions away from her in an instant, to assist those of us definitely looking to buy that day.Overall, theyre good enough people, just a bit curt. My suggestion is to go in and take advantage of the husbands amazing ability to eyeball sizes, pick up one item in-house, and take the information of your size with you to continue your purchases online. Half the time the prices are cheaper through their site, anyway.

Teighlor and Orchard Corsets are amazing!! I am totally new to this. I found the website and a help section and sent in my measurements for help in choosing a corset and size for waist training. Teighlor emailed me back, questioning my measurements -- and she was so right... I made a mistake. She educated me on a few things, I sent in corrected measurements and she then sent me a model number to choose from. I ordered the black mesh model and I waited patiently (yeah right) for it to arrive.... I LOVE IT and I LOVE THE WAY IT FITS AND LOOKS on me. Teighlor was spot on!!!! And she was patient, kind and absolutely amazing throughout the process. Im already looking at ordering another one. The corsets are beautiful! I cannot speak for the store in NYC as I have never gone in there or called them but I give the online store and customer service a FIVE STAR RATING... and a big hug!

Haha so This is my Nephews account. and Im using this account so I can put a review. First of all the website Orchard Corset looks so promising. Im a Filipino and I wanted to have a corset because of Elle Bradford because she has a nice body. I was in the States for cultural exchange anyway to cut it short I traveled from Wisconsin to New York for the corset. I walked from Grand Central to the Store together with my friend just to have the corset haha and I was dismayed that when I talked to the Jewish Guy I was expecting a warm welcome considering we looked so tired already from walking. I started talking to him that I wanted my rib cage to be reduced and I wanted something on the net but he told me its too long for me directly and then he just stared at me and gave me a corset and he said that this is the one for you. I kept on asking myself in my mind if is he sure about this? so he gave me a size 22 and oh well since Im already at the store, I bought it without further question. so after I traveled back to my country, Philippines. I tried seasoning the corset but dang the guy had some professional eyes. It fits perfectly! Hahaha! just be prepared how he entertains you when you get there but over all the corset is great and it has very nice material. I love it.. Im def buying another but I dont know when Im going back to the States.. Cheer up girls..

Worst experience I had ever. Immediately upon arriving in this old dingy shop, I was singled out for racist treatment. The overweight obnoxious Jewish man sitting behind the counter treated me with such rudeness and contempt for just walking in to his shop wanting to buy a corset!From what I saw the corsets he makes look badly designed and made, so dont waste your money here and dont bother going in if youre not Jewish.He was perfectly fine with the young Jewish ladies that came in behind me, and served them politely. But to me he refused to answer my questions, refused to show me some styles, and wanted me to leave, he didnt want to serve me or even sell to me. Im in New York on holiday and am shocked at such outright racism. Im not Jewish, Im middle eastern and have never been so humiliated.My friend wants me to report him to the police.

Admittedly we expected a retail outlet, not the factory store, on walking up. Minor disappointment was washed away quickly with the quality speedy service and that we walked out with a beautiful corset that cost about a third of what we would pay at home.

Loved the quality of the items but beware. I ordered the item online from my Samsung Note 3 and when I selected a size the size does not highlight or indicate in any way what size you have selected until you are in the shopping cart and somehow I ended up ordering a size smaller than I thought I selected. When the item came in and didnt fit. I paid for return shipping and requesting the size I thought I ordered in the first place. THEN I am informed that there will be a $10 restocking fee but only AFTER I have paid to have the wrong item mailed to them. If I would have known that then I would have just sold the item on Ebay. Lesson learned from this experience is if you get the right size you will be an extremely happy customer.....if you are unlucky as I am you will be out at least $15 plus the hassle. ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This store is the epitome of great. I just wish all stores and companies were as efficient in what they do. I bought the Steel Boned Underbust Clearance Mini-Corset in Leather (CS-301) yesterday with a coupon. I did not pay for shipping because i didnt mind when it would arrive and it was marked for about 7-10 days. I bought this corset on sale for $45 at a size of 16. To my amazement, the corset arrived today! In perfect shape! The packaging was also very beautiful package with a company labeled wrapping with a Orchard Corset sticker! I carefully opened everything in case there was a problem and i needed to return it.. i must say it was for nothing! the corset was simply perfect, better than on the website i must say! I have no regrets!! I would definetly advise anyone who needs a corset to buy it at Ochard Corset! Thank you

I had received suggestions and helpful customer service from online representative via email. I decided to visit the store to make sure I was selecting the correct corset. I was so excited to visit the store. I walked in and they greeted me at once. I told them that I was interested in a corset and I had received suggestions from online reps. He asked do you want to buy today (kind of off putting when I didnt even see the product yet or receive information). He asked me to put my hand on my hips land he looked and me and said this is the one you need and handed it to me. The corset was so beautiful in person. I asked asked him about different models of the corset and he said we dont need to talk, this is the one you need. I was completely turned off! I would have just walked out but I really wanted to see it on. The nice older Spanish woman helped my try it on and laced it up. I wanted to try on the 345 or 426 but the front desk rep barely wanted to speak to me and was speaking in a condescending tone already. As I was trying to ask questions about other style of corsets he cut me off and said look this is the only one that will work for your body type do you want it today in a condescending tone. I will be purchasing a corset online because I need one asap but I will also be writing a letter to the company. I am an African American female and I do feel like the two in store works had a serious issue with my race and in addition are pushy sales people. Other customer walked in during my visit and he did not speak to them in the same tone and provided a different level of service. If the company does not reply in the proper manner I will not buy from this brand again and will spread the word. Its a shame lovely products but rude, racist workers. Thats something that I refuse to support!

I ordered a Verdett waist cincher,,, I adore Verdett and should have ordered from there web cite,,but it was a few bucks cheaper at orchard,,,I wore the cincher for a week and the bones start to show at the bottom...so I called and was told that my item would be replaced ...that was a month ago..Im still waiting...I paid 67.00 for my item,,,order at your own risk!!!!
