Awful. Been dealing with customer service for two months trying to replace a chandelier that arrived completely shattered. After stringing me along for over a month saying they were waiting to hear from the manufacturer every time I asked when and how the damaged piece would be removed from my house, they now insist that I need to dispose of it. They are offering no means of moving the very large box and pallet. The replacement is nowhere to be found, using the tracking number. So disappointed- I wish I could cancel the whole order at this point and get my money back.
Buyer beware! Went into the showroom for this place twice and couldnt get any help. I eventually ordered online because they carried the manufacturer I specifically wanted to purchase from . They called me to give me some clarification supposedly before they placed the order with the manufacturer. I wasnt available for the call. When I did call them back, I could only reach an answering service. Before I could connect with any actual employee, the items arrived with no notice. I only felt comfortable ordering because the website said there was no restocking fee (its in their google ad!) They charged a 25% restocking fee plus more than $500 to send the lights back. When I pointed out my customer experience, they were unapologetic. Anywhere has to be better than Foundry Lighting.
They sent me a broken floor lamp and have been unable to process the necessary mailing label for me to exchange it. I have sent them five emails and made five phone calls and they are unable/unwilling to sort the problem out. I sent them photos of how the light was broken when I opened the box. I will never do business with this company again
My mother in law had a similar bad experience but I chalked it up to miscommunication and gave them a chance. I really loved the lights on the website!If you are absolutely certain that the light you are choosing from the single available image online is for you, Foundry will likely be a great experience.Do not, EVER, try to return something. I purchased multiple exterior lights as we were doing a full exterior renovation and I wanted to try them for size and shape. I did not wire them, merely held them up to get a sense of the fixture.I chose the light we would use and started the return process for the others. It was an absolute NIGHTMARE. Foundry does not accept the fixtures back, you will pay for shipping to the manufacturer warehouse as well as a 20-25% restocking fee on top of shipping. They set up each return INDIVIDUALLY so that I wouldn’t be confused and ship the items to the wrong place? So I had to ship and item, let them know it was shipped with the tracking number, and only then would they give me the return address for the next item. Am I a toddler?After the items were returned they had to be inspected which I was informed could take up to 3 weeks. Try 6.I have no less than 45 emails back and forth with Foundry customer service just trying to get the correct shipping information and follow ups about my returned items. This became a full time job.Every single fixture I purchased from foundry can be found on other more reliable retailer websites and I implore you, learn from my mistakes and do not bring this headache upon yourself.Foundry, take a lesson from every other online retailer and fix this process because it is a horrendous customer experience.
ETA: I just received a phone call from the customer service department of Foundry. They offered me $223.76 (I would lose over $600) to keep the lights but ONLY if I remove my review. NOPE.I have to agree with all of the reviews regarding poor customer service and ridiculous charges for returns. With covid, shipping is taking longer so I totally understand that the delivery of some of my items was delayed--of course! Unfortunately, the same courtesy was not extended to me and I missed my return window by less than a week and they will not readily accept my fixtures back. Make sure to do your homework! I could have purchased the exact same fixtures from other stores (hello, Home Depot!!!) for less with a much better return policy and better customer service. Dear fellow shoppers--check Amazon for better deals on the same products. Dear Foundry Lighting, you need to do better.
I spent months online searching for a fixture for above our dining table. I happened to wander into Foundry Lightings NYC store, and am so glad I did. Viviane totally understood the issues our apartment presented and showed me several options in a range of prices. Not trying to sell me on the most expensive light, just the right one. She knew her product well, pulling out catalogs to show me items not displayed on the floor. They even matched the prices I saw online, and the shipping was free. Yes, the restocking fee gave me pause, but I never would have gotten the expertise I got from Foundry from an online retailer.
I ordered 3 light fixtures from Foundry. The items shipped directly from the manufacturer, with some damage. I am so glad I ordered from a reputable establishment who did not make me wait until it was resolved with the manufacturer. They ordered 3 new fixtures, and took care of the issue on their own. Thank you Foundry, especially Raquel, for making the process smoother than it could have been, and for your excellent customer service. I look forward to having these beautiful fixtures installed.
Foundry Lighting has been so helpful. I ordered a gorgeous statement dining room fixture from them and then decided to order sconces from an online retailer. The sconces were terrible. They were the wrong type of light and didn’t dim. I went back to Foundry and worked with Vivian and she found the perfect sconces for the room. They arrived and there no unexpected surprises. Vivian picked the sconces from photos and they are perfect. I now have more fixtures to order and will only work with them. I highly recommend. They are now my go to place for lighting.
I spent a lot of time with Raquel choosing all of the lighting for our apartment after a renovation. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the best dimensions and aesthetic for each room given what I was trying to achieve. I absolutely love everything she helped me select. I highly, highly recommend Foundry Lighting.
This place was a really great surprise. Went with friends for the first time and have been back again twice. Good food, beautiful atmosphere and fun crowd.

I would have gladly exchanged my lights but when I informed I would be charged a 20% restocking fee I was very disappointed. Thier email clearly shows NO RESTOCK FEE, in which case this is FALSE Advertising :-(Had to pay for shipping back to TEXAS???? Very surprised since its a NYC business and it cost me $33 for nothing!! Thumbs Down
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!30 day return with a 25% restocking charge! thats right25%! I ordered 3 lights and spent $8000 (on this project) i realized i could not use one of them and called with in 30 days to send back. They informed me I would pay for return shipping (i was ok with) and have a 25% restocking charge. it was a $3000 light. I kept the light for a future project but will not be ordering from again and my designer is even more upset and also will not use Foundry 25% restocking Decorative Lighting.

This is one of the most challenging retailers that Ive dealt with. They denied a return on a lamp based upon damages that clearly could not have occurred while they were in my possession. The customer service rep was rude and not understanding and told me bluntly that they dont have time for drama. I was then requested to supply more $$ immediately or the lamps would be immediately disposed of. Felt like highway robbery.
They took the time to understand my needs and help me through the entire process.
