Worst quality we have ever experienced. No attention to detail, thin, cheap, misrepresented. Waited 2 months to receive from Scully and Scully and was so disappointed and disgusted!I bought these for my twins as a HS graduation gift, and wanted to return them, but they only took 1 back.I replaced both for much better quality products ~$150 each and that is ~ 1/2 the cost of Scully and Scully from another NYC based resource.
Item delivered not as described on Scully and Scully website ~I ordered a silk pillow on the Scully and Scully website & it was taking a while to receive an “Order Shipped” notification so I called the store & they told me the feather & downpillow insert was out of stock. I told them that since I consider this an important part ofA luxury pillow, I would wait. A week later the pillow arrived but I noticed right away,It felt extremely firm. Low & behold, it was filled with an inexpensive foam insert, rather than the mostly feather & down insert described on their website. Also, the pillow is described as 16” X 16” but I measure15” X 15”. Customers service quickly called me back when they received my review of this issue & offeredme a 10% discount? Really!?! Barely covers tax. And she was quite shameless about it.~ my first experience with this company & It was so disheartening. I see many beautiful pillows on their website selling for 100’s of dollars that are beautiful, and they all advertised feather and down inserts. Ive had good experiences from S&S currently iam looking to buy silk pillows, so Ill have plenty of pillow talk with my friends. 🤭 I have a few Stiffel lamps, mother of pearl cuffs, horsey lamps 🐎 & a lalique Chrystal chicken head 🐔 I wish S&S would carry a bacarat or Lalique Chrystal fox head 🦊 big enough like life size, I would really love it 😊 ☺️
This company has horrible customer service and zero communication. They are not a fine upstanding business. My order arrived 3 months later in used and damaged condition. This is not how high end retailers handle business transactions. Do not purchase from them on-line, you will be disappointed.
I ordered a coffee table from them and a second, for the same room, a few months later. The first looked like the picture online but the second was completely different. I sent them a picture and requested that they replace it with one that looked like the first and their own advertised picture. They replied that because the furniture is made of solid wood, they can actually give no guarantee that the pieces they ship will look like those they advertise. Since the customer pays $500 for shipping and $500 again for a return, returning an unacceptable piece of furniture isnt really an option. I agree with other reviewers that this is the worst customer service Ive ever gotten from a store.
Ordered two brass lamps that are described as Solid Brass, and simply are not. The base is a sheet metal stamping over a plastic weighted ballast. The lamps are beautiful, yet seem cheap for the price. The delivery was fast. The return process easy. The purchase amount minus shipping was returned to my credit card. The interesting thing is the company wanted me to enter a review into their system, which I did with three stars. Its been a week and my review has never been posted on their site, which tells me they dont post anything but 5 star reviews.
I ordered a very important item and after receiving the confirmation email I never received any further communication from them. I reached out to them 2 times by email wondering the status and they never responded. They canceled my order and never let me know. How was i suppose to know there was an issue? Finally after waiting almost s month i called them and they said it had been cancelled. I was so upset. I missed giving my grandson a very special gift. Now I will order from a responsible company but they could care less. Their facebook shows great ratings despite that you can read issues with orders just like mine. They must be giving themselves the positive reviews because it doesnt make sense. Terrible customer service despite their overpriced items.
This shop has beautiful decorative objects for the home, furniture, and china. Extensive selection of Herend objects and dinnerware. Many unique and unusual objects and furnishings in a fairly large store. Mostly very traditional and high end. Its a pleasure to shop here. The staff are very nice and are happy to leave you to browse at your leisure.

Tasteful,exquisite and beautiful items,many available nowhere else in New York .Just walking around the store is such a treat. Nothing else like it. Scully advertised a breakfast cup and saucer (sold together) for $155. My husband bought it for me for Christmas. When I received the package it only had the cup. I reported it to the store expecting them to send the saucer. Instead they said the saucer was a separate item and would cost an additional $105. I told them that the picture in the online store had both items and that the saucer was not even an item that could be purchased. They acknowledged the error but said too bad for me I had to pay for their mistake.The store should have just absorbed the $105 and sent the saucer. It seems very petty for a Madison Avenue store to respond to their mistake in such a shabby manner.They have updated their site but have ignored my complaint.
This used to be a very fine place. Respectful and efficient service, professional personnel and a cultivated even elegant form of commercial endeavor . To a large extent this level of professionalism justified the prices and was worth it. Currently however this facility seems to be blighted. One might consider a viral infestation that has afflicted the personnel but it seems to be more a form of disdainful arrogance.. In essence there appears simply to be a significant decrease in professionalism which has been supplanted by incompetence, impoliteness and a laissez faire attitude. Caveat emptor !!!!

I have purchased many frames silver items waterfall bookcase a beautiful bow mirror a magnifier with leather handle all of them in perfect condition and with expert sales people. Everyone. That has helped us are professionally considerate and kind. This store is a wonderful place . Sometimes you might have to wait for the store to get the shipment in but it is worth the wait and you will be very pleased. I am now waiting for another lamp and I will keep going back to shop there . There quality their service is wonderful. Thank you Scully and Scully and all who work there. People should understand your store has to bring in lonely items it takes time for shipments to be delivered.
Received all the wonderful catalogues for years and ordered my great grandson a silver cup engraved in mid January, received email that it woulsd be 2 weeks; checked in 2 weeks and was told at least 2 weekks more. Offered to cancel and was promised firm delivery in the next 2 weeks. Now in week 3 of the extended time. Sent email today asking for status today and have received no answer. Never had this type of problem with Tiffany. Would consider long before another purchase, or correctly my first purchase. Going to Tiffany. Actually NO STARS
Placed an order 3 weeks ago. I still have not received it but I have received all of there advertisement emails 2 or 3 a day. I emailed the company and here is what they said. (See Below) My question to them was - why didnt you let me know about this 2 weeks ago. I canceled the order and will be disputing the charge. In my opinion, by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from any retailer, much less a retailer that purports to provide excellent service in their title. After an ordering error they made me pay return shipping, refused to allow me to place a new order to provide the items (which were a gift) in time for Christmas, and were rude and unprofessional when I contacted them.
I placed and order in September for an item that was to ship in 7 to 10 days. After 4 weeks I tried to contact customer service and it took a week for them to respond after 4 attempts on my part. They said it would be another two weeks for me to receive my item. Four weeks later I tried to reach customer service again. No response yet after 5 tries. Terrible customer service and terrible delivery!
Placed an order a month ago on an item that said it was in stock. called after waiting for the item to be presented at a special event next week and was told the item was never in stock and I should have received a call. The Skully representative said it could be mailed sometime next year. I have unsubscribed.
I recently started a Herend collection for my daughter. The assortment of figurines and colors available is insane. The figurines I ordered arrived after just few days. I will definitely buy again.
Beautiful store and exceptional service! I truly dont understand any of the negative reviews, and had an exceptional customer experience a few weeks ago when I went to buy a lamp. Cassandra assisted me and was attentive, patient and honest in sharing her lovely taste and advice with me. Cassandra even recreated my setup at home by pulling two chairs next to a side-table so I could imagine how the lamp would look in my home. The store itself is beautiful and has exceptional pieces. Truly worth a visit. My compliments to Cassandra and Scully & Scully!
A famous NYC store that has just gone downhill.I purchased two engraved sterling silver frames at the start of July from them to be engraved. Not only was the customer service very unhelpful in providing feedback on the status of my product, the frames were ultimately delivered in such poor condition that the sales person said one of the frames could not even be given to me. It was dented in numerous places. I dont care to mention the quality of the other frame.I had considered this store for a wedding registry, but honestly could not in good conscience recommend it to anyone. A sign of the times ! how awful to see a New York institution like this go downhill.
I purchased a silver mug and had it monogrammed for my grandson shortly after his birth and was delighted with it. In the beginning of March I followed up with a monogrammed silver porringer, which I am still waiting for. I am very disappointed that in five months Scully & Scully has not been able to come through. I keep being told that they are receiving some in the next few weeks but the promises do not materialize into action. Very disappointed.
To Who It May ConcernI have never heard of your store, I have never shopped at your store in person or on line, but twice now in the last six months you have managed to completely drain my bank account. I don’t know how the hell this can happen when I have never bought anything from you and never ever will now that you have jacked me twice. Even after I changed banks. You still managed to steal friends me. I had to google your store just to find out who the hell keeps hacking my account.I will be seeking what type of legal action I can take.I don’t even live close, thousands of miles away.
AVOID even looking at anything on their website!!! I made the mistake of doing that one time, and ever since, I have been bombarded by their unwanted ads (usually several ads per screen) on news websites they advertise on. I have reported their ads as unwanted, several dozen times, and I still get their intrusive, multiple instances per page, advertisements. GO AWAY!!!
Not good customer service
I ordered a silver rattle online at the end of May and was told that it was backordered and would be fulfilled in 2 weeks. I regularly checked in once it had been 3 weeks since my order was placed. The rattle was finally delivered 9 weeks after my order was placed and the engraving was done incorrectly - my childs name was spelled wrong. I sent the rattle back immediately and am still waiting for the rattle. I have called to check in at least a dozen times without receiving any real answers. It has been 16 weeks since I placed my order - 6 since I sent back the rattle that was engraved incorrectly. This has been the worst customer service I have experienced. In hindsight, I should have just cancelled the order from the beginning and looked elsewhere.

Very wide selection of fine goods to add to your home. Very professional and accommodating, however I wished they had more inventory in their warehouse. Waiting for orders can take a month.
Sadly waited over a month to get my item shipped after purchasing something at the store with Michael and upon returning to NYC they sold the item I paid for to another client and had the nerve to say it was backordered even though it was pulled from showroom paid for and put in the back to ship. Nothing but excuses. Really makes me think where to spend my time shopping in NYC which occurs every month. Asked to speak to who was in charge and another round of excuses transpired. Too many lovely places to shop in NYC to waist time and money with poor customer service.

I am celebrating my 10-year anniversary and thought it would be nice to update my china and where better to go? Yes, that’s right, Scully and Scully. I walked in and I was greeted right away and asked where the China was displayed. Although they have China in the middle of the store, he suggested that I go upstairs the bridal department. Sue was the woman who assisted me. She walked me through the different patterns and spoke about the pieces that caught my attention. Sue was very patient with me as I had many questions and couldn’t decide. After an hour of browsing, I decided to stick with a Classic - Herend Queen Victoria with the Green Border. I would have liked to go with the pink since it is my favorite color, but I think my husband will appreciate the green better. Sue also showed me some Baccarat glasses as I mentioned that I always wanted them. What a great update/addition to my china! I can’t wait to have a party!! Thanks Scully and Scully and Sue!
I am so excited to register my wedding with Scully and Scully! I love the collection they have and the bridal department is very helpful. They took the time to show me all the beautiful table settings and bar setting that they had. So many beautiful products it was so hard to choose from!

I recently purchased a dining room table and chairs from Scully & Scully. Working with them was so easy. Edgar, who was my sales associate, took the time to help me choose the best table for my needs. They have a lot to choose from. I really appreciated his patients and professionalism because it took awhile for me to make up my mind. I was worried about handling the delivery, set up, etc. and the whole process went so smoothly. They worked with me on the best delivery date based on my schedule, not the other way around. The delivery people could not be more helpful when they set everything up in my apartment. I will be coming back for more furniture and look forward to working with Edgar again!!!
I have ordered many items from them. I could not be happier with the people who took my order over the phone. I have the highest regard for this store. The prices are definitely worth the quality. This is the store to go to for great quality and the definite wow factor. I only wish the store were closer to my home and I could visit, but ordering over the phone is still a great experience. We need more high quality stores such as Scully and Scully.

I visited the lovely Scully & Scully store recently looking for gift ideas. The selection of items is impressive and I was pleasantly surprised by their Jewelry Dept. - it is much larger than expected. The staff were very courteous and knowledgeable throughout the store.
Disappointed. Just received tray. It was very well packaged, no folds or dents on box upon delivery by Fedex. Gap on joint cannot be fully put together without compromising the other end. Dear valued customer, your order has been carefully packed and inspected and we hope that you are pleased. Well, I am not. What part of this tray was inspected, surely I it is quite obvious the carelessness thereof and avoidable return. How can one be assured of the inspection of quality for future purchases after this.
I love the look and feel of the store. I agree its quite expensive, and I can only purchase rarely. I have found wonderful objects purchased at Scully and Scully on internet sites for 80-90% less expensive than the store prices. Of course, I dont have the fun of perusing the store. If I sell an item on the internet, I make sure to use the word prestigious before Scully and Scully.

During our visit to Scully and Scully, we were assisted by one of the sales associates, who was nice and helpful. However, one of the ladies at Scully and Scully gave us an angry and a hostile stare, as if telling us that we shouldnt be there. May be some should break the news to her that even ethnic minorities have money to spend on luxury household items. Her abrasive behavior aside, the store has beautiful items. However, it is difficult to patronize a store that doesnt treat all customers with respect.

Looks can be deceiving ... I purchase freywille ring for 675.03 from Scully & Scully on May 15, 2019 .. The store Manager Carrie Rabkin help me that day .. she was very professional and nice ... she told me it would take between 6-8 weeks before the order would get in .. I told her I would pick it up at the store when it arrived .. She never called me .. I waited until July 15 and called and she told me it was at the warehouse and she will call me when it arrived at the store .. So I waited longer ..days became weeks and then I called August 9th and someone else pick up in customer service and told me it was still at the warehouse and the reason why they did not delivered it was because it was the wrong ring size .... at that point i was shock she never told me from the previous phone call on July 15 that they made mistake on the ring size ... Customer service told me it was still at the warehouse and they were going to return it to get the right size and they would call me when it came in which was in 2 weeks ... Nobody called me .. in fact from May 15 to August 20 nobody ever called me once, not even a email ... I called August 20 ..Finely Carrie Rabkin called me back and told me if I waited for the right size for the ring she had no idea when I would get this ring after 3 months of the running around and calling them over and over this was her response .. It left a bad taste in my mouth, at that point I just wanted my money back and she kindly said she would reimburse me and credit me on my credit card since I paid cash ..Who knows maybe they knew I was never going to get this purchase and I figure out after 3 months they were just giving me the run around .. ..What Ive learned from this awful experience is just because you walk into a posh store means nothing ... and purchase something..if they are going to display expensive items in glass windows and sell and not call or email your customers..to keep them inform of there purchase, it tells me a lot ...it also tells me that if you are doing business with other companys like freywille its better to go directly to them not Scully & Scully.. its like they take your money but thats where they cut you off .. I dont think I will ever walk into this store again and i hope for my sake my reimbursement is smooth and I wont have to call back over and over .. I should of look at there reviews before I purchase because I can tell a lot of people had the same problem ... and Scully & Scully if you are reading this review nothing you can say can make up how i was treated .. I would of gave you a zero star but if I did that it would of not let me post this review ... Do not purchase anything from this company. I ordered an item as a wedding gift. I was told the item would ship between 7-10 business days. One month later, and the wedding being two weeks passed, the item had not even shipped. I wrote customer service three times and received no response. Finally I called and got ahold of someone who told me that there was a backorder and it would be another two weeks at the best. The item was not advertised as on backorder, indeed, the item status for over a month was ready to ship and I had paid for next day shipping.This is the second time this has happened to me and I will not do business with this company again. Order at your own risk.
