I was a little disappointed that i couldnt find cotton candy grapes, concord grapes and that NYC stores dont sell wine😔. I bought wine at Aldi in NC and thought i would be able to find it at the 117th St NYC store. Set up good and store was still stocked at 5pm.

This place is a super cheap supermarket! 🏪 ALDI is a fantastic store with an endless variety of food items at super affordable rates 🏷️! Dont forget to bring your own bags! Staff is welcoming and service is super quick! I wish I came here more often!

Must use mask. This is another place I love to shop. I mostly do most of my shopping. Prices are lower than other supermarkets. I find a lot of products that I like. Seafood, meats, etc. But i always look at the ingredients, where ever I shop. Place is clean. Staff are polite.

Its Aldi. Its exactly what you expect. Customers making a mess like its a hobby. While the store staff try to keep the store stocked and organized. I Have to give the staff credit. I worked in retail for 20 years. Customers have the most audacity out of any creature on this planet. Placing frozen and refrigerated items on any shelf because they changed their mind about buying it. To anybody reading this review, consider your actions when shopping. If you have a problem with Aldi other than the quality of their produce. You are most likely part of the problem. Lets pretend that we have some home training, consideration and understanding of actions and consequences. Example: you leave the ice cream that you thought you wanted on the shelf next to the diapers. A couple things can happen 1. It melts and Aldi takes the loss, prices increases due to this. Now youre paying higher prices or the staff is understaffed. 2. A considerate shopper puts it back in the freezer not realizing it has gone bad and is now filled with bacteria. Someone buys and consumes it. They get ill and sue Aldi. Aldi closes to cover the cost of the lawsuit. Now your low cost grocery store is no more. You are now forced to shop at whole foods where you can only afford bread, 4 apples and a gallon of water before spending your monthly food budget. Get it together, quit being slobs.

The Aldis off E 116th seems to often substitute items for larger quantities or different brands of the same item. As a shopper this can be annoying to have to contact the customer back and forth but the replacement items are practically the same.

So this morning I went to aldis to buy some bread and I sent my man to get the bread while I went to grab other things I needed to buy. So I get home and my man starts making grilled turkey and cheese sandwiches for breakfast and when he went to open the bread the bag was bitten and looked like a mouse or a rat ate some of the bread. Im so grossed out. I told my man when you go shopping you gotta look really well at what your buying. This is NYC is full of rodents but if your a grocery store you need to be keeping them out the store. Makes me feel like not shopping there anymore 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 good prices but they need to do better. 🤮

Want a big bang for your buck? Aldi is the Supermarket for you! We are a family of 3 and have doing our grocery shopping at Aldi for several years now. Everything yes EVERYTHING including the off brand food taste great and the prices are freaking awesome. The lines are a little long sometimes but the cashiers are freakishly super fast. The employees are pleasant, polite and personable as well.

Great Prices on groceries and convenient shopping. The checkout line is often times long and slow moving. Opening up a few more cash registers could be a simple fix.

Good reasonable priced products but watch out for the salads, they are often recalled because of salmonella.

I love this place where you can get more for your money

This place is not what it use to be and what I use to brag about when it first opened in over here in 2012 staff including manager was using profanity just to hold a conversation with each other staff also had 2major isles blocked because they were restocking at the wrong time of day Ive worked retail for yrs you have to work around people. Plus I saw VISIBLE MICE DROPPINGS in the can good boxes total turn off. Store was nasty and not put together like it use to. I blame the manager . Recovery and stocking is a constant project get on top of it

It was cool the only thing was the cashier had a little attitude when I asked her for the plastic bags she said theres no plastic bags but there were plastic bags right in front of her she said no you get the paper bag plastic bags are band but it was raining and I would pay for the plastic bag so I went to a manager and she wrung me up for 4 plastic bags it kind messed up my beautiful experience that Aldi always brings but I forgive her and God bless her and you guys at Aldi peace and love

I love to visit Aldi if you want a place where you can find everything you want go to Aldi. Good quality, fresh merchandise, even the meat and salads are really fresh. The prices of their products are really affordable. I use to buy oat milk from Amazon a 32 ounces for more than $5 dollars and after I found out that I could find the same oat milk and in a bigger portion for less money I didnt think twice to change amazon for Aldi. With the price of one on Amazon I get three on Aldi and 64 onces the double portions. I invite you to see by yourself and you will see. Good luck.

I visited the store today 4/25/21. The security guy at entrance of store was very nice and polite. He welcomed me and my family and wished us well when we left. He deserves a raise. Very professional young man.

IT CLOSES AT 9PM. If the business is changing the hours when I corrected it then you should talk to your employees about why they close early. The security guy locks the doors and doesn’t let anyone in after 9 PM. It’s an inconvenience. But overall I like Aldi and I’ll change my rating when they change it to 9PM as it says on the door.

Great place! Lots of choices. This place is huge. You definitely want to bring your own reusable bags. They have their own bags but they charge you a few cents and they have their own reusable bags for $1.25 or $1.99. Staff could be a little nicer and the place is a little messy

I was expecting a smaller Walmart and thats exactly what I got. This store was clean and not as crowded. The aisles are big enough that youre not jammed into other shoppers. The staff was professional although they could have more cashiers. The wait was not that long but I can imagine that it can get very busy. I came on a Friday morning and that might be the reason it wasnt as packed.This Aldis is located in a shopping plaza that includes Costco and Target. Their produce selections was a bit limited but it was fresh and affordable. Same with the meats.In conclusion if you are just picking up essentials and your cupboards and pantry is already stocked; then Aldis is a great option.

I needed some cherry tomatoes for a feta cheese pasta recipe. I also purchased a bag of mandarin tangerines. The vegetables and fruits at Aldis in general are fresh and at a good price. The only drawback is, get there early because the fruits and vegetables go fast.

Great supermarket with great prices

Cant say enough nice things about this place. Lines can be a little cumbersome but when youre saving dozens-hundreds of dollars a trip, youve gotta learn to pick and choose your battles. Not to sound hokey but literally changed my life and is the best addition to East Harlem in decades.

A little smaller then other aldi locations

Pleasantly surprised with this location. I found the shelves well stocked, organized and clean. You really can’t beat the quality and prices anywhere. It reminds me of Costco without the need to buy in bulk. The produce section did seem a bit bare however, but that could have just been the time of day I went.

Its Aldi. Great prices, good range of products and rotating seasonal specialities that I love. However, there are only ever few checkouts open and long lines. If this were resolved, it would be worth the fifth star.

Ive always enjoyed my trip to Aldis. They have such a great selection of items. At the end of the day, like when I visited today, you might have to pick through the fruits and vegetable department. However outside of that you always get good items at great prices. I love it

Manager for Saturday morning wouldn’t help me get an item in a box that is already on the floor. Sweeping the floor was more important to her.

This Aldi location is spacious, well stocked, and not thronged with bulk shoppers every hour of the day - more than can be said for many. Even so, as by far the least expensive option for groceries in Manhattan, Aldi pulls a crowd. Expect to find daunting queues and empty shelves at peak shopping dates and times. Late mornings/early afternoons are the best times to ensure adequate inventory and minimal waiting. Shopping baskets have been removed due to health concerns, which is rather inconvenient.

Normally I give it a 4-5. Today was a deceiving visit. Produce section looked messy and awful. No fresh tomatoes among other items. Meat section was a mess. For the 1st time in years the cashier did not have a friendly manner. No smile. No greeting. No Thank you. No have a good day. No eye contact.

This store always has issues with the check out lines. Sometimes its only one, when there are two lines the clerks do not inform the shoppers .

Great deals on many products, especially in comparison to local grocers in the area.However, produce is often rotting and doesn’t last very long—especially veggies. Wouldn’t recommend getting greens and veggies from here.Everything else is perfect!

Worst Aldi!I have been to a number of Aldis, this one is a shame: dirty, disorganized, poor quality produce, poorly stocked, small... should I continue?Aldi has not become famous around the world based on this stores quality. Is it because it is in Manhattan or is it because it is in Harlem?

Aldi in Harlem wont let you take the shopping cart to your car to unload your groceries, which makes no sense! We had to leave our state ID to use the cart, which is ridiculous! Ive never experienced this at another ALDI ever!

I felt highly disrespected at the cash register. A cashier that goes by the name, Mike at the East River Plaza located at 517 E 117th St New York, NY told me, “I don’t really care how you feel” and being extremely careless with my groceries. He’s made me feel really uncomfortable I was trying to explain to him that he shouldn’t mix up my groceries like one ontop of the other. The chicken was leaking over the onions and my other groceries was just a mess and disorganized. He was very unprofessional I did not feel welcomed and had a very uncomfortable experience.mike is abusive using offensive language. At one point I ask myself where am shopping at. don’t understand how ALDI -market allow this behavior. Mike seems unhappy with this job.Very unfriendly aggressive

Prices are ok but the produce selection is sad and pitiful. The organic produce selection is even worse. Also, too much packaging and plastic

The food and and prices are great but the staff dont know how to take care of customers. No stars for the staff and three for the store.The cashiers here think they own the place they are rude nasty and treat the customers badly . So people beware of the staff when you go they are not helpful at all. And there is always a problem with the line there .

This place has a good selection of food for everyone. Whether you are vegetarian, plant based, a meat eater - the selection is great. It does get so busy, at times, that the shelves get emptied out and if you are there on that day then you are way out of luck. Staff can be quite helpful and accommodating, but on occasion you do get a sour fruit behind the register. Overall, it definitely is my place of choice for produce and other groceries. Also, the chocolate section is On Point!

Love this place. It is great the food is less expensive and you can get so much more. I been going to this Aldi since it open and i will recommend to anyone. The milk is great. It much better than the one at the other supermarkets. It is more pure, last longer and it doesnt taste like water.

Food prices are great but the lines are horrific. The manger just sat there while customers and cashiers argued about the way the lines were moving amd who was next. Poor managerial.

Good place for gourmet items but lately they have wilted flowers and even some bad vegetables, some associates are good but some need a little cheering. Its a good reasonably price place to find, meats, cheeses, vegetables, nuts even cakes and several vegan items.
