Wonderful! I came here, described the fact that I have a Miele with a 7/8 inch proprietary hose that needs to be connected *by some means unknown to me* to a wye tailpiece for my kitchen sink drain and the person who worked there immediately said that he knew what I needed and came out with the part!Although the staff at Home Depot on 3rd Ave are very friendly, I spent the course of a week following not so great advice. Despite saying this exact same thing to them, they suggested that I buy not only the wrong pipe (in an incredibly flimsy gauge that meant I could bend it with pressure from just my fingers), they assured me that a new dishwasher hose would work. So so wrong! After struggling for some time going back and forth to Home Depot, I finally went to Hercules and got completely sorted out. I will definitely head back here in the future.

I had a really great experience shopping at Hercules supply. The people working at the store are really friendly. They helped me find the right type of screws I needed and let me test them on a sample I brought. I will definitely come back.

If they dont have what you need, which wont happen often, theyll be able to tell you exactly where you need to go.

These guys are AMAZING. Theyve helped me treat so many home issues (mice, ants, etc.) and are always incredibly kind. Theyve even come upstairs to my apartment to help install door sweeps, as I didnt have the tools to cut and install them! Cant recommend enough. 10 out of 10!

This place has pretty much everything you might need. The guys that work there are knowledgeable and well-versed in both plumbing and electric.

I was putting together a shelving unit and it turned out my order came with some of the wrong hardware. I stopped by Hercules hardware store and the owner helped me right away. I brought the incorrect nuts and bolts and he was able to get me the new correct ones immediately. He took the time to test them out to show me they would work for what I needed. He knew what he was talking about and had a smile on his face the entire time. Excellent customer service! Highly recommend them.

I am the president of a two building brownstone coop between Madison and Park in the 80s. During the snow storm a couple of weeks ago I came in to rewire an antique lamp. Together we fixed this little lamp.Weeks later, New York Heating came and checked the radiator valves and boiler in the Brownstowns and neglected to close a capped off radiator and when the boiler kicked in how water and steam filled the fourth floor of one of the two buildings. New York Heating would not answer calls. We shut the boiler off and I called Hercules on the hope he could help. He immediately got on the phone with Manny Blanco who works in a nearby building on Park and 86 and has his own handyman business. Manny and his son Brendan were at the brownstone within 10 minutes and didnt leave until they were certain the job was done and the boiler was back on. NY Heating did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation.Hercules and Handy Manny, ROCK!

They give DIY amateurs and superintendent regulars the same great service! I walked in and set down a mess of lampcord on the desk and basically said help! William helped me figure out exactly what was wrong and was just the nicest guy around. The younger man whose name I unfortunately didnt catch then spent literally 20 minutes with me patiently trying to fix the light switch I had short-circuited. Especially considering I was clearly a customer whos not going to spend much more than $5, I was so grateful that they spent so much time and energy helping me. They had exactly what I needed-- I also overheard them helping a super who needed really old parts for a boiler or something; clearly they have everything. Overall, Im definitely coming back to this place.When I typed in hardware store on Google Maps they didnt come up immediately for some reason-- I only hope they can edit their keywords or something to attract even more customers.
