Good plant selections with a coffee shop in the back. Tools, plants, plant necessities/accessories all in one. Friendly staff, except when you ask to use bathroom and can no longer use it because of one person/incident and treats me as if I was the culprit and as if I dont spend a lot of money there... I was turned off for a while but back now, with a more reserved approach. Ive reduced my presence and the staff has noticed it. Luckily, I only took one Star....

Love Mushtari. Great hardware store, loads of plants and garden supplies also, AND a killing third wave coffee counter in the middle of the store.The prices are fair - some things more expensive than the big box stores, some less. The difference is here you get customer service - ranging from serviceable to great - the latter being if youre lucky enough to get Noel to help you.Honestly sometimes I know I could save a few dollars by going to Home Depot or Lowes, but by the time I get to one of those places and hopelessly wander through the invariable mess - only to not find everything Im looking for, Id rather go to Mushtari and get it done more quickly, and locally.

I went for plants so cant speak to hardware. But the plant selection was wide and included lots of helpful info, from both signage and staff. Compared to a lot of trendy tiny little plant shops, this was a far superior place to pick up some plants for my apartment. Would definitely go again

They are good. But ever since gentrification, their prices have become higher. But that’s to be expected when the W people want to take your neighborhood and can afford the whole store. ☹️.

One of the best hardware stores in Harlem. The recent redesign of the store now includes a cafe. Such a wide selection of plants, tools, and home needs. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. I really enjoy shopping here.

So I purchased the hydrangea plant pictured below on Friday July 24th. As I got home(in The Bronx), I realized there were 2 different prices. I called the store up and spoke a guy that told me to come in Saturday so he can fix it. I got there today which I waited a good 15 to 20 minutes for the Manager to come after the Cashier asked for his assistance. The Manager told me the $49.99 is what the store paid from the Retailer for the plant and how the store charged $59.99 for it because they had to water the plant and keep it alive for it to be purchased. I was blown away by that ridiculous reason of being overcharged. I definitely will recommend checking out their price tags as well as comparing their prices to other stores because they are overcharging for a lot of their items.

I went there to get simple wire snips but they only had big ones. That was not cool. Had to got to99 cents store. But they make key at the Hardware store and they have a whole section of tools downstairs

Great store! Its larger than it looks. It has two floors and a back area too. Pretty much has anything youll need for your average NYC apartment dweller. Friendly and helpful staff. A+

They always try to be helpful. Either I need better Spanish or they need better English. I like to shop there though. I almost always get what I need. Today a watch battery for my kitchen scale and a large box of contractor trash bags using a credit from previous purchases I hsd to return. Theyre always great about that.

A neighborhood gem that punches above its weight. Particularly the Garden center. Very much an old school shelves-to-the-ceiling HARDWARE store with key cutting, custom paint color blending, and frame services. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Limited lumber selection but if you dont see what youre looking for, ask. They even carry sheet plywood though I have no idea where 😁.Of note, if you are looking for trades level tools, youll probly want to go to a specialty retailer as most of what they carry is consumer grade or household. However, for fasteners, specialty angle iron, and electrical they have builder grade stuff galore. Whether youre a renter needing a paint brush, a homeowner trying to find a new lock assembly, or a contractor that needs one more old-work electrical Box to finish a job, they have a little bit of something for everyone.

Standard hardware store that is more than equipped to cover the needs of the repair impaired. Outside of having keys cut I havent needed much from them. The store is organized, the staff friendly so there is really no reason not to drop in instead of ordering from Amazon.

Went in today looking for allen wrenches. The owner was very short with me and before I had finished he had gone back to his guard post in the middle of the store. I wont be going back there.

Surprisingly enough they still stock machine screws in all the different calibrations like all hardware stores used to do. Employee knew what he was doing and helped me find the right one. Price was fair enough.

Mushtari has almost everything--gardening supplies, hardware, paint, housewares, plumbing/electrical, etc. The staff are pretty helpful too.
