Had such an AMAZING experience at Jangmi!! My then-boyfriend (now husband) and I went to go look at engagement rings and we knew this was the place. Richard took the time to explain the four C’s and showed us a few diamonds that fell within our budget (to compare color vs carat). He was also very patient when I took forever and couldn’t decide which setting (4-prong or 6-prong) I liked better.Once it was actually time to purchase the ring, my then-bf thought that he could just walk out with a finished ring right then and there (*face palm*). It usually takes a few weeks to get the finished product but Mr. + Mrs. Kim and Richard super expedited the whole process and made sure that he could get the ring right on time for the planned proposal date.After the proposal, we went back to look for our wedding bands. I wanted my set to be from Jangmi only. Mrs. Kim was very patient and modeled all the bands on her hand to help me find the best one that complimented my engagement ring.Jangmi is literally the best jeweler and they really treat you like family. Every time we went to visit, they remembered who we were and complimentary cleaned my ring. We live in Pennsylvania and it is totally worth the 2+ hr drive to Jangmi.**P.S. we also went to look for engagement rings at Tiffany & Co and you can’t even compare. Tiffany diamonds do not have the sparkle that Jangmi’s has (my husband says Tiffany diamonds look like cataracts). Tiffany is all about the brand name. I had an exceptional shopping experience at Jangmi Jewelers in June! My goal that day was to find a jeweler I could trust in resetting my mothers diamond from a ring wedding set to a necklace and have it completed during my 2-week visit to NYC. First of all, their quality of service and customer care are unmatched. But even more than that, I can honestly say that everyone at Jangmi, from the the owners, Mr and Mrs. Kim, to every employee, is the nicest and kindest people I have ever met. My husband and I went there to purchase our engagement and wedding rings there eight years ago. Fast-forward a few years, and in a moment of post-pregnancy hormonal overload, I stuffed my ring onto my very swollen finger and ran to Jangmi in desperation. They swiftly escorted me to their work room where they painless cut off my ring and saved my purple finger. After I came to terms with my permanently larger ring size, they kindly expanded both rings two sizes, including my infinity diamond band. I lost the small stone in the band twice, and each time, they graciously welcomed me and repaired my rings, free of charge. Between picking out the ring and figuring out how to pop the question, proposing to my now fiancée may be the most difficult thing I have ever done in my entire life. And I literally couldn’t have done it without the incredible help of Sue and the entire Jangmi team who helped me to find the perfect ring. They are quite possibly the only ones in all of the diamond district who would have put up with my craziness.In my quest to find the perfect ring, I spoke with just about every friend of mine that had already been happily engaged/married to get all the pro tips. I spent weeks researching the 4 Cs and literally interviewed all of my fiancées friends and family like a crazed investigative reporter to try to get every hint of what my future bride to be wanted in a ring (to my detriment, I failed to glean just about any of that information myself). As I’m the type of person who needs to see all my options, before going to Jangmi I went to Tiffany’s, I spoke with a friend’s father who is a jeweler, I had a virtual appointment with Blue Nile, and went to a few other shops in the diamond district. And after seeing the competition, Jangmi came out on top.I went to Jangmi because they were the most highly rated jewelry shop in all of the diamond district and let me tell you, the reviews did not let me down. The diamond district is sadly a pretty run down place, but Jangmi is in the nicest building on the street by far. They had the largest selection of diamonds out of any of the other shops I went to, and to my great surprise, their prices are very competitive with what I saw online. Their customer service is second to none – I probably went to their shop about a half dozen times agonizing between the different diamonds and bands and asked them about 64 thousand questions after all was said and done. Most importantly, they earned my trust and acted as my advocate by providing perspective on what the current trends are, what styles have stood the test of time, what a good size diamond is, what factors are the most important for a diamond (pro-tip, cut is everything), and they worked within my budget to translate what was in my mind’s eye into the perfect ring. They even wrote down the specific diamonds I was looking at and the price so I could think it over and come back another time.Additionally, I’m happy to report that after having already made the sale, Jangmi continued to provided the same top notch customer service I had come to expect when we had to go back in to adjust the ring size. I also can’t complain about the half-crazed look my fiancée gets when looking at her ring – very reminiscent of the scene from Aladdin where Abu is staring at the giant ruby in the desert cave.In short, Jangmi represents the very best the diamond district has to offer and I was incredibly lucky to find them. My fiancée and I could not be happier with our experience with Jangmi.

I came here with my now husband to get our wedding bands, and I could not be more pleased with the service and quality of our wedding bands. (For reference, my husband also got my engagement ring here, which I loved!). They were so knowledgeable in aspects of ring shopping that I did not consider, especially because I wanted two rose gold bands with diamonds. They helped me choose which styles would best sit flush next to my engagement ring and what styles would complement it best based on what I was looking for. And actually, for my engagement ring, we had to add a little bar to my engagement ring band because it was just a half size too big (my fault, I told my husband the wrong size, but I didnt know!), and even with that small detail, they went over the different options for having the band fit (having a small bar added, versus two beads added) based on how my knuckles and fingers are shaped and what would feel most comfortable.We have stopped by several times between getting engaged and married and each time we are there, they always remember us by name and do a nice great job cleaning my rings! I highly recommend coming here, even if you are just looking. They are very helpful and knowledgeable in answering questions and giving you ideas as to what might work best for you and your budget. If youre looking for top quality diamonds (GIA certified) at a reasonable price with excellent customer service, this is the place. I recently got my engagement ring here upon my fiancé‘s friends recommendation who also got her engagement ring here about 5 years ago. This was the first store we went and we didnt have to go elsewhere (had another appointment with Tiffany right after but we had to cancel it). Their customer service is excellent! Mrs. Kim was so patient with me (my size is a bit unusual - somewhere in btw. 3.75 and 4) and she made sure I got the perfect size that fits for me. Ive never seen any diamonds sparkling like mine (its a top quality diamond). Both my fiancé and I are very happy with Jangmi and would highly recommend to anyone.

The diamond business is a world based on trust because, to be honest, most of us have no idea what were doing beyond reading a few articles on the 4 Cs. Initially, I was one of those guys. After doing some preliminary research on diamonds and jewelers, I went into Jangmi for the first time thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. I met Mrs. Kim, who greeted me warmly with a smile. I started off very prescriptive - this exact color, this exact clarity, Excellent cut obviously, and the largest carat within budget. Within 15 minutes of viewing diamonds and hearing Mrs. Kims experienced opinion, she had broadened my perspective and had me rebalancing my 4 Cs. My initial consultation at Jangmi was great - saw multiple diamonds to get a sense of whats available, and I got a professional opinion with no pressure sales. It also triggered me to do a lot more research, much deeper than the 4 Cs. I kept in contact with Mrs. Kim over email during my extensive diamond search (asked her a lot of questions), came back a second time, and eventually bought the engagement ring the third time. Mrs. Kim and the Jangmi family were such a pleasure to work with throughout the process - extremely knowledgeable, very patient, and helpful. They certainly earned my trust, and well be back for our wedding bands in a bit.

After we sourced our own diamonds to save cost, we set off to a company well established on social media who had the setting i wished for, not only were their prices insanely high, they charged a HUGE fee for setting stones which were supplied by the customer and also were very pushy trying to encourage me to return my diamonds to sell me stones of their own which were of a similar grade but at a much higher price.After doing copious amounts of research online we stumbled across Jangmi, the reviews seemed too good to be true but i set a time to come in to meet with them.I was taken care of by Pauline, i cannot express how wonderful she was! Not only did she offer me expert advice on the setting i wanted, she was incredibly warm, genuine and never pushy. Visited this place 4 years ago & got my fabulous engagement ring 💍, we didnt have much time in NYC as we were only staying for 4 nights, the ring was customised & ready for collection within that short space of time, we knew it was a tight timeline but the team at jangmi didnt let us down, will definitely visit again on my next trip to NYC & would recommend to anyone

My partner and I came to Jangmi to look at wedding bands. Both of us dont know much about rings, but the workers were extremely helpful and friendly the entire time. This place is just awesome and amazing!!! The process was beyond incredible. They helped me to pick the perfect diamond ring for my fiance. Jangmi is amazing! Mr. and Mrs. Kim have always been so helpful and kind. Our first visit to them was to get more information about rings. They were patient and most importantly worked to get us the best with our budget. We were so happy with the engagement ring that we decided to get our wedding bands from them as well. Of course, these were also perfect! As an added bonus, they are always so welcoming/warm every time I stop by to get my ring cleaned. They even got us bottle of waters one summer when we stopped by looking exhausted from the heat. Staff is truly caring!

Weve loved Jangmi so much that we have bought 4 rings from them within a year.Though you may pay a little more at Jangmi than at an online company, setting aside my belief that we should be supporting small businesses, the customer service for life makes Jangmi totally worth it. After COVID hit, I definitely gained a few pounds... I had to get my ring resized and it was taken care of no problem. My, now husband, and I went shopping in the diamond district for an engagement ring together, not knowing exactly what we wanted but having a rough idea and budget in mind. After visiting a few places with good reviews online, we stopped by Jangmi, another place on our list. Immediately we could tell that this place stood out above the rest! Mrs. Kim greeted us warmly and enthusiastically and after we told her what we were looking for she said education first!. We then got a thorough education of diamonds and settings, we even looked under a special jewelers lens and a microscope to see what she was teaching, as well as to show us the micro engraved code which is etched on all GIA certified diamonds to identify. She discretely asked for our budget and helped us to choosing an appropriate diamond which we set inside a few settings that we both really liked. Wanting to weigh our options and to go home to check our days lesson against what the internet has to say, we left without a ring, and no pressure. A couple days later after everything checked out and the thought of one particular sparkliest diamond ring youve ever seen, along with the amazing customer service, we decided to go back to Jangmi where Mrs. Kim was excited to see us again and recalled everything from our previous meeting. After expressing that I loved a particular setting but wanted something set lower, she said No problem. A few weeks later my custom ring was ready for pickup, and when the love of my life went down on one knee to officially propose while holding that ring I realized how important a proper education on this particular purchase is because I will for sure be wearing it for the rest of my life.We recently stopped by for a free cleaning and Mrs. Kim and the rest of the staff were so warm and excited to see us. This is long over due but well deserved. Mr & Mrs. Kim are so personable. They make you feel so welcomed. They offer a life time of complimentary cleaning for my rings. They greet my now husband and me with such warmth each time we stop by. Mrs. Kim helped my fiancé create my beautiful engagement ring in 2015 and helped to pair it with the perfect wedding band set. My husband tells me how nervous he was during the whole process. Mrs. Kim held his hand throughout. I was very pleased with Mrs. Kim’s design ( center round diamond with varying sizes of smaller round diamonds giving an oval shape with pave diamond band setting). Simply beautiful. The craftsmanship is exceptional and even the appraiser was in awe of the details. They are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond to educate the customer. Purchasing the perfect piece of jewelry is great but the experience Mr. & Mrs. Kim offer while doing so, make them the best at what they do.

I knew a bit about rings before going in with my girlfriend as we had gone ring shopping a few times, but not did they get me up to speed about everything I didnt know. They were all very information and helped me pick out the ideal ring based on my budget.Ms Kim and Narae Ha were a great help to me! They both taught me more than than enough, probably enough to teach any guy the ins and outs of purchasing a ring haha. They even kept the prices and details secret from my girlfriend who was right there, making the whole process seem more traditional with me making the final decisions and her not knowing exactly how much I decided to spend. After helping her try on as many settings as needed to come to a ring she desired we left, and I came back a few more times by myself to pick out the actually diamond and setting and finalize the whole process. They made me feel welcomed, and make the whole process smooth and easy.Also, unlike many other diamond stores, if you buy your ring here and wish to upgrade in the future, they will buy your ring back at full price, not just at 30% or 40%. They own all of their rings, unlike the other places that are leasing or borrowing rings to sell you. I think this is why they can afford to give you a full refund on your purchase if you choose to upgrade to a different diamond.Tldr: hands down, best Jeweler I have ever been to. They educate you and help you make the best decision based off of what YOU want. I never felt like they were trying to push me to buy anything. And you get a full refund on your diamond if you choose to upgrade in the future with them.

I had been recently introduced to the Kims and Jangmi Diamonds when I accompanied my son when he was looking for an engagement ring a few weeks back. We were recommended to Jangmi by a friend and decided to go see them. Once we arrived, we were both greeted by Mr. & Mrs. Kim and their staff. After determining what our requirements were, they proceeded to provided us with important information about purchasing a diamond (The 4 Cs). Being somewhat familiar with this information, it was reassuring that they were very knowledgeable and had a extensive selection of GIA diamonds to choose from. After about 2&1/2 hours of comparing diamonds, my son made a selection that fulfilled all of his needs. After seeing how attentive the were with my son, I also decided to purchased a 30th anniversary ring for my wife. I placed an order about 3 weeks ago and picked it up yesterday and was very happy with the selection. I would highly recommend Jangmi Diamonds to anyone.

Two years ago, my husband bought my engagement ring (and later wedding band) with an intention of a short time frame, less than 1 month from Jangmi, and they delivered a gorgeous ring. He was referred to Jangmi by a friend. Best referral ever. During the selection process, they are fantastic to work with and my husband really appreciated their honesty and integrity. They also help you focus on what really matters when ring shopping, how it looks on your finger, not specs on paper. Also, their post purchase customer service process is great. My wedding band was slightly tighter, and without any additional cost, they rectified the problem. Would definitely come again and have referred them.
