Super cute and cozy atmosphere, large vaulted arched cielings which give it a gorgeous feeling and view. Girls at the front were very nice, they are asking for vaccination proof for indoor coffee and pastry eating but are patient while you look up info/picture. Delicious pastry - everything croissant was amazing and everything Id ever wanted. Must try!
PERFECT SPOT FOR DATE NIGHT! My girlfriend and I have been looking for a great neighborhood bar that offers good music, good drinks & chill atmosphere and we finally found it! This place has such a unique & speakeasy vibe to it. The service is attentive and very professional. Good vibes, good drinks, good music AND great service in NYC - what more could ya need?
Had an unexpectedly fun time here. Stopped in to meet friends for a cocktail/coffee after work because of its convenient location, stumbled upon live opera (!) and really lovely drinks. Staff was super welcoming and apologetic for the slow service (it was pretty packed when I was ordering drinks). Great addition to the neighborhood which tends to not have a lot of options and fantastic place if not everyone in your group wants something alcoholic. Definitely recommend.
Went next door to pick up my order in Just Salad and noticed “Coffee & Cocktail” in the glass window and it’s right in the Woolworth Building. Sold. Felt like you went back in time and speakeasy feel, I ordered dirty chai right off my head for some reason, friendly barista and took my temperature after I said I wanted to sit down for a bit. It was such a nice coffee break, coming back here for many foreseeable days as long as it’s not closed.
Old style after office hours bar and I write that in the very best way possible!! This is exactly what you need for a drink and a snack before leaving fi-di.Actual mugs for the coffee drinkers can take the vibe to the upper level it deserves. (its probably covid stuff, I know..)
This place is pretty unique as far as coffee shops go. The coffee is of course- amazing, but the atmosphere is what makes it special. It’s a classy 1920’s vibe with bright red coffee cups and shiny chrome and marble finishes. The bar is also pretty great, good selection of drinks. Fred makes the best latte I’ve ever had.Beware it’s card only. They won’t take cash.
This place didnt deliver anything that the description said. It felt a little trashy and dirty. The The cocktails cost $16 that are not even made by a professional, for that price you have so many options to go and enjoy a good drink at a real bar. The music was off, didnt match the ambiance, it reminded me like supermarket music (radio music, which I guess is fine, but not for a place to drink). And on top of that, the person making the drinks had an attitude, she was not wearing a mask inside and seemed to be annoyed by having customers. Very disappointing experience.
Favorite cup of coffee in Tribeca! Great way to kick start your day or come in for a post-work Happy Hour and enjoy a cold, fresh draft beer, a delicious cocktail, while listening to live music. Great ambiance and friendly staff members! A must try!
F&D Iced Coffee is a daily first stop. Always have the best croissants ready to go. Beer menu is great and tastes fresh
Five and Dime is great location, definitely a must try if you’re in the area. The Arctic Macchiato is 5 stars!
Great place to grab a coffee or latte. Love the ambiance and the people who work there. Hope to be back soon and maybe try the cocktails.
Five & Dime for sure has the best coffee in Tribeca, it’s my favorite place and that’s a spot I hit before I start the day. Excellent coffee very relaxing atmosphere and great people ! Thank you and keep up the good work.
Really nice place! Cool atmosphere and good drinks. Try the immunity, its my new favorite cocktail!
This place is a true hidden gem! Anytime I have out of town guests I make sure to bring them here for coffee or drinks, especially on a day with live music. Its absolutely beautiful and always a great experience, and the staff is lovely too.
What an amazing spot in Tribeca. The space is gorgeous and the coffee and cocktails are fantastic. Amazing for a date night or for a quick cocktail. Friendly staff and fast service. Highly recommend-one of the best spots I have been to in NYC!
One of my favorite cafes in town. Small, cozy and live jazz music. You feel you been transported to another era
Ordered the arctic macchiato with oat milk from here, best coffee I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place
Only in NYC can you happen upon a local bar and it’s Opera night where you get to hear amazing voices while sipping your signature cocktail.
Nice elegant place. Great drip coffee!
Love this place! Perfectly retro cocktails in an art deco atmosphere. The attention to detail that they took in restoring this Woolworth space is really impressive. Definitely check this place out -- come in the evening for the vintage vibe and well-crafted cocktails, and then come back the next morning for the perfect hangover coffee!
Best coffee in Tribeca and great atmosphere! Awesome spot for an after work drink, highly suggest!
Great ambience and a creative and inspired bartender in the historic Woolworth building.
New favorite coffee shop! Friendly staff and great drinks
Amazing place!!! Live entertainment great ambiance and drinks are the absolute best!!! I will be returning! ❤️❤️❤️
Their Lavender Lemonade is amazing! I originally came in for an iced tea but the barista recommended it and now Im in love. The look of the place is very antique modern with gold trim and accents. Id say it would be a great place for a date or maybe to work on my laptop. It has a vibe that is very calming and the music was chill too, not traditional boring cafe music.
They have amazing lattes! I got the chai latte and it was delicious, definitely recommend this place!
This is one of my favorite cocktail spots! Perfectly made drinks with excellent service.
Great coffee here! I had the artic macchiato 10/10 would recommend :)
A pompous arrogant establishment. Over priced and made sure to charge before allowing to use the restroom. When I wouldnt give my credit card was told thats the only payment accepted even though I had hundreds in my hand was still denied the coffee but most importantly was denied the chance to use the facilities and had to leave bursting at my gut to find an alternative.
One of my favorite places to grab a coffee or cocktail The service and atmosphere is lovely! A MUST GO!
Great cocktails!
Barista was coughing up a storm and just threw a lid on the (dirty) counter at me. All previous experiences at this coffee shop were almost similar. Definitely avoid their questionable cleanliness if you can.
Note: I’m reviewing Five & Dime as a cafe because I went there during the day.I wanted a nice neighborhood cafe with good coffee and Five & Dime delivered. Most guests sit around the bar and chat or read with an easy morning energy. There are also plenty of seats in the cafe itself. They have free WiFi, outlets, good coffee, and great pumpkin bread.Five & Dime’s traditional cafe feel truly I special (especially in this part of town). Enjoy the beauty of the place if you go.
The bartender, Angelika, is excellent. Every cocktail is prepared to perfection with care and balance. Do as I do and come here to write. Some nice conversation here and there but for the most part, peace.
Great staff, coffee and drinks are amazing. Clean and comfortable. Great place if you our killing time between meetings, meeting a colleague for coffee, or a date. A great place!!
Five and Dime is such a unique place. They have amazing opera singers that stop in on Wednesday nights just because. They are amazing singers and that’s coming from someone that isn’t into opera. The service is unbelievable!! Best bartenders ever! I almost don’t want to share. I want to keep it to myself? Just eat before you get there. They only sell appetizers. You won’t regret it!
Great coffee and incredible drink menu with an amazing happy hour (specifically the Prosecco). I was a frequent customer at Five & Dime prior to the pandemic, and am an even bigger fan now. They have a great set up outside the Woolworth building to social distance. They’ve always had an array of pastries and are now offering gourmet pizza and other appetizers (mozzarella sticks are delicious). The baristas and bartenders are also great people, super friendly and accommodating. If you live or work near World Trade or in Tribeca this is a go to spot.
Came in town from NC and found this spot on way to World Trade Memorial. Amazing ambiance, great service and morning cocktails were on point and fairly priced. As a tourist, we also enjoyed walking around the Woolworth Building and taking in the beauty of the artistry.
The atmosphere and the drinks are GREAT!!!! The banana bread is to die for !!!!!
Its a nice quiet place to meet up with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. The coffee is well-made and the service was quick. The young woman running the bar was very sweet, too. Will come again in the near future.
A nice surprise on the side of the Woolworth building in otherwise an area where I wouldnt expect. Amazing new bar in the area. Ill definitely be back and especially to try their coffee out of their fantastic machine.A quaint space with the matching cocktails to boot. Ill be back for the coffee and am very glad I checked this out. If youre in the area definitely come back for some fantastic beverages.
OMG! Come here on Wednesday nights!!! It was the most unique bar experience I have ever had. 3 amazing opera singers were serenading us with their voices. They are there Wednesday nights. Thank you so much. This was the highlight of my trip to NYC.
Being here for the first time with my work stuff. The place itself is super. Cosy and warm atmosphere excellent service and amazing cocktails.Great time to spend weekend evening with friends and have some chill and fun.Wait for me today again Five&Dime.Thanks.
Not as cute as Id hoped. Overpriced - the drinks are currently $16 (not $14 as the menu here shows.) I want the drinks to feature coffee if theyre serving coffee or be very classic if theyre doing the prohibition thing. Im just not really sure what this place is. I want more snacks. Its not cozy but sterile despite the remarkable vaulted ceiling and that its inside Cass Gilberts masterpiece building. The fake plants were offputting. It feels like they took a fast/fresh lunch spot and tried to turn it into a trendy bar. They are serving coffee also and Im into the coffee/cocktails thing but youve got to have a stronger identity. I felt like it promised to be something that it was not, based on the website. I just wasnt feeling this place at all.
Great place .... Ya gotta try it.
This place was awesome. Live performance was awesome. Everything as well organised. Staff were nice. Food was delicious.
Absolutely amazing space. It truly takes your breath away. You can tell the owner put their heart and soul into making this an awesome space. It feels cozy and huge at the same time. The 1920s feel made me feel classy, which was a nice treat. I have yet to try their coffee, but the cocktails are out of this world. Each bartender is knowledgeable and helpful. They also have this sense of being - like they are exactly where they want to be. I think that is a true rarity in NYC. I highly recommend the Lex in the City.
Very nice place to have a cocktail and relax. Could also get coffee and tea, nice assortment of teas, too. Bartenders were friendly and helpful.
Stopped by after exploring the city all morning. Atmosphere was very cool and they made very good drinks! The bartender was very friendly and made us feel welcomed.
One of my favorite bars in the FiDi area. Has a very elegant feel to it with a cool 1920s feel, even if it is a little on the small side. Drink specials for happy hour are diverse and pretty top notch for a respectable price, especially considering its Manhattan. The bartender was great and very accommodating. I recommend their old fashion, not only is it delicious but happens to be a happy hour special on occasion.
Great little bar--excellent cocktails. Have done multiple events for coworkers here. Its practically a well-kept secret, since its never as busy as it feels like it could be, given the location and the good drinks.
Nice cocktail bar with a relaxed staff. $9 happy hour Manhattans and Old Fashions were very nice
Absolutely unexpected spot but so great. The best rye Manhattan ever. Awesome cozy atmosphere, not pretentious and the bartender is fantastic. Go here and get a drink. 🥃
Cozy horse sure bar. $9 happy hour for select drinks and friendly staff.
Great as both a coffee shop and a cocktail bar. Outlets and fast WiFi. Really excellent coffee. Equally great craft cocktails. My only quibble is that they really switch over, and rather early, IMHO. The lights go super dim around 4, sometimes as early as 3. Not great for coffee & work later in the afternoon.
Prior to 2019, 5 & 10 had great food and service. As of May 2019, after multiple negative experiences, due to bad service and an extreme decline in food quality, I will not go back. Some of these include ordering a steak salad which was served with a cold steak the size of a chicken nugget, being turned away at 9:45 since they would not take an order despite the kitchen closing at 10, and a complete disregard for hospitality.Sad to see this place fall apart
Lovely place and Dennis, who tends bar, is among the best. Come on Wednesday and you might get a serenade from opera stars from the Met!
This place looks so dark from the outside you can’t tell it’s even there! This is actually a great thing! Quiet craft cocktails and table service in a gorgeous setting is really one of the quintessential things about living in Manhattan.
Came here for brunch. Concept of everything being 5&10 dollars is very cool and unique. Food was delicious. Kind of a divey vibe.
Master level drinks- try the old fashioned and Manhattan.
The best coffee cocktail lounge in town. Very friendly baristas/bartenders. Very chill atmosphere with a 1920s vibe. It may look a bit intimidating from the outside, but this place welcomes everyone including children. Cocktails, hot/iced coffee, apple cider, hot chocolate, you name it, they have it!
One of my favorite places in the financial district. Handmade coffee and cocktails, who can ask for more. Service is always friendly, the shoppe is beautiful and smells wonderful.
Excellent service and a great happy hour. Management and bar tenders are great.
Try the lychee martini! Yes Im Asian! This place is one of my favorites place to visit for the past 20 year!
Service is nice. Very elegant ambience. They no longer server pour over coffee though because its not popular enough.
I enjoy every visit to this place. Good coffee and cocktail. They have funky menu and nice parties. I ll definitely come again.
I love this place! From the decor to the perfect cocktails to the amazing location. Service is amazing as well. Highly recommend.
Great pit stop! Happy all night on Thursday. Love the Gatsby theme.
Great service, cozy environment
Wow! I had no idea this place was there! Like stepping back in time! Definitely fits in with the Woolworth restoration! What a gorgeous tribute to old Manhattan!
Art Deco Vibes!!! Amazing coffee and drinks at night! Great music and old movies playing in the background!
You wont find any bitter drinks here. The coffee and cocktail are both very well crafted. Fairly priced drinks as well.
Wonderful, classy - but not stuffy - afterwork venue to meet with one or two pals. The one drawback being a tendency to noisiness owing to marble surfaces. Excellent cocktails! Havent tried coffee or wine yet though.
Friendly bar/coffee shop in the iconic Woolworth building. Sometimes an Opera singer will stop by and sing
Great place for cocktails with my good friend Dennis
Very nice high class spot. Very expensive aswell.
High quality pastry, comfortable space, perfect spot to meet near 250 bway
Good after work spot. Small space.
Drinks were great but the bartender was in a mood...throwing stuff and selectively smiling at only regulars. Disappointed!
I had an Americano, which was really strong and smooth. The shop was clean and the staff was friendly. Its conveniently located near City Hall.
Well done coffee place with a touch of retro that casually serves cocktails and wine. Nice.
Great tasting coffee and atmosphere. Ideal cafe for meetings.
Good drinks. I enjoyed the ambiance
Loved having such a great atmosphere and place to come downtown! Beautiful vaulted ceilings, just incredible.
Good drinks, Nir my Heart is particularly good.
Love their Thursday happy hours! Great coffee & cocktails.
Wether it is coffee in the morning or an evening cocktail after a work, this is my new go to spot! Beautifully restored: this coffee an cocktail bar has the Old New York charm that has me returning again and again!
