Such a beautiful ambiance and great hostess! A little pricey considering the size of the candles but the fact you can BYOB and enjoy some karake and good company made it worth it. Will definitely be going back!!

This was a great place for my friends B-day night out. We received the best service by Amy, who was friendly, and made us feel welcomed. The location was small and cozy, with a decent assortment of oils for us to create our candles. I would surely visit this place again.

My friends decided to come to ReWax and UnWine to celebrate a couple of birthdays—it was hands down the best place to do so! Very fun and easy going experience. Marcus was our instructor and he took the time to walk us through the process and engage us on a personal level which made the experience that much better. I decided to do this with my Mom Group Mocha Moms of Jersey Shore. I had a great time and made two candles that I cant wait to use. They are organic and the smells are wonderful. The event was virtual but when I say they are awesome and quick with getting you your materials they are fast. I got mine in like 3 days from when I signed up for the virtual class. Amy was so professional and sweet. She walked me through each step and then we did a fun quiz at the end. I am for sure doing this again I hope to try and do this as a friends and family event or a fundraiser.

I came to Rewaxed & Unwine last week to celebrate my birthday with a group of ten of my close friends and this was our first time ever coming here to the NYC location. And we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our host Amy had the room prepped, cleaned and ready to go when we got there. She was very welcoming and informative with us throughout the night and most importantly patient as well. She also had coconut cocktails for us which was good and We were drinking wine while making the candles which was the best part of the night!This was my first time making my own candle from scratch! The room was set up with a back drop with the logo on it, synthetic flowers that complimented the shelves and on the tables were the supplies to make the candles, AC and good lighting.This business is such a great and fun activity even when you’re someone who buys candles all the time like me. Bring your significant other, family and friends etc. here you won’t regret it. And it’s a great way to bond. I 100% recommend coming here because we felt safe, had a lot of fun picking out our own scents, the room was completely sanitized and we had a beautiful host. I will definitely be back to make more candles! Thank you guys for making this the best birthday!

I hosted a birthday party for my sister at the NYC location this past weekend. Ashley was my rep throughout the entire process and she was absolutely amazing. She had wonderful customer service and was very accommodating as changes took place throughout the week. The night of Amy and Ashley were wonderful host. They were patient and down to take a million pictures of us. They were the perfect addition to my sister’s birthday. I have been recommending this place to everyone who asked about it and will continue to do so! I’ll definitely be back to make more candles as well. P.S. I loved the scents of candles we all created! 🥰

When the birthday group organizer told me we were going to make candles & drink wine - I knew that it would be fun, but I didnt expect the event to blow my mind! Our amazing hostesses Ashley, Donna, Jessica & Jennifer made the party one to remember. Every part of the event, from picking & mixing the scents to picking colors & making the candles with the wax was a blast for our group, and the wine certainly helped! A special call-out for Donna as well, our fearless MC for guiding us through the journey :)

I recently hosted my birthday party here and it was amazing! The staff was so helpful and so fun that it made the party even more enjoyable. Goodbye paint n sips hello candle and sips! This was such a different activity that all of my guests really enjoyed and are extremely excited to go again. The ability to create our own individual scents was the icing on the cake- no two were the same! The venue is beautifully decorated which makes photo ops easy. Although the space was slightly warm, it did not take aware from the experience. Wine, Candles and Music- what better way to have a relaxing and fun time?! The bonus for me was that its a black-owned business! Thanks for such an amazing birthday!

Amazing experience great atmosphere

Came with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. There isnt a sign outside so it wasnt clear where to go in. The space is small but very cute. Pretty flowers hanging from the ceiling and walls; a nice small wall for photo opps; very well decorated in general. When you arrive, you put on an apron and she directs you to choosing scents. Once youve selected a few you like, you narrow down your blend and pour it into melted wax. You can choose a color for your wax or just leave it as white. Once everything is blended, she takes your candles behind the counter to set in front of a fan. During this time, she asked us some candle trivia questions, gave us instructions on how to use the candle (proper wick trimming, the use of candle warmers, etc.), and let us chat amongst ourselves for ~20 minutes. Once you get your candle back, she has a basket of stickers to decorate your candle jar. Theres another comment below noting that it would be cool to get a little more of the history of candlemaking and I agree that would have been a nice addition to the experience. She has a karaoke machine in the back of the room -- not sure if thats only available for large private parties, but would definitely add a fun touch for those who have had enough wine to get up and sing. Overall I thought this was a really lovely way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon.

My friends and I had a wonderful time here. The mood was fun and relaxed. Faith, our host did an amazing job teaching us about candle making and helping us each create our own beautiful and uniquely scented candle. I loved that we had so many fragrance scents to pick from. I also loved that they had natural and non toxic candle waxes to pick from. The coconut oil wax was I nice suprise I didnt even know they made coconut oil wax candles. If you are considering going here, just go ahead and book already. This class will not disappoint👌🏽

ReWax & UnWine was such a sweet experience. Ashley was incredibly kind as I planned my experience for my Birthday. The space is lovely. I loved the fresh flowers and floral garlands. Arbed was a great facilitator. She was a great host. The candle making was fun. So many scents to choose from.Book them and get your creative juices flowing!

I booked a VIP candle making party with ReWax & UnWine for my managers birthday! It was a bunch of my colleagues and friends - such a great time! We were able to bring in food and drinks and set up the table with decorations. The music was awesome and we danced, socialized, sang and of course poured candles! There were so many different scents to choose from. Something for everyone in the group! My coworkers loved the event and we will definitely be back!!

Ashley was fantastic! I took a group of clients to do candle making and it was the cutest, most fun class we could have done! We ordered wine and cheese separately to have during the class, which was a great addition to have. You make your own scents by combining some of the fragrances, pour the candle and can dye the candle too! We even did a quiz about candles and learned how to carefully care for them! 10/10 would highly recommend. They do host events in midtown NYC as well!

This was a great birthday/girls night out activity..... the ambiance and decor was calm and relaxing. Ashley was theeeeee best! She was friendly and had a great personality. If I could give this place more stars I would. Definitely a must do!

OMG so much fun! My husband and I visited Jersey for the weekend and attended a class for date night. During class, we ordered food to be delivered and also brought our own wine so the night was complete! The instructors were very knowledgeable and the environment was very comfortable. We even purchased 3 additional candles to give as gifts because the scents smelled soo good! We will definitely be back on our next visit!

Fiancee and I went on a Sunday afternoon. Nice enough setup, but it is NOT an educational experience. The whole thing is laissez-faire. You go in and select 1-4 scents to put in your candle (out of ~40 Id guess). Then you sit down and the host has you mix them together. Then you pour the wax in your jar, add the scents....and thats it. She then takes your mixtures and goes behind her counter to do something while everyone sits in silence. Theres virtually no other interaction. Theres no instructions beyond pour and mix. No explanation of candlemaking or its history. Zip. We were one of four couples there, and after just 30 minutes we were all looking at each other and whispering, Uh...is that it? Yes, that was it. So if youre inclined to pay a lot of money simply to select your scents and mix it yourself, great. But its not anything beyond that. Three of us couples were all on dates, and we all agreed that it was entirely underwhelming. I wish I knew that going in, because we would have gone elsewhere. Hence this review. Again, nice enough setup and host, but I certainly expected a whole lot more.

Ashley and her husband are very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. With their expertise, they made choosing from dozens of fragarneces and coloring our candles a fun and surprisingly simple process. Because of them I’m thrilled with my candle and would unhesitatingly recommend anyone who’s interested in candles to check this out.

What a most exotic relaxing experience. ReWax and UnWine provided ambience experience the atmosphere was calming and rewarding. The host were amazing and your senses will feel like you are in heaven.

My friend and I found out about this spot through Summer Walker, we decided to take a trip to the Union New Jersey location and when I tell you our experience was absolutely amazing. Ashley (the owner) was so professional and welcoming it felt as if we were friends of hers, we learned so much about different scents and candle making and the atmosphere was very calm and therapeutic. I hosted my friend’s bridal shower at ReWax and UnWine and it was a ball!!! There were so many scents to choose from and the bride got to make a special candle! The music was awesome, the manager was so sweet and we went through about 7 bottles of wine lol such a fun experience! I love natural candles!!!

OMG I love this place we went on a double date with my cousin and his girlfriend and my cousin proposed to his girlfriend!!!! We worked with the lovely hosts prior to make the moment special! They were easy to work with and really helped us form great ideas!!!!The space is sooo welcoming and I love all the floral decor. The candle making is a really cool concept and we shared our experience on instagram. Because it’s def a #instagramablemomemt lol I recommend this place for a doubel date night, girls night out and birthday parties. Femi mentioned a mobile candle bar for the wedding, a make and take station. We will definitely inquire.

Friendly fun atmosphere

My friend and I celebrated Galentines at Rewax & UnWine and had a great time. Wonderful instructor, great ambience, awesome location, & great price point. We were able to being snacks and wine and our instructor was very accomodating. I would definitely recommend for team building activities, date night, girls night out, etc.

This was my first experience with candle making and it was absolutely AMAZING & I would definitely do it again. I got to choose what fragrance & color I wanted my candle to be. Not only did I take home a beautifully fragranced candle, I also learned about candle care & how to prolong the life & fragance of my candle while keeping my home safe. Our hosts, Ashley & her husband were awesome & made the experience easy & memorable.

Overall good time and great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. My friends and I enjoyed exploring new scents and creating our own candle “fragrance”. Looking forward to my next class.

My husband and I had an amazing time at Rewax and Unwine. Creating our own scented candles was a new experience for the both of us and we LOVE candles in our home so this was a perfect way for us to work together in personalizing the perfect scents we wanted flowing through our apartment. When we arrived we were greeted by Ashley and directed to our stations. She gave thourough directions and made sure we were all on our way to making the perfect candles. We met and had great conversation (and Wine) with the other couples and friends as we were all waiting for our candles to dry. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone looking to do something fun, hands on and engaging!

Ashley was super helpful from the starting point to the absolute last minute. Long review because I really had an amazing time. She was courteous, prompt and super helpful in her emails prior to the event. I was celebrating Mother’s Day for some special women in my life and wanted it to be extra special. I bought balloons for decoration-but the place itself didn’t need any, as it was interesting and beautiful by itself- and snacks. I had a party of 5. We were fortunate enough to have a room off to the side with a little more privacy. It was perfect because it was my boyfriend’s mother meeting my grandmother and aunt for the first time. When I arrived, 30 mins early to set up, she greeted me with a huge bright smile and was super genuine. She allowed me to set up and welcome my party in. She introduced herself & politely answered all of our question. She then explained the steps to make our candles. We first had to choose our favorite scents, narrow them down to 2. Then mix it with our hot wax into the container. Then put our wick stick in. Voila, our very own candle. The process could have took 30-50 mins, but it took us waaaay longer. Lol. She allowed us to enjoy the time together by popping in and out to make sure we were okay but giving us space to enjoy each other’s company which was important to us. What was so awesome was that she partook in conversations. We talked about her starting out making candles, her motherhood experience, interesting facts about pregnancy, possible family connections, her family and just overall life. It was great to be able to connect to her on a personal level. My boyfriend thought she was dope, his mom absolutely loved her and inquired about future projects such as Amor Kyoor massaging candles, my aunt pointed out some possible family name connections, and grandmother enjoyed her hosting. I’ll be going back just because a byob candle making is unique AND we LOVED Ashley.Also the cool bean studio was super cool too. A lot of greenery, interesting art, & they were playing Fela Kuti, can’t go wrong there.
