I am surprised of how nice a shoe repair workshop could be, not just the renovated spacious place, but Joseph’s patience, attention to detail nice repair work, and buy 4 get 1 30% or 50% off promotion 😃. With Joseph’s good work, I got my broken PRADA high heel back to something like 80% new and good for a couple more years. Instead of trashing shoes, I prefer this much much more. I recommend Joseph’s shoe repair.

I brought 2 pairs of Manolo Blahnik pumps here to get the soles protected. They came out beautifully done! The owner is thoughtful for your shoes unlike many other places in NY. Its important for me to have service that cares about my shoes as much as I do for them. Very happy with my pumps & I highly recommend this place!

I have been going to Advance Shoe Repair for many years now and I can tell you that you will never find a better artisan than Josif. He is a true artist. He has breathed new life into many shoes and bags of mine. I had a Coach bag that I sent to Coach to fix and they did nothing. I brought it to Josif and it is like new. Josif is great and I truly appreciate his artistry and professionalism.

I wish I could give 6 stars. Joseph was great and my shoes look amazing. Best shoe repair place I’ve ever used anywhere. I live on the west coast and am in NYC for a short job assignment for a couple months. I had one pair of boots I dropped off. He just happened to be close. He took some time to really look the boots over first before even talking with me about what he thought needed to be worked on. This guy is a rare and true craftsman. On my next visit home grabbed several more pairs of shoes just to have him repair them. He offered to add taps to my heels on my dress shoes for like $3 and said I should come back and replace the taps every couple months instead of wearing out the sole. I’ve never had a shoe shop educate me and try to save me money like Joseph did. I felt like I could trust him after that.

Clearly passionate about fixing and maintaining shoes. Extremely friendly. Consistently great results - across different shoes and times, they have provided me sole protectors, resoling, relined leather around my heel, re-heeling, tabs to protect heels, patches, and some terrific shines. Services are not inexpensive, but the prices competitive with others in the area and buy higher quality.

This place is LEGIT!! They do really good work! They do it fast! And, best of all, they have EXTREMELY reasonable prices! I was in and out in less than 10 minutes altering my leather belt - they cut it down 10 inches and punched in new holes and now it fits perfectly!

Advanced Shoe Repair was an absolute delight. I needed to get my watch bands switched. The owner did it within in an hour even when the watch band I wanted didnt fit properly he adjusted it to make it fit perfectly! I would only trust going here and they are so convenient for me!!loved them and would definitely go back!! :)

I was going to dump my favorite boots because I thought they were beyond repair; I checked out several shoe repair shops and the cheapest price tag was $120. I googled this place and besides the great reviews it had a pretty reasonable price...it was beyond my expectations. Its amazing the amount of craftsmanship that went into making my shoes like brand new again and it was WAY cheaper. I promise you wont be disappointed.

This place is more than just a shoe repair but professional cobbler with high quality craftsmanship. I had my brand new leather boots altered for small calves there. The result is perfect like a made to measure. I would recommend this place for any shoe lovers.

Josef is very knowledgeable and educates you on the care and longevity of your shoes. He also makes custom shoes for the entertainment industry and finishes. This place is a stones throw from Penn Station with a huge laboratory in the workshop to bring your shoes to life. He uses a Hardo machine to work on shoes which is a German made machine and there are only four of these machines in the country. He is a Master Cobbler of the highest caliber and degree. He is very friendly and welcoming. I am glad that I found him and his wonderful shop. Joseph rocks! He fixed my Rick sneakers to perfection! They were really gone and now better then new! He understands designer shoes and is an excellent craftsman really! I come from a family of shoe manufacturers and worked summers in our factories so believe when I tell you these gentlemen really are Master Craftsmen.They can handle any job with confidence. You can trust them with your finest shoes and boots and you will be thrilled with the results.They also have a great selection of shoe care products not commonly found in shoe repair shops. Put all this together with excellent customer service and Advanced becomes the place in the city to have your shoes and boots cared for.

I came to Advance Shoe Repair because of all of the wonderful reviews, but I was extraordinarily disappointed. I bought my very expensive Stuart Weitzman shoes and a Milly purse in. I needed completely new insoles in the boots and the straps on the purse glued or sewn back together. They said they had worked with the SW shoes before and that I shouldnt worry. They took a week to make the repair, and when I went to pick both items up, they hadnt glued the insoles to the shoes. Two new insoles were just thrown in the boots (not even into place). There was no way I could slip my feet into the boots without them slipping and sliding around. There was really no need to leave the shoes there for a week, because they quite literally did nothing to them. I pulled the insole out and asked if they could glue them in place. They glued them for me in 3 minutes in an extremely sloppy fashion, so now the insoles are bunched up and uncomfortable to walk on. I then checked out the straps on my purse, and the glue they used didnt even hold. I had to ask them to re-do part of the strap. I rarely like to give poor reviews, but there was no apology and I paid quite a bit of money for something I could have done myself by going to CVS and buying super glue and new insoles. Really wish they could have put more effort into my repairs, and Im just hoping I dont have to return when my insoles that were sloppily glued slip or come detached.

Excellent craftsmanship and better prices than Modern Leather. I went in to get my suitcase repaired. Not only is Advance shoe repair open 7 days a week, they greet you with a genuine smile and they do GREAT work. Highly recommend this place!

I found this place out from my boss, who is a designer/pattern maker therefore he knows high quality, he has gotten a few pair of leather shoes done here. Great business highly suggest it.

Awesome place!!!!!!!!! Excellent work and great customer service.I brought in three pairs of shoes for repair. All three needed new heels and one needed new straps. They executed the task flawlessly and it was reasonable price...I have been won over, this is my new go to henceforth.

I bought a pair of boots at H+M. I loved the way they looked, but I didnt expect them to last long because, you know, I bought them at H+M. Sure enough, after a month of walking, the right sole had a hole and the left sole looked like it was about to peel off. Which it probably was. After seeing an ad in Chelsea Now, I stopped by Advance to see if my shoes were salvageable. Shockingly, they were. Joseph did such an expert job resoling (which cost twice what the shoes cost, to give you an idea about the quality of the service vs. the quality of the goods) that you wouldnt even know they didnt originally come this way. I created a Google+ account just to write this review; thats how impressed I was with his work.

Five stars for sure, these guys are great! If you live in the city your gonna need a shoe repair service, unless you like to spend money. I spend a lot on shoes, and what I’ve learned from these guys has saved me a fortune. Unlike a lot of their competition they understand that happy customers come back. Lets face it shoes are going to wear out, leather soles and sidewalk are a bad combination. I go way out of my way to use these guys because I trust them, trust there’s something you don’t always associate with businesses in this town.

Decent job but not neat. He scratched my watch and charged 90 dollars for adding rubber sole and shoe tree to my shoes. I feel I got ripped off.

Joseph of Advance Shoe Repair is one of the best shoe cobblers in NYC! I have brought over 5 pairs of Fiorentini+Baker shoes, when they recommended his shop and have been satisfied every single time. He makes visiting his shop a pleasure. He is always friendly and educates me on how I can prevent wear and tear on my high end foot wear, so I receive free knowledge and save $$$ which is rare and I have tried other shops and no one compares!!!They also fixed many of my expensive watches and jewelry at very reasonable rates.Its actually a 3 stop shop!Shoe, Watch & Jewelry, Cell phone/Electronic Repair!

Great place to repair shoes, they fixed my problem in less than 2 hours. Also the people who run this store should be careful with their next door neighbors, i read on a review that the dog daycare next door had a very toxic smell, and they blamed it on the shoe store saying the bad smell is coming from there, be careful with those snakes.

Advanced Shoe Repair (ASR) is one of the best and most reliable shoe repair shops in NYC. The owner is a master cobbler with decades of experience and has a deep dedication to his craft and to the customers that walk in.My $50 shoes are treated with the same level of service and care as my $400 shoes, and are always ready on time. Brought my girlfriend here, and now she goes to ASR more than I do. Probably because she has 5x more shoes than me.If I could, Id take off half a star from my rating because they close too early at 8pm. But the workmanship and customer service here make this place a real gem.

The master, very considerate and helpful. Suggests what I can do with my beaten up high-heels to worn out sneakers. Sometimes, (when he didnt do the work himself?) I had mm? finishing. But overall, I would go back to them and let them take care of my shoes.I wish I had more friends in the neighborhood to bring them to Advance.

The guys are true craftsman, not only they are pros on shoe repairs they also do great work on anything Leather related, from fixing or changing the finish to altering it completely to clients preference . I love bringing all my leather good there because I know its on good hands

I had a Louis Vittion vintage bag that was tearing at the seam and took it to this wonderful little place and not only did he do a great repair he held it for me for a very long time over the required 3 months. I tell you its the place for shoes and boots as well he works wonders on repairs on heels and whole bottoms.

For me at least, so convienient, friendly and Down to Earth service. And you arent paying 57th street prices.
