It’s a long line during the weekends, but it is definitely worth the wait. The bagels are simply amazing. I am a fan of the everything bagel toasted with tuna salad. Combine it with a fresh juice and you are good to go.Another good combo is the everything bagel toasted with the Nova salmon and cream cheese.
We decided to stop here on a quick walk in Chelsea. The bagel was good but the lox was amazing! the Coffee was smooth in texture and flavorful. I ordered it with Almond milk which usually has a funky after taste and they beans they used did a great job of masking the funk of Almonds. Great Place to stop.
Sitting in a blocked off area right in the street was an experience, and eating my first bagel in New York was enjoyable. I’m only giving this four stars because of the online ordering system. The earliest pickup time they allowed me to choose was 7:30am even though they opened earlier. So I walked around and decided to go inside and look at 7:10am and my order was already done, sitting in a bag. It was toasted, but already cooled down and I was there 20 minutes early! It still tasted really good and was worth the value, but I wonder what it would have been like if I could have had it fresh?
Loved the honey sriracha cream cheese (on everything bagel). Would definitely return to try their other offerings. I really enjoyed their lattes (both iced and hot). Their coffee menu is pretty simple, which might matter to some that desire a deep selection of syrups and such.
Looking for true NY bagel, thats fresh and delicious? In my opinion, the Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Co has one of the best bagels in all of NY! No matter what type of bagel you like, or what topping you want, if your in the mood for breakfast, or a bagel sandwich for lunch, they have something for you. As you walk by the deli case dont overlook the amazing variety of homemade spreads! The service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back!
This was an exceptional first time experience. The bagels were very delicious. I was in search of great NY bagel and Brooklyn Bagel delivered that very well. So chewy & crunchy, & flavorful. Every bite is like flavor fireworks going off in your mouth. Theres definitely a ton of cream cheese on it but with a few napkins its easy to pull some off if you find it to be too much. The coffee was not the best, not horrible, but it was nice & hot which made it tolerable for me to get past the taste. Definitely worth coming back to try more bagels with endless cream cheese options & breakfast sandwiches.
I love this place. Egg bagel, scooped out, toasted with sausage, egg and 2 slices of swiss cheese. Thats my regular order and its delicious. The line moves quickly, so dont be intimidated if it looks long. Its well run and efficient. Love these guys. Be sure to tip.
The bagels are big chewy and sweet. Perhaps a bit too big, chewy and sweet. The Tofu cream cheese with scallions is delicious though frighteningly abundant. All in all think of it as a once in a blue moon treat 💙 as daily consumption will slow you down.
Im trying to be impartial since its a bagel shop and I shouldnt judge it off my Broadway/whitefish bagel sandwich. Its too salty. Its honestly kinda overwhelming. The onions and tomatoes are not strong enough to balance it out at all. Would probably enjoy it if I could wash out the salt with a drink or something. Maybe if I had chosen a raisin bagel for some sweetness. The sandwich is a 2.5. The bagel is a 4. I gave it a 4 since its a bagel shop and not a whitefish salad shop.
Brooklyn Bagel has the largest and most diverse selection of cream cheese flavours I’ve ever seen. From Pimento Olive to Jalapeño Asiago, the flavours are very unique and you can combine them too, so one flavour on one half of the bagel and another on the second. I especially love that the bagels are handmade too, you can taste the difference.I chose the Rainbow bagel with a half side of Jalapeño Asiago and the second half with Cinnamon Walnut Raison. The cinnamon flavour was creamy and tasted like a dessert while I found the Jalapeño one too be fairly mediocre. My only other complaint was that the bagel was too dense. However, there are a variety of bagels which I’m sure are less dense and tastier than this one.Be sure to check out one of the many Brooklyn Bagel locations as there is something for everyone and the bagel combinations are endless!
10/11/21 update: well the holiday line was a bit long, but not too bad.Still great bagels! The whitefish is still good... got a pic of fresh bagels coming out of the oven!Good bagels and spreads. Love the whitefish salad. Coffee is good as well. Two of the dozen bialys we bought were burnt on the sides, so just look before you leave ;)Certainly will be back... Many more times.
I ordered a couple of times recently from here and we got a bag of bagel sandwiches each time. I got the whole wheat bagel with egg and cheddar cheese. Pretty basic, but it was really good and was consistently good each time we went there. What really works well is the ordering technology. We ordered several bagel sandwiches online, all customized and all came out perfectly at the mobile pickup shelf at the store. This could have easily been screwed up - either the order or the quality of the food. Kudos to Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee.
Bagel itself is okay, but the cream cheese is super! We got blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese, and a whole wheat bagel with the scallion cream cheese. Paid $12 including 12 oz coffee to share. Has four tables outside with chairs, but streets are busy and loud. A good place for a quick breakfast.
Decent bagel that is very worth the price. Lines are usually long but well managed and kept moving quickly. Ive seen some flies inside which is a little off putting to me personally but this is probably true for most places in the city.
Best bagels and cream cheese in the city. The line is a pain, but they do delivery if you can’t take it but it’s truly worth the wait.
The. BEST. Bagel. Ive ever had. Hands. Down. I never understood that a bagel could be THIS good, and trust me, Ive been on the hunt for the best bagel in both NYC and Montreal (two cities who claim to do it best) for a while. I ordered Egg, Bacon, and Honey Bacon Sriracha Cream Cheese (sounds weird, but its DELICIOUS) on an Everything/All Dressed Bagel, and this might be one of the best breakfast meals Ive ever had. So simple. So tasty. Well worth the $8. Pictures do not do this place justice.
Got a toasted plain bagel with egg, swiss, and avocado. It was delicious!!! The bagel was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, soft inside, firm outside. Loved it! 5 stars.
Love this place. Bagels are made fresh every. Pricing is a little high. But the food is good and the place is clean
Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an onion bagel a received what might be THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH known to man. Be warned that there will be a line but it moves along at a good pace. Get some orange juice too, its great.
Delicious new york bagels. They had a great variety of flavors. They everything bagel left a smell trail after me 😅 (I love it). Apparently when you order a dozen bagels, you get two for free which was a nice surprise:)Kind and fast service.
They have great, yet small, gluten-free bage
Some of the best bagels in Manhattan. Order inside far left, then wait to get in line to pay, then wait near the front door to get your order.Always a long line, and always extremely fast at executing & completing your orders.
This deli was freaking awesome!! The line was super long and it moved very smoothly. We ran in there to grab a bite before getting shenanigans started at World Pride and everything was constructed beautifully and tasted great! They had a ton of cream cheese options for bagels. The menu in general was everything youd want from a deli. Considering it was so packed, we were still able to get a seat to eat real quick and the employees were extremely friendly. Will def be back!
Great customer service and on point. Local go to for sure
Busy store, great bagels and spreads. The bagels are really fantastic. Lots of options and combinations. I had an everything bagel with salmon and regular spread. Damn good. Usually a line, but it moves quickly.
One of the best bagels Ive tried in NYC and I dont seek out bagels. My husband really wanted to come and try their white fish spread. Their bagel had the perfect balance of density and chewiness. I ordered the Nova sandwich with scallions cream cheese. It was really good. Highly recommend it. Dont be intimidated by the long line; they work fast.
Bagels good. Service meh. The last few times Ive been in there Ive been chastised for ordering wrong, bringing a dog (15 lb dog) in for a quick order when Ive seen other people in there with dogs (50+ lbs) and nothing said (be consistent with rules), and unfriendly people at check out. The bagels are good though!
Super good. Had the toasted sesame with egg and the bacon and scallion cream cheese. I can die happy.
I never thought bagels can be so delicious. As one can imagine there are many places selling bagels in NYC. Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee topped my research list. I walked half of Manhattan to get breakfast there. There are many different varieties. I tried the blueberry bagel, the onion, all wheat, the plain. I liked the whole wheat smoked salmon and cream cheese. Classic you cant wrong. Bagels are not expensive and I highly recommend you give them a try. You cant find these in England.
You WILL wait in line. But you will wait in line at most places like this here... The difference? This one is one of the best.Get the special. Just get it. Dont ask questions. Just get. And eat. And savour. Your mouth will be happy. If youre vegan/dairy-free - theres options for you too!The staff is friendly, efficient, and they know what theyre doing. When Im back home in Canada, I dream of this place.
Had the Greenwich sandwich with turkey and avocado on everything and an egg, hash brown, and cheese on an everything. Absolutely amazing. The Gouda on the Greenwich was great. The hash brown and eggs were great too, and the bagels were fresh. Great bagels! If you get cream cheese on a bagel, be wary tho, the glop it on.
The food is great but beware ordering online for pickup. I arrived at my pickup time and still had to wait almost half an hour for a single bagel sandwich. Better off waiting in the long line.
What can I say. Do you like fresh warm tender crispy bagels? Do you like an endless choice of bagel topics? both savory and sweet, with textures and layered flavors. Then head to Brooklyn bagel for breakfast. Definitely worth it. The lines can be a bit ling at times which is usually a great sign for a bagel shop.
Meh. Best begal still serves a better bacon egg and cheese bagel.
So good 👍 you walk inside and are immediately engulfed by the smell of toasted garlic and bagels. Bagels are so delicious! They have an efficient ordering system and the staff are friendly!
The New York Bagel experience!! Tons of delicious choices. Freshly made bagels right there in the store. I tried the their popular classic Nova (Tuna, onion, cream cheese and capers) with everything bagel and loved it.Does get very busy but line moves fast. Small shared ordering/waiting area. Finding seating can be a challenge so best to take it out.Highly recommended!
Dont quite understand the hype around this place. Bagels were fine, not the worst but definitely not the best Ive had. Not worth the long lines...
Small but awesome. Well run and perfect nyc bagels...the best.
Absolutely terrific! Came here on a Sunday morning and the line was out the door but the wait to order was about 15 min. Once ordered, the food ready in a few minutes. I had an onion bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese. Bagel was perfectly toasted and the spread was delicious. They also have a large variety of spreads to choose from. Would definitely come back again!
I thought this would be a basic bagel chain, but I was pleasantly proved wrong. The bagels are fantastic! They are truly delicious new York and delicious! Try the salt bagel for a great local experience.
The bagels here are so fresh and I loved the variety of flavor options! It was busy when I went on Saturday morning however, I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Would absolutely recommend!
Flawless for bagels, it has a variety of flavors. The most famous flavor is cream cheese. I can bet you will never be bored once you enter the shop. Everything should look perfect, but a star deducted comes from the overprice of beverage. Here is coffee which is too low grade and low quality for coffee’ lovers. In addition, beware the pricing policy here, it is a bit tricky. I ordered a set of 3 omelette where the sign said like the price of bagel served together has already included. In fact, it is not!
First time in the city so of course had to get a bagel. These were delicious and a generously sized.
The bagels are consistently terrific. Ive tried bagels all over NYC and theirs are certainly in the top tier.
Excellent bagels! Well set up for quick service. Fairly priced, especially for NY.
Spent two days of my vacation in the Big Apple. Very exciting and part of the fun was eating actual bagels made in NYC. They are like no others on earth, perhaps its the water, idk...but they rule. Iced coffee was great too. Would have been 5 stars but due to Brooklyn Bagels outright refusal to provide my wife and I and our 4 children one single, solitary plastic knife for which to split our bagels (restaurant charges extra for cutting, I get it, it New York) and more importantly, to apply cream cheese to our bagels. The first time it happened I let it slide as a minor inconvenience, but day two, after I specified that we were in a hotel and to please send a knife...and still nothing. I dont know how others do it here but when I travel and stay in hotels I dont bring a set of cutlery with me. Would have been better, could have been better.
Delicious breakfast everytime! Fresh bagels. All different flavors!
I love coming here when I visit Manhattan….the bagels are made right it be store (you can watch them in the back as you order), and the cream cheese spreads are fantastic and plentifully. I personally love their Lox bagel, but their strawberry cream cheese is absolutely incredible!
Found this on Munch (review app). Best bagel in the city. Perfect crust to puff ratio, not to mention the lox and scallion cream cheese were amazing too. If bagel perfection exists, my money is on this one
Nice bagel spot! There are lots of bagels to choose as well as other breakfast choices, I had a sesame seed bagel, toasted with plain cream cheese and it was delicious! They have many cream cheeses to choose from and from my experience with the plain cream cheese I can say that it is delicious! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the coffee, didn’t really taste like coffee to me. I would totally recommend it for bagels!
Great bagels!! I had the toasted everything bagel with smoked turkey, bacon and jalapeno cream cheese and it was sooo good! Warning these sandwiches are huge! I could only eat half! Its a great location easy to find and while the line is long it moves fast. Ordering and paying is easy it gets confusing when you go to pick up your food. You order and they give you a slip of paper you take the paper to the cashier and she rings you out then you wait for your food. The first 2 steps move so fast that everyone begins to huddle up and get out of order as they wait for their food. Orders come up as they are finished so if your order has more to it it will take longer so they call them out not in numeric order so it get confusing. Still totally worth it!! Highly recommend!
Wherever I go, I ask myself one question. Whats something that this place is known for. And at NY, I had NY pizza, halal food, Asian food and bagel. And the bagel happened to be from here. The place was pretty packed. The person who took the order recommend their signature Salmon bagel. We had to wait for like 15 to 20 minutes. However, the bagel turned out to be soo good that we were so glad we waited. One bagel will really fill you up. I was the only one who ate all of it immediately. Im definitely going to try their other signature bagels next time Im at NY!
I got the Astor (Turkey, Bacon with Jalapeno Cream Cheese). There were too much turkey which overwhelmed other flavors (Bagel, bacon, cream cheese). I did try another sandwich which was great tho.
Great bagels - we get the smoked salmon with dairy free vegetarian cream cheese, capers, and tomatoes on everything. Online order system works well.
Mike Chen sent us here and we were absolutely not disappointed! Huge bagels, amazing cream cheese and a great price for the amount. How can you go wrong?
Stopped by on a busy Saturday and this place of course was completely packed. My friends and I ordered a couple of lox everything bagels and a cream cheese with blue berry bagel. Now these bagels are stuffed with cheese and lox. Theyre huge and weight alot. The bagels themselves are made in house. The outside texture is very crunchy and the inside is very soft and chewy. Prices are very reasonable here. This place ranks as one of my favorite bagel spots based on value and quality. For what you pay you get alot. Also the variety here is great. You can have sweet and savory cream cheese or bagels
Totally worth waiting in the long line outside. Massive bagels were the best we ever tasted and so many unique flavors of cream cheese (honey bacon Sirracha!? Mmm!) my favorite was cinnamon bagel with cinnamon walnut cream cheese. The coconut bagel didn’t overdue the coconut flavor it had just the right amount. We loved it so much we came back again for breakfast before getting on out plane. Oh and thankfully service was also great.
Tasty bagels!! I have come back everytime I go to NY
Very busy in the mornings. Must be a good place, but I dont know much about bagels to review.
We wanted a great bagel experience for our visit from Buffalo, where the only bagels weve ever known are Wegmans an Tim Hortons 😥). The place was jammed on a Tuesday morning. I dont know how they keep that line moving, but they do. And the staff was in the zone, but friendly. I had savory, just a regular bagel with enough olive cream cheese to power a 10-mile hike through lower Manhattan - crispy, pillowy soft, enormous. My wife had sweet, blueberry with a berry cream cheese. One half did her in. Highly recommended!
My go to bagel place! their bagels are so delicious and they have the best selection of cream cheese
The bagels were awesome but even better was the customer service! They made a slight mistake on our bagel but then gave us one for free! 5 stars!
I could eat this every day! Amazing fresh bagels and other baked goods. Very quick service. The inside was reasonably big too with a decent amount of seating.
These were some cheap and tasty bagels with fast service. Can’t go wrong honestly. I think mine ended costing less than $5.
Coffee here is very good. Got two breakfast sandwiches (hungryman and ham, egg, and cheese) and a bagel with cream cheese. Bagel sandwiches were good, but honestly, if I ever go back, Im skipping the breakfast sandwiches and going straight for bagel and cream cheese. Bagels are soft and chewy. There are so many flavors of cream cheese and all the ones we tried we great.
Amazing choice of cream cheese spreads and they give a good portion of it!
Great fast service. It is like a machine. Bagels are massive. Probably split one if you arent a big eater.
Bagels were huge, delicious, and had great coffee and tea!
Wow! Best Bagels I‘ve ever had! You Can Choose from a lot of delicious bagels, toasted or Not. All of The spreads we had were great, though some of them were quite exotic 😉 i would go there every morning if i lived in NYC 👍
