Definitely a very good Bagel place. It’s super busy in the mornings. Better decide what’s your order and be ‘very’ loud cause I had some trouble with that which probably made them annoyed which was a turn off. Although, very much understandable with the rush. Lot of options for Bagels and Cream Cheese but limited for coffee. Cool patio. Worth a try!

Addicted to the “Everything Flagel” here! So excellent. You Get the full bagel experience without all the breading of the regular bagel. Many options for bagels, cream cheese flavors and sandwiches. This shop is super small, but *very* efficient! Staff is lightning fast and friendly. You are not getting better anywhere in the city! Love this place.

Late afternoon selection was limited, which is expected but happy they had some flagels. Not a very inviting atmosphere, like they dont want to be bothered. Late afternoon Bagels are OK but will have to go try again in the morning, which would probably be totally different.

Honestly, they were a little light on the cream cheese. In NYC, I expect a giant slab, so I was a little disappointed. Regardless, the food was delicious. This is sesame bagel w sundried tomato cream cheese. There was a line out the door which always says something. This is definitely a quintessential NYC bagel place- small, busy, and fast-paced

Visited Bagelworks for the first time Sunday morning. There was a large line out the door. It didn’t help that it was directly across the street from a church that just let out.Bagel was solid and the smears were thick. If i’m in the neighborhood again I’ll return.The outdoor seating was appreciated and prices were surprising low even with drinks.

I would give negative stars if I could. Ive had orders consistently wrong in the past that I usually overlooked because the shop was convenient for me. When my order was majorly wrong today I went back and asked politely for a refund/cost difference for the items and was greeted with hostility, anger, and rudeness from the entirety of the store (4+ employees) who refused to refund me.Dont go here. They get your order wrong over half the time, theyre beyond rude which takes a lot for a New Yorker to say, and worst of all the bagels arent even very good. Go out of your way 5 more minutes and get yourself something better so you dont have to call Amex to dispute your charges for dumb bagels on a Sunday morning. Oh and dont even think about delivery from them on god.

Not celiac safe! They have gf bagels put separately but when I asked how do they prepare them, the man was very cynical in his responses, not nice and not understanding for people with allergies. He didn’t clean a knife and he put paper on the counter full of crumbles. And I paid $16 for such a poor service.

Every day while we were vacationing in NYC (I needed a vacation after that visit, of course), I walked by Bagelworks. Because we had the kids and you couldn’t sit down we went on to another morning spot. On my last couple of mornings out I walked by alone and decided to stop here and grab some to go for the family. I am really glad I did too! This place was hammered with customers, but somehow the employees managed to get the job done quickly and efficiently. I wasn’t even sure anyone was working on my order and then, “Bam!” there it was on the counter. The bagels were excellent! The lox spread was excellent! My family thought so too, especially my son. I hit the same spot the next day and grabbed extras for the long drive home...put them in the cooler and ate them over the next few days. Memories of eating bagels in the Big Apple stayed strong thanks to Bagelworks. It gave me at least a few (cheaper LOL) extra days in the City!

Really rude customer service when taking orders and picking up - employee talking back to you with attitude. Would much rather give my business to Tal Bagels or Pick a Bagel on the UES. Better bagels there too

I was in the neighborhood for an extended period and hit this spot up every morning. This is a special NYC bagel shop. Lots of baked goods all very much made inhouse (muffins, rugelach, cookies and bagels). The bagels and flagels are absolutely perfect. The balance between crusty exterior and chewy interior may be done better than any other bagel I’ve had in the city. All the cream cheese options you would expect are there, but honestly the cream cheese here is not the greatest. It doesn’t have a strong cream cheese flavor and texture is a bit off but it is serviceable. No matter, I will always hit this place up if I am around…the bagels are that good.

We order from here every weekend and its usually fine. However, we will never order from here again. When the order was over 30 min late, we called to ask about the status. They said it would be there any minute and would even send another order, but they never did. After another 30 min, the food finally arrived, but it was the wrong order and the food was cold and poor quality. When we tried to call again, we could not reach them, it kept saying the line was busy. We are regular customers, and these people lied to our faces and gave us the wrong order over an hour late. Why would they treat a new customer with respect and be reliable when they wont treat their usual customers this way?

Best bagels in NYC! I order from here on the regular, and they are always fresh, delicious, and consistent. They’re chewy and dense, just how a New York bagel should be and they have a huge assortment of cream cheeses that are all delicious! Delivery is typical very quick, although I’ve had a couple of issues where it took well over an hour. They rectified the issue right away. Aside from the bagels and cream cheese, I highly recommend the chicken salad with dill, as well as the muffins which are homemade and amazing (particularly the mocha chip!!)

The bagels are wicked good, they have a lot of different flavors of cream cheese. We had an everything bagel and sesame seed bagel both with olive pimento cream cheese. The bagels are made the right way and are fantastic! I only have 2 comments regarding cream cheese, I like a small amount and these come with A LOT of cream cheese, and the olive and pimiento needs more olive. The briny flavor of the olives is my favorite part.

I went there today we moved up to the register the owner herself told us “it’s because you were talking” when we said our order hadn’t been taken. Later on when we called in to place a complaint after a while of talking she said “what do you want me to do? give you $100?! What is it you want”. I’m not sure if this is how you handle complaints when customers come in or if that’s how you talk to customers but this is beyond unprofessional. You do not address ANYONE like that. It was absolutely disgusting.

When you had a rough morning with your 2 year old son, all It took was an everything bagel & chocolate muffin from here and instantly he was a happy boy again.

Bagels werent my favorite. Not much of a crust and not very chewy, just kind of bready and spongy. Salmon spread isnt particularly tasty, and is an off-putting pink. Sliced salmon sandwich, on the other hand, is pretty good filling-wise.*But note: bagel preferences are very personal! The line went to the door, so clearly theres something to like here :)

Loved the fact that you could literally see the bagels being made in front of you and their rotating oven with bagels on them. They also have a vast assortment of cream cheeses from plain to blueberry to maple bacon cream cheese.Though its a little pricey its nice stop for a quick breakfast.I myself, had a roast beef sandwich on a roll. The consistency of the bread actually reminded me of Jamaican hard dough bread which I enjoyed. You could tell it was made fresh.
