Staff is extremely helpful given the bustling location and customer volume, which I loved seeing so many customers in a craft shop. The Quarter Stitch has a wide variety of cross stitch patterns highlighting the local attractions (CafΓ© Du Monde, alligators, Mardi Gras) as well as floral patterns and others. My personal favorite was the locally dyed yarn in colors like Crawfish, Rhythm and Blues, and Grand Isle. Even completed the experience with stitch markers of skulls, fleur-de-lis, and a king cake baby πŸ˜‚!The staff take care in wrapping the treasures in tissue paper, in a plastic bag and topping it off with ribbons.Love this little shop! If you are a crafter, its certainly a place you cannot miss!

One of the bigger shops in the quarter and beautifully stocked with all variety of yarns, notions, and cross-stitching. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable and there is plenty to choose from for souvenirs, even if space is a concern. I got some lovely local yarn, a handmade stitch marker, and a weight measure and it was all reasonably priced and extremely high quality. It is truly an oasis in the quarter and a must-visit for any knitter or stitcher.

An enchanting knitting and embroiderer store in the heart of the French Quarter.I was very surprised to find this charming shop and even more delighted as I wandered inside. For cross-stitchers who want to remember their trip to N.O., they have a variety of small patterns for landmarks in the area, such as Cafe Du Monde, ect. Wonderful service. Once of the items I wanted, they didnt have in at the time, it was no issue to pay for it upfront and then they sent it to my home when it arrived in store. If you love to stitch, check them out!

The store itself is an experience visually. Theres not one area that isnt captivating to the eye. So many textures and beautiful hand dyed yarns! Yes, the prices may seem high compared to yarns coming from a mill; however, many of these yarns see hand dyed, making each skein unique to its batch. I highly recommend checking this place out, it is well worth the visit! I am so happy I had the chance to go while I was visiting my friend in New Orleans, hopefully Ill be able to return again soon! :)

This shop has such a beautiful selection of yarns and colorways. I wish they had a yarn store like this in Baton Rouge. I came with a budget of $100 but ended up spending almost $200 because I couldnt narrow my choices down. Theres a wide variety of fibers, brands, and the staff is very helpful. I learned that they do ship so it will save me a trip next time but I think Ill drop by whenever Im in town. Theres nothing like being surrounded by great quality yarn.

Excellent shop. Very friendly staff & great to work with. A lot of needlepoint (my canvas came with fibers!). Also large yarn/knitting selection. Small cross stitch section. The only drawback is the location is right in the quarter so getting there was a bit craxy.

The women were very friendly and very knowledgeable. I didnt realize that I had come in when the store was about to close, but the owner allowed me to browse to my content without getting rushed. The quality of yarn there is fantastic. However, dont go there if you need something simple that bulk yarn at Michaels or Joanns can take care of. This is more specialty yarn from my observation.

This is a lovely and friendly yarn shop just off Jackson Square with a mix of widely available brands and ones that I had never encountered before. It features what is possibly the best selection of cashmere and silk blend yarn on hand that I have ever come across. That also means that if youre drawn to those yarns youll be spending at least $30 on a skein, so prepare yourself! Otherwise, I have happily visited this shop the last two times I was in New Orleans and come away with something unique to add to my stash.

The ladies at the shop were wonderful! They were so helpful and friendly. I arrived shortly before closing time and they let me stay after a few minutes to look around and pick something out. They showed me a lot of great products and ideas for projects to go with them. The prices were a bit high, but expected for a shop so close to all the New Orleans hot spots. The jazz music from Jackson Square made a nice soundtrack to my shopping experience! Great location and a wonderful shop, Im so glad I found it!

Im so happy I decided to look up a knitting store while I was in New Orleans for the weekend. I went looking for some dpns and stitch markers which I needed to finish a project on my flight home but I fell in love with the store! My friend, a non-knitter, went to explore elsewhere, but eventually came in and looked around and was attracted to the hats they had on display. They gave me 2 free patterns with my purchases. The women working were also so helpful and friendly. They bagged my purchases up like a gift and it was such a nice touch. As a new knitter, Ive been working with mostly cheap, acrylic yarns, but I think this store brought me over to the dark side and I purchased my first two balls of high quality yarn. I will be lucky to visit the store again if Im ever in New Orleans! Highly recommend!I never write reviews but there is a reason this place has so many good ones!

Friendly, helpful, professional - and gorgeous yarn! I found the prices comparable to better yarn stores in NYC (my hometown) and other cities: no bargains, but the yarn and the advice are the best. I always say I dont knit to save money on sweaters, I knit to save money on therapy and the sweaters are just a nice bonus. So you might as well have the deluxe therapy! I was sorry that I was only looking for a pattern. The staff quickly figured out the sort of style I was looking for, and narrowed down their books and patterns, then found the perfect one on Ravelry and printed it up for me. This must be a very low margin item for them, but they wrapped it up with a bow. Id say it was the time I spent there that was the present to me, though! I will definitely be back in New Orleans one day, and definitely come back here!
