Mark and the guys are great! Outside is infested with those damn Lantern Flies 😳

First off, these guys dont get enough praise for constantly being under the gun with a bombardment of customers back to back. They were slammed yesterday from 6am with people waiting for them to open until I came in at 11 to get my exhaust fixed. The best part is that even tho they had so many customers already and many more waiting they were more than happy to deal with my car. Yes I had scheduled an appointment but still, it was a custom job and not something they had to do.Curtis was the mechanic that did all the work. He was really cool and explained what he thought would get the end result that I wanted. I thought going into this that this would be a simple Exhaust Flange Gasket but unfortunately it was not that simple, as you can see from the pictures. Either way that didnt deter Curt. He cut some of the old pipe off and welded new in place. Now the car doesnt sound like a tank running down the road lmao.The wait wasnt that long either, and the waiting area was pleasant, nice and cool and had TV. I didnt get anything but theres a soda machine and restroom. Theres a bunch of seating and you can watch as your vehicle is being worked on.In closing the price wasnt bad for what needed to be done. I will definitely be going back next week for an oil change. I would happily do this myself but of course my apartment complex doesnt allow the residents to work on their vehicles 😒

I had visited this place again since I had a good experience in the past. This time its a horrible experience. I had my car in for a bent rim I went on Thursday(10/24/19) morning at 8:00 am I have waited for an hour and there were two people that have been helped who were in after me. Finally they got in my car and started inspecting but another guy (Mark) I guess was very serious that the mechanic did not take my vehicle for a test drive. Then the mechanic was assigned to another car. Then I had to wait half an hour for that manger guy to Mark to inspect my car and take it to test drive. After coming back he had mentioned to me that my rim was bent and need a new rim. Then I asked him to change the vipers and this was the worst job ever. This guy doesn’t even know how to change vipers which is the basic thing and they screwed it up. I just noticed my vipers today and they look bent and not cleaning my whole windshield. Never visiting this place again.

Expert mechanics knowledgeable in all you need for your vehicle. Friendly staff like Mark who wont try to rip you off by offering what you dont really need or do any work that was not authorized by you the customer.

I really like this Midas, I recently purchased a 2009 Kia Río (used) and needed some work done. The guys here looked over the car for me (free), told me what I needed done, and got it done quickly. They really explain every detail and gave me great prices for the work I needed done. There was one incident once but it was fixed for FREE! (I gave money still because no labor should go unpaid). I definitely recommend this Midas location in New Castle, Delaware.

They always answer the phone. They are thorough with their observations. And give you the most information possible. They take the time to explain what parts you need, how long they take to replace. And what the parts actually do. They are a little pricey compared to other places, but they get the work done properly and efficiently.

Ive taken cars here for at least 15+ years. Reliable service is always given. The management has been consistent. The rates are good. If you live in - or near - New Castle, use Midas. Im sure will be pleased. I know at least 6 other people who would tell you the same thing😊

WHAT A SCAM!! Called for an estimate- they told me to bring it in but estimated $95 after they looked at it they wanted $900 I said no and then they charged $220 for diagnostics? Not once did they say there was a fee to figure out the problem. Warning ⚠️ stay away far far away

Go to a different Midas location! I called in on a Tuesday to make an appointment for a Wednesday afternoon. I was assured I didnt need an appointment because Wednesdays and Thursdays were not busy days. When I got there at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon I was told it would be over an hour wait. The Midas locations on Kirkwood highway will make an appointment for you and get you in and out quickly.

They did a great job and fixed my car thousands of dollars cheaper than I was quoted. The car runs great I am very happy

I went in to get an oil change and then 20 minutes after driving off my car started overheating. When I took the car back they said it was something wrong with my thermostat and that it will cost $300 to repair it. I went back the next day and dropped my car off only to receive a call about 1hr later that the car needs a new egr tube and that will be an additional $300. When I picked up my car it was leaking coolant and shaking and still overheating!!!! I got my car back in waaaayyyy worse condition than I took it in. I had to get another mechanic to replace the egr tube ( I still dont know how that started leaking all on its own!!!). Im not saying there was any foul play...maybe all these things just coincidentally happened on that day....all Im saying is I wouldnt take my car back there and I caution you to not either ☠

This is the best Midas around. After checking other mitases for the exact same problem, this one pointed out it was a very basic issue. They didnt even ask for any payment, said it was still under warranty. The other shops tried to charge for various other problems.

My first time going to this location due to having a bad experience at the Kirkwood Highway location. This place has great service, they’re honest, straight to the point, and fast. Essentially, my routine maintenance took about 30 minutes (48k miles). I will come here again for sure.

I arrived here to have some work done on my car. This is the breakdown of what it will cost me. The parts is what cost the most. Therefore, I will buy them elsewhere and have them do the work. Overall, I will recommend using them for your car service needs.

Ive been a customer of this shop since 2002. Mark and Ernie are guys and wont cheat you on the price. Ive trusted them with 8 of my vehicles over the years. They tell you whar you need right away and what can wait. Great place. Highly recommend them.

I liked this place - the people seemed honest and knowledgeable. I will be taking my care there for care; and with a lot of absences it went well and quick.

Good work but the prices at the end be outrageous at times. Cost me $220 for a coolant flush and fill, new heater core hose and a metal clamp. Good thing is they gave me a $70 refund, realizing how high the price was for the job they did.

Everything went very well as usual,No complaints.

They charge me $535 Dollars for nothing! I went there with my check engine light on and paid $535 only for them to tell me three weeks later that they cant fix the problem so I must take my car to the manufacturer.. not a good place they or thieves.

I payed to have my oil changed and they said I needed my time belt done. I paid to have my cam and crank seal fixed too but they were not. I drove the car and was leaking oil worst than before. I drove it in and explained the situation and they said it was ok. I drove it and at home there was not oil in the car! I drove back the next day and they said that the main leak was some were else and cost me over $200 and I would have to pay for a oil change! I looked at home and the oil is still dripping in the cam and crank seal. This is crazy. Do not go there my car is now worse than before paying to get it fixed and now they will not fix it. I have taken it 3 times... and they refuse to repair the cam and crank. Do not trust them they will mess up your car.

The Midas shop located in New Castle Delaware is NOT to be trusted. I have already contacted Action News and the Midas Media Center. I will also be contacting the Delaware Court, Ripoff Report, Pissedconsumer, and the BBB.I will update this review with the results.Friday November 18th I took my car in to be repaired by Midas because my vehicle was making a sound everytime I put my foot on the gas. Midas said it was the alternator and charged me $513. However, as I drove my car, the problem was still there. I called Midas again to let them know but before I can get back in, on November 23rd, the car broke down. I had to have it towed to Midas. They then said that I needed a new fuel pump and that the cost would be $579. Midas was not happy at all when I decided to buy my own part to get the cost down. I received a phone call by Mark stating that I gave them the wrong part. That was a LIE that was confirmed with the parts store and with the mechanic when he told me that the fuel line wasnt long enough. He said that he may have problems reassembling the vehicle because of the fuel line.On November 25th when I went to go pick up my car there was a note on the dash. It read:LEAKING ANTIFREEZE UNDERHOOD.My car wasnt leaking antifreeze when I dropped it off so it shouldnt be leaking antifreeze when I pick it up.UPDATE!!! Testimony Time. I won my case in court PRO SE. Hallelujah!!! My expert witness verified that the dirty little rats took a fuel pump out of my car that still worked. I had it in my shed for 2 years. THANK GOD that I asked for my old parts back during the repair. I also discovered that they charged me for parts and a service that I never needed including a service that I received from a dealership 3 weeks prior. OPEN YOUR RECEIPT and CHECK IT before you leave the facility. Thats how they are able to deceive. No one looks at their receipt to confirm. We just trust what they said. Report them immediately to the attorney general. They get away with it because they are not reported. The attorney general will start issuing fines if they get numerous reports. Mark and Ernie are MAJOR DECEIVERS but they cant fool God. Im so glad that my Heavenly Father hates unrighteousness! Hallelujah!!! I WON!!!

Took my vw here and it was in and out of this shop for the last two months. After 1600 dollars in parts and labor my car still has the same problem it went in with. They did nittake responsibility for not fixing it properly. Just handed me papers saying they gave me four flushes for the price of one. Uhhh thanks I guess but my car still over heats because you never fixed it right to begin with. UPDATE: so I had my car worked on today and it was confirmed the midas put the part in wrong. 700 dollars they charged me to do the job.
